This place is a maze. Never before have I ever been in a more confusing landscape. As far as my eyes can see, all there is, is more buildings! Do they ever stop? the Di-Malum thought as he traversed on foot through the city-planet of Coruscant. Aric Bogan Neris had been wandering around for a few days now, alone, just trying to get a feel for the place. So far, all he felt was this uncomfortable closeness of the metal jungle that surrounded him. Back on Kacur, things had been different. There were none of these metallic structures, and there were definitely fewer people. Coruscant was a melting pot, Aric had decided; where sentients of almost every species was thrown in and mixed with the others. It was impossible to keep track of how many different beings he had seen during his short stay on the planet thus far, and the number was only going to continue to grow.
Well, I'm hungry. Aric Bogan headed over to a nearby deli, tired of his long trek down the various side streets, as he had no vehicle to speak of, deciding that it was now time to eat.
He opened the door to the deli to noticed quite a few people already inside. It seemed that the place was backed. The Di-Malum brushed back his fiery red bangs, which revealed the sharp contrast of his emerald green eyes. He wore only simple clothes, a dark green vest and pants. Actually, the only other remarkable thing about him besides his red hair, was the laser sword attached to his belt, which he was unaware to be rare among the common people.
The first person he saw was a woman, with dirty blond hair, and stunning blue eyes. She was wearing this unfortunate-looking brown jumpsuit, and had a sullun expression on her face. Aric thought that perhaps she was once beautiful, but something had eaten away at her, not just physically, but emotionally as well. Something had happened to her, to cause her blue eyes to lose a portion of the fire they probably used to have. All this was just an assumption based on looks, but appraisal of the appearance, especially one's eyes, was something the Di-Malum exceeded at. Perhaps it was his Spirit that helped him identify with others, or maybe it was just empathy for having felt the pain of betrayal himself. Life had been cruel to him, and so he seemed to have this gift to spot the same in others.
Then he turned and saw this other woman, dirty blond hair, blue eyes, same deal. She was attractive, and standing next to a black-haired human male, who was sitting down at a table. Aric might have tried to catch her eye, maybe ask for directions, play the lost part, but she had this look to her. She was tough, plus her and the man seemed to be discussing something important, and Aric wasn't the type to listen in to peoples' conversations, so he just walked on past, and headed to the counter. He wasn't sure what else to do, really. He had never been in a deli before, nor any kind of store, actually.
