Heron looked at the droid, raising his lightsaber in a defensive posture, unlit. After a moment of scrutinizing, the lightsaber whined as it was activated. As the training blade extended from its hilt, Heron leaped forward, aiming to remove his mechanical adversary's weapon.

However, the bipedal droid reacted with similar speed, and blades clashed. Heron leaped back as the droid swung aggressively. A frontal attack would not work here.

Seeing only one other option, Heron glided back towards his opponent. Instead of striking right there, he starting taking advantage of his dexterity to maneuver swiftly around the droid. A vertical slice from the floor up disconnected hands from wrists, and the droid's lightsaber clattered to the floor, its safety feature activating to deactivate the training blade.

*Kyle watched as Heron attempted his first disarm, and it wasn't bad. Too much movement, but the concept wasn't bad. He might have to draw blood to disarm someone, but hopefully, he wouldn't have to. The swipe upwards was quite interesting, in fact. He let the droid come in first before he attempted the move. So Heron was a counter-fighter. Not bad, but there wasn't much leeway for that.*

"Good. Try to cut down on the big movements. Precision is the key. Don't waste any more effort than you have to. Try again."

*This time, Kyle called out another droid as the first one walked right back to the wall and disappeared. The second droid looked extremely similar to the first one, but Heron would have noticed the Level 2 imprint near the droid's upper body*

This time, Heron used a somewhat riskier tactic. He waited for the droid to make its move, then rushed inside the swing with a burst of speed, and used the motion of the training droid against it. Although elbowed in the chest (which took some of the padawan's breath away) by the mechanical training equipment, the result was the same.

*Kyle raised his eyebrow slightly. That was interesting enough. He took a hit this time to get the same result. How odd. The idea of the drill was to disarm, but did he really need to take the hit?*

"Good Heron. But did you really need to get hit to disarm the man? Try side stepping, or anything else you can think of."

*Kyle's eyes were still mesmerized by Heron's movements, and could only repeat the same sequence in his head. However, because of his special ability, he could perform numerous ways of disarming the man without having a care in the world to do so.

Another droid stepped out and the disarmed droid went back into the wall. This time it was level 3*

An idea popped into Heron's head. If the new droid was about to attack the way he thinks it would, then he could try it out. The padawan nods to acknowledge his master's words. He settled into a slightly more aggressive stance than his previous times and waits for the droid to make the move. When it did, it performed a horizontal slash. Exactly what Heron wanted.

He channeled the power of the Force into his feet, leaping over the attack, and dipped the tip of his blade into the path of the training droid's wrists. The timing was not perfect: he only managed to sever one wrist. It clattered to the floor, and the droid turned around to face its opponent.

"Not bad, but your opponent is still standing. Must all answers be difficult, or can you find simpleness and perfection through on movement?"

*Heron was getting flashier and more into training by the minute, but he had taken Kyle's words the wrong way. He did not need to bump up the flashiness level and think of more complicated ways to disarm, but rather look backwards and find something simple to disarm the droid. It was all simple logic, but could Heron find the simple answer?*

Heron lowered his blade. "I see."

He originally thought the droid was meant for his use of the lightsaber, but he took the whole thing the wrong way. The padawan raised a hand, urging the Force to reverse the polarization of the gears that work the droid's hands, and the training lightsaber fell to the floor.

"That's one way to do it! Not bad! Using your head I see. But, this time, use one movement to disarm the droid with your lightsaber, not the Force. That will be taught later."

*That was something new. The boy had disarmed the droid through the Force, and well, it worked at the least. But it took too long as well as mentally time consuming and wasting energy. All he had to do was let the droid swipe and then he would side step and slash, or clash lightsabers and use one fell swoop to cut the droid's wrist off.*
