(Open for any Jedi Padawan and any Jedi Knight/Master who got invited IC)

900a6f0be6c8ffb78c9babb42ef708c5.jpg

It was the talk of the Jedi Temple; the beach party on Chandrila.

Nobody knew where the initial plans came from, but it was rumored that a senior Padawan named "Karlo" was behind them. However, some questioned whether Karlo was a real Padawan to begin with. Regardless of who started it, the Jedi Padawans were headed to Chandrila and would have to show up in bathing suits.

And there'd be lots of snacks and activities.

Clove had also been invited. To be more specific, she was dragged along against her will because 'it'd be fun and good for you.' Her therapist agreed, claiming that she needed to do more than just practice combat and beginning dance lessons. The traitor. The journey from Yavin to Chandrila was relatively long, allowing the many Jedi aboard the shuttle to prepare for their upcoming beach adventures. It meant rechecking her pink frilly bikini and white lace caftan over and over for the half-Sephi.

The shuttle finally touched down at the top of a small hill, revealing the bright tropical beach to anyone on board. When the ramp opened, the interior was filled with the salty scent of the ocean. Those who came with their own ships had plenty of room to park behind the shuttle and were met with the same breathtaking view.

The small hill had a small trail that led the Padawans directly to the sand and a wooden pier. A volleyball net and ball were located to the left of the pier, with several towels laying in the sand and a parasol blocking the harsh sunlight. An unlit campfire with wooden logs was to the right of the pier, and a little further away was a small but open cottage with white curtains blowing out of the open windows and doors. There was a small kitchen with iced drinks, two sleeping rooms and a living room with couches and comfortable lounging chairs.

And nobody could forget the main attraction: kayaks and a sailboat swaying in the water.

The half-Sephi climbed out of the ship and glanced over the beach that lay ahead of them. And after debating on what to do, Clove made her way down the trail and towards the unlit campfire and logs. There she sat down and quietly admired the gorgeous azure blue ocean.

Depending on what people do or how many people there are, the map might be updated.

It hadn't taken much convincing to get Jacata to Chandrilla. A day or two without pre-dawn meditations or exercises? That was all it took. He liked the beach, he had spent a few months on assignment near a beach a few years back. There was just a certain calmness that could be found there. He had traveled across the galaxy, moving through the vast emptiness of space but it was the ocean that made him feel small.

He filed out of the transport, slipping on sunglasses as he picked up his surfboard and volleyball. He wasn't sure if either would get any use but it seemed better to be prepared. He made his way down the trail and finally out onto the beach.

His feet sunk down in the warm sand, warm breeze pushing past him. The brightly colored swim trunks were definitely not the norm for Jedi, but Jacata liked it.

Jacata stuck his board in the sand and walked the short distance to where the water met let. The sand shifted under his feet as the cool waves moved in and out.

Today was going to be a good day.

Varyn was impatient to get there. After several hours scrolling through Speddit and several more ragey losses at Qwent including one to his "professional rival," someone whose username was literally "Username," he was just ready to be there. So when the shuttle finally set down, he was one of the first down the ramp and out into the sunlight.

The day was perfect and as he made it down to the sand, he quickly stripped off his shoes and sunk his bare feet into the warm sand. Tossing his bag aside and his shirt on top of it, he wasted no time in heading out toward the water.

I think we need to thank "Karlo" for putting this together! he shouted back toward the others. He was pretty sure Karlo was just an alias for someone who didn't want to get in trouble for putting forward ideas of Padawan Parties, but Karlo deserved a compliment for this one.

As he stepped into the water up to his ankles, the water washed up around him and was warm enough to be more refreshing than chilling. He couldn't wait to break out the snorkels or maybe jump into one of the kayaks. Maybe he should just do that now before anyone else got to one? Decisions, decisions.

As Varyn ventured into the water, he would feel a chill run down his spine, like he was back in youngling training and someone was about to tell on him to the Masters for telekinetically spilling a fellow youngling's milk on his pants. On cue, a pale woman would walk up to him, a clipboard in her hand.

"Are you Karlo? And have you signed the waiver forms? You do need to be careful about starfish, unless you want to ask someone to pee on you. I most certainly will not be willing to help you in that regard." She rambled on, not letting the young man get a word in sideways, before coming to a conclusion on her own without paying any attention to what he might be saying or doing. "I take it you aren't Karlo?" Letting out a sigh, for the briefest moment she let herself enjoy the warm water that was lapping around her feet, before remembering herself and somehow making her posture even straighter than it had been. "You really should put on some sunscreen."

