• The Blackbird is a modified HWK-290 Light Frighter currently owned by a Smuggler named Crow. The ship has been substantially modified elevating it from a simple light freighter to near gunship status. It may be a little slower than other HWKs, but what it lacks in speed it more than makes up for with its agility and firepower. Overall, The Blackbird is well-equipped to deal with whatever a job has to throw at her.
  
  The ship's interior is streamlined. The front of the ship acts as the living quarters for the crew. Just behind the barracks is the cockpit. The captain and co-pilot seats are vaulted to leave room to pass through the cockpit to the lounge. Calling the recreational space in a HWK-290 is generous. The lounge on The Blackbird features a cozy corner booth with a round table that doubles as a Dejarik board. Across from the table is a modest wet bar and range and along the wall, Crow's added a couple of cabinets for foodstuff storage. Past the lounge leads into the cargo bay/ engine room. Even with the tight space, Crow has managed to hide multiple smuggling compartments throughout the ship, including one in the crew quarters that opens up into a hidden Captain's quarters.
  
  Crow's experience as a smuggler has taught him a handful of tricks over the years and the wiley smuggler has applied this knowledge to his ship's modifications. In an effort to improve upon the ship's strengths The Smuggler outfitted the ship with military-grade maneuvering jets, now the ship and turn on a credit chit. Using his starship engineering experience, he upgraded his targeting system and integrated an astromech socket for his BD unit. Next, he managed to "acquire" a concussion missile launcher with a two-rocket magazine. Finally, Crow upgraded his medium dual turret to a heavy one because, why not? After all, if you can't outrun an enemy fighter, you better be able to blow it out of the sky.
