I'm with Stomrthroe. Imprrial Guard regiments have uniforms that suit their needs. I'd imagine that Hesperan Guardsmen would more likely have carabiners, rope, and cleated boots for dealing with mountain warfare than gas masks. So I vote design 4, personally.
