Lois Flynn (Training)

Flynn got off the transport and smiled. Corescant. The tall buildings the varied species. She was so excited she could barely keep her thoughts straight. As she walked to the end of the platform she encountered a figure in jedi robes. "Master-?"

 

[GABA]

Rehni watched the transport land, she easily sense her padawan on board. She did a quick analysis of the girl as she exited the ship, just to see how she composed herself. The Knight nodded her head in response, "Ims Knight Tak'n, and I mosting assume you ising Lois, goods. Coming we have a lots to doing." she said.

 

[Griff's_Sister]

Flynn raised an eyebrow at the unusual accent, she would have to ask her master where she came from, then nodded and followed. "Thank you, Master."

 

[GABA]

"What making you decide to be a Jedi Knight?" asked Rehni wanting to know her student's ambition.

 

[Griff's_Sister]

'I don't know." Flynn shrugged. "I didn't really have a choice. After I my parents died i was taken to an orphanage and had my midichlorian count tested. When they found out it was high the shipped me off to Ossus. I when you agreed to train me further they shipped me off here. By the way, thank you. Another year and they would have shipped me off to colonies."

 

[GABA]

"Welcome you are." she told her, "You hading a choice; you ising a old enough girl to taking care ofing yourself." explained the Knight, "Why ising you notting leave the orphanage, or going to the colonies? Perhaps-ing you will knowing later." She lead Lois to the training room, "Come, sit, thinking about why you having come."

(( my characters backstory is she's been in the temple for like 3 years. so she was 14 when she arrived and she's only 17 now.))

"Yes master." Flynn nodded. "But isn't it kinda obvious why I'd want to be a jedi? I mean I won the dna lottery. Not everyone gets to learn the things we do or learn the things we do, or help the people we do. I guess if I had to give a reason why I'm still with the temple is because its the only place I can become the best I can be."

 

[GABA]

"Well, padawan, that ising notting always the cases, some individuals thinking ofing the Force corrupted, curse, notting wanting to doing anything with the Jedi." explained Rehni, "Your going to be needing a most better response than that. For now Lois, how much you knowing about your Force senses?" the Knight moved on with the topic.

 

[Griff's_Sister]

Lois tossed a credit chip into the air and used the force to spin it mid air. "I can do that." She smiled. "I can do it with larger things too. But they kept my training to mostly the basics."

She looked at the credit chip and smiled, then her face suddenly fell. "Wait, there are those who corrupt the force? They never taught us that at the academy. I thought the force could only be used for good. Are their bad force users out there?" A look of worry darkened her face.

 

[GABA]

Rehni watched the credit chip spin, "Yes, Ima sure you having heard ofing the 'darkside' ofing the Force. Wasing big topic when I wasing ofing a padawan."

(( I always pictured the temple as not wanting to expose their padawans to such things for fear of 'damaging their fragile minds' so that's the angle I'm coming from))

"Well yeah," Lois waved the comment away. "in history, put they would never talk about them in a present sense. Sure their were rumors and stuff, but that was about it. They said we'd be told everything once we became actual padawans and not just learners."

 

[GABA]

Rehni frowned, she could understand the concern for padawans now, "Well, sometimes Jedi drifting off the path, anger and passions begining to fuel their desires, and they going down a path leading them to the darkside of Force. It eventually destroying of themselves. Dangerous, the Bogan ising the dark jedi. They crave power and doing anything to taking as their own." Rehni explained to her padawan.

"The key purposes ising notting fear the darkside. Fearing nothing padawan. The darkside feeds off fears."

 

[Griff's_Sister]

"Ok," Lois smiled. Not much had scared her for a long time. "So where would you like me to start? Healing? Enhanced speed? Jumping? Levitation?"

 

[GABA]

"How fasting can you run?" she asked taking out a blindfold and handing it to Lois, "Blindfold? From heres to the outsiding foyer durings lunch time?" she asked knowing her padawan will accept the challenge.

 

[Griff's_Sister]

"Of course master." Lois donned the blind fold and turned around and began to walk away. Suddenly she turned to face her master. "Uh, which way is the foyer? I've never been here before."

 

[GABA]

"Tricks ising you have to following me." she told her padawan, "Ready?" she asked.

 

[Griff's_Sister]

Lois nodded and closed her eyes and opened herself to the force. While she was already blindfolded, she found that closing her eyes helped the process. Suddenly a blue outline of her master appeared in front of her. Then the area around her master slowly materialized. Soon she could see better than with her eyes open, for she could even feel things approaching from behind and to the side of her. "I am ready master. Lead away."

 

[GABA]

Rehni started ahead of her padawan not going too far ahead making sure her student could sense her Master. The halls were quite crowded, even more crowded than what even Rehni had imagined from being here years before. She wanted to see if Lois could picked her Master out of a crowd.

 

[Griff's_Sister]

Lois focus on her master. Feeling the Knights deepest prescence in the force. She focused in on it and nothing else. She then tagged it by placing it so firmly in her own mind that she would never have trouble finding it again. That done she spread out her senses, feeling everything around her. The other padawans, the visiting politicians, the knights and masters, even the occasional droid. Her master was already 30 meters ahead, but Lois smiled as she ran to catch up. Ducking under outstretched hands and leaping over clusters too big to get around. She soon caught up to her master, only slightly out of breath from the effort. That done she matched her masters pace with minor difficulty, remaining a mere meter behind her master.

The Knight pushed her padawan more, this time hiding within the Force as she maze through the crowds and halls of the Jedi Temple. She shrunk her presence in the Force and waited until her padawan was back in eye shot once more.
