The Caves of Ossus (Ask)

[Trakon]

"Come then and allow us to take revenge for what you have down." Osman stood there waiting for the girl to attack. Then he heard it.
"Come you will join us, and learn the strength of the Dark Side." It was the old man's voice in his head. And he may have started to listen to it.

 

[Ols]

The man retorted, "Revenge? That's not very Jedi of you. Attack them, my dear." The girl lunged forward at Osman, her face blank and still glazed. She spoke, her voice in an eerie monotone, "You must obey...or else he'll do terrible things." At the same time, the man raised his hand and slammed Osman into the far wall. He was powerful, as much as any Knight of the Jedi, and the girl certainly was talented too, but not as much as him. She began to fight with Osman, testing his defense more than any robot. Were it not for her flesh, though, it would have been hard to tell she was not. She was so obedient and unemotional. It was unnerving. Before Amy could rise, the man drew his own lightsaber, this a deep shade of crimson and he advanced on her.

 

[Lavi]

She waited patiently as the distance between herself and the dark master shortens, remaining wearily conscious of possible use of the Force. Osman was already in a relatively poor position, considering he faced a double-front by two force-users of unknown potential. But the human padawan could not lend her aid to her companion: danger that awaits her; danger that she must confront for the two's sake.


When the dark master's blade approached her own, Amaterasu allowed her eyes to close, placing herself within the focus of the Force, and the Force guided her counter. Her defense, followed by a counter, moved with such speed that it seemed that a sliver of green light was floating in the air before her.

 

[Trakon]

The girl came at him and began to attack. Osman became a eye in a storm such was her attacks. Osman controlled his fury not allowing himself to come in the way. Defense was all he thought of nothing else. But his force senses did wander to Amy wondering what had become of her. Osman did think about using the Force but he was already busy fighting for his life and potentially Amy's.

 

[Ols]

The man laughs as he launches into a whirl of attacks against her. His eyes glow menacingly in the bathe of light offered by the lightsabers. As he kicks her back he turns to the nautolan and raises his hand, picking him up in the Force and smashing him into the far wall. The lightsaber of the nautolan falls from his grasp and settles itself on the dark floor. Mid fight with the girl, he orders his accomplice, "Kill the fishy," he shouts, "cut off his head." The girl moves forward to do it, as the Nautolan finds his lightsaber in the blackness. She poises, ready to strike, strangely hesitant. Her body is offensively positioned, but her face is a struggle. She seems to be wrestling in her mind. And as the man's concentration wanders, she seems to be getting more control. She manages to speak, not in her monotone, but in an emotional voice, tinged with sadness and anger.

"No!", she yells, but the man realises she has fought and quickly reclaims his power over her. Her face glazes over and she raises her sword to the nautolan.

 

[Lavi]

Although thrown back, Amaterasu was far from defeated. She watched, her eyes showing awe as she watched the scenario between the two dark Jedi. Quickly summing up and concluding her observations, Amaterasu held up a hand and Force Pushed the dark master, aiming more to distract than to injure, so that she can re-enter the fray.

 

[Trakon]

As the girl was about to attack Osman force pushed her away. He then pulled his lightsaber to him and got up waiting for the girl to attack.

 

[Ols]

((Not exactly what I had in mind...but I'll work with it :) ))

The elder dark one raises his own hand and manages to absorb enough of the push that he only is pushed back a meter or so. The girl, however, is not as strong, although the nautolan is only a padawan, and she is pushed through the air about five meters, managing to land unscathed, crouched. She brings her lightsaber to bear, but under guidance from the man, launches herself at the human padawan, her face still glazed and with a far off expression upon it. Her attacks furious in contrast. The man turns now to the nautolan and raises his hand, sending a stream of lightening at him, flickering through the air and momentarily illuminating the cave.

 

[Lavi]

((Sort of god-mod, but I hope you do not mind.))
Her concentration is close to her maximum potential. As many Soresu wielders say, she is within the "Eye of the Storm" - a feeling of calmness in a vicious duel. Time seemed to slow as Amaterasu parried attack after attack, patiently waiting for the opening to come. One presented itself, giving her the opportunity to flick her lightsaber and sever the saber's emitter.

Instead of going for a killing blow, Amaterasu held her lightsaber steadily angling it so that she could deflect a sudden attack from the apprentice's master.

 

[Trakon]

Osman deflected most of the lightning being hit for almost a full 10 seconds with some of it. During that period all Osman could see was power, strength higher before anything he had felt before. But he had to stop it and he deflected it.

"So is that what a dark side user is made of? A few fancy tricks?"

