*An eerie silence floated within the training room. At the center of the room, a child sat in the lotus position, breathing in and out slowly. Sitting upright, the child was resting his forearms on his thighs, fingers spread out slightly as each finger its opposite in the shape of an "O" near the center of his crossed legs. Eyes closed, thoughts brewed within the deepest corners of his brain.

In the depths of his mind, Tyran Eldras quickly reviewed the lessons learned from his former Master Tian Velvar: Force Telepathy, Sense, Telekinesis, along with some of the Jedi Philosophy. Exercising whatever skills could be applied in the moment, a stone floated from the far corner of the room upward, than sped towards Tyran as if Tyran was gravity itself. The stone stopped right at Tyran's feet and dropped to the floor. The low thump on the floor rang throughout the room before vanishing into thin air.

Force Sense was performed as well; there were five people within the 20 meter radius within the extent Tyran could perform Force Sense. After practicing for some time, Tyran was already sweating from the use of the Force, beads of sweat forming on Tyran's forehead, running to his chin before dripping onto the floor. It should have been about time his new Master would be arriving.*

The Jedi Knight walked through the peaceful halls of the Temple Ossus. Each step in que with the last; never losing pace. He could feel his new Padawan reaching out through the Force. Though Rev himself was outside his range, he still hid his Force signature. The boy had great potential to become a Jedi Knight, perhaps even a Master. Though the Jedi Guardian preferred to keep that mentality, all of his students capable of reaching what seemed impossible.

Still hiding his Force signature he opened the door slowly. Dead silent he moved in not letting the door close yet behind him, maintaining secrecy. Crossing his arms it was then that Tyran would be thinking it was time for the Jedi Knight to arrive. Using the Force the door closed behind him with a soft click, the unpractical use would go against some of the Jedi Knights and Masters here in the Temple, though Rev was known for his almost 'rogue' mentality.

"Tyran is it? I'm sorry to hear of your previous Master and his inability to conclude your training. I will not be one to abandon a student, so I assure you, you will be a Knight in time."

He gave the boy a friendly smile before walking towards him. Pacing around him like a firaxen preparing to feast on prey he nodded at a thought.

"I can tell your previous Master has taught you some essential skills. Let me ask, do you know which class you are pursuing: Sentinal, Guardian, or Consular?"

Taking a step back Rev took in a breath before speaking one last time.

"Let me apologize Tyran, I'm Rev Nadill. If you haven't figured it out, I'll be training you."

He flashed the friendly grin one last time before awaiting the boys answers.

*Tyran's eyes slowly opened, memorizing the picture of his Master and the surroundings within his mind. His clear brown eyes stared right into the eyes of his Master, the pupils of Tyran's eyes moving quickly as his brain took the pictures and analyzed them at a staggering pace. It didn't take Tyran that long to size up his Master...but there was something odd about the situation itself. He couldn't feel his Master coming to the door until the door swooshed open.

Releasing the lotus position and standing up with one fluid movement, Tyran dusted his Jedi tunic quickly before bowing low before his newly appointed Master, eyes continually looking at his Master at all times. The mannerisms and behavior of his new Master was quite the opposite of his former Master. This would be a new and interesting experience to say at the least.*

"Good morning Master Nadill. I am in no such hurry to become a Knight without the proper procedures, teachings and other characteristics needed to be shown and taught before coming a Knight. However, I do not understand when you say 'what class am I pursuing.' What do you mean?"

"Good morning Tyran, it is a pleasure to see you here."

The Jedi Knight returned the bow to his apprentice. Smiling at the boys lack of knowledge on the Jedi classes, it came off as a good thing to Rev. That only meant that his former master didn't get too far into the training, he wouldn't have too many of his former master's teachings to interfere.