With that she would walk out of the water, and come to a stop near its edge, standing primly with clipboard held up protectively to her chest. She would wait for more padawans to arrive, eager to remind them to sign the waiver forms as well. What a fun day she had to look forward to!

When the rumors started to appear that there was going to be a beach party for the Padawans on Chandrila, Elidan thought that it was good and bad. Good because everyone would be away from the Temple and he would not need to walk through the corridors afraid of doing something that would give even more reason to the others to think that he is more weird than he already is. And bad because a part of him really wanted to go there to have fun and perhaps make friends.

When the rumors became true and the trip to Chandrila was announced, Elidan was already selecting some books to read on his Datapad during these days that the Temple would be nearly empty. However, Healer Asadra Seh had put his name on the list of Padawans that were going to the party. According to her it was the perfect opportunity for him to make more friends. Not wanting to disappoint her, the half-Sephi ended up agreeing to go.

This is why he was now there, seated with several other Padawans in a shuttle that was starting to land. The trip from Yavin IV to Chandrila happened without problems. Elidan spent most of it reading one of the books that he had saved on his Datapad. He was sitting alone, this way no one disturbed him. Before they left Yavin, a male Rodian Padawan approached the place where the half-Sephi was, probably wanting to sit there with him. But changed his mind after seeing who was in the other seat. With his hearing, the boy heard the other saying that he didn’t want to sit near the “weird silent guy”.

When the shuttle finally landed, Elidan waited until all the other Padawans left it to finally leave his place. A smile appeared on his lips after he saw the sight that was in front of him. The vast blue ocean was so beautiful. Was only now that he remembered that it was his first time seeing the sea. He pulled his Datapad from his bag and started to take some pictures of it. Maybe he could go to the water at some moment, when there wasn’t anyone there.

Deciding to wait while the other Padawans were exchanging their travel clothes for their swimsuits, Elidan tried to find a place where he could finish reading his book. From where the shuttle had landed, the half-Sephi had seen an unlit campfire and logs. Deciding that it was a good place, since no one would stay there so early, he followed the trail that went to this place.

Elidan stopped walking when he reached the campfire. He saw that there was already someone there. A girl, with ears like his own, was seated in one of the logs, looking at the sea. The boy wanted to turn back and walk away, to search for another place to read. But it would be very impolite, she probably already noticed that he had arrived there.

If the other half-Sephi turned to him, she would see Elidan with his face red and the point of his ears twitching. He would open in his Datapad one of the many greeting messages that he already had saved to use when meeting someone new. Then he would show it to her “Hello, my name is Elidan and I have mutism.” he would them type a new one and show it to her. “Sorry for disturbing you. I’m already going away.

Zana was beyond thrilled at the prospect of a social gathering that wasn’t another potluck. Quite frankly, many of the padawans didn’t know how to cook and there was a food poisoning case almost every time. The twi’lek wasn’t the biggest fan of hot weather, but even she couldn’t deny the appeal of a beach. She loved the sounds of seagulls, the salty breeze and the cheery noises of people on the beach.

She responsibly applied plenty of sunblock, adorned in a bikini top with a sarong tied around her waist. She also had sunglasses on, hiding her golden gaze from view. Zana felt entirely comfortable in her attire, and she was happy to show off her slender frame. It felt great to get out of her drab Jedi robes every now and then.

While she wasn’t old enough to drink here, she could certainly get the virgin versions. Zana had a coconut in her hand with a straw sticking out of it. She was sipping a pina cola out of the coconut, walking by the shore as she made her way towards the campfire and logs.

On her way, she spotted a Mirialan padawan (@Raydo)she hadn’t met before. Shades meant she could shamelessly stare a bit, eyeing his athletic torso before he took off to get in the water. She next spotted Varyn (@Phoenix ) and waved at him before she continued walking. She didn’t get the chance to silently rate his appearance since he was promptly accosted by a grumpy looking Echani (@Wit). Definitely Thelian’s sister. Zana grimaced and quickly shuffled away, hightailing it towards the campfire to avoid being approached.

“Eli!” Zana called out, waving to the half-Sephi (@LouJoVi ). He was one of the earliest Jedi she had met on account of both having survived Ajan Kloss. The two were part of the same batch of rescued younglings. She smiled at him before looking at the half Sephi girl (@LilyNion ).

“Hey, you’re Vanhoop, right?” Zana blurted out. She looked a bit sheepish after that - knowing she only knew the girl’s name from the infamous Dantooine story. Instead of letting awkward silence linger, she smiled again, reaching a hand out to shake hers and providing her first name, “I”m Zana!”

Varyn was quickly approached by a girl-woman (@Wit) of unclear age who he had heard about but never had more than a passing conversation with. Though Varyn tried to keep an open mind about people, she had a bit of a reputation as a kill-joy, and coming up to him with a waiver in hand didn't do anything to alleviate that view of her.

