The Padawan watched as his shields continued to be depleted. Shot after shot. All he could do was sigh. He couldn't shake him. It was an older X-wing and didn't have the maneuverability of the Interceptor. All that besides, he wasn't near the caliber of pilot as the one chasing him. It was only a matter of time before his engines or thrusters or something...Isen didn't know his way around the ship to know if which was which or if they were the same thing. Either way, he the flashing lights in the cockpit and the fact that he smoking heavily out the back and losing speed was enough to tell the story- his bird was going down. Luckily for him, he was coming in on a relatively flat pitch, so Isen used the lava wall provided by Izel to circle back on his way down to get closer to Izel's location. He bailed, hitting the ejector seat and using the thrusters on that seat to float safely to the ground. As he came down, he watched as the X-wing hit the lava and crevice-ridden ground, finally getting sideways and barrel-rolling before something caused a fire and then nice explosion.

Well, Isen hated flying anyway. He felt more comfortable with the lightsabers than the joystick of a starfighter. He addressed Izel on his comms. "Sorry, Master. I'm going to need a hitch a ride back. I'm headed your way."

Max wasn't exactly pleased with having a member of the Sith Council focusing on him but it sure beat the hell out of her paying attention to the rest of the Jedi. Instead he just grinned as he advanced on her with his sabers at the ready - he was doing his best to semester himself in happier thoughts than one would usually expect from anyone within a hundred feet of the Eternal.

Helped that he knew something about that that no one else here did - not that he was going to be dumb enough to start shouting it out right now of course.

Then the stabbing pain of someone trying to read his mind and Max focused on it, shutting parts of his mind down from her view. Still, he saw what she saw and he narrowed his eyes slightly before she half-withdrew and was half thrown out by his own mental shields snapping into place. So... she was the one who has killed her. He hadn't been sure about it until just this moment but it was staring him in the face now.

"Caring isn't a weakness, kid."

Thankfully for him, Max was a Jedi Master. He cared about Nash, he really did, missed her, on average, at least once a day. But he did not dwell on the negatives, he dwelled on the fact that she had been a part of his life, not that she had left it. Finishing the attempt to cross the distance, Max avoided the Force Flash thing from the other Sith because his one eye was focused entirely on Vyrassu, his body turned to face her down.

He swung the blade in his right hand down at her left shoulder in a diagonal cut, using the tip of the blade rather than getting close enough to use the middle length of it. Probing her defenses and keeping her in his focus so he could respond to however she wanted to play it.

Izel's heart skipped a beat as she watched Isen's (@Isen ) fighter go up in flames, her concentration breaking and the lava falling back to the earth below, thankfully not in the vicinity of her or any of her allies. She watched, motionless and horrified as the old X-Wing struggled to keep in the air while leaving a trail of black smoke. For a moment she feared the worst, only to have a wave of relief wash over her as the young Kiffar ejected from the fighter and began floating safely down as the machine went crashing into the surface in a brilliant display. But he wasn't entirely safe yet, being vulnerable to the enemy as he made his descent.

Focused as she was on her apprentice Izel didn't even bother responding to Kori's (@Catbert ) words. Instead she immediately ran in the opposite direction of the fight between her allies and the Sith. She took only a moment to slide into cover for herself before summoning the Force once more, lifting a series of large rocks into the air and having them rotate in a defensive line around her Padawan as he floated back down, ensuring no stray fire from the fortress (@Eccles ) or that damned interceptor (@Darasuum ) would be able to harm him. The moment he was safe on the ground Izel would rush to his side.

"Oh thank the Force you're alright!" Izel said with a relieved huff as she made it to his position. She put a hand on each of his shoulders, and just stopped herself from hugging him as she remembered they were in the middle of a battlefield. She tried, poorly, to play it off as she was just winded and was leaning on him for support. She also remembered that her friends were in desperate need of help, what with the Dark Lord of the Sith bearing down on them. After looking over her apprentice briefly for any sign of injury she spoke to him more calmly. "If you're still in good enough condition to fight I need you to come with me. Masters Grayza and Tionson (@Mr. Teatime and @Nefieslab ) need us." She looked over her shoulder towards the other Jedi before looking back to Isen. "I know the lightsaber is your strength but you need to be careful. These are very powerful Sith we're dealing with. We'll provide support from range and only move in when they are preoccupied. And you are not to engage the Eternal itself under any circumstances do you hear me? I forbid it." There was no room for misinterpretation or negotiation in the Vratix's voice. These were orders set in stone.