"Well as I had said Tyran, there are three classes. First there is the Guardian, this Jedi tends to use a bit more brute force and use of the blade and lightsaber to get the job done. They are by no means an attacker or enforcer, merely the Jedi that would rather resort to using his or her lightsaber over Force powers. The second is the Consular, the Jedi that is the polar opposite of the Guardian, if it were possible. They rely on that of the Force to get a job done, more diplomatic and wanting to use words than resorting to some forced diplomacy. Then finally comes the Sentinal, the middle of the road Jedi. Their job is simply to balance the two as best they can, they tend to be a aid at times using their powers to help their allies while they use their specialties. Should combat come to them, they can fall to their lightsaber and use it, or they can use the Force. Usually they sit back and feed their allies as I said though, battle meditation being a key Force power of this Jedi. It is a hard talent to master, but can change the outcome of battles... I'm sure you may not know which to follow, though if you have an idea we can embrace that and it will only help you in the long run should you follow that class."

Crossing his arms once more he closed his eyes thinking about some trainings for each class should the lad choose one.

*Tyran quickly ran through the ideas of the three Jedi classes: Guardian, Consular, and Guardian. Physically, Tyran lacked muscle and didn't really have brute strength or force to inflict upon anyone. In truth, Tyran found it horrendous that Jedi had a Guardian class; Tyran deemed Jedi who would use their lightsabers to handle most situations idiotic or violent.

A Sentinal class Jedi teeter-tottered between the Force and the lightsaber. Having both of those tools seemed very useful and balanced as a whole, but to Tyran, it seemed like sitting on the middle of the fence. Yes, there was always a "grey situation," but hell, people need to choose between "Yes," and "No." A Sentinal also was more of a support Jedi, which Tyran had no interest in pursuing. Although he loved helping people, as most Jedi would, the Sentinal Jedi seemed to have been only created for war --another thing that Tyran despised.

The last class was Consular. The Consular Jedi seemed to fit Tyran quite well. Focused on using diplomacy rather than brute-force, words were the key to solving issues these days, not bloodshed. The strength of the Force compensated for the physical aspects of Tyran. Overall, Consular worked well towards Tyran's advantage.*

"I choose the Consular class. It fits me well."

Rev nodded at the answer, it was indeed the one he was furthest from. Yet his abilities in the Force and knowledge of it would help his padawan, he was sure of it.

"It would seem we are on opposite spectrums then my Padawan..."

He let out a friendly laugh and smiled before walking over to the eastern wall, admiring the tan color it let off. Letting his gaze wander to the left, off the wall, he looked out the large window. The beauty of Ossus was just outside their grasp, through that window was an interesting and profound world. The boy would learn of it in his training, he needed to feel what the planet let off, see it, and adore it to truly become a Jedi.

"I have sensed your abilities in the Force Tyran, and you are surely no push-over. For a Padawan you have some abilities some Knights have not reached. I can sense your ability in Telepathy, and I have known Knights who were unable to perform such feats.. You have progressed greatly from a Hopeful I assure you. I will also promise you bigger and better things coming from the Jedi. We are peace keepers, not warriors, aggressors, or mongrels. You will hear many... many things from citizens of the Republic. Some adore us, wish to become Jedi, just like us. Others however, they will hate you, spit on you, wish your death. You must take the good with the bad my Padawan. Control your emotions and your feelings, and you will do alright; I can promise you that."

Rev gave a reassuring smile, one that held no sense of lie; it was the honest truth. At least in the Jedi Guardians mind.

"Now then, a Consular, much duty comes in this class. It is a rare one for most students to take. It shows a sense of strong will, I commend you for that."

Leaning against the window he set his hands on the edge of the tan brick that ran under it, it was time for some training.

"Now Tyran, to become a true user of the Force you must be aware of your surroundings, all while controling the Force. You must know your limits, though not fear testing them. Focus on the plant there..."

Pointing at the potted plant in the corner of the room Rev gave a subtle single towards the wall.

"Move it to the wall there, though you must move the table behind you as well. Move that to where the plant is now. This will tell me how far along you are, and where we shall go. Try not to look at the table Tyran, though focus on both objects. You may begin."

*Tyran listened to his Master's words carefully before carrying out the instructed task. Letting his fingers wriggle slightly, he tapped into the vast river of the Force, letting it flow through him like a calm river. Tyran then spread his range throughout the room, feeling the liveliness of both the plant and table.

