The thugs approached the group of people including Ben. Two could be seen from close, and a few moments later a group of four appeared behind them, with various weapons in their hands.

"Well well well, who do we got here?" The man who said this looked like the leader of their group of misfits. He was holding two blaster pistols, and had a vibroblade sheathed on a belt strapped around his hips.

"Well let you off with a quick death, alright?" As he said this he held up his hand in a fist. The four men behind him pulled back the triggers of their blaster pistols and let out four shots heading their way.

The outside of the diner had been surrounded by a few trees in planters, and a couple of benches around the area.

Ben looked over at the shots zooming at them, and he paced behind a bench for cover, yanking his DL-22 pistol out of his belt.

Stepping out the door, he noticed the men walking towards the crowd and eyed them with his red eye, as they grew closer his hands slowly slipped into his robes. After hearing the woman's rushed and slightly worried voice he said "there is no need to run, anyone of us could stop them if needed"

She eyed the man who offered the smoke with suspicion and quickly moved further away from the door, wanting to distance herself from this gentleman. Opening her mouth, ready to tell the fellow where he could stick his death sticks, she was startled by the other man tearing out of the doorway.

"What the hell is this?" she asked, losing her patience with the dark-haired man. "I don't need kath hounds following me around! You want to fight? Good for you! Go join the Republic and take up arms," she told him, shooing him away in the process. "I'll have no part of it."

Turning her back on him, clenching her fists, daring him to follow her again, she smacked Aric's arm. "C'mon," she called impatiently, "before their craziness rubs off."

Iidesia knew full well that the gangs were about to make their rounds on the upper city tonight. She'd rather be far away than standing in the middle of the street. It was then that she caught a glimpse of the two thugs heading their way. Catching the glint of the metal and seeing the colors of her rivals, she knew the time to flee was now.

"We gotta go!"
Typically, Aric Bogan was not the kind of man to run from a fight, but ever since he had landed on Coruscant there had groups of thugs after groups of thugs, all trying to kill either him or somebody else he was with. It was starting to get old, especially as they seemed to just be coming out of the wood works at this point. The moment he heard blondie's voice however, he knew she wasn't a part of this, and for that he was glad.

"Hold on," the Di-Malum said to her calmly as he reached out and grasped her hand. He was not going to crouch behind some bench, no more than he was going to crouch behind some tree planter. He was going to book it the hell out of there, as fast as humanly possible. Well, perhaps a little faster, his Spirit gave him a bit of an added boost. As the shots began to rain down, Aric was ready for them; with his right hand the laser sword at his side ignited, releasing its viridian light. With it, he batted away a few of the bolts, or melted an actual metallic round, which surprised him. He had gotten used to the laser bolts, but not these hard, crude projectiles.

Time seemed to slow down now, as he gripped blondie's hand ever tighter, and rushed forward, and used his Spirit to punch a hole through their opposition. The Di-Malum was not so lucky as to dodge and bat away every shot however, as one singed his right shoulder just as him and Blondie escaped round a corner, which took them into a narrow alley.

OOC: I hope you guys finally take the hint.

"What the..." he said in response to the girls actions he was just offering her a cigarrete but then suddenly shots were being rained down and another man had grabbed the woman and was running through, there was a small opening from where they had bolted through the opposition.

"Well looks like these two will be fun!" he says drawing his blade he ran trying to keep up but having a hard time 'if only my legs were cybernetic too.' he thought jokingly as he ran through slicing the throat of one of the shooters who had ignored him in favor of shooting at the women, his mistake. Quickly he took through an alley that put him up ahead of where the woman and her apparent body guard would end up, when he saw the two he quickly caught up to them and rapidly explained;

"Listen it was just a pack of cigs, nothing more, I don't sell deathsticks, haven't in 5 years proud t'say. Now who the hell were those goons, and will they be chasing after me now that I slit one of their throats to give you some help in your dashing escape?" he spat all this out quickly, still catching his breath from his little jog.

(Dark, I dont know your RP name, can you state it in the next post? Sorry lol.)

The man he had killed was the leaders best friend. "Get him!" The thug had no time for sympathy and ordered all four of his thugs to go after the man who killed his friend. "As for you two, I have something special planned." He chuckled as he said this." The leaders blade had been constructed of some material that was resistant towards lightsabers, and energy weapons.

Ben stood up from the bench and walked next to the man with the lightsaber. Ben then grimacingly slid out his dagger into his left hand, holding it up in offensive stance.

The four thugs crowded in the alley way, having the man who slit the thugs throat apprehended. They all held up their blaster pistol while at the man and made one last word before they would fire. "You will pay for what ya' have done!" The four thugs aimed at the man in the alley while they chased after him.

OOC: haha it's Jasper sorry XD

"Well now..." he said gripping the hilt of his blade, he casually sheathed it, which was an odd move for one in this position. "I suppose I don't get much in the way of negotiations?" his cybernetic limb wresting on a pipe that was attached to the wall, it was a good thing he only had sensors on it that told him how hot and cold it was because he would have had 3rd degree burns if he had used his other arm, but as luck would have it he didn't, but this gave Jasper an idea.