 

[Ols]

((Adenn, in future take some of the hits, you're a padawan not a master. You can't just decide to deflect lightening mid-shock and then get up and fight like nothing has happened...it's a powerful electric shock, causing internal burns and stuff, and it won't empower you. And Lavi...next time just disarm them, rather than destroying the weapon...but it's fine to be honest. They're only NPCs))

"You make it sound as if the dark side is some kind of drug," says the master in a cruel voice. Then turning to the girl on the floor he walks over to her and kicks her. "Up! Now!" he said. She remains on the floor however. It seems the padawans were breaking through, and her concentration was enough for her to fight him. She sobs on the floor, "NO!". He spits on her and raises his hand sending her flying into the far wall. He then looks at the two padawans, "Now, this game ends!" He raises his left hand and sends a wave of lightening at the girl, electryfying her and she screams in pain, writhing on the floor. He turns to the Nautolan and wrenches his lightsaber in the Force. He catches it and pocks it, grinning with malice. He looks at the two padawans, one armed and one disarmed. He raises his accomplice, once again obeying him and sent her, unarmed, against Amaterasu. He then turns to the Nautolan and fires another bout of lightening at him. If he carries on, soon he will kill the padawan. And the girl is under his spell, but his defenses are down

((Go with this...neither of you will die and you'll get your lightsabers back...you just have to pass the test...this is part of your training remember.))

 

[Lavi]

Her eyes widen as the dark master sent his apprentice to attack her. She flung her lightsaber to the side, coincidentally towards Osman, and engaged herself in hand-to-hand combat. Both fought with the aid of the Force, the apprentice attacking far more than the padawan. Amaterasu became aware that a hand-to-hand based Soresu would not work in her current situation: her limbs were getting sore from the constant defending. A situation in which she could perish, without doubt.

 

[Trakon]

Osman was on the ground withering. But he saw Amy being attacked and getting tired. Although he was getting shocked endlessly Osman felt a solace in the Force. He felt no pain but his body spasmed nayways. He summoned as much power as he could and began to try and stand up.

 

[Ols]

The strange man stops his onslaught on the nautolan, his body gently smoking on the floor, his chest rising slowly and then falling rhythmically with his breathing. He does not notice the girls lightsaber, on the floor, near Osman. He then, again, changes his attack, pulling the girl away from the female padawan, and launching an assault of lightening against her unarmed form. The nautolan would have to defend himself against the unarmed girl, and the man's flaws are obvious. He suffers greatly from hubris, ignorant of the lightsaber on the floor, and does not think to raise a defense should the nautolan fight past the girl and attack him. But he will have to hurry, the padawan can only take so much.

[Lavi]

((Post is a bit lame, but what can one do when being electrocuted?))

Amaterasu could not react in time to the Force Lightning, even with a shrill warning from the Force. Two seconds of the electrocution was all she could endure before crying out in pain.

 

[Trakon]

Osman woke with a start and noticed the girl about to attack him but he felt a lightsaber near bye and reached out with the force and picked it up. He got up slowly and as the girl attacked him he lashed out neatly cutting off her hands. Then to make sure she wouldn't attack him or Amy he force pushed her to the rock wall. She hit it and was knocked unconscious. Osman then jumped in front of the lightning halting Amy from being hurt.

"Get out of here Amy tell Corina of what has happened." Osman was trying to hold his own against a almost endless lightning streak.

((I hope that is what you had planned sorry if it isn't.)

 

[Ols]

((I hadn't planned for you to do anything specific...there is an end result I want...and you're being assessed on each part. Lavi, don't flee, Osman's lightsaber is perfectly force pullable from his pocket. Please don't knock characters unconcious though...))

The girl slowly pulls herself to her feet, groggily looking about. She sees the man trying to electrify the padawans. He raises his other hand and pulls the nautolan away from the human, this time yanking her towards him in the Force. He holds her by the neck in one hand, his strength aided by the Force. He takes little notice of Osman on the floor behind him and again his hubris gets the better of him, as he whispers to her, "Do you fear death?" He draws a knife from his pocket. His accomplcie shudders and looks around, her face glazed strangely, no knowing what to do.

((Ftr...I'm not going to keep saying the man's defenses are down...this is your third and last chance!))

 

[Lavi]

The smell of smoked leather assaulted Amaterasu's senses as she fell to her knees, gasping for the wonderful air as Osman took the rest of the Force Lightning. Her mind was numb, which she soothed through the Force, to regain her senses and train of thought. The words of Osman were not registered, dazed by the power of the dark side.

Do you fear death?

For a moment, she thought the words were directed at her, when her cleared senses guided her to the proper scenario: the apprentice. The padawan's eyes laid themselves on Osman's lightsaber. The use of telekinesis through the Force allowed Amaterasu to quietly retrieve the weapon. She got to her knees, and charged towards the dark master, igniting the weapon as she approaches. Her first priority was to rescue the apprentice, neutralizing the master was second.

 

[Trakon]

Osman got up quickly and seeing Amy go for the apprentice Osman went towards the master, trying to cut off his hands to release the apprentice and help Amy a little bit.

((I am still confused o_0))

 

[Ols]

((I thought I said that the master was holding the Jedi padawan...never mind.))

The master held his apprentice in an iron grip, breathing heavily as he brought his knife to bear. As he did the slightest nudge in the Force made him drop the apprentice and the knife and spin round in shock, his body open and his eyes surprised, finally let down by his hubris. He stared, his eyes widening and he reached for his own lightsaber, but surely the padawans were too close now.