She would wait for a response, watching her apprentice closely for any sign that he might have different ideas in his head. Then she would start making her way back to the others, using the Force to carry another boulder for cover, large enough that it could protect both master and apprentice if they moved side by side.

It hadn't been too much of a surprise when the Jedi pulled out a second saber; you'd expected the parry and some sort of secondary attack. You're still paying attention; as soon as you spot the hand coming up and pointing the saber, whilst seething with rage, you jump up vertically in the air; it's not force enhanced (though still quick) so you're only about two feet above the ground at your peak.

Your right hand is still locked in the parry; as you're halfway through your leap, you bend your knees and pull your legs up slightly so the blade will hit right below the knees. It ignites halfway through that point and meets just about two inches below the joints. It was not evident that you had cybernetic legs; No doubt the Jedi expected you to fall on the ground in a disabled heap, screaming in agony from the wound and furious at the failed dodge. He'd be off his guard, unaware of the lack of pain and speed that would soon follow. There would be absolutely no reason to change direction of the strike; besides, he's traveling quickly and any other motion change would be difficult to maneuver.

Meanwhile, your unhindered left hand reaches out to the force and freezes the Jedi's left hand in motion for as long as possible before he breaks the attack; all you need is half a second anyways. You have seconds to act; if this fails, you're out of the fight. As his right lightsaber begins to slice through your legs and you hit the peak of your leap, your right hand twists under his frozen blade in its natural desired direction. As you were blocked at the midsection, you swing up, ideally beginning the cut with the lower third of the blade at his midsection on the side of his body and continuing to his lower shoulder.

In the end, as you begin to fall, your cybernetic legs below the knees would be gone, his right hand lightsaber on your left; with the speed of your strike, and the critical location of your target, there would be no feasible way to create another attack were he to take the hit. Regardless, there were not many ways to get out of this; to jump sideways either way would be suicide, and the initial moment of the right hand attack would prevent from any backwards movement. Forwards--well, that'd also be suicide; by the time the Jedi's right hand attack finished cutting, your attack would meet flesh and the fight would be over. There were even downsides of having two lightsabers; an immediate force defense would be incredible difficult to create with both hands occupied and the Jedi's mind already on victory. But Jedi were insane--who knew what would happen.

The Eternal's power grew as it drained the life free of the dying Sith. It could feel its hunger growing, a near-empty hole in the Force as it consumed the traitor. Its reserves felt filled once again as it continued to close on the skirmish raging out front.

It could sense the Jedi beyond, searching for a way back to their trapped comrades. They would need to be dealt with, but in due time.

The Eternal's hand shot up and the Force wrapped around Hannibal. He would feel his movements slowed, fighting to overcome the strain of the Force as he fought. Each movement would be like resisting a rubber band, pulling and straining for even the simplest movements.

Of course he could fight it, and perhaps with a few moments even break free, but in that time he would be vulnerable. Vulnerable to the Rodian and to the wounded Sith, even vulnerable to another attack from the Eternal itself.

Preef's mind was so focused. He'd never experienced it before. It was like he'd just consumed copious amounts of glitterstim, giving him a reflex boost ordinary sentients wouldn't or shouldn't be able to process. He felt.. evolved while in proximity of the Dark Lord of the Sith and once he had time for retrospect he'd most likely be disgusted by it... but not now. Now he watched how his first shot was parried and how the jedi (@Mr. Teatime) began to step right to swing with the saber in his right hand horizontally from his left to his right. No doubt meant to finish off the Sith that was attacking him..

The rodian didn't even have to think about it. As if he was tapped into the mind of the Eternal, Preef extended his right arm, stopped his advance for just a second and this time even took aim before pulling the trigger. Due to the Eternal's stasis attack the Jedi's movements would be stopped or at least slowed long enough for the bolt to travel to the Jedi's right side and hit its mark right underneath the armpit. The pain of a heavy blaster bolt striking against the ribs would without a doubt halt any foolish attempts for the Jedi to postpone the inevitable.

Furthermore, while Preef would immediately continue his advance after pulling the trigger, he counted on the "Force" to make all present Jedi feel the pain and imminent danger that Hannibal was under. Whoever had an emphatic connection with him would surely lose their will to fight. That's how the "Force" worked, wasn't it?