While telling everyone to thank me is something I would probably do, no, I'm not Karlo, he said. He was pretty sure she didn't actually listen to a single word he said as she started moving on to yell at the next person.

Nice talking to you to, he grumbled not-so-quietly as she walked away. He rolled his eyes, shook his head, and turned his attention back to the ocean.

He sent a returned and excited wave in the direction of Zana (@Sreeya). She was looking quite nice in her outfit, but she seemed to hurry off before being accosted by Miss Grumpy-Gils. Thanks Grumpy-Gils.

He waded further out into the water until the waves were beating up against him and jumped up into it. He lacked a surfboard but was unperturbed, the waves washing up over his rather shaggy-hair, and bringing a smile to his face. A much-needed break from all the meditating and training expected of a diligent Padawan.

Thelian wouldn’t be caught dead at one of those wretched potlucks, even if someone paid him. The Echani boy simply had zero desire to sit around singing ‘kumbaya’ around some campfire, eating awful food that was probably going to give him the shits a few hours later. As such, the Echani was somewhat more willing to entertain the idea of attending the beach-trip to Chandrila, even if he was a largely anti-social person by nature.

The promise of a volleyball net and several other physical activities had been the final motivating factor to get him onto the ship. The training yards on Yavin were closed for maintenance, and there was quite literally nothing better to do back at the temple.

He stepped out onto the beach, taking a deep breath of the salty air that rustled his snowy hair and feeling the warmth against his exceptionally pale skin. As one could probably expect, the Echani had practically bathed in a bacta-tank filled with sunblock before he arrived, and anyone nearby could probably smell it. Given his physiology, Thelian was exceptionally suspectable to getting sunburnt, and anything less than completely drenching himself in SPF likely would’ve had him looking more like a Zeltron than an Echani by the time he left.

Naturally, Thelian left his shirt behind as he stepped out onto the sands, adorned in just a pair of dark-blue swim trunks. While he sported a decently muscular physique, the most notable thing about the Echani was probably the freshly inked tattoo’s that covered a good portion of his chest. On the left side of his chest – stretching up to his shoulder and across his heart – was a star-chart that had been tattooed over the top of the lightning scars in black ink – a network of solid lines and smaller black stars that formed a map across his torso. Directly over the Echani’s heart was a larger star, meant to represent Dantooine, which had been tattooed in light blue ink.

Additionally, a quick glance down to the Echani’s forearm would reveal another tattoo against his pale skin. Directly over the vein of his wrist were three crossed sabers, their points extending just beneath the edge of his palm. Each saber was inked in a slightly different color – two sabers inked in darker and lighter shades of blue, while the third, the one in the middle, was soft green.

Thelian grabbed the first drink he could get his hands on and gradually made his way towards the campfire logs, silver eyes scanning the beach as he walked. He spotted two Padawans – one human and one Mirialan – whom he had never met before. He allowed his gaze to linger for a moment before snapping back again. Next, the Echani’s gaze fell upon the only figure that was quite as pale as he was. Thelian blinked at the sight of the female Echani, remembering her infamous moniker of “The Worst”.

"Fuck that." He muttered very flatly.

Thelian proceeded to avoid the woman like she was infected with AMS, carving an unnecessarily wide path to avoid being stopped by the woman. He most definitely did not have a waiver, and wasn't about to get jumped like that other guy.

Finally, the Echani arrived near the campfire – lingering on the edge of the group as was his usual habit. He spotted Clove, Elidan and Zana all gathered around the logs. He had interacted with each and every one of them, mercifully sparing him from introductions for the time being. Unsurprisingly, the Echani had that same broody expression on his face that he was always known for, arms crossed over his chest as he sipped from a coconut. “Sup.”

Not long after Clove had sat down on the log and corrected her lace caftan to lay more flattering, the first Jedi had found their way to the water. Her head tilted to the right at the sight of a Padawan (@Phoenix ) yelling his gratitude for 'Karlo', as an Echani woman... girl... (@Wit ) snuck up on him. With... what was she holding in her hands?

Were those waiver forms?

The half-Sephi stared at the scene with a look of confusion in her eyes, until a new sound alerted her: footsteps in the loose sand approaching the unlit campfire. Her attention was drawn away from the sea and toward the source. To her surprise, it was a tall boy (@LouJoVi) with beautiful autumn red hair, striking eyes, and ears that matched hers. A half-Sephi? His red face and twitching ears indicated that he was as surprised as she was, albeit for different reasons.