From there, he measured the distance between himself and the two objects; the plant was about 50 yards away from him, and the table was about 40 yards. This wasn't going to be too difficult. Now, influencing the Force as his guide, the plant quickly floated into the air as it flew to the other wall at a normal pace. Controlling the plant with his right hand, Tyran's left hands started to make subtle gestures, fingers curling back and forth to draw the table closer to him to let the plant pass.

Plant whooshing by, the table moved barely enough to let the plant go by as Tyran halted his connection with the table and then finally placed down the plant. The beads of sweat had returned, and in greater quantities. Doing two things at once with the Force was extremely harder than Tyran expected. Multi-tasking on several occasions, this one required a whole lot more strength than anything else Tyran had attempted. He still had enough strength to continue though.*

"The table is 35 yards away from us, and the plant is 50 yards away from us Master."

Rev smiled, the boy was skilled, he would make a great Consular one day. Moving around behind him he placed his hands on the boys shoulders gently before whispering into his ear, at least that's what the boy would think. He spoke to him through the Force telepathy...

"Now Tyran, a harder task... these may seem pointless to you now, but I assure you they are not. They are building your tolerance to strain, that is one thing the Force will do to you. If you are not prepared to take a beating from it, then that is exactly what it will do to you."

Removing his hands from the boys shoulders he took a few steps back. Walking towards the wall that was at Tyran's back currently. Pushing the large doors that opened up to a balcony the wind began to blow in with a series of gusts. Speaking out loud this time around he would tell his Padawan the next exercise.

"As I said your environment is key, you will feel the wind pressing against you, it could be seen as an annoyance, or embrace it for the good of the situation. Nature can feed your 'power' in a sense. I seen you in the lotus position when I first arrived... do this again. Only now you will call upon the Force as you did before, instead you will not only control the table and planet, but yourself. Lift yourself, balance yourself, control yourself! Move the table and plant in front of you, one on top of the other. Do your best my Padawan, if you fail, I assure you, in time you will be fully capable of such a task."

*Tyran raised an eyebrow before sitting down to do the next task. Taking a deep breath and smelling that fresh air, Tyran exhaled slowly as he positioned himself into the lotus position. Placing his hands as he would in regular meditation, he began to regulate his breathing; with each breath, the Force swirled around him as nature felt his gentle touch.

With the Force flowing through him strongly, Tyran's beads of sweat started to turn into small rivers as the table and plant moved again. Telekinesis was a great Force Power to learn; from flashy parlor tricks to floating a lightsaber, moving objects always came in handy for any type of situation.

The table creaked forward before it lifted slightly above the ground and flew towards Tyran. The same situation happened with the plant, but the table arrived first. Right before the plant would crash into the table, Tyran hovered the plant upward as he placed it on the center of the table. Now, if he understood his Master correctly, he, too was supposed to float above the plant.

Heart pumping slightly faster than normal, Tyran began to lift off the ground, defying the laws of gravity with the Force. Eyes still closed, Tyran felt the plant at his feet as he just hovered above the two objects, breathing in and out to concentrate and guiding the Force to help him achieve his tasks while understanding the strains of the Force as well.*

"This is far more difficult than I imagined Master."

Rev smiled and looked to the doorway as a gust of wind swept through the training room. It was enough to make the leaves on the plant sway back and forth as nature had intended it to. Circling the setup Tyran had constructed Rev nodded in approval.

"The final task here, will be of coarse the most difficult Tyran. Remain up where you are, and put the two objects back in place... where they had first started from."

Smiling he took a step back and prepared himself to catch the boy in case he lost his focus. Should he fall, he'd be there to catch him, through the Force that is...

*Still breathing in and out slowly, the breeze grew slightly stronger as Tyran opened his eyes to see where he was. Floating on top of plants was indeed difficult, but the sight through the doors of the training area was beautiful. The lush vegetation were shaded in a myriad of colors, although most were primarily green. The fresh air aided in Tyran's next task as he did as he was told.

Guiding the Force through his will, Tyran kept hovering in the air the best he could as the table and plant began moving in the opposite direction to return to its original position in the room. It took longer than before due to Tyran's inexperience of using the Force at great lengths, but the objects returned to their positions and Tyran kept hovering in the air, sweating slightly but refreshed from the cool air touching his skin.