"Tell me, Jedi. When you close your eyes, do you see her?" the Darth asked, a deranged smile curling on her lips.

Vyrassu began stepping back, out of the Jedi's first swing of his lightsaber. Since he'd only probed her defenses with end of his blade, she choose to evade despite her saber being at the ready. She'd keep moving back in an attempt to make herself a harder target for follow ups, to draw him further and further away from the approaching light of his friends.

She wouldn't just dodge back though, she'd raise her free hand and pour her power into a burst of flames. The flames crashed forward towards the Jedi's center mass (@Nefieslab) , the sickly taint of the Dark Side radiating from it's every lick. The Darth wanted to take advantage of the Jedi's choice to duel wield lightsabers. He had no free hands at the moment, dampening his ability to call upon the Force to defend himself. She'd be surprised if he could provide a perfect defense against her onslaught, and the flames ignored the sabers plasma. Battle was never so simple though, so she'd wait and see.

"Do you see her rotting corpse? Her milky, lifeless eyes?" she added.

Crix wasn't exactly new to the 'facing Sith in tight spaces' game but the last time hadn't been anything fun. He remembered the Ranger HQ and he remembered using the e-web turret to turn a Sith into red pasta and mist and he remembered how it all felt. Hell, he wished he could forget it all but he couldn't and it had been building up since then, he knew it.

The way his right hand trembled sometimes without him being able to truly stop it... would getting involved her mean it got worse? Would the nightmares get worse too? For his mom, though, Crix was more than willing to find out.

Well Crix wasn't about to just let Talak do all the fighting himself - he didn't have the good manners to wait either. As soon as Ana began her second question he fired at her legs with his blaster pistol set on stun. He remembered hearing from his mom and other Rangers that stun bolts couldn't be deflected but they could be blocked and nullified.

But Talak was moving in to attack her as well so maybe having her need to actively either block or dodge to prevent letting his legs go to sleep (which must suck in a sword fight) would be the result? He didn't know - the only sword fights he'd ever seen had been on the holos. All he cared about was staying back until they cleared the way out of the cell's door.

There was also the fact that the woman wasn't wearing a rebreather - and every second that ticked by the carbon dioxide levels on the detention level would be ticking up. Nothing deadly, of course, but enough to start with dizziness, nausea and headaches. Hopefully something that would help in a Force-y fight but not hurt his mom.

Max liked to think that even before knowing Hannibal and his methods he wouldn't have fallen for the words she was spewing forth at him, the poison she was trying to pour into his soul through his ears. She was trying to weaken his resolve in the Light, the source of his power as a Jedi, and force him to draw using his emotions. In an environment so saturated with violence and the Dark Side it would probably work to hamper his ability to fight her.

But regardless of whether or not he would have been able to see through her tricks without knowing about Dun Moch from Hannibal... he had made peace with Nash's death long before this fight. Said something about the Sith that they didn't seem to think that anyone could, or should, be able to love someone and move on when they passed.

He followed her as she backed up, the Force answering his call as the Dark Side answered her own. Creating fire from nothing was a powerful technique but he was not defenseless - and she was not mindful of her surroundings. As she lashed out with her free hand to unleash her flames, Max thrust his arm forward - the Force didn't need finger-flicking to work when all he wanted to do was something simple, especially when he was still able to use his entire arm and closed fist to assist the action.

A strong Force Push to drive through her flames, using the kinetic energy advantage that it had over the flames to tunnel through the middle of the attack, taking some flames with it but forcing others to flare outward from it sideways away from either of them. It would slam into her chest violently, taking her off of her feet if she was not protected.

He would advance, wanting to push her back even further.

"I see her smile and hear her laugh. Surrender... please."

The trick with loving someone and being able to move on was to remember that love never asked for forever. And Max was happy he had been able to love her at all, no matter how long it lasted.

"What the kriff do I do?!" The Zeltron was still at a fair distance from the fight, but things were already turning south. Hannibal had just been shot at by the Rodian gunslinger (the first shot that he deflected, although with some difficulty), another Sith was charging at him, and the Eternal was still approaching; its dark intent engulfing not just Hannibal, but everyone else. Kori's friends would be dead before the Jedi Master could close the distance. Something had to be done.

