But if you don't want to deal with the cultural aspects, you could've just made a merc Indie faction and likely been successful. .-.

That's not what I was going for... Otherwise I would not have posted those write ups. I like Mandalorians as much as anyone else, but I'm not gonna start talking in their language in the OOC areas and want to go into such deph that we have our own calender and banking system and the like.

Someone else wants to do that, then by all means. You don't need to be a hardcore person to lead a faction.

As you say. Just s'long as it's not a horribly shallow version of the Mandos running around.

As have others have said. It's really going to depend though on the Think Tank though if I'm going to be leading them still or not.

Orly?
That may be your personal opinion, and it's a very biased one at that. You have no way of knowing* that so you shouldn't even say something like that because it can offend people. If you would have apologized and stated that it was only your opinion, we would have been okay. Next time, maybe you should do that.

Blah, I get you though. :D That jus' stung :CCry2

I was jokin'. :) Though Rezin would be a decent Mandalore. ^^

What people have forgotten is that the Mandos are people and should act like people. Even the Mandalore, who isn't a 'God Cometh In Mortal Coil' as some people seem to think(not naming who ~.~).

Eh, whoever gets Mandalore spot after the Big-Wigs are decided should remember not to assume everyone will follow just because of a title - the individual is who they'll follow.. and if that individual makes choices that could harm the Mandalorians as a whole, they will take action against them and find someone better. So I'm just hoping people remember that. ~.~

P.S. Loco for Mandalore. :CHappy Bloo for Mandalore if Loco isn't chosen.

My vote would be for Corden or Loco, personally.

As cool as that would be, and thank you both, I'd have to turn it down. I don't have the time to devote (or at least, I likely won't soon)to the running of the faction to be fair to the members.

Keep in mind this hasn't all been some giant attempted coup. Phil has done a fine job bringing us this far a Faction leader, even if we have some serious differences with Mandalore. He hasn't been impeached, he hasn't lost interest and stepped down, and he hasn't been forcibly removed from office- most other factions have been forced to make sometimes difficult changes, and we've thus far been spared that. Our differences are pretty much just IC related stuff, and it is admittedly all in the details that I realize not everyone wants to abide by. So don't be too hard on the guy :)

P.S., Bloo- Mandalore Mitya would probably make peoples head explode :D

The rank structure has been a reoccurring theme in this thread and those in the past, so I figured I would go ahead and present my idea on the matter to get everyone's take on it. I think it makes much more sense on a cultural level than the current system.

1. Mand'alor bal Al'ori'ramikade (Mandalore and Leader of the Supercommandos)

2. Alor (clan leader; the alore serve as advisers to the Mand'alor on clan matters and the war effort, and also assist in managing logistical/economical operations)

3. Al'akaan (war leader; equivalent to a general; often commands multiple alor'ade during a specific campaign or key engagement; there are usually no more than three at any given time)

4. Alor'ad (captain; equivalent to a real world colonel; often commands several vessels during naval engagements; considered an al'akaan when leading a major battle group, fleet, or other large task force; commands two al'verde) 12 NPCs

5. Al'verde (commander; equivalent to a real world major; often commands a cruiser, carrier, or destroyer during naval engagements or an element of one-hundred and sixty to three-hundred and twenty warriors during surface engagements; commands two ver'alore) 10 NPCs

6. Ver'alor (lieutenant; equivalent to a real world captain/1st lieutenant; often commands a single corvette, frigate, or light cruiser during naval engagements or an element of forty to eighty warriors during surface engagements; commands four ruus'alore) 8 NPCs

7. Ruus'alor (sergeant; often commands an element of twenty warriors during surface engagements or a single dropship, gunship, or light corvette during naval engagements or planetary invasions) 6 NPCs

8. Alor'uus (corporal; the most experienced and skilled warrior, second only to the sergeant he or she is serving under; often commands a team of four to eight warriors) 4 NPCs

9. Verd (a skilled warrior and veteran of at least one battle or campaign) 2 NPCs

10. Verd'ika (a young, untested warrior who has yet to participate in a battle, but has passed his or her verd'goten and is considered an adult; usually around thirteen to fifteen years old unless recently adopted into the culture at an older age) 1 NPC

Did you even read the thread? :CAbove

"No brainer" is a silly way to look at it, because it's not actually stated specifically anywhere in Mandalorian lore that the Force is "bad". Explanation and discussion as to why the Mandos don't approve of it is better then a flat no, with no explanation to back it up. Your first post did nothing to add to the thread, and didn't even really answer the OPs questions. And I can't even hardly make sense of this post, except for the end, which only serves to show that you didn't really read much, if anything, of what we've discussed.

I read the thread, but last time I really became involved with what the Mandalorians were doing, everything ended up becoming stalled beyond belief.

Looks like were still at this point about some things.

Though part of that reason this time is due to waiting on the Think Tank rather than an impasse between Corden and Phil.

I realize that about the Think Tank, but I can't remember how far back it was started.
