Crix Dolan was a gun-slinging smuggler and enforcer for the Five Syndicates during the Forcer Eternal era. His life up until his mid-twenties was average for a lower middle-class citizen living on the city planet of Denon. It wasn't until the war reached his homeworld that his story began to take shape. Originally, a starship engineer, Crix took what he knew and joined a gang of partisans.

Even before it became the powerhouse it is now, The Sith Empire, was a formidable foe. Following a string of luck-fueled victories on a supply train funneling through the Corellian Run, Crix and crew were utterly defeated in a decisive dogfight just outside Denon's sister planet Spirana.

Managing to escape with his life, BeeGee his astromech, and what was left of his starfighter, Crix swore to take revenge on those that set his home ablaze. Unfortunately, the raging fires of revenge must be fanned frequently, or else they dim and wink out. After his pilgrimage to the Nar Shadda, Crix was hired by legendary assassin Ines, to hit a gambling house on the planet. Their mission was dicey but successful and that sent his worth on the planet skyward.

Crix prospered as a freelance smuggler for a couple of years working for both the waining Crymorah and waxing The Hutt Cartel. It was during this period that The Smuggler began expanding his scope of influence. He was offered an opportunity by the senator of Tenabb, which he took. He was able to convince, the then, rising star Mordeth the Hutt to be his backer, and he was wrapping up the subjugation of a group of pirates to bring under his control when... Denon was Liberated.

Life rarely makes sense. It doesn't consider hopes, dreams, or machinations as it unravels, but when it starts coming undone it always does so spectacularly. In the span of a month, Crix Dolan went from being a rising star among the nefarious in the Five Syndicates to on the run and changing his name from system to system. He'd made a grave error on his meteoric climb, and the consequences of his actions cost him everything. His ship was stolen, his best friend/business partner was killed, and Hardlight was teetering on the brink of bankruptcy.

Crix had nothing left but his name and following the events on Zeltros, he decided to let that go as well. Now he was an old Smuggler called Crow.

Birth of an Underdog...

Tumultuous times create opportunity for those brave enough to take it.
— Adumari Proverb

Leon Baudelaire was born on Adumar and later joined the Jedi during The Force Eternal Era. Baudelaire spent his first twenty years on his home planet, and from the time he was fifteen was an active member of a resistance group called The Owls. The resistance group was led by Leon’s adopted father, Fearless. Along with being the leader of The Owls, Fearless, was also a renowned blastsword duelist and spent years honing the young man into a fine warrior.

At the age of nineteen Leon was accepted into the Adumari Duelist League against his adopted father’s wishes. Baudelaire, or Little Dagger to his devoted fans, quickly rose through the ranks and was just beginning to hit his stride within the dueling community when he was accused of cheating. According to Adumari culture, the honorbound must prove their convictions in the dueling circle. Fearless forbade Leon from taking part. Explaining that as a resistance member, Leon’s budding fame, could devastate the cause, but Leon couldn’t stand down from the slight to his honor.

The duel was bloody. Both fighters came close to their deaths and it would have ended one of them had Fearless not stepped in and stopped the fight. Unfortunately, the heavily speculated duel was being broadcast and Fearless’ true identity was revealed. Fearless, or Zuri Isskai, was exposed as a once-thought-dead dueling grandmaster known for treasonous actions against the crown. Within what seemed like minutes the authorities were swarming the circle. Chaos ensued and after a near-death escape, Zuri and Leon parted ways. Zuri Isskai went into hiding and hasn’t been heard from. Leon was taken in by the Jedi under the watchful eye of Jedi Council member, Kaisa Vanola.

Kye Da’quzel, the newly minted proprietor of The Wellspring, couldn’t have asked for a better day. It wasn’t often things went right on the Smuggler’s Moon, and he wasn’t interested in alerting the deity of luck to his prosperous tidings. The casino was finally finished. Even now as he gazed down from the VIP deck, he couldn’t keep a smile from his face.

The slots were packed. The smell of burning spice filled the room with a dizzying fog of smoke nestling in the newly added skylight. The purr of an indigo Twi’lek wearing nearly nothing took his attention from the roof. Dila slid up behind him and wrapped her hands around his waste.