"So I suppose I could try and fight you guys...but that would be silly when I could just take down as many as I can then run." Qhen the dumbfounded looks all arose on most of the men he simply grinned that million dollar smile of his and yanked as hard as he could with his arm pulling the pipe off the wall. Sending steaming hot gass at 3 of the men quickly swinging the pipe around as best he could taking out 2 more but the last one got off a shot that hit him in the leg.

"Argh....dammit." he reached down to see feel the damage but it was just some burnt skin. 'burnt?' he started laughing "Blasters? really, that hi-tech shit isn't perfected yet and you don't even have it set passed stun!" he said laughing, the steam from the pipe masked his right hand that had gone back down to his waist, quickly he drew his pistol and shot the last man square between the eyes. "See, low-tech can be much more effective than that trial stuff. Seems like you glitched pall." he said as the thug sank to his knees dropping his blaster, then falling onto his face bleeding. "Hmm...lets see." he said limping over to one of the fallen men, steam still filling the ally. "Ah perfect!" he said pulling out some medical wraps and using them around his leg.

Deep, seething hatred filled her eyes as she saw the face of her sworn enemy. There was nothing she would have loved better than to rip his nose-ring out and shove it back up his nose. No, today was not the day to face off with him and his goons. She needed to wait for the cards to be stacked in her favor.

The Jedi's soothing words fell upon deaf ears as already the thugs drew their weapons and began to aim. Most suprisingly was the stranger's reaction to it all, as cool and calm as the Jedi. Then, it all began to happen.

Immediately, the stranger seemed to transform beside her into one of the people she feared the most, the Jedi. As he grasped her hand tightly, she was obliged to follow or else. All chaos seemed to erupt around them as laser bolts and slugs began to hurtle their way. One such slug whizzed past her ear, coming within a hair's breath of taking off her ear. Yet, the others seemed to be discarded with a swirl of the fancy lightsword. As one of the men from the deli dived for cover behind a bench and returned fire, she watched in wonder and apprehension as the green-eyed stranger pushed through the attackers, running for safety.

As they rounded the corner, she tried to wrench her hand from his grip for she was fearful of what he was. The shouts of the men following, the urgency of their situation, made it nigh impossible for accusations to fly. Still, as the dark-haired man rounded the corner and called out to them, she saw her chance and finally ripped her hand out of his grasp. There was no time to argue about the cigarettes, let alone anything. Rushing to one of the abandoned buildings, she kicked in an ajar window and quickly slipped inside, wanting to give her pursuers a run for their money.

I should have stopped long enough to grab one of their guns, she chided herself as she made her way through the room and into the hallway, heading for the stairs. Behind her she could hear the other two men following. Cursing, she quickened her pace. Iidesia wanted no part of the Jedi, nor anyone associated with them. With the stranger's display of abilities back there, she knew he was one of them. Sneaky little *bleep*.

Ben sprinted up towards the leader, and as he paced towards he quickly slid his dagger from his right arm to his right hand. He was only one foot away from the thug.

The thug unsheathed his vibroblade, but not in time. Ben's dagger slid into his arm, and then came back out covered in blood. The thug quickly turned around and fired his blaster pistol at Ben, and Ben evaded it far enough to where a small singe on his cloak could be seen. Ben stood behind the thug gesturing him to attack.

The thug hadn't even gasped at it. He stood up as if it was nothing.

Women were so strange, especially blondie here. Aric had just risked his life through open blaster fire and rushed the two of them around a bend so they could get away, and all he got in thanks was a sudden look of horror and her wrenching her hand away from his. Perhaps on this planet it wasn't appropriate to grab the hand of a female without permission, or perhaps it was just this female. Maybe she thought she could have handled herself, and was mad at him for intervening. Whatever the case may be, he decided to keep following her, as she had told him only moments before to keep up, and not to stop to smell the roses. In this case, he agreed, as they were still being chased by these random thugs. Whom the Di-Malum did not know, but by the look in her eyes, blondie seemed to.

"What is with the people on this planet?" he asked, catching up to blondie. "Every time I turn around, there's another group of thugs who want to kill me! I'm just a lost offworlder, nothing more!" Reaching the stairs, he stopped for a moment to catch his breath, "It's almost as if they believe me to be a... Jedi." Aric then came to a realization. It was his laser sword! Every time he used it, or people saw him with it, trouble seemed to sprout out from nowhere. People thought he was a Jedi! At this, he laughed rather loudly, and took a few steps up the stairs. Him, the Di-Malum from the planet of Kacur, a seemingly unknown world from the Unknown Regions, mistaken for a Jedi?

"People are so quick to assume to know what I am, just because of this laser sword," he said, holding the thing in his right hand.

