Yeah I've been pointing that out in pm. Our equality based orders entire command structure is going to be Sith and former Sith. All of our npc force users are Sith. 10 of our 11 total force users are Sith and former Sith.

We have a serious lack of balance.

Well, to be fair, this Order has been framed as a re-founding of an ancient offshoot Sith society from the beginning. It even says that the founder, Braden's character, had to travel to Dromund Kass to even find out about it. Thus it is not entirely unreasonable to believe that the majority of its membership will initially be Sith or those who have/had some sort of connection to the Sith.

It would be impractical to consider the inclusion of Jedi - NPC or otherwise - from the beginning as their knowledge about the Order would need to have come from first hand experience. And since the Revanites are still as of yet largely cloistered from the wider galaxy, their membership will not be quite so diverse until they can begin actively disseminating their beliefs beyond the borders of the Imperium.

I guess, but given the current state of the galaxy this isn't the best time for a Sith dominated order to try to set up, I was hoping for at least 1 other non Sith to help me with making contact with potential non Sith recruits.

I'm trying to make it clear though. Being comprised of former Sith does not make them Sith. Yes both IC and OOC people won't get that right away but it's through the actions of the order that people will see their differences

These non sith force users can be reached by multiple means. I can see a jedi fighting one of us thinking we are sith then to discover who we are and be influenced into the order. And plus we are very secretive at the momen and without the sith this order couldn't have existed.

Except our actions are secret, so all people have to go on is what they're told by people they'll consider to be Sith and Sith are not known for being trust worthy.

No Jedi in the galaxy will believe a Sith when he tries to say he's not really a Sith or evil though, the Sith are in the process of trying to wipe them out he'll believe it's a trick. So I'd have to do the persuading hence the wish for at least 1 other non Sith. Somebody a Jedi could believe rather then hate instantly.

Neither are Jedi, or most people who are aware that they are more powerful than another

Jedi are seen as warriors of light and good people trying to bring about freedom. Sith are genocidal monsters, not the best opinion to be associated with.

And as things stand I'm the only one should could persuade a Jedi or really any light side force user to join an order controlled by what to then will still be Sith.

Just my opinion, but that wouldn't be much of a Jedi if they were that quick to jump to such hasty conclusions. Granted there is an easily perceptible history of mistrust and betrayal between the Jedi and the Sith - a history which the Jedi kick started, mind you, but that's another discussion all together - but I would seriously question the scruples of any Jedi who jumped to sentiments such as hate when encountering someone who could potentially be a Sith.

A little suspicion is only well and good, obviously; a Jedi has every right to question the word of a Sith. But that's an awfully narrow minded view for any Jedi to hold if their natural response to the phrase "I'm not a Sith" is "Nah, you're a liar and I hate you. DIE!"

Rather trounces all over the image of "warriors for good and justice".

Well unless they lie which isn't the best start to a relationship then the former Sith would have to admit to being a former Sith and I doubt a Jedi will trust them after that. They're at war right now, would you trust that the person your trained to believe is your enemy is telling you the truth? Or expect him to be trying to trick you to gain an advantage.
The two sides have been trying to wipe each other out for how many tens of thousands of years after all.

At present I'm the only one who can realistically try to bring in Jedi.

Maybe rather than make my character a rogue Sith Acolyte, I could make him a Jedi that went rogue after the fall of the Alliance and the splintering of the Jedi Order, becoming a Dark Jedi remaining underground, preferring to not take part in the war; eventually discovering the Order of Revan.

Well the only problem I think you guys are missing is the state the Jedi are in right now, they are barely surviving as is and with the Sith everywhere many would not hesitate to strike down someone using the darkside, if you don't use the darkside around them and used the light than they would be more relaxed and understanding but the fact remains that the sith have been known to use tricky and in a galaxy were a sith could simply hide himself easily an with a war going on the Jedi are kind of on edge. Though that is not to say the Jedi wouldn't listen just that they would be hesitate since many that preached they were on the good side have betrayed them look at the clone wars that is a perfect example as to why the Jedi would be conflicted in trusting you guys but this is just my opinion and wanted to say it.

