"Let go as in... Relax...?" asked Heron.

An honest question.

"Yes. Relax. The Force should not be forced to do things, or through anyone. It should flow fluidly and smoothly, just like a river."

*Kyle breathed in deeply and exhaled slowly. These simple steps to meditation also helped a whole lot when it came to accessing the Force and it's great vastness of power to do good in the galaxy, although there were always who used it for wrong.*

Heron nods - positive that his master can sense such a non-verbal gesture. He began letting go. Little by little, the padawan loosened the tensions that restrained him from his connection to the Force. He began seeing what concentrating with the Force really is - looking at something rather than thinking about it.

"Now Heron, what can you see?"

*Kyle could feel the Force disappate slowly around Heron, and at the same time, certain Force Particles stood out and shimmered from the rest, meaning Heron was only using a certain few to see what he needed to see. That was what today's lesson was. To discern what is needed from the pile of unwanted things.*

((Thanksgiving took up my time. Sorry))

"Are there tools missing from that worktable? I don't see a welder there," said Heron, his tone suggesting something of a joke.

"Ah...forgot that. You'll have to remind me about that when the time comes..."

*Kyle knew that the welder wasn't there because Heron would have to find his own welder and use it. Just because it was a worktable didn't mean there would be 'work' or the associated things on it. Now that Heron was able to see the things in the room, he should be able to expand his sight to see into the next room, using Force Sense and Sight.*

"Now that you can see the things within this room, try to expand your sight to the rooms next to us Heron."

Heron did as he was told, and soon, he began "seeing" distinct forms.

"The chambers next to us, one holds a master that is meditating. The other is looking through a pile of datapads."

"Good Heron. That will be enough for now. So tell me...what is the Force, and what are the concepts of the Dark and the Light Side of the Force. Why can only certain people use the Force?"

*Kyle believed that Heron had enough training for now and would have a little more for later, and then he would be ready to go on missions.*

"The Force is the the particles that are within everything that we know of - they are manipulated by those who are classified as followers of the light or dark. Practicioners of the Light Side are composed mainly of guardians of peace and justice, the Jedi, who use their abilities for the benefit of those who are less fortunate. The Sith are like the opposite side of the mirror - they are selfish in nature, and commit deeds to advance their personal goals. Certain people can use the Force because of a high midi-chlorian count, the sentient beings within one's body that are linked to the ability to use the Force."

"Good. Now recite the Jedi Code and relate the both the Light Side and the Dark Side of the Force with the Jedi Code to interpret it."

*Kyle would meditate on the boy's responses as he too would slowly figure out a training course for Heron. So far...he was a bit hard-headed at Force Powers, but he could be great at dueling. All to see in the future...*

There is no emotion; there is peace.
There is no ignorance; there is knowledge.

There is no passion; there is serenity.

There is no death; there is the Force.

"The Jedi holds to the beliefs of peace, knowledge, serenity, and existance of the Force. Emotion, ignorance, passion, and death - they all are factors that can corrupt a guardian, and ultimately fall to the dark side. Each set of factors is opposite of each other: inciting one's own emotions disrupts peace, ignorance to others is a lack of knowledge and understanding, passion clouds the way of serenity, and believing that one is truly dead does not accept the ways of the Force."

"That's a good way to put it, except the last line. There is really no death Heron. There is only the Force. When one dies, they join the Force and become part of the galaxy again. But very good interpretation. Now...please explain the conduct of the Jedi Code and then reiterate all that we have gone over."

*He hated to go over everything that they had just talked about, but it wasn't his idea. It was the Jedi standard to put an enormous influence on Jedi Philosophy, Conduct, and understanding of the Force or else Padawans would be running around wildly testing their abilities with the Force. Although Kyle wouldn't really mind self-tests, it seemed absurd to put so much emphasis on understanding the Jedi Way. Sometimes it came with experience more than just explanations.*

((haha... I never really tried interpreting the Code in real life... Just the obvious stuff >.> *Weighed down by noobish thoughts*. And I’m running out of excuses…))

He thinks about the new question that his master asks of him to answer, since he is not much of an interpreter when it comes to such philosophical things. After placing everything together, the padawan begins.

“The conduct of the Code applies to our actions in regards to both ourselves and others. We apply it to ourselves as we meditate: extracting and putting ideas and events together. We apply it to others by passing our knowledge and serenity through consoling and other verbal methods.”

“We went over the Jedi Code and its relevance to both sides of the Force. More elaborately, the connections the Jedi and the Sith hold with the Code. Also, we talked about the practitioners of the Force themselves.”

"Good. The Code is more of the Jedi 'Bible,' or the rules of which Jedi live by. And now that you know about the Force, relate all of the lines of the Code to the Force itself. Why has the Jedi decided to live by these words? Most Jedi tell others that they live by the Force, but now you know that Jedi live by the Code. So why do they say they live by the Force, but in truth, they follow the Code?"

*More philosophy, and two more Force Powers. Then he would give him a training lightsaber for the time being as he would go on missions. That would boost this boy's experience of the Force and lightsaber combat. It would help him understand concepts quicklier and become more adept in both the Force and the art of dueling.*

"Every line of the Code originates from the Force: Peace, Knowledge, Serenity... All that the Force is, and will be, for future Jedi to know.

"The Force and the Code are both connected. The Jedi live by the Code, which is descended from the Force itself. Hence, the Jedi live by the ways of the Force."

"Good. Now that you have an understanding of the Force...try pushing this bubble on the floor."

*Kyle laid down a gel bubble on the floor and waited for Heron to attempt to Force Push the ball. The concepts were simple, but if one did not understand the Force, then he or she could not push the ball.*

"Of course," replied Heron.

He reaches out a hand towards the gel. The padawan, from his understanding, connects to the gel through the Force. At first, there was nothing. Then the bubble started moving, as though slidding on the ground. Its speed accelerated, directed to circle the ground in between the two Jedi. Taking the extra step, Heron asked through the Force to lift the gel. It slowly spirals upwards.

The bubble slowly fell apart. Its speed decreases as Heron concentrates more on keeping the gel bubble from making a mess, lowering the object to the ground. When the padawan "released" the gel, it was nothing more than a blob on the floor.

"Good. Now...pull it around us."

*Kyle then nodded his head for Heron to attempt Force Pull. Kyle wasn't amazed that Kyle could do Force Push, but Force Pull was completely different. The concept was easy...but with the Force...was something more than what words could accomplish.*

Nodding, Heron began concentrating again on the gel, this time using two hands. He split the gel apart, rather slowly, and instructed the gel, through the Force, to circle the two Jedi again. This time, some of the gel remained on the polished floor of the chamber, the rest being pulled up. Heron bites his lip as the gel slowly formed a dome, engulfing the two within it.

A little more...

*Kyle watched carefully as Heron split the ball in half and watched it slowly roll towards Heron. It seemed like he was having a whole lot more trouble with this Force Power, which isn't out of the ordinary, but if Heron was creative and thought about it, then he would be able to figure out the idea and concept to Force Pull.*
