"I'm... Not sure..." Heron heisitatly said, "I had no past dealings with death, so... I don't honestly know."

The padawan hoped that the two can move on, since the conversation about death has little foundation. Never had he felt the death of anyone close to him, nor the death of a comrade.

"Hmm...alright then. No use on dwelling on the subject if you can't interpret it. Now...use the Force...feel it...use it...let it help you feel the things within the room only through the Force."

*Kyle let the Force Particles acknowledge him as he guided them to throughout the vast room, leaving some in certain places to make out shapes and sizes of objects. Soon, he was using the power of Force Sense: the ability to feel and sense things through the Force without having to look at them.*

Heron did as he was told. The Force Sense started flowing through him, although not as quickly as Kyle. The concept of using the ability is not difficult, although it is obviously easier said than done for a new padawan.

"Can you feel the objects within the room? Can you feel the Force Particles within the matter of the room? Tell me what you feel."

*Kyle momentarily let his mind wander through the sight of the room as he felt the Force flowing through all the objects of the room, starting to slowly broaden his horizon and let the Force guide his spirit through the world.*

"I can only feel the physical structures in the room. Is there more that I am to sense, other than the Force?" Heron questioned.

*Kyle simple shook his head in disagreement. Heron had done well and had felt exactly what he needed to feel. The physical objects of the room were all contained by the Force, and the Force ran through living and non-living things. If he could feel them, then that would be the first step to understanding the Force.*

"No. You are doing well. Now that you have felt these objects and structures...what can you tell me about the Force? Why can you feel all these things without having to touch them physically?"

"The Force connects to them for me, and I simply asked it what there is," said Heron.

The padawan questioned himself about what his master asked. Is he some sort of prodigy?

"Good. So you asked the Force to show you these objects. Very good. But can you ask the Force to expand your sight to see what's around this room and outside of it?"

*Kyle could instantaneously expand Force Sense into a 50 yard radius like a walk in the park, but this wasn't about Kyle, it was about Heron. If Heron did understand the concept of feeling out objects through Force Sense, for all things contained the Force, then feeling out the objects in the surrounding rooms might be difficult, but still achievable.*

Can I see what there is beyond the walls of this temple?

Go ahead, came a reply.

Heron expanded his senses. It came slowly, but the radius grew more rapidly, soon stretching to 10, 15, 17, 23, 37, 45... Then it stopped.

"I can see beyond this location now, Master Kyle."

"Good. Now...you can sense these objects, but can you describe each object you see through the Force? Can you visualize each object the Force lets you sense?"

*As usual, Kyle always opened his lesson with two simple Force Powers, Force Sense and Force Sight. These two Force Powers were not only easy to learn, but always were good starters to open up training as well as interpretations to the Force and lightsaber creation and training.*

"I... Don't have the ability to do so yet," Heron said, shakily.

He did try, asking through the Force, but the reply was overwhelming.

*Kyle merely nodded as he sat in his meditation position, still unmoved or unshaken. The boy would learn Force Sight no doubt, but he only needed to open his mind to what he did not know so that he would be able to access the knowledge of many others to perform this task. Giving up wasn't exactly one of the traits of a Jedi, but frustration sure was.*

"It's alright Heron. Just use Force Sense to start feeling out the objects in this room, and once you have a mental picture of the object by feeling it out with the Force, then you'll see the Force within the object as well as the shape."

Heron tightened his concentration. "I see, Master."

The comment contains both truth, and pun. It might took a minute or two to figure out the length of how connected the padawan has to be with the Force, but it has paid off. It simply took to accepting the Force's words, except in sections, not the entire thing itself. Heron deducts that a better connection with the Force would speed up the process.

"Now Heron...can you see the shape of the object in the corner of the room right now? What is it?"

*If Heron had produced the right results, then he would be able to identify the object as a work-table. As Kyle breathed in and out slowly, he could feel Heron drawing the Force around him and the flow of the Force through his body. Heron believed that by opening his Force Channels that he would get better results, but in reality, it didn't matter whether the Force Channels were wide enough, but that he could feel the Force Particles around the object as well as within them to identify the object with his sense of touch and sight.*'

"Ahhh... Am I looking to 'see' some sort of table," asked Heron, maintaining his posture.

It took a good deal of concentration, and some time, but it, hopefully, paid off.

"Good...good. Now...can you describe the room? What fills the room that you see through the Force?"

*Heron could see the definition of the table, and that was the first step. Next would be the room, and the description of little Force Particles filling up the room, and then the trash pile of mechanical parts next to the worktable, and then possibly some scratches on the floor and wall of the room. Of course those would be much harder to discern, but Heron would work on it through meditation, and nothing could be impossible to achieve if hard work was put in.*

((Sorry, I thought I posted...))

Concentrate... thought Heron.

Minutes pass, and the padawan began getting frustrated. Ignore what's going on. Keep concentrating.

"Mechanical parts... I think," began Heron, "ah, a worktable - scarred from use."

ooc: no problem.

"Good Heron...good. It is hard to focus with venturing into the unknown isn't it?"

*Kyle knew that Heron was a bit hard-headed with the Force, since he was having a lot of difficulty opening his eyes to the Force and letting it become his guide in these tasks, but no worries. Most Jedi were like that when they started off, save a few talented ones, but compared to the many rest like Heron, they were 1 in a million. Heron was making excellent progress*

"Yes, Master Kyle," replied Heron. The answer was, in a way, programmed by the masters to their students. But Heron is not one of those students who follow every guideline a master gives to a padawan.

"Just Kyle, Heron...just Kyle. Now. I want you to let go of the Force in a way that you are not concentrating all of your mind on the Force, but rather just letting the Force pass smoothly through yourself, and then have the Force be concentrated in one certain spot, such as your eyes for Force Sight, and your mind so that you can be able to use Force Sense as well. It will be much easier to do that instead of using the Force to draw everything around you and try to sense things like that."

*Kyle was hopefully giving better suggestions to Heron so that he could adapt to the task at hand and make it easier on himself. After all, these were no easy tasks to complete, but doable at the least.*
