Ask New Alderaan Fuel for the Fire

Of course, Emilia hadn't walked around New Alderaan in her Snow Fox armor. Too much attention, likely attention her new contact wouldn't want either. Instead today she'd chosen to wear slightly different garb. A mix of casual and elegant, with a scarf covering her lower face.

She wasn't paying for the room they were meeting up in. In fact, Emilia wasn't certain who owned this building or the room, or if it was rented. It didn't matter much to her. This was a big opportunity for her and the rebellion.

Weapons, armor, and more were offered. Now, Emilia wasn't sure exactly what type of weapons, armor or other items they were, but she'd take what she could get. Her plans were still in their infancy, and she could not afford to be picky. She wouldn't be anything less than grateful for whatever she got.

Entering the room, it seemed large. A big table sat in the middle with many chairs around, though there was only one other person in the room. Emilia gave him a slight bow.

After rearing this Snow Fox's boardcast and her rebellion just completely overthrowing the Sith occupation on Dantoonie, Nicolas was interested and so was the government of New Alderaan. Just completely overthrowing them, he thought. Is history repeating itself, could this once again be the spark that will light the flame that will burn down the Sith and their tyranny? Nicolas would see what he can do to help Snow Fox. New Alderaan does not forget it's roots, founded by the Rebel Alliance over one-hundred years ago.

Nicolas rented out the conference room to themselves for the day, a nice, discrete place where can have a conversation with Snow Fox. Nicolas would standing close to the tables waiting for her as she came in. "Welcome. Welcome to New Alderaan" he would smile and nod back at her. He'd make sure the door is shut before they get to talks. He'd take a seat the table "Snow Fox?" He asked to confirm, no way it isn't her though.

Once they all get situated, they can get to why they are here. Nicolas is eager to help this fledging rebellion. People are crying out for freedom under the thumb of the Sith. The galaxy is meant to be free, not under the forceful hand of an tyrant.

"Thank you, senator Clément," Emilia answered in her usual stoic tone, still bowing for the moment. "It is an honor to be in your presence, and I am very grateful that you're willing to see me."

And she was, truly, grateful for it, even if she knew of the planets history with the old Rebel Alliance. She simply did not expect support, because the planet was not within the grasp of the Empire yet. Still, she was certain the senator was well aware that the Empire might make its way to his planet. Perhaps that was why he offered support. Not that her speculation mattered in the least. What mattered now was that she was here, in the senators presence.

He'd be able to see her uncovered purple eyes. But, despite how lucky she felt to be here, her eyes not only matched the colour of the new Rebel Alliance insignia, but they matched her stoic voice. At times she did get a passionate inflection in her tone of course, which he'd likely heard in her broadcast, but she simply tried to remain calm.

"Correct," she answered afterwards, straightening up from her bow and continuing, "I am Snow Fox." The name still felt odd rolling off her tongue, somewhat, though she was beginning to feel a connection to it.

Emilia walked up to the table, placing her hands on top of the back of one chair. She didn't sit yet, however. It was part of her culture to allow the more important person to sit first, if they wished. "Whatever you offer, I want you to know that I and the rebellion will see that it gets full use." Nothing would go to waste. Nothing. Emilia had plans that spanned far into the future. With caveats, of course, but plans nonetheless.

"Thank you. You can call me Nicolas if you want" he nodded back at her. So she is Snow Fox, those purple eyes match the new Rebel symbol. He believed her without hesitation. "I'm sure you will" Nicolas would get behind one of the seats as well and pull out a datapad. "I'll be honest. I was amazed when I heard that broadcast. The fight against the Sith was getting hopeless and more hopeless, they were gaining so much power so quickly. But you came along and showed the galaxy, including the Sith what happens to tyrants. It's very good to know that even the oppressed can still fight back. Not only fight back, but win." he nodded his head in approval in his own words.

Nicolas would then pause and pull out a datapad from his jacket pocket and then push some buttons. With that, he would then slide it across the table for Snow Fox to pick up. "Here you go, here you will find a list of surplus from our New Alderaan Defense Force that your Rebels can have, authorized by my government. This includes personal equipment and blasters. And some ships, if you have trained pilots and people who know to crew a ship."

Admittedly lot of the stuff is outdated stuff from the planetary's defense force that has been phased out by more contemporary ships, but those Stalwarts are modern powerful craft, and the rest can still do some damage. Nicolas would give her time to read through. "What do you think, would this be enough to help your advance your cause?" he would ask with neutral tone if she would accept. He isn't sure on how big the Rebel group is either, so he worries about giving them too little or too much.

The small sephi, Jedi, paused for a moment while the senator praised her. She felt her heart beat a little faster. It wasn't what she was expecting, and, part of her knew that she would likely die far before the Empire was taken out. All she wanted to be, truly, was the match that lit the fire. If luck was on her side, maybe those licks of flames would rage on until the galaxy was free from the Empire's tyranny.

"I am... flattered by your praise," Emilia answered. She did her best not to let her purple gaze wander, as hard as it was for her to accept the praise. "The good men and women that surround me makes what I do possible, senator...ah, Nicolas," she admitted.

The small sephi raised her chin slightly, thinking about Tiberius, and all the other brave rebels. All of whom let go of what they feared to lose, and rose up against the Empire. All brave men and women, but, she had to be realistic about the situation and the behemoth she and the rebels faced. Success was not guaranteed, though she knew the rebels would fight tooth and nail to try.

"The days ahead will challenge the rebels, there is no doubt in my mind about that no matter how successful we've been so far, or sure we are about our cause. The Empire and its leaders are powerful, and I know some in the galaxy still sees what I've—we've—set out to do as mere fantasy. But, I do believe we must allow ourselves those private moments of hope and valiancy, so that we can face reality armed with our reveries."

Emilia listened to the senator talk after, accepting the datapad he offered. When she thumbed the power button to turn the screen on, she began reading. As she read, her eyes widened more. New Alderaan offered so much, much more than she expected. Her eyes didn't leave the datapad at first, but she did speak, "This will help advance our cause, its more than I could have hoped for."

She raised her chin, leveling her eyes with the senators for a moment. "Thank you," Emilia said with a nod, then bowing slightly again. "If there is anything I can do to repay you, please let me know."

Nicolas smiled when the Snow Fox reacted positively towards the donation and his praise of her rebellion. Eariler, she did acknowledge there would be challenges and people still don't believe in the rebellion against the might of the empire. "There will always be people who either are content with the status quo or are drinking the empire's fruit drink. But people said the same about the Rebels and the Resistance one-hundred ago. Many empires have rose up in the galaxy, like Palpatine's. They all meet the same end." he said.

In response to if there is anything that she can do to replay, Nicolas was tempted to be nice and say no they are good with leaving no strings attached. But Nicolas was reminded of what happened at Kashyyyk. The fleet was caught unprepared and they couldn't do much aside from struggle as the forest world got rained with destruction from above. There is no way the wookies could defend. The same must not happen to New Alderaan. "Well... there is one thing..." he said. "New Alderaan, and some other FWA worlds actively standing up to the need some protection from death from above. Shield generators, ground based ones that will protect our people from orbital bombardment. We can't let what happened at Kashyyyk happen again." he said with a stern expression. "Is that something you'd be willing to help us?" If he had to be frank, if Snow Fox is able to help him out with this, he should be the one thanking her and not the other way around. The military hardware will help them fight the Empire, but the shield generators will save countless lives.