Of all the people, Hannibal was in the tightest spot: attacked by a Sith, shot at by the gunslinger; even the Eternal's attention was shifting towards him. Kori's left hand shot up—still holding the saber, index and little finger extended—sending a wave of Force energy towards the attacking Sith (@Nobody). At that distance, the Force push wouldn't be too powerful. But with the Sith jumping into the air, using the Force to keep Hannibal's hand in place—all the while trying to swing at him with the lightsaber after his cybernetic legs had been cut off—it might be just enough to prevent his attack. Even better if he was sent flying towards the left relative to Hannibal and caught the Rodian's second shot, but that'd be too good to be true.

Meanwhile, Kori kept walking towards the stream of lava ahead of her, while her right hand reached for the stun pistol in the holster. For the moment, she only had a couple of targets to choose from, but the sudden burst of flames almost drew Kori's hand in that direction, and she pulled the trigger on instinct. The shot would be fired at the woman who engaged Max (@Dread). She didn't care if she'd hit or miss—at that distance, there were equal chances of both—but at least it would give the Sith something else to worry about.

@Mr. Teatime, @Nefieslab
@DarkSaber, @Dread, @Eccles, @Phoenix

As Eccles pointed out, it'd be fair to give others a chance and the time to join the fight. That's why no attacks in this post can land an autohit (in case we decide to wait for people).

Tycho sighed, back against the rock he was hiding behind was acting as the only thing between him, and an early grave. At the very least the sound of blaster fire hitting the rock was almost soothing, reminding him of simpler times before the Sith had decided to try and upend the galaxy and back when he had a sniper who could actually land shots and take out the enemy. Nevertheless he unslung his rifle once more as the repeater fire continued, and continued, until it eventually stopped. Wondering if the repeater had finally overheated or someone had finally taken out the damn Rodian he peeked out of cover slightly.

His eyes scanned the battlefield once again, taking in the sights. The Rodian was now attacking a pair of Jedi out in the middle of the field, who were being attacked by what he assumed were actual Sith in the flesh. He had gotten separated from the group he had decided to work with. He now regretted bringing only one holocamera. Between the Eternal, the fight in the middle of the field and the general chaos of the battlefield he would have plenty of footage that he needed to convince the public. As if to accentuate his point the sound of a interceptor firing mercilessly echoed from above. He looked up to see a X-Wing taking hit after hit before the shields failed and one of them took out something vital. He could feel his own chest tighten up as memories came flooding back from his years in service. He shook his head and dismissed them, he needed to focus on the present, besides, it appeared the pilot had managed to eject.

Focusing his attention back on the battlefield the former officer brought the rifle he held back up to his shoulder and aimed down the sight. If he could keep the damn Rodian off of the Jedi likely keeping this from becoming a massacre that would be the best he could do. He considered the thermal detonator but dismissed the thought, he had seen boulders get thrown around, lava, adding the explosive device to the mix would only exacerbate the situation. Taking a deep breath he took the shot, hopefully the Rodian (@Preef Callo ) would get eliminated. If not, he could keep this up and keep the Rodian occupied.

Rossana was stunned, literally in shock. She was just standing there, hand over her mouth in proper disgusted and shocked position. Her senses had come back to her by now, and she knew what she had to do. Reaching her gloved hand down she grabbed her silver hilted lightsaber in her right hand, with a face of determination the Senator stopped crouching behind the rock, called on the force to guide her and rushed out from behind the rock. Her red hair flapping side to side from her pony tail as she ran, like a flame being hurled through the night, the unmistakeable Senator began the long spring towards the enemy. A moment after she started running, she ignited her saber and the brilliant purple blade splashed to life.

The red headed politician would only make it about halfway to the two Jedi Masters, but she figured that she could arrive to help them soon. And by the looks of it, they needed all the help they could get, the Sith were putting up a hard fight, the Eternal was on its way-however the Rodian... Like the one you slaughtered Well the Rodian was distracted for the time being by Nykoria’s rock wall. Finally, as she felt her chest tighten due to the strain of her running, with her lightsaber held ready to defend against blaster bolts, Rossana glanced around her, on edge as she slowed down, eager to aid the Jedi Masters as quickly as possible. All she was hoping that the instructor her father had hired to teach her had taught her enough. She also knew she may be able to get the upper hand by using the force to fling her hidden red bladed lightsaber at one of the Sith-hah give it back to them like a repurposed gift! However, for now she merely awaited her next opportunity, to save the Jedi- I mean they had already lost their X Wing Pilot, they didn’t have much left in terms of support from their own kind, so it was Rossana’s duty, as Senator of the Republic, to protect the protectors of the Republic.