You did it, mi amour,” she whispered so only he could hear. Meanwhile, her right hand playfully tugged at his belt.

Kye’s voice leaped an octave as he giggled like a schoolgirl.

Stop that!” he tried, but there was no conviction in his voice. Dila kissed his neck and—- CRASH!

The skylight above imploded showering the showfloor in traspirsteel. Kye was blown backward, on top of Dila, screaming like an R2 unit on fire.

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!

Gut-wrenching pain spasmed through his body and kept wafting over him in waves. He was disoriented, but his mind was starting to come back online. His hearing was coming back. At first, it was just a high-pitched whine, but now he was starting to be able to pick up voices. They may have sounded like they were on the other side of a soundproof wall, but it was a start. His vision was next and he wished he’d been blinded by the att… THE ATTACK!

His body tensed to move but he couldn’t. As soon as he moved to sit up a sharp wrenching pain emanating from his nethers— “DILA!

Kye reached down and carefully pried her vicelike grip from his fruits and immediately felt waves of relief and panic smash into him. Once freed he sprung off Dila, who yelped in pain, and sprinted for the railing. All around his beautiful casino was in ruins. The grandeur he’d been wallowing in was gone. Duracrete blocks and dust covered everything. Tears welled up in his bulbous crimson eyes. A luxury speeder was sticking straight up in the center of the showfloor. Kye began to blubber.

Suddenly, the passenger door flew open. Kye squawked outrage like a pissed-off bird, as the figure stumbled out of the vehicle-- It looked like some karking Rodain-- too drunk to fly straight. This was absolutely unacceptable! This bastard would pay for ruining the best day of his life! The Neimodian scrabbled for the nearest lift calling any and all thugs he passed to his side on the way. To Kye's surprise, the elevator music was still playing. Silver linings glint brightest in the dimmest light he supposed. The lift slowed and the doors opened sluggishly catching about two-thirds of the way open.

Kye flew into a full-blown tantrum. He raged against the door punching, slapping, and kicking the thing until it shakily slid the rest of the way open. He straightened his tunic and coughed before saying, “Oof, almost lost my cool there.

A human enforcer with a thin jagged scar across his left eye nodded behind Kye. The Niemoidian whipped around just in time to catch the end of a fight. The left hook of an armor-clad humanoid snapped the head of his opponent to the side and sent him, or her, Kye could never tell with Rodain’s, sprawling.

Hey, asshole!

The humanoid lifted a gun and fired a net over the Rodian. Sparks shuddered from his left hand. He shifted his attention to Kye and his crew. The being rolled his shoulders and started heading their way. Kye lifted his hand, and the four goons behind him lifted their weapons. The humanoid stopped. From this distance the wear on his gear was evident. His mechanical left hand was opening and closing sporadically, his jacket was torn and blaster scored, and the tactical pads he wore were obviously warned down. This guy was either on his last leg or had a death wish. Now that he knew the humanoid wasn’t a real threat, his machismo came back in force.

That’s what I thought,” barked Kye with shrill laughter. He loved having the cards stacked in his favor. “Do you have any idea how karked you are?

The roughneck pressed a button on the side of his helmet and the visor receded exposing dark skin and hard eyes.

"I’m going to place a transponder on the ground, then slide it your way,” said the man. Before Kye could argue the transponder was sliding across the ground. A glossy black little device stopped neatly between Kye’s feet.

You are now in control of Mr. Devooo’s estate,” said the man. He gestured to the wreckage, "There should be enough to cover," It seemed as though he was taking in the gravity of the scene before concluding, "Uh, all this."

He turned to head back to, well Kye supposed, to Mr.Devooo. The blaster on his back was a mean-looking weapon. Kye could tell it was well maintained and the slightest bit of doubt began to erode his confidence.

Who do you think you are?” screamed Kye in a weak attempt to remain in control.

The man stopped in front of the Rodain, who’s voice was quivering with fear, kneeled down, and slung it's body over his shoulder in a single smooth motion.

I-I’m talking to YOU!” Kye protested, but even to his ears, he sounded like a petulant child.

Over his free shoulder, the man called back, “Aeron Mathis, Bounty Hunter.

