I think thats gonna kill imperials and rebels alike. I mean, maybe that's just my misinterpretation, but I don't see concussive missiles designed to wreck capital ships being able to do millimeter style accurate precision to hit only rebs and no imps, especially when there's a bunch of imperials walking along the forest edge to finish off stragglers/a bunch of em standing in a huge semi-circle around a huge cluster of rebs.

Then again, I know **** all about these weapons. So for all I know they could be accurate enough to hit the cap off a bottle and leave the rest of the glass unscaved. Either way, if your a rebel run like there's no goddamn tommarow.

Though these threads are no death, BDZ needs staff approval. The purpose of a BDZ is the complete annihilation of all assets and anything else they can burn away. That is why there is very few BDZs ever done this timeline because of such.

You figured out the thing.

Here's the thing though, most of the rebels already ran away. Cause Live dropped a goddamn napalm shower to enact some scorched earth tactics. Rebels left were the ones surronded by imperial forces. So that's gonna be some mighty startling action going on when out of nowhere bombs drop in the middle of the damn surronded circle.

We went from scorched earth to this in a matter of minutes.

EDIT:

Hang on, I need to make it clear what I think happened.

There we go. Now then, let's continue the thread. Or start the swampy forest one. Or continue the thread about going into the swampy forest.

Either way, every rebel alive count how lucky you just were to survive. I know I will.

Nothing that drastic happened. The fire was a way more spread out than that. While napalm didn't make the battlefield more hospitable this was more harassing fire to get those remaining pushed back even further. As you said some casualties may be incurred from Imps side too. So craters, yeah, but not one giant Utapau like one.

Well let's move that hole a little bit more into the Grassy Plains with a lot more Imperial casualties. The downside of a bombardment like that is there's bound to be some friendly-fire.

I like my version better. More...dramatic. That certain...oomph factor. If this weren't a no death thread though I'd have probably be contemplating a lot of stuff right about now.

Less :26: and a heck of a lot more

But that's not the case, so yeah. When it gets decided wether this thread will be used for the continued engagement, now taking a rambo-fist blood style turn to how it plays out, or not, I look forward to posting Jahairals reaction to witnessing his first orbital bombardment and living to tell the tale.

That rebel cruiser is your big chance to actually do something with that bombardment.

Yeah I'd agree either way it punches things up. There should be AA positions that can take out any incoming missiles or in the city there should definitely be shields to absorb the fire. This is not a big deal.

Kyle points at all of those times in the EU where starfighters and AA-cannons shot down assault missiles.

Just a thought.

Ummm, I hate to break this to you. But there are no AA guns at the Grassy Plains. This was a full hit, nothings gonna mitigate that new cratery landscape remodeling.

Okay, this clearly needs a third party to look at it. So I guess I picked a good time to log on.

There's a couple of arguments that have been made either way for this. I've read over them both here and on skype. Honestly? This could go either way, so it's a bit of a tough call, that said, there's a few details that do need to be kept in mind.

Firstly, while it may not have necessarily been Kiro's intent, the description of a Base Delta Zero over targeted orbital strike has a ton of implications, since, yeah, they're too very, VERY different things. But, for the benefit of the doubt here, let's assume it was supposed to be the latter, just poorly worded so it came across as the former. No big deal there.

For me, this goes back to the points of these threads. Look back at the original sticky:

This is the most important point: because the outcome is already known and the threads are no-death, this isn't about winning or competition. This is about working together to create an amazing story. Like with Coruscant, the potential to create an epic story together is incredible. Make it as fun as possible for you and everyone, not just yourself!

On this point, orbitally bombarding the whole battle (which encompasses several threads mind you), is quite clearly not fun for everyone, and is, to be frank, a dick move. Now, Kiro might have had the best of intentions here to mix things up and create interesting scenery and throw the ground forces a curveball here, but it doesn't read that way, and it's obviously not being recieved well.

So yeah, on the most important point we have to emphasize in these threads - creating a fun environment for all the participants - the post fails, especially considering by all accounts there seems to be very little indication of actually talking through the idea and pitching it to everyone - rather, it just appears to have blindsided everyone. There's also the problem of posting in multiple battles with the one PC simultaneously - while, sure, being in orbit, feasibly Kiro's admiral could fire on all the battlefields, but it also opens a can of worms and just makes everything messy. So in all honesty, I just don't want to cross that line either.

It's due to these reasons above I'll have to rule Kiro's posts as void.

I believe there was a frigate, but it's sadly been voided.

Other than the rebel light cruiser that is a big Mobile AA battery.