"Oh thank the Force you're alright!" Master Thral said. She was darting her bug eyes all over his body as if looking for scrapes and boo-boos. Isen tried to hide a smirk at her motherly instincts of him. Truth is, since he left his biological mother at such a young age, Izel was the closest thing he had to a nurturing mother if he were to honest. "If you're still in good enough condition to fight I need you to come with me. Masters Grayza and Tionson need us."

Ahh, those were golden words to Isen's young Kiffar ears. He never wanted to be in that X-wing anyway. He would never tell anyone, but he was actually quite happy that he was shot down. He survived the ordeal, but his element was on the ground, looking whatever was trying to harm in the eye. What the Interceptor pilot (@Darasuum ) took for fear was really annoyance at the whole situation. Negative emotion to feed off of, but Isen, for whatever reason, never really struggled with fear over physical harm for himself. Izel knew that as well, but her knowledge came with a warning. "I know the lightsaber is your strength but you need to be careful. These are very powerful Sith we're dealing with. We'll provide support from range and only move in when they are preoccupied. And you are not to engage the Eternal itself under any circumstances do you hear me? I forbid it."

Isen nodded. "Yes, Master. Of course." Of course....but, of course "any circumstances" wasn't truly "any circumstances" was it? Isen took it as a strongly worded cautionary tale and read it as, "only in the worst case scenario" type of thing. The young Padawan could think of a few circumstances where it would be the most common sense thing to do to engage The Eternal. Certainly, they would be the most dire of circumstances, but the circumstances existed as possibilities nonetheless.

That said, he tucked in behind the boulder alongside his Master as they made their way back to the front lines and Master Tallis's (@Catbert ) location. Isen knew he wasn't supposed to be excited about the prospects of hand to hand combat, particularly against Sith where lives could well be lost, but yet, there it was- an almost giddiness in his belly about what may be waiting him on the other side of that boulder.

"I heard her too. Her screams of pain as my lightning seared across her skin," the Darth continued, paying no mind to the Jedi's resistance to the ancient technique so far.

She sensed his gathering of force, bracing herself before being sent back. The Darth was forced back a far distance but managed to slid back to a stop. Soaking in the pain, she looked up at the Jedi with the same twisted smile as she started the fight with.

The Darth didn't advance on him, simply staying in place with her saber up. She'd stay until he got closer, then move again to continue to draw him away, unless he forced her to abandon her plan. Blaster fire from (@Catbert ) a very far distance rang by her. It missed as she was not only a distant target but a moving one. She'd never stopped drawing the Jedi further away from his friends.

"I saw the fear in her eyes as my blade cut through her fragile throat," she continued.

Izel could sense Isen's (@Isen ) excitement at the thought of facing the Sith. She couldn't help but find that eagerness the least bit infectious. Her Padawan knew well enough how strong her convictions were against the Sith, but his interest lied in pure battle itself. He enjoyed it. Perhaps more than he should. Of course none of that mattered right now. She could address both his flaws and her own another time. For now their fellow Jedi needed them.

The Master and Padawan had a greater distance to cover than their allies, and Izel clicked with frustration as she watched the battle unfolding in the distance. Things did not appear to be going their way. Masters Grayza and Tionson (@Mr. Teatime and @Nefieslab ) appeared to be in trouble, Hannibal in particular, as he had drawn the attention of the Eternal. And Izel could tell Kori and the Senator (@Catbert and @LeonDrandell ) wouldn't get there fast enough to be of much help. The one advantage they had in the moment was that the gunners seemed to have their focus elsewhere. Izel took a look at the boulder she was carrying beside them, forcing them both to move at a snail's pace to remain fully protected, then looked at her apprentice.

"Oh hell with this." She growled, and dropped the boulder, igniting her pike. "Run!" With that she would break into a mad dash towards the duel across the way, using her pike to deflect any blaster fire that might happen to come her way. She was sure her apprentice, what with his twin sabers, would have little difficulty doing the same.

But even with dropping the extra load she still wouldn't be able to make it to the others just yet, but she could do something to try and help. Reaching out with her free hand the Vratix called upon the Force. She had no illusions to her abilities. Her command of the Force was strong, perhaps even stronger than some masters, but she knew she couldn't hope to overcome the power of the woman (@Dread ) engaged with Max. She reeked of dark power, noticeable even in the presence of the Eternal. But she didn't need to overcome her power. Circumnavigating it would be enough. Pulling up the sand and soot all around them it began to move in tight circles around the dark councilor, rushing in to try and invade her eyes, nose and mouth. Obviously not some deadly attack, but with the woman preoccupied with her duel and the unorthodox nature of the attack it might just serve as a sufficient enough distraction for Max to score a blow.

