Yeah, saw it my third time yesterday and two things of note. I am convinced again that: Kylo knows Rey from some time before; Rey is Luke's daughter; Leia knows who Rey is when they finally meet in the end. Snoke is still a mystery (although there are hints, like the music), which is kinda neat. Also, could Maz be a Yoda species? Probably not, but *headsplode*

Second thing of note is that once the whole Han deal starts, that movie owns my heart and tearducts. All three times I've viewed it I almost cry about 5 times (both joy and sorrow) from that point of the movie to the end. Craziness and awesomeness!

I'm done spending the money on seeing it in the theatres - cannot wait for the BR to come out (deleted scenes?).

You may want to go back through to get an answer. I'm pretty sure you're not.

I don't think Maz is the same species as Yoda. For one thing she has no ears, for another she's supposed to be thousands of years old (which means that she could have seen Bane's fall at the hands at the Jedi and definitely saw the Sith before him due to the way she phrased things in that scene with Rey) and she was way more spry than our 900 year old "little green friend."

Forgive me if im late to the game on this piece of info lol

this is concerning Kylo's Lightsaber. I am genuinely shocked that the mini blades are not crossguards but exhaust...with that in mind...It actually makes sense LOL

Plus the crystal is cracked and the wires are exposed. This weapon was LITERALLY a stroke of pure luck

Oh that too...but yeah that was a shocker that In Universe, the Crossguard gimmick was an aftermath deal, a sort of side effect that was used to compensate for a damaged Kyber Crystal (Yes folks, this is the official Cannon name for the crystals that power Lightsabers lol) Therefore, I can imagine, given Kylos rage and passion and so on, that as he was synthesising this crystal he accidentally broke it in a fit of frustration...I have to say if that was the theoretic case, I am genuine like Kylo as both a villain and a character more :D

I think the scariest part of Kylo Ren is his humanity

No argument there, Unlike the previous sith who were, and I paraphrase an article, "Calm, calculating, and cruel" Kylo is supposed to be what the Sith embody, "Anger, hatred, rage, and above all passion." So pretty much to see Kylo act on his impulses, act on his passion, his hatred anger and rage makes his character believeable and above all scary as Malachor lol

I meant that he isn't some decrepid old sorcerer playing chess with empires or a cyborg killing machine fueled by grief. He is a nomral young man. That is terrifying.

I like that he is a "normal young man", but also quite a bit obsessed/psycho. I mean, he does the deed on his father to go full bore, and doesn't hesitate trying on his sister/cousin/whomeverReyiswhohesavedwhentheywerekids. So he's normal-ish, but that passion/temper overwhelms him in a somewhat chaotic way. He is definitely one of the better SW villains in nucannon.

Still though... #PoeFTW

Yes PoeFTW. I'd have to say that Poe Kylo and Finn (in some capacity) were well done Characters. As for Rey. Yes in some cases there is some questionable choices for her charatcer (IE being OP in terms of Force Sensitivity) but It is both a Breath of Fresh air AND fanservice that we finally have a decent Female Lead in Star Wars. Granted she's had a rocky start but hopefully she'll get her chance to develop and ultimately shine in Ep 8

back to Ren I have to say my favorite times is when he TRYS to be cool and calm but something just throws him for a loop and he goes nanners. I loved the parts that he is rather conflicted and trying his hardest to stay in the darkness but instead there is still that part of him that is saying "This is wrong, return to the light" that is a very rare thing (from my experience) to see in Fantasy (in fact all of Fiction) let alone Star Wars: a Villian with a conflicted conscience. That and without his temper we would never wouldve had this:

I swear I saw that all I could hear was that song that ended with "F*** This Shit im out!" and I loled hard in the theaters...well quietly at least trying not to attract attention...>>...<<

Haha yeah, funny scenes. "Anything else?"

After seeing the movie a few times, and studying/reading up on things, I don't think Rey is OP. She sure shows that at first viewing, and most people complain about that or the ties to Ep4. But if she is who we think she is (a Skywalker/Solo/somethingspecial), and the Saber unlocked possibly prior training, and she was in a situation where she was not only saving her own skin but trying to get back to her new friends and figure out wtf was going on in her new life... then things like saber combat, mind trick, and battle meditation start to sound more reasonable. I don't think she's OP - I think we don't know the half of her past. I think her explained mystery will answer all these questions and more, even moreso than the Snoke shroud.

I'm with Kenico on this one. If Rey just had Force powers I would be fine. But pile on scavenging, mechanics, multilingualism, bo staff skills, piloting, lightsaber talent, and Force talent? It's not just OP to me, but I think it actually brings down her character. Now all her amazing feats and insight can be chalked up to "Force!" Not talent or skill.

What does that acronym mean? I see it everywhere but I have no idea what it means.