- BAAN ORDO || MANDALORIAN

Baan Ordo was a near-human Mandalorian during The Force Eternal Era. Born on Panatha, also known as Epicanthix, in the year 120 ABY. His parents were both Mandalorian and Epicanthix blood members of the Ordo clan and loyal to Mand'alor. As such, they raised Baan to be the perfect blend of the two cultures. Unfortunately, Baan had his own opinions on how his life should unfold. Fed up with the constant pressure to be something he wasn't sure he wanted, he ran.

At sixteen he stole the besk'ad of his grandfather and fled. For a time he wore the armor, at his young age it was the only thing that kept him alive, but as his skills began to sharpen he shed the iron skin. It knew it wasn't his and it didn't feel right wearing something he hadn't earned. He put away his grandfather's Besk'ad and Vowed not to don the armor until he deserved it. Drifting alone in the galaxy, Baan took on the alias, Spade, and set out to find his purpose.

Serenno's prodigal son fled the confines of his family's name at a young age. Leaving the comforts of lower royalty behind he willingly embraced the seedy playgrounds of The Smuggler's Moon. With what funds he was able to con out of his parents, Jacen became a local prodigy on the swoop track. Every chit he received went into his swoop and soon enough his abilities caught the attention of The Five Syndicates. With his family firmly cutting ties as his betrayal came to light, the swoop star decided to throw his lot in with his new friends.

Over a hand full of years, Jacen was able to prove himself as a pilot completing a handful of successful smuggling operations while also competing in swoop races across the sector. His racing career began to take a backseat to any smuggling opportunity that came his way. The thrill of a Smuggler's Run quickly overtook the now mundane adrenalin dump of a swoop race and the young man from Serenno found himself enamored with the high flying life of a Smuggler.

Since the age of eighteen, he's been running jobs with the syndicate and with the credits made Jacen is finally in the position to start running his own smuggling operations. Now, he just needs to vet the veritable plethora of miscreants looking to make a name for themselves within The Five Syndicates.
P E R S O N A L I T Y + A P P E R A N C E
6J3aCBf.jpg
Jacen Cordro was born the youngest son of Jocko Cordro the Duke of a small portion of land miles from Serenno's capital. Even with the dukedom's meager power in the grand scope of universal politics, or planetary for that matter, Jocko managed to maintain a hubris akin to the Count of Serenno. This self-importance bled onto his elder sons leading them into a fierce rivalry. Jace and Jack grew to hate one another, only staying their feud to take out accessory stresses upon Jacen. His toxic relationship with his father and brothers drove him into his mother's arms, and she loved them for it.

Rhea Cordro was born into poverty and clawed her way out of the mire and into the position of Duchess; however, her experience did not bring mercy to her rule. Rhea held an uncommon disdain for the disenfranchised and her hatred only sharpened the bumptious personalities of her sons. The Duchess held an uncommon ability to victimize her self at the drop of a chit. Turning any argument against her into a personal attack. She is a master of manipulation and her cunning knows no bounds. The only chink in her armor is her favoritism for her youngest son.

Despite the rampant toxicity of his upbringing, Jacen remained mostly affable. His nieve perception of life was based around justifying his family's actions. Key phrases like, "My brothers are just toughening me up...", "Father expects more from me...", "Mother just wants me to know my worth..." filled the void in his darkest moments. As he grew up his affability was traded for angst, and his naivety was replaced by the mind of a jaded cynic.

Few lessons in life can be learned without failure. When he was fifteen Jacen fell in love with a young woman from the capital. As new love often is, their connection was blaster bolt hot and the two quickly fell head over heels for one another. Jacen was able to keep their relationship a secret from his family for two months, but eventually, prying eyes gave way to lips loosened by the glint of coin. Word got back to his brothers who delighted in alerting his parents. Through a series of increasingly dramatic events, Jacen lost the first love of his life to the selfishness of his mother, the hubris of his father, and the cruelty of his brothers. Sobered by their betrayal Jacen swallowed his pain and learned from his mistake.