The Sith jumped? Hannibal hadn't entirely expected that, but he had expected not to expect something so it didn't count. It didn't stop his cut from burning through his legs, which turned out to be cybernetic. Good to note, but it wasn't something that'd disrupt his him. He'd learned on Coruscant to keep cutting until a Sith stopping moving and he already intended to follow through.

@Nobody reached out in the Force to grab his left hand at the last minute to check the Jedi Master's guard, but the Jedi didn't need an empty hand to counter such influence on his direct person. The telekinetic grip came in and met quick resistance, lasting long enough for the Marauder to disengage his saber from the lock without reprisal. Then Hannibal slipped from it and dropped his saber down- the tip potentially burning through hilt, fingers, or wrist on its way- while stepping his left foot back to buy time with distance.

The Sith's crimson edge once again met Hannibal's silver close to his left hip, locked out at an angle just as his draw cut through the cybernetic legs went through. He'd anticipated another shot from the gunner, his follow through a repurposing of the cut's momentum, flicking and twisting wrist and elbow to bring up his green blade to deflect. Unfortunately the Eternal's attention had shifted from the traitorous woman and over to Hannibal instead. Again he focused to resist the durasteel bands of Force closing around him, but the Dark Lord was no Marauder. He felt himself slow, momentum disrupted. Hannibal dragged his guard up in an act of sheer defiance before the hold stuck, but it was only a partial success.

The blaster shot from @Preef Callo was technically deflected, but the slow effect threw off the intended angle. Instead of being knocked away from him the bolt barely contacted edge of the emerald blade and downward at an angle, clipping across his mid-rib and terminating in the ashen ground behind him. Calling it a graze would be generous, as the heavy bolt burned through skin and muscle, scorching bone on its way past. It was better than a direct shot to the side, but it was still a hindering injury that'd complicate using that arm properly.

"Hnng! Qīngwā cāo de liúmáng-" he hissed into his helmet and across comms through gritted teeth, keeping focused to begin peeling off the Eternal's malicious grip from his person and pulling his right arm down and inwards against his side to approximate a close guard in Preef's direction. It'd take a few moments to get done, though it was that or sit there and get shot to pieces. He didn't feel up to pushing his luck with knocking shots out of the air while he couldn't move properly and an existing injury. At least Kori's push was targeted and wouldn't effect him, hopefully knocking the Marauder somewhere away from him so he could recover while he was stuck in place.

You’re fast, but not fast enough; the man blocks your stasis relatively quickly and slices downward to sever your hand. Nevertheless, he doesn’t understand the position of your saber; by twisting under the lock, you could’ve easily blocked the strike (your blade is below his, after all, not your hand) and continued with your attack. Sadly…

Instead of both falling to the ground, one from a mortal wound and the other from a lack of appendages, you fly backwards before you can even land a scratch, and his attack misses. Someone has given you a most rude shove (@Nykoria Tallis), one you were not prepared for in the least. Time continues in slow motion as your unanchored body flies back ten meters…

But you were enough of a distraction. A bolt hits the Jedi (@Hannibal Grayza) moments after you are sent flying away; no doubt a wounded man would have no hope against the Eternal himself. Pain would fill the Jedi, fighting against the light side and pushing him towards the dark. A malicious grin spreads on your face as you are flung backwards, saber de-igniting and both hands coming down to brace your fall.

You land on your rear, bumping to a stop with arms behind you in about a second. You take the time to quickly survey your surroundings and note another Jedi closing in (@Izel Thral) ; to hell with this. You don’t want her attacking you in this vulnerable position, nor assisting the Jedi in his attack on the Sith Lord (@Darth Vyrassu), so you reach out through the force and shove a narrow yet powerful push in her direction.

Her focus seemed to be on Vyrassu, so she would have little success with trying to block the quick and fast attack. You’re not too far thanks to that bit of a painful fall backwards, so she wouldn’t have much time to react either. Ideally, she would be sent reeling backwards a good distance, any intended attacks through the force or otherwise disrupted.