Now, the hard part was hovering in the same position. Tyran actually decreased in height when he pushed the objects back to their designated spots, but with a deep breath, Tyran pushed himself back up as the Force propelled him higher to his original height above the plant and table. This was more tiring than Tyran thought.*

"Finished Master..."

Smiling Rev gently clapped his hands together in congratulations to Tyran's feat. The Jedi Knight could almost sense the boy's powers growing before his eyes, he would find these tasks easy in no time.

"Good, very good Tyran, now, to further your abilities you shall remain as you are. Floating and in balance of yourself, you must focus as you have been to stay afloat. You lost some concentration during the last exercise, and that is why you decreased in height momentarily. I will throw these blocks into the air, your goal is to catch them before they hit the ground. Should they reach the ground though, your job is to get them back into the air. All while I am asking you basic questions... this will test your mind greatly, but I know you are capable."

Flashing the reassuring grin he walked around his Padawan, stopping behind him. This is where the first question would come from.

"Tell me Tyran, why is it you wish to be a Jedi..."

At the word wish one of the small blocks was lobbed into the air, just over Tyran's left shoulder. Should gravity take complete hold over it, it would hit the ground in front of the boy maybe a meter away.

Damn...more Force exercises...

*Tyran stayed afloat...letting the Force guide his thoughts and actions. Continuing the steady breathing rate and submitting his mind into happy thoughts, ignoring the pain, his connection to the Force did not tense up, but rather opened up. Tyran had let himself immerse into the pools of the Force, drawing upon its strength barely enough to keep the connection to the Force alive without delving too deeply to fall to the Dark Side of the Force.

As his Master spoke, Tyran felt a block lift from his Master's hands and go away from him. Right before the block launcehd off, Tyran could feel the connection with the block and himself. Once the object reached it's peak, Tyran timed the exact moment where the block and the floor would be 1 millimeter apart. Once that moment came, Tyran kept the block hovering at that same exact moment. With such a small distance between the block and the floor, it wouldn't take too much energy to keep the object hovering.

At the same time, he answered his Master's question.*

"I wish to become a Jedi because I know no other type of life. To protect the universe is my destiny and I embrace it fully."

Rev nodded at his comment, it made much sense, most of the men and women here would have given the same answer. The Jedi lifestyle was something you couldn't take a step away from, once you knew it, it was all you knew.

"Good, now open your eyes... look at Ossus and her beauty... tell me what do you see, what do you feel?"

Waiting a moment he tossed another block this one crossing in front of Tyan. The block flew quick and would not take long to hit the floor.

*Opening his eyes, Tyran took in the full beauty of Ossus within that moment and thought about it briefly. During his thoughts, he kept concentrating on hovering the 1st block in the back of his mind. As the second block hit its apex, Tyran immediately reached out with the Force and tracked its designated spot to trap with mathematics and sight as he repeated the process of keeping the 2nd block afloat like he did with the 1st block.

After this, he answered his Master. The concentration to keep himself hovering took a lot more than the blocks themselves, but the longer he could hold it, the better he would become regardless of the strain on his body and mentality.*

"Through one eye, I see the beautiful green and clear blue skies that fill today's atmosphere. The graceful wind, wherever it may go, runs east this fine morning, carrying bits and pieces of nature along with it. The animals roam peacefully, rivers flowing steadily, as nature had been recreated to man's pleasure for viewing.

With the other eye, I see the power of the Force - its almighty being flowing through every animate and inanimate object in my surrounding. The little threads that connect together through the Force are clearer today than any other. This is what I see through both eyes, Master."

Rev smiled Tyran was a bright boy, he was wise beyond his years. The Jedi Knight could almost feel the Force bond growing between the two, just by the simple conversations and subtle training they were having, it was odd, but welcomed.

"You explain what you see, what you feel with such... emotion, description... You are intelligent my Padawan. You will be a fine Consular I can promise you that. A wise decision it was to go the route you have chosen, and you will not faulter, I wont let you and I know you wont let yourself..."

Sliding the remaining two blocks into his cloaks pocket he wandered towards the open doors that looked out over the beauty Tyran had just spoken of. Rev turned on his heel and gave the boy a nod.

