I took the cordial from him, letting my fingers lightly brush against his before thanking him and taking a sip. Even though the crowds around us were growing, I did not take my attentions off of him. I smiled and dropped my gaze to the table while looking up through long, thick lashes.
"So," I began, moving my glass to the side and bringing my elbows to the table and locking my fingers together. "Have you come to Eriadu for business, pleasure or simply wishing to revisit the good times?" I asked him.
My gaze was locked with his until I heard the sound of a crash. Instantly, one hand reached out for his as I turned my head, trying to find the source of the sound, my heart hammering. Men love seeing a woman vulnerable and scared.