The sight of the datapad didn't bother her; after a week or two of only communicating with a datapad, she was the last person to pass judgment.

"It's lovely to meet you, Elidan, my name is Clove" She waited patiently as he scribbled a new message and raised her brows as he showed it to her. He wanted to leave? But why? Did she do something wrong? Today's goal was to pick up social interactions again, not to send the first person she sees fleeing. She had to fix it. "Oh, no, you didn't bother me at all. If you'd like, you're welcome to join me; the view from here is stunning." She said it in a soft tone, though it wasn't exactly soft given her bubbly, high-pitched voice.

A cheerful voice called out the redhaired half-Sephi name's before she could say anything else. The voice belonged to a Twi'lek (@Sreeya), who wasn't much taller than Clove and wore a stunning yellow bikini and had the cutest growing lekku. Her blue skin looked so amazing against the yellow.

The Twi'lek's recognition of Clove and knowledge of her name was one of the main reasons why she hesitated to join the party, or any gatherings with strangers for that matter. It was as if she had become famous overnight, for all the wrong reasons, and she despised it. But, that too was something she had to accept. Or try to accept, anyway. Thankfully the girl didn't linger on it and instead extended her hand for a handshake.

Clove gave Zana a small smile and shook her hand with a bounce in her ears. "Nice to meet you, Zana. Vanhoop sounds ridiculous in conversations, so just call me Clove." After letting go of Zana's hand, the half-Sephi shuffled over the log to make room for both Zana and Elidan on the same log, in case they wanted a seat. "By the way, your bikini is beautiful."

Another person, much to her surprise, entered the crowd—Could you really call it a crowd when there were only four people?—that had gathered around the logs.

Thelian (@Altaris), who looked as grumpy as ever, had decided to join them. The sight of his new tattoos on his chest and wrist sharply reminded her of her own new tattoos, which included the exact same three crossed lightsabers on the inside of her wrist on top of the vein, and her own star map curling across her lightning scar on her chest, with delicate flowers and leaves at each new star. Regardless, she couldn't help but smile warmly at the sight of a familiar face among the crowd of strangers. "Hey, Thelian."

Even the wind seemed to pull up slightly as "The Worst" approached the water. Jacata had never actually met her, and he was sure the stories were exaggerated but only time could tell. He sparred a look for the Jedi slowly trickling out onto the beach. All sitting around the fire. They could have fires at the Jedi Temple! Why would anyone pass up the water!.

They were all here to have fun, and some people's idea was fun was hounding people for signatures, some people's idea of fun was to sit around a fire. Who was he to stand in the way of that. "Here, I haven't signed it." he said, smiling as he approached the pair ( @Wit @Phoenix ). He wasn't exactly sure who the waiver was for. It wasn't like he could sue to Order or anything but it was no matter to him. He would attempted to take one of the forms and sign. "Can't be too careful I suppose!" he said with a laugh. "Here ya go! Good Luck finding Karlo!" he said handing the signed form back. "Dont have too much fun," he said with wink as he took off his sunglasses and tossed them down in the sand before fully venturing out into the water with his board.

He dove, landing stomach first on his board as a wave rolled underneath him. "She's a gem, isn't she?" he commented with a laugh. ( @Phoenix ) He sat up, legs dangling in the water. "I'm Jacata." he said introducing himself as another small wave rolled underneath them. He would have to go out further to get any real good waves.

Chandrila. It was one of the many planets Eyvone remembered the face of the planet, but the nagai had never ventured onto its surface. Her parents had taken her here before, but she was left within the ship while they had gone off to do their thing. It was a strange feeling to return again to the planet, but this time without them and with entirely different intentions. The subtle pangs of grief weighed down her chest, but the padawan had grown so used to their presence that the feeling was barely acknowledged by her. It had become a daily exercise for her to try and work through her feelings, but more often than not she opted to push them away for later. Seeing as the girl was here to be social, grief was not something she wanted on her mind. She needed to be happy and sociable. At the very least, she needed to try.

Sage green eyes peered out from behind the glass of the transport ship as it descended down into Chandrila’s atmosphere. It’s lush green continents, vash blue oceans, and its sky painted with swirling clouds were not new to her. Chandrila had always been one of the most beautiful planets in Eyvone’s eyes. As she exited the ship and took her first steps onto the sandy dirt, the smell of salty ocean air and warmth of sunlight against her skin visibly brightened the girl’s visage. Maybe she would enjoy today regardless of her reservations.