"Very touching" Jasper said rounding through the door. "But uh lets not waste time shall we, I think I've killed or badly injured enough of those goons to be just about on level with blondie and you, so lets stick together and keep moving." he took out one of his opaque packets opened it and snorted the contents not even trying for subtlety this time, suddenly his nerves began to calm and as with every dose of glitterstim his awareness became a little better. "No shut up for a second." he said closing his eyes and focusing, beads of sweat dripped off his face from the running but he didn't move. "God how I love spice." he said with a laugh then added "3 of them, on the other side of this building waiting, they know we're in here, two more behind me trying to catch up. They had to find away around the...er...broken steam pipe so it's bought us a little time, but not much."

Damn, but he's fast, she thought as she realized she was no match for the man's abilities. Running up a flight of stairs, she knew they were in this together, no matter how much she wished it wasn't true. Yet, as his claim of not being a Jedi floated up the stairs, she lost it. Grabbing the rail, she leaned over and glared down at him.

"I'm no fool!" she yelled down at him. "You're one of them! No one but the Jedi can do what you do," she exclaimed out of ignorance. "You even bear their mark," she spat out at him, pointing to the blade on his belt.

Her head then jerked up as she realized the cost of stopping and discussing this. Hurrying up the stairs again, she inadvertantly lead them to their only means of escaping. Two buildings over was one of the emergency entrances to one of many of "her" safehouses.

Making it to the fourth floor, she made her way to the window and jumped to the adjacent building. Catching herself on the ledge, she pulled herself up and into the building through the window. Once safely inside, she turned back to see the stranger on her heels.

Good. Let him come, she thought, her mind still wheeling with the possibilities of him not being a Jedi.

Ben had been left alone with the leader of the thugs. The fact that they had retreated was just cowardly. If they have the will to defend Coruscant, shouldn't they to have the will to defend themselves?

The thug charged up towards Ben, sliding his Vibroblade down to his hand. The man swiped his sword across the air, aiming for Bens head.

Ben grinned at this and slid his dagger out into his hand deflecting the attack. Sparks flew as the two blades met each other. Haha, it always works. They hold their sword there, and then they have a loophole in their defences.

Ben rolled up his other sleeve, revealing a wrist rocket. He clicked the button which signalled a rocket to blast out into the thugs chest. The thug flew atleast two meters in the air and fell to the ground. He had a large red spot right in the center of his body.

Beat...beat...beat.......The thug fell against the ground, dead. Ben hid his dagger once again, and holstered his blaster pistol onto his belt.

"Where are you going? If we go up we're going to simply be trapped on the roof, unless by chance you happen to have some wings on you angel, which I've seen stranger things, I think we should move on and find a way out through the window, a window that wont have us fall to our deaths." he said to the woman following her up the stairs never the less.

No one? The Di-Malum was shocked to the core by her response. She hadn't been upset that he grabbed her hand, or because she thought she could handle herself, Blondie was angry because she believed him to be a Jedi. How wrong she was. "I'm not a Jedi, whether you want to believe me or not." Why was he arguing with a complete stranger about who and what he was? Aric had just met this strange woman, and already they had run into a disagreement. He wasn't even sure she mentioned her name yet!

"Listen," he called after her, as she had rushed on ahead, suddenly remembering that they were being chased. He followed close behind. "This laser sword, it's technically not even mine... I'm not from around here, I'm not even from the known galaxy!" Blondie had just jumped through a window and into the building next to the one they were in. Whoa. The Di-Malum thought about this for a moment, as he really was putting his faith in somebody he didn't know, someone he just met. But, the alternative was to be killed by a gang of people he didn't know, so he went with the only option that made even an ounce of sense. He dug deep down within his Spirit and leaped out the window, soared through the window of the other building, and neatly landed on the floor next to Blondie.

"If you want to make blind assumptions about me, that's fine, but don't refute the things I tell you. If nothing else, don't assume I'm a liar.

Beads of sweat forming on her brow, chest heaving from the exertion, she glared at him in a way he'd probably never been looked at before.

"Why?" she demanded. "Why should I believe anything you say?" she asked before moving across the room to the doorway, not giving him a chance to even answer as she listened for the sound of voices or footsteps.

Hearing nothing, she turned her head toward him and spoke in a low voice, "I said I'd help...and I will. Yet, once you find your friend are that's it. I'm out." she told him. "I don't want no part of you Force users. I've had my fill," she muttered so quietly it was barely intelligible.

Slipping out into the hallway, she quickly made her way to the other side of the building, opening the window like before and getting ready to leap across. They'd have to hurry, but they might be able to reach the safehouse just in time. Ready to jump, she then heard the shouting and shots fired from the floor below. "C'mon," she ordered him and leapt across to the other building, barely catching the ledge this time.

(This is my last post so everyone knows)Ben walked off heading towards the spaceport. He hadn't had fresh blood in a while. Dark fell on Ben, and there were few cars out at the time.