Jacen's life became clear. He wasn't apart of a family. He was trapped in his own personal hell and he'd never be free until he was free of them, and with their own actions, they made the first step that much easier. One year later, he was landing on Nar Shadda and entering his first swoop race. His personality forever changed, the affable young man replaced by a driven man with nothing to lose.

pwtOjOz.jpg
Jacen Cordro carries an air of importance that can only belong to a former royal. His appearance exemplifies this aura by being exactly what one would expect. By human standards, he is classically handsome. He was blessed with a square jaw, high cheekbones, cerulean eyes, and wavy brown locks that he keeps perfectly unkempt. However, to assume he's all looks would be a grave mistake. His time on Nar Shadda has hardened any softness he held from his youth. His affiliation with the Five Syndicates has given him a ruggedness that lies just beneath his attractive features.

The Scoundrel's body is lean and well-muscled. He's no commando or Jedi knight, but he considers himself a professional and trains daily to maintain some form of physical acuity. Pragmatism lies at the heart of his choices the majority of his workout routine is based on calisthenics and Corellian boxing. He sports a pair of shoulder boulders and a six-pack, both of which he isn't afraid to show off.

Cordro has always been stylish. His years as his mother's favorite led to plenty of time discussing the finer points of fashion and other topics his brothers deemed unworthy of their time. However, early on he realized the importance of fashion in the upper echelons of society and made sure to pay attention when his mother spoke. Jacen can frequently be found in pragmatic outerwear accented by bold patterns and loud colors underneath. The Scoundrel is acutely aware of his looks and the perception they establish and Jacen leans into it. He plays the part of an ignorant swoop racer when gauging situations and wears his charismatic smile like an opulent veneer. Of course, he didn't escape without his family's arrogance. His decision to wear bright clothing is a warning, not an invitation. Nature's most poisonous creatures warn those of their existence, Jacen relates to that. He's not saying "C'mere" he's saying, "I'm warning you."

History

Adumar is a temperate planet located in Wild Space. Adumar’s climate is hospitable to most. The landscape is diverse containing everything from vast tropical rainforests to barren deserts and in some locations, entire cities have been constructed within massive cave systems. In ancient times the planet was settled by a group of separatists that were exiled from the Galactic Republic but have since returned to the Galaxy at large. The planet’s current government is a democratic monarchy. The planet is ruled by a singular monarch with a veritable array of expanding lower nobles and culminating with the lower class.

From a technological standpoint, Adumar has flourished since it’s return to the galaxy at large. While the initial reintegration was challenging, Adumar proved to be just as capable as any core world and was operating at a highly efficient level in a short amount of time.

Currently, Adumar is under the control of the Sith Empire. Much of their culture has been watered down, and their monarchy has been turned into a figurehead, but for the most part, the general populace of the planet is largely unaffected.

Government and Culture

Adumar's Government is technically a Democratic Monarchy. The planet has a Queen, and the queen along with the parliament decided the fate of the world, however with the Sith Empire's acquisition of the planet any "power" displayed by the crown is a mere facade. The true ruling power on this planet is Empress Anaris. This control can be seen in the presence of imperial troopers and outposts along strategic points across the planet.

Culturally, the empire has begun cracking down on honorific traditions. Duels to the death have been outlawed and only blunted competitive blastwords are permitted in public. Any caught carrying are detained and transported to an Imperial re-education center. The Adumari pilot's academy is now an Imperial institute and any pilots who graduate must serve at least four years in the military.

The quality of life on Adumar is entirely subjective to the locale. In places like the planet's capital, Cartann City, the only change one may encounter is slightly stricter security, but in the rural areas of Adumar things are much worse. Long-standing homesteads have been requisitioned by the Empire displacing farmers and creating a growing mass of refugees as these people flee to the cities in hopes of finding work.

Geography

A temperate climate and diverse biomes curate a beautiful spectrum of environments on Adumar. The planet is primarily covered in fertile forests. Before the imperial occupation, these forests were meticulously cared for, now they're being torn down to create commercial farms. Mining is another large aspect of Adumari commerce. The mines situated in the expansive cave systems that span the planet have begun paying a tax to the empire in the form of raw material. These cave systems are large enough to house entire cities. As a matter of fact, Cartann City is actually two cities in one. To the locals, the upper layer of the city is called Topside and the lower side is called Downbelow.

Intent

Adumar is a legends planet, this write-up is just meant to bring it into the site's Canon.