Perhaps she would, but Eyvone still harbored an uneasy feeling as she slowly made her way down the sandy path to the beach-side destination. Social gatherings had yet to be her forte; after spending the first seventeen years of her life aboard a ship with only her mother, father, and strictly online interactions, it was difficult for her to adjust to the sheer amount of people that could be around her at once. Truth be told, if Thelian had not mentioned that he would be attending, she would not have come. The echani was the only person Eyvone had interacted with in a way that was deeper than surface-level conversation, other than Crix of course. For the sake of battling the crippling loneliness she struggled with everyday, she would try.

‘It’ll be fun. It’s the beach! Who doesn’t love the beach?’ These were the nagai teen’s thoughts as the ocean came into view and the treeline began to thin out and disappear. She pulled her coverup, which matched her suit, over her shoulders to shield her alabaster skin from the sun’s sudden heat, then adjusted her hat to do the same for her face. Eyvone had never been to a beach on any planet, actually. She had never even gone swimming before. Hopefully she could avoid testing whether or not she could. Eyvone scanned her eyes across the scenery before her and noted the location of the building to her left, as well as the two groups of people she could spot. One group had entered the water, and the other was congregating around a campfire. Her sage eyes settled on the one padawan she knew, and after a moment to let her eyes linger, she began to make her way down towards the group.

Eyvone too avoided the woman chasing people down with a clipboard (@Wit ) after she quickly decided that the woman’s stern expression was reason enough. She passed by as a mirialan teen spoke with her, going by unnoticed for now.

“Thelian?” The sunscreen-slathered padawan (@Altaris ) would most definitely recognize the nagai’s distinctive voice if he did not spot her approach beforehand. The rest of the padawans present, some of whom Eyvone recognized but did not know personally, would likely be seeing Eyvone for the first time. Back on Yavin IV, she spent a lot of her time not training hidden away in her room. After her eyes lingered for several seconds on Thelian’s new tattoos, they would travel back to survey the group. The first thing she noticed was how nice everyone looked in their respective swimsuits. The second thing she noticed was the distinctive pointed ears of Elidan (@LouJoVi ) and Clove (@LilyNion ), a feature which she shared. There was a curious look on her face just then, but she did not say anything about it.

“Ah, um, hi! I’m Eyvone.” A startled look passed briefly over her features before she blurted out an introduction, speaking again in the distinctive, almost hypnotic voice she had inherited from her nagai parents. She then stood there quite awkwardly, doing her best to ignore the heat that rose in her cheeks and the tips of her ears.

When the other half-Sephi identified herself as Clove, Elidan widened his eyes in surprise. He had heard, while walking through the Temple corridors, some gossip about the Battle of Dantooine. Between the ones about the “Legendary Thelian Punch” and “the creepy Sith Acolyte”, there was one about how a Padawan called Clove survived this battle. He never expected that would find her alone there. (@LilyNion)

It’s nice to meet you too, Clove.” Elidan gave her a bright smile, after she said that he could stay there “Thank you! I promise that you will not even notice my presence. I only wanted a place to read, but the view there is really beautiful.” he looked toward the sea in front of them. The sunlight hitting the water made it shiny like it was made of several gems.

The boy used his Datapad to take some pictures. While he did it, he saw a very pale girl chasing other Padawans on the sand, near the water. He wondered if they were playing some game, but then he noticed that the girl had some papers in her hand. Was she trying to make people sign documents on the beach? Was it some attendance list? Maybe he should see what it was later. (@Wit)

Then he heard a voice that nearly made him drop his Datapad on the floor. It was Zana. The two knew each other since they were rescued from Ajan Kloss. After Elidan was rescued from the Acolytes, he was put in the shuttle that the Twi’lek was. He remembers how she talked with him while he cried and was some of the few Padawns that still talked with him even after he developed mutism. She was nice to him, and she was pretty. (@Sreeya)

It was probably because of it that he had a small crush on her since he was eleven years old.

He turned to the Twi’lek with a smile on his lips, while blushing. His ears were twitching due to a mix of nervousness and happiness. “Hey, Zan! How are you?” he would show the message to her. He noticed how the Twi’lek’s attire made her look even more pretty. When Clove mentioned it, Elidan nodded in agreement.

Soon another person arrived in their group. It was Thelian, or how some Younlings call him “Mighty Thelian, the Destroyer of Sith Creepers”. As always he was grumpy. He wondered if the Echani was even capable of smiling. Elidan noticed that the other boy had some tattoos on his body. They were very cool. “Hello, Thelian.” he showed his Datapad, this way the other would be able to see his message. (@Altaris)

Then another Padawan approached them. Her name was Eyvone and from her appearance, Elidan suspected that she could be a Nagai. “Hello, my name is Elidan and I have mutism.” the boy showed her the same message that he used with Clove. While the other half-Sephi was nice to him and proved to have patience with his condition, he didn't know if this other girl would have too. The last thing that he wanted was to annoy people on a day that would be for them to relax.

