It's all right Liv, i was kind of hoping someone else would do that in our area. So whats the plan do we know? are the Imperials pressing forward? Or do we just press enough to secure a LZ for more troopers to build the ranks?

Glad to hear it.

And I think my pitch for what happens now is as follows;

1 - The battle continues in the Plains, as the rebels try to hold out against the overwhelming Imperial forces, by "circling the wagons".

2 - The escaping rebels are pursued by some of the Imps (Platoon or less is my take, preferably a squad or two), into the swamps. Possibly into the swamp thread?

Well I tried to push thins so we're not moving too far into the forest/swamp/whatever, and trying to help the encricled forces breakout, so things don't move so drastically we need to break into another thread that's going to have a lot of different members in it as well.

So this encirclement group has its back to the forest, I take it? Or is the forest clear of imperial forces?

If you're talking about the Imps, then yeah, part of them does, though of course they also know that some rebels got through, so they're not all with their backs turned.

Oh, and Starburns, I hear ya. I'm just thinking that it would be interesting to have some of us head into the swamp thread in pursuit a la Rambo. At the same time of course, we need to keep things going on the plains, or at least wrap them up when the rebs are destroyed.

It doesn't have it's "back" to it per se, but I assume it's a bit weaker than other sections of the line, having just snapped shut. Of course it's going to strengthen and probably push in with Liv's next post, at least I hope!

Of course. Nonetheless, it's good to have someone represent said chain-of-command. I'll have Jaron do some on-the-ground commanding and maneuver some of the operations. I might even make an excuse and say that whoever was in charge of the ground ops got wasted. :9:

Sure. Just remember that there's a very astute officer above you with access to hundreds of turbolasers :P

Also, poke me on Skype if you have questions about Stormtrooper Legions and their equipment. That applies to Rebels as well!

Haha, yeah, I wouldn't have Jaron waste him or anything. XD More like, the reason things are so chaotic is because the commanding officer of ground ops got wasted when his ATAT was blown up by rebs - or something to that effect.

But yeah, will do!

Edit: Oh, and yeah, Starburns, I'll make sure that they tighten and strengthen their grip with the next post. Make things interesting. :D

Alright good to see we have a plan. I didn't want to take to much control of the battle per se since this is my first large event within the site, i was going to be a part of another one a while back but I couldn't due to work restraints.

Another note: Silverface I get so hyped everytime I watch that GIF of the Stormtroopers in your sig. I have watched it like 50 times now.

I think, actually, what I would like to do is this; I'd like to sort out the battle on the Plains first and foremost, and then divide the Imp (and rebel PC forces/survivors) forces - we can send a majority towards Theed as reinforcements (and those PC's who want to go there can join one of the Theed threads), and the rest who like me want to press on to the swamps can take up pursuit of escaping rebels and kind of work our way into the Swamp thread, where we could be surprised by overwhelming rebel numbers. What do you guys think?

Sorry for the double-post, guys. Just wanted everybody to know that, reflecting the above, I edited my radio message and the post a little. It now goes like this;

"Sunray-Actual, this is Wild Goose Ten. Sitrep follows; We have half the enemy forces encircled by way of pincer maneuver. A tentative perimeter around the LZ has been established by trenches and armored vehicles. We are in the process of re-securing the outer landing zones from rebel control. However, I cannot make contact with Captain Heath who is tasked with leading ground ops. In addition, we are taking heavy casualties from opposing air forces. We need air support to establish air superiority ASAP. Over."

Well, I've just realised this thread exists. It'd be cool if Teran could have a nice meaty fight with a rebel or Jedi, prove himself as a Sith and stuff. I'm not trying too take too much control of this battle since it's my first real fight on this site. Whoever wants to interact with Teran is fine to.

Jahairal took shots at him a couple posts ago. That could be an initiation for a fight.

I hope nobody thought I was unfair with the latest Imp offensive. If so, let me know and I will absolutely edit it.

Hardly. The rebels still control the woods and sky. They could mount a counter attack.

I wasn't planning on that, at least not yet. There's still the besieged rebels, and also possible survivors at the forest edge. Not to mention their forces in the air. XD

Btw, Minuteman, just for the record, the bombers were bombing said forest edge, not the encircled rebels. XD

So, the way I'm thinking it is that the Imps should keep pushing the besieged rebels, and then give them the option of surrendering. And then take up pursuit of those in the forest edge that has survived. What do you guys think?
