[Ru the Boatswain]

"I'm trying to tell you that I don't know. I also don't want to know. It's nice to plan ahead but when the future is unclear, too bad."

 

[Ols]

"You have no aspirations other than to save the galaxy?" she asked, an eyebrow raised. If he had no clue what he wanted to do, she may as well continue teaching him, for otherwise he would vegitate as a Knight with no goals.

 

[Ru the Boatswain]

"I think 'saving' isn't the right word. One cannot save the galaxy, because It's full extent is not even known. Actually, I might like to go explore a bit of the unknown regions, might be an opportunity." He thought about the unknown regions. Attractive to the young and foolhardy, it held opportunity.

 

[Ols]

"Exploration," she said, "and adventure. A Jedi should not crave this. If Master kappa asked you to go and become a hermit on a desert planet, then you should say yes. If you are unsure, you shouls ask why. When he gives you the great reasoning of keeping a watchful eye over one who may be chosen to join the Jedi, you say yes and you go. But would you say that if asked to sit in a desert and watch a baby?"

 

[Ru the Boatswain]

"I would know when he asks me. If I was asked now, I'd probably say yes." He shrugged,"But then again I could say no. Would I have a choice as well?"

 

[Ols]

"What if I was asking you on behalf of the council, now? What would your answer be?" she asked, seriously.

 

[Ru the Boatswain]

"Yes. where do I go-how much time do I have to be there?" He answered in a string of words.

 

[Ols]

"Well done," she said, "I am glad you have responded such. In truth I have no such mission, but it seemed to be the only way I could get a serious answer from you," she smiled, "and it is my great pleasure to welcome you fully into the order, Colm Lorian, Jedi Knight of the Republic."

 

[Ru the Boatswain]

Colm wassuprised and excited. He'd just been granted the rank of knight..."Thank you Corina." Was all he could say.