Zana couldn’t help but smile when she saw the slight twitch in Clove’s (@LilyNion ) ears. The twi’lek found Sephi ears absolutely adorable, and they were always so expressive. She had first seen them on Elidan, noting how they got across more than any words or writing ever could. Zana chuckled softly at Clove’s admission of her last name sounding silly.

“Clove it is then!” She said brightly. She glanced down at her own outfit when the half Sephi complimented it, a wide smile appearing on her face, “Aww thanks! I love that caftan!” The girl was truly beautiful with her attire and the intricate tattoos. Of course, Zana wasn’t worldly enough to work out that it was the star map of Dantooine.

She looked over at Eli (@LouJoVi )with a smile. She didn’t speak, but instead signed back to him, “I’m great! So happy you came out!” She had picked up how to sign just for him. He was one of her first friends since coming to the Order, and she would always have a soft spot for him. He was usually wary around strangers, so to see him make an attempt to be social brought her joy.

Zana’s brows rose as she saw Thelian (@Altaris )make his way over. She hadn’t expected the broody padawan to show up in a million years. There was no denying he was easy on the eyes, especially since he was one of the more buff boys. However, his moody demeanor usually made him less approachable, and he was basically a criminal. These were all great excuses to cover up that she found him attractive. She didn’t miss the tattoo, however, looking from there to Clove’s. Matching tattoos? Either they were in some sort of cult or….perhaps they were dating. She looked back and forth between the two and concluded that no one could stand Thelian that long, so it had to be a cult.

The twi’lek simply nodded at the Echani before looking up at another girl (@lizziie ) that joined them. Zana sipped from the coconut, eyeing the rather fashionable getup the Nagai wore. She didn’t miss how she knew Thelian as well, along with Clove. She knew the dude was the mysterious popular guy, but she got to see it firsthand now. Zana looked over at Eyvone, “Hey there! I’m Zana!” She gestured to the lounge chair beside her, “Come sit with us!”

While they conversed, Zana’s gaze kept flicking over to the ocean, silently watching that hot Mirialan (@Raydo) practice surfing. She stared blatantly for a while as she finished up her coconut drink before setting it down.

“Gonna go take a dip,” She announced to the group before standing and shrugging off the sarong to reveal a matching bikini bottom and slender legs with an anklet around one of her ankles. She walked past the others and towards the water where the Mirialan and Varyn (@Phoenix ) were.

The twi’lek stood at the edge of the waves, idly fiddling with one of her lekku. She called out to the Mirialan when he was within earshot, “Hey!” She took a few steps into the water, “Mind showing me how to surf?” She asked sweetly with an almost shy smile.

Felix had never been to the beach, well to precise he had never been to a saltwater beach and he didn't really consider lake beaches proper beaches, not like the one he was now stood on the edge of. White sand and crystal blue waters, it was like something he had dreamed of.

Shaking his head he snapped out of his daze and he made his first steps onto the beach, the sand felt weird to walk on with how it shifted under his foot he was wearing some simple swim shorts with a tank top. He would approach the group with Clove (@LilyNion ) smiling at her "Hey".

It felt a bit weird seeing his peers in swimwear, compared to robes in didn't leave much to the imagination. he would nod to others (@LouJoVi @lizziie @Altaris ) "I'm Felix"

he always felt some awkwardness with other padawans, often his notoriety proceeded him, that black spot he couldn't get rid of, Denon. So he tended to keep to himself but Clove had invited him and he couldn't say no to her and now he was here.

Varyn pushed the hair back from his face, floating and jumping in sync with the waves to avoid being swamped with each one that came in.

Yeah, she's really something, he said, opening his eyes excessively wide and shaking his head slightly to say that he agreed she seemed crazy.

Varyn! he greeted his new friend excitedly. Good to meet you. That's a nice board you've got there. You get a chance to surf often or is that something you picked up "before"? he asked. Many people came to the Order at all different times of life and for all he knew, Jacata was a pro surfer before coming to the Jedi. The agility from the Force probably would have made him quite good at it.

He heard someone else call out from the shore a few moments later and turned to see Zana coming over, asking Jacata for a lesson on surfing. He turned back to Jacata a moment later and smirked.

Come on in, the water's great! he shouted to Zana before turning back to the Mirialan.

No hard feelings on ditching me. I'd do it if she were asking me, he said quietly and grinning before promptly getting a wave full-on in the face because he hadn't been paying attention. He came back to the surface a moment later, nose filled salt water and gagging ever so slightly. So much for 'the Force will help you sense danger.' How about the Force help him not look like an idiot.

