[Ru the Boatswain]

"...You may not know Coruscant too well...When I said friends I should have said, 'low life scum who make this galaxy stink with every lie that spews from their dirty maws known as a mouth.' That, is a friend on Coruscant." He laughed slightly as he spoke. "Yup... Coruscant. I don't care where I'm sent, as long as it's not day time for more than thirty six hours."

 

[Ols]

"Why could you not deal with that much daytime?" she asked with a grin, "surely you could sustain yourself through the Force, without actually sleeping?"

 

[Ru the Boatswain]

"No its just too bright. It bothers me."

 

[Ols]

"Then learn to ignore it," said Corina, still smiling, "I'm sure you'll get over it when bigger things are at stake. So, I must ask you, what do you hope to accomplish when you are a Jedi Knight?"

 

[Ru the Boatswain]

"...Umm...I don't know," He shrugged.

 

[Ols]

"Well what sorts of things do you see yourself doing?" she asked, encouraging, "passing on your knowledge, fighting to protect, investigating, studying the Force, studying combat, advising politics, bodyguarding? Many avenues are open to a Jedi"

 

[Ru the Boatswain]

"I'll see where where the force takes me. I'd like to be active though. I'll find out what I want sooner or later."

 

[Ols]

"Fine," she said, a little disgruntled, "be mysterious. But you still have to answer the question. You must have some kind of target or goal other than letting the Force lead you to Coruscant?"

 

[Ru the Boatswain]

"Not really Corina, does it matter all that much?" He grinned widely and jokingly remarked,"So are you hinting at anything Corina?"

 

[Ols]

"It does matter," she said, unimpressed by his clumsy attempt. It did matter. It was something all padawans were asked, and expected to say why they wanted to achieve whatever it was they wanted to. Corina remembered her own discussion with Master Tesu, those years before.

 

[Ru the Boatswain]

((Bad ols bad mind...not THAT hinting....))

"Then I'll find out soon enough."

 

[Ols]

((If she'd have been positive, you'd have been all over her XD))

"If you were given the choice," she asked, "what yould you do?"

 

[Ru the Boatswain]

((Actually ,no I wouldn't. I tend to shy from too much of that))

"I would like to deal with the Alsakan conflicts happening on Coruscant...That is a major issue."

 

[Ols]

"You would like to deal with it?" she asked, "how exactly, as one Jedi, do you plan to resolve a war?"

 

[Ru the Boatswain]

"Through agressive negotiation or actual negotiation. Coruscant is the center of the republic. And it appears to be cut off from the rest of the galaxy...This is an issue that should be solved by the jedi."

 

[Ols]

"By you personally?" she asked, a tone of incredulous disbelief in her voice. There were aspirations and hopes, and then there were delusions of grandeur. She continued, trying not to sound too harsh, "you think that the council would send an unproven Jedi to resolve the biggest conflict in the galaxy? I would expect Grandmaster kappa to go himself, accompanied by the leading members of the council. This isn't a trade disbute on a backwater planet. This is, as you say, the Center of the Republic, the Capital even. Do you really think you, one Jedi can right it?"

 

[Ru the Boatswain]

"No, I'd rather do that with a jedi master, but I do believe that I could help. I'm sane." He ended with a chuckle.

 

[Ols]

"So are many others," she said, "but what if the problems on Coruscant are resolved tonight; what would you aspire to then?"

 

[Ru the Boatswain]

"If the crisis was resolved tonight then I don't know what I would do. I'm sure many issues would arise and some disappear. It is hard to deal in 'what ifs'.

 

[Ols]

"But once Coruscant is resolved, what would you do? You cannot say that your personal goal is to bring an end to the biggest conflict in our lifetimes," she said, "it's unreasonable and unlikely. I'm asking you what you want to achieve as a Jedi, realistically."