With your other hand, you pull out your blaster and bring it up in the Jedi’s (@Izel Thral ) direction, turning after the force shove to aim for a split second. You pull the trigger twice in rapid succession, aiming for the Jedi's torso, which would remain in the line of fire regardless of whether she blocked the shove or not.

Confirmation of probe droids being sent and other air traffic came through. Wiley acknowledged and reported the birds-eye-view he had over the battlefield below. The indicator for the padawan's X-wing remained on his readout for longer than Wiley expected. This caused the pilot to bank in time and see the trail of an ejection seat on a course towards where the ground forces were. "Like roaches...." he muttered and brought all of his weapon systems forward. Whomever was the pilot of the X-wing must like to keep holding Wiley's attention. Maybe the Dark Side was trying to tell him something. Or maybe the padawan and Jedi were trying to actually fight as a group for once.

Slowing down significantly, power was routed to the light and heavy paired laser cannon turret and switched the groundsweeper to its repeater setting. Generally people thought twice about fighting with blasters and blades when plumes of explosions that could cut them in half erupted around them. "This isn't some Nar Shaddaa diner, padawanabe." He said and let the flight of the starfighter draw across the Veratix and her partner. If a bug was out in the middle of the floor, it got the boot. (@Isen @Reyn )

The words were beginning to get to him.

There was only so much he could do to try and ignore the way they wormed their way in. He might know she was using the same trash talking techniques as Hannibal but it didn't matter that he knew what they were. They were still, by their very nature, more effective than the Jedi would have liked.

He had managed to counter her flames without taking damage himself but damn it, her words were beginning to dig away at him. Narrowing his eye slightly in sign of annoyance, he made sure keep to slightly to the side of her so as to make sure he could still keep the downed Sith and The Eternal in his line of sight.

Also meant he avoided a blaster bolt from an ally hitting him in the back by mistake. And it meant he wasn't following her closer to her Master and the base itself.

"Stop... just stop this now. Release Trys Aran and let this be the end of it!"

He wanted it to be the end of it.

He could feel through the Force that Hans was hit and it took every inch of his self control to stop himself from rushing to his friend's side. That plus keeping his cool? He was beginning to feel the dread that he knew something had to give.

That he would need to do something he had sworn to never do - that he would need to kill someone.

With her backing up the way she had came and with him keeping his eye and his distance on her slightly, Max drew on the Force as she moved to Pull using his left hand to make the gesture. Not Pulling on her but, instead, a handful of the Lava behind her, aimed at her lower legs from behind. The Sith who had betrayed her had sent a wave of the stuff from behind her before but Max didn't want that much - just a handful of the stuff coming at her from behind. She had backed up closer and closer to the river of lava that had been used against her before by this point.

Even if she didn't get hit by it, she would find it harder to keep backing up over lava.

"You're not running away... are you?"
He demanded of her with a grin that was more forced than he would have liked but was still enough to use her own tricks against her, "All that power you have and you're retreating."

Ana did not get the chance to ask her second question, but she was amused nonetheless. The stun bolts were fired just prior to Talak’s rush forward, allowing her a very brief moment of focus on the sudden attack. It wasn’t like she would entirely dismiss the boy; he was still here, which meant that he was still a threat regardless. She wasn’t going to try and figure out how he got inside; they were past that point. It was now a two-on-one fight deep in Sith territory. Just needed to hold out long enough.

Crix’s blaster going up was enough of a warning for her heightened reflexes. Ana threw her hand out and sent a surge the Force towards him. It wasn’t anything particularly aimed, just a raw wave of invisible energy meant to slam him against the wall and disrupt his aim. She was fortunate that he had decided to aim at her legs – two decidedly small targets – which allowed her to just step forward towards Talak. At the same time, she swung counter to his strike.

He was stronger than she was, of that there was no doubt. It was fortunate that this world was so rich in the Dark Side, for it lent her strength. She didn’t maintain contact against his blade for long; just enough to deflect the saber strike aside to open up for an attack of her own. Rather than press it, though, she retreated a few steps, enough to put her back in front of the cell she was guarding. "As if the Jedi are much better?" she spat back out in response to Talak. She tried to remain aware of Crix, but with the narrow confines of the halls, it would be difficult splitting her attention between her two foes.

Ana swung her blade in a backhanded slash to ward off Talak from pressing the attack immediately. She thrust her free hand out towards Crix and blindly yanked against him with the Force in an attempt to drive him alongside Talak.

"You left us and the galaxy has only suffered!"