"Yeah, man!" he responded back to Varyn. "Thanks bro. I basically never get to use it. Takes up like a quarter or the living space in my room though." he said with a slight grimace. He wasn't sure he was even allowed to have it, but no one had ever really said anything about it and he tried to hide it the best he could if he knew there were going to be room inspections or something. "Actually, One of the Masters taught me." he said. "Used it for some lesson about finding balance in one's self or some such. You know how they like the turn everything into a lesson. Anyways, just kind of took to it!" he explained.

He was about to carry the conversation further when a voice called out from the shore. Jacata turned his board sideways after another wave passed under them. He let out a breath as he spotted her on the shore with a smile that drew him in. He gave the guy a subtle apologetic glace. "Maybe we wil...." he was cut off by a wave plastering Varyn. Jacata had instinctively shifted his weight, letting himself move over the wave. When the fellow Padawan emerged, Jacata chuckled, not in mocking way but in an understanding way. He had been there before. "You good? Can't have you drinking all the ocean, brother. Might sour the day." he said, smiling.

Letting the next wave carry him back to the shore, he stood and picked up the board. "Hi there." he said, finally approaching the Twi'lek. He was a good foot taller than her, water dripping down a broad athletic build. "I'd love to show you! Wonder if there are other boards around?" he said excitedly. He glanced around seeing if there were extra boards but didn't spot any. "I guess we are sharing this board then." he said, looking back towards her with a smile.

He turned back towards the water. "I'm Jacata by the way!" he said, introducing himself as they waded to a place deep enough to show her around the board but where the waves were pretty tame.

Thelian kept his arms crossed over his chest, silver eyes cast out over the crystal blue water while idly sipping from the coconut shell in his hand. Considering the Echani had quite literally swiped it off a tray without looking, he didn’t actually know what he was drinking, but it was refreshing enough in this heat for him to not ask any additional questions.

“Hey.” He spoke to Clove, greeting the half-Sephi with his characteristic flat tone and expression. He didn’t smile, but the Echani looked somewhat less grumpy upon seeing the girl - silver eyes gradually drifting down to the crossed-saber tattoo on her wrist, completely matching his own. There was underlying meaning there that only the two of them would understand, and he was entirely oblivious to any assumptions being made by others.

The Echani then turned his attention to Zana, another face he recognized from their recent adventures. He was not at all surprised to see her at this gathering, considering her generally bubbly nature most of the time. She probably attended those awful potlucks, too. Thelian gave her a simple nod of his head in silent greeting and before long he went back to staring off into space, up until another female voice drew his attention.

His eyes snapped to the left, blinking a few times as Eyvone strolled up to join the group. “Hey, Eyvone.” Truth be told, the Echani couldn’t help but be somewhat surprised by her arrival. The Nagai was exceptionally reclusive, even by Thelian’s standard. While he mentioned that he was going to Chandrila in passing, he didn’t actually expect her to tag along as well. He gave the Nagai a simple tip of his coconut shell before turning to Elidan.

“Sup bro.” Thelian jutted his chin towards the other half-Sephi, recognizing him from their brief interactions back on Yavin. While he didn’t say anything about it, Thelian was silently grateful that the half-Sephi made a point of utilizing a datapad to communicate. The Echani had minimal education as it was, and unlike Zana, most definitely did not know sign language, and probably would’ve looked like a complete idiot without the half-Sephi literally spelling It out.

Thelian blinked a few times, watching as Zana suddenly declared she was going for a swim, giving her brief thumbs up while sipping from his drink. His gaze followed the twi’lek as she shrugged off the sarong and made her way towards the water. Silver eyes drifted down and lingered on the little anklet she wore for a few seconds before flicking back to the group, his attention drawn to yet another arrival.

The Echani watched as Felix joined them, eyeing the man curiously. He had never met the Padawan before, so why did he seem so familiar? He blinked a few times when a name was uttered to attach to the face, the cogs behind Thelian’s eyes slowly working.

“Hey bro—Wait a damn minute.” Thelian paused, letting the bendy straw drop from his lips as silver eyes went slightly wide. He finally realized why the guy seemed to familiar. “Oh shit. Aren’t you the guy who ran those people over on Denon?” He asked without an ounce of shame or hesitation, arching a brow at the Padawan.

Sev hesitantly hopped out of his prized Sundance to set foot on the warm sandy beach of Chandrila. Part of him wondered why he, of all the Padawans were invited to this little get together by the mysterious "Karlos". Severus was not one for social gatherings as they made him uneasy and were wastes of time for him, at least. Severus did not want to partake of the drama that his fellow teenagers seemed to create out of the whims of their very thoughts. How was it so easy for them to destroy such hard fought peace and serenity with such small implications that probably never existed in the first place??