A Jedi that went underground would be nice, how would Jedi react to a dark Jedi?

When we meet any Jedi I'll have to be the one to introduce the order. A Matukai they'll trust. Some Mafioso joined the Jedi and we're well known for being enemies of all things dark so Jedi would trust us.

That's rather part of the point though, isn't it? The Jedi train their Padawans to be naturally mistrusting of anyone who shows even the slightest inclinations of treading down questionable avenues of thought. Even so, blind paranoia does not serve a Jedi and should not guide them in their decisions - ideally speaking, of course.

All I'm saying is, have a little faith that there might be some Jedi out there who wouldn't jump to the saber the second someone mentioned the word Sith. The Order may be weakened, and they may be hunted by the Sith, but that by no means justifies blind aggression every time someone mentions the word Sith. If anything, it should engender caution.

Also consider that the Revanites are isolated from contact with the Jedi at present. They are nestled in an old Sith temple on Dromund Kass, deep in the heart of Imperial territory. The only feasible way any member of the Order of Revan could possibly meet a Jedi would be to venture beyond the safety of Imperial space. In a very real sense, it is the Revanites who would have more to fear from meeting a Jedi than a Jedi to fear meeting a Revanite.

Well the rest are I'm not. I'm travelling around a lot for my Matukai training and work. I won't be at the temple very much. So at least if anyone does meet a Jedi it'll probably be me and won't end up as a fight.

So, after reading and rereading, I have gathered a few thoughts. As a player who has been here for quite some time, I will tell you that the Jedi on this site are not as quick to draw on the lightsaber as might be expected. They are also not as zealous in their pursuit of the eradication of the Dark Side as you might expect. There is also a significant number of them that harbor grey mentalities. On another note, Xanthus himself is a good acquaintance of two Jedi Masters and several Jedi Knights, despite most of the above knowing that he is ex-Sith and a conscious wielder of the Dark Side. What I am getting at is that the Jedi Order aren't all that militant as a whole and that anyone could reasonably draw a lightsider into the Revanites with patience.

Can't say that makes any kind of sense to me buy I look at things from weird points of view generally so it often doesn't. But it does mean I can avoid recruiting work which I'm happy for.

Well its nice to see we are causing a lot of conversation. Seems like I have a few points to chime in on.

@Caine with regards to the over Sith bias, this is to be honest unavoidable, the fact that Braden is a Sith to begin with means that the NPC's are naturally going to be Sith as that's all he has access to until the Order is further set up. Again IC'ly characters which would have met Braden for him to introduce them to the order are going to be more than often Sith due to him also being part of the order. I also believe IC'ly Sith characters are more willing to 'Repent' and join an order such as this than Jedi going the other way.

For Jedi joining us, firstly the Jedi are on the Run and not openly prancing around the galaxy so they will be hard to find initially anyway. Secondly they are not going to openly know they are Sith straight away unless we start shooting lighting and given them evil yellow/red eye stares. Which is something the Order wouldn't really do unless we are confronted by someone. Without openly shouting that we were Sith I don't think a Jedi would jump to the conclusion. The same as you can walk past someone on a street and their a convicted felon you wouldn't know unless they done something.

And anyway we are not Sith, we are Revanite's.

@Aleksandr That probably would help in a few missions if he was an ex-jedi. He doesn't have to specifically go dark he could be a Grey Jedi until he finds the order as we are more Grey than light or dark anyway.

I am hoping that after the first one or two missions which would be building up resources for the Dromund Kaas base, the next ones would be to find some Jedi artefacts to help teach us some more of the light until we get some Jedi characters.

In terms of balance with non/force users, at the moment I am going to balance this out with NPC's until we get more members.

Hope I got everything.

Something to consider also would be moving the base or making another base other than Dromund Kaas, as gaining Jedi would probably be easier if we weren't camped in the Sith's backyard.

That is definitely a plan in the future. The reason I chose dromund kaas is that's where the orginal order was from. Though I would like to open a second enclave if we ever grow that large before the reset.