"I can sense your strain. Along with this I can sense your connection with the Force growing, I'm sure you can feel it as well Tyran."

Rev took his time talking, wanting the boy to take in the information, all while allowing his connection to grow.

"You may let go now, we'll be taking your training to the balcony now... We still have much to cover. Let me ask you though, what Force powers had your previous Master taught you?"

*Tyran immediately stopped hovering, letting the Force beneath him vanish as he dropped to the floor. The particles dispersed as the blocks still were floating every so slightly above the ground. The break of concentration of being in the air was such a huge relief as energy started to surge back into him. He had heeded his Master's words as he had said that only he could stop hovering and break the connection with the Force instead of the blocks themselves. As he walked towards his Master to reach the balcony, he quickly thought of the Force Techniques that Master Velvar had taught him.*

"I was taught Telepathy, Telekinesis, Sense, and Healing."

Rev nodded and looked down from the balcony, it was easily fifty feet to the forrest bed below them. It was time for Tyran to learn Force jump. Walking over to the ledge Rev climbed over the railing and stared back at Tyran.

"Force Jump is a Jedi technique you will see yourself utilizing quite often. Its a way of manipulating the area around you to hit the ground softly, or empower your legs and the area around you to carry you all that much further. As you practice it will become a second nature to you."

Pointing at the wall behind Tyran it lead to the roof of the Temple. Various ledges stuck out that would normally be impossible to reach. Though with the Force it would be easily obtained.

"Focus on your legs and leap to that ledge... once you reach the roof make your way back down to the balcony, and I'll teach you how to leap from extreme heights like this one... and hit as if you were jumping from a few feet."

"Yes Master."

*Tyran started off easy with a couple of practice jumps without the Force. He began to dig deeper and deeper within himself to get the right angle of his legs to jump the highest he could without using he Force. Once he knew how high he could jump without the Force, he began to focus on the Force particles around him, circulating his legs and then became concentrated right underneath the balls of his feet.

Bending his legs at a 120 degree angle to get the highest jump, Tyran launched upwards, and with the help of the Force, pushed him farther than any normal being could jump before. For several seconds, Tyran was up in the air before he realized that the landing would break his ankles if he didn't cushion the landing. With the Force aiding him, the particles underneath his feet spread out slightly as Tyran landed on the balls of his feet as the impact traveled up his legs and all the way his spine.

Learning how to break the impact from a landing through a video watched in class, Tyran instinctively wanted to roll as the impact spread throughout his body. However, Tyran realized that impact was barely nothing at all. The Force had cushioned his landing well and he was standing upright. With another couple practice tries of Force Jump, Tyran quickly made his way up the little ledges sticking out of the wall. Soon enough he was on the Temple rooftop, staring at his Master. It made him feel like a ninja jumping up the ledges or in other words, very sneaky-like.

Then, he went back down the ledges like running down the stairs. The Force smoothed his movements as Tyran appeared like a graceful sprinter, cutting through the air like a sharp sword but with enough balance to keep himself upright. With one last jump, Tyran skipped the last step and jumped towards the balcony, testing his newly taught power to his full ability. Tyran landed and barely made it as his feet touched the balcony slightly as he pushed his body forward to walk away from the end part.*

"That was amazing! But...how are we going to get from here to the roof? That's almost 35-40 feet upwards! That's some 4-5 stories."

Rev's eyes followed Tyran as he gracefully lept from one ledge to the next as if it were a cake walk. The boy knew what he was doing, and it was coming to him quite naturally it seemed. Rev's eyes stared right back up at the boy as he made his way back down as if the spacious ledges were a flight of stairs. Watching him plop down next to himself Rev gave the boy a smile.

"Very good, you're a natural... now a hard one."

Looking up at that large jump Rev took in a breath. He would see if his student could learn from simply visually watching, and sensing what was going on through the Force. Looking at the ground the Jedi Knight ran and jumped at the wall in front of him. Force pushing the air down as he reached the height of his jump he climbed the 40 feet as if it were nothing. Though it was possibly the largest leap the Knight had ever done, it was far from easy. Landing on the roof he looked down at Tyran and motioned him to follow.

"Your turn my Padawan!"