He had been watching the others from his ship on the far end of the beach, waiting for...what exactly? Sev had no idea what to do! Talk? Maybe, yeah, sure he could go and introduce himself, but how was he supposed to go about talking about himself? That didn't sound right in his head- pride was not something Severus had a lot of. He was just...calm and quiet for the most part.

After a minute or two of being lost in thought, Severus decided to join the others. However, he didn't so much as wave to anyone, instead only briefly glancing at them with his unintentional bitter stare. So far he heard the names of...Jacata, Thelian, Varyn, Evyone, and Clove. Then, the guy named Thelian made distasteful remark about another kid named Felix. And there was someone else, but Severus never heard the name come up so he decided it could wait. Everyone was dressed for the occasion besides Severus- who had no intention of getting in the water today. Not that he couldn't swim, he just preferred being on solid ground more than anything.

Severus glared at Thelian but said nothing on the matter- the blunt meat-headedness that Thelian seemed to have was ridiculous and impertinent. Not to mention disrespectful- Severus Creed may not have been the one for good conversation, but at least he knew how to avoid a bad one.

If my generation is the future of the galaxy...may the Force help us all. Severus sighed disdainfully and rolled his eyes.

Clove's shoulders relaxed as the Twi'lek (@Sreeya) smiled and spoke with a bright tone in her voice. The people's joy was contagious, and she realized she wouldn't regret joining this beach party. She might even make some new friends. "Oh, thank you!" she said almost shyly to Zana, her lips curled into a warmer smile than they had been in a while.

More and more people found their little corner of solitude.

First joined a beautiful girl named Eyvone (@lizziie), whom Clove assumed to be a Nagai due the sound of her smooth silky voice and near-white skin. She appeared awkward, at least awkward enough to make her blush. "Hey Eyvone, I'm Clove. You have a very pretty name." Clove spoke softly, reassuringly, because she knew exactly how awkward it felt to be at a party full of strangers.

Not long after came Felix (@christhebetrayer), who traded spots with Zana. She'd only met him once, on that damned and cursed planet, but seeing another familiar face made her glad, and she returned the smile. She also felt obligated to be nice because he was the Padawan brother of her best friend. "Hey, Felix. I'm glad you could make it."

And then Thelian (@Altaris) acted like Thelian.

She couldn't say she blamed him because she'd heard the same rumors, but she knew she'd hate it if someone approached her and asked, "Oh shit, aren't you the Padawan who ate dirt on Dantooine!?" Nonetheless, she chose to remain silent; this wasn't her fight.

And then another Padawan (@Charles) joined the group. He hadn't made an effort to introduce himself, and he wasn't dressed in anything summer-y. To be honest, he appeared gloomier than Thelian, which was a remarkable achievement in and of itself. And all he did was stand there. Like a statue, he was barely moving. Staring at them. Cloaked in black. Staring. Kriff. Clove's heart began to race in her chest, followed by a growing instinct to flee as far as she could from him.

Realizing she was about to make a scene, she shuffled back over the log towards Elidan (@LouJoVi) who felt like peace and calmness himself. It wasn't fair to use his soothing aura to calm herself down, but it was better than freaking out and throwing a stone at the stranger's head.

Even if that stranger was a creep who reminded her of things she'd rather forget.

"So much for reading in peace, huh?" Clove whispered under her breath towards the half-Sephi, followed by a slightly forced chuckle. "What were you going to read, if you don't mind me asking?"

Zana simply stared at the Mirialan as he emerged from the water with his board. It vaguely reminded her of that one old Holoseries about sexy lifeguards and their drama. She also didn’t realize just how much taller he was, blinking a few times as he arrived closer. Zana blankly stared for a moment before clearing her throat and quickly pretending as if she wasn’t checking him out seconds prior. Mercifully her shades hid her vacant look.

“Other boards?” She looked around, not having thought of that little detail. Zana was about to sigh in defeat when he suggested using his board instead. For some reason this measure of kindness brought a hint of purple to her cheeks, but she tried to ignore it, “Sharing? Uh okay,” She muttered as she waded into the water with him.

“I’m Zana!” She said cheerfully, coming to a pause before he did. Their height difference was certainly a factor in how deep she could wade in.

As he began to show her the basics, it was clear Zana had no idea what she was doing. She laid down on the board and attempted to paddle and was going nowhere. A gentle wave lapped at her and toppled her over into the water.

Zana emerged moments later, coughing and sputtering from having gone under, “Ugh! This is tough!” She said between coughs, “You made it look so easy!”
