"No Shit!" spat Dol as he fired a shot at one guy, getting a glancing shot on one guy who immediately started shooting at the table Dolworth was hiding behind, "There are two things I'm immediately regretting right now!" he said over the comms calmly to River, "That I didn't bring my rifle, and I didn't that i didn't bring grenades!" he spat again, "Oh and note to self!" he spat a third time, "Whenever I seen Benny, kick him in the-"

BING! he was cut off by a blaster shot bouncing off his helmet, making him stop talking before aiming. He fired a shot, cleaning through a gap in one of the men's armor and shooting him through the neck. The man went down quietly as the others finally thought it was a good idea to take cover.

"Tell me you have grenades?!" he asked as he checked himself, getting ticked that he left them back on the Mistress, why oh why didn't know you listen to Adenn and take the damned things?! he thought to himself.

As the Solus railed on her comms, screaming all manner of obscenities and complaints, Song was busy trying to survive. She crawled her down the bar, shoving aside the cowering bartender who was cradling a bottle of fine whiskey. Blaster shots continued to rain onto the bar: shattering glass, spilling alcohol, splintering wood.

If I had grenades, I’d have already used them by now!” Song said to the other Mandalorian, waiting for the right opportunity to strike back.

Then the idea hit.

She turned to the bartender and grabbed the bottle of liquor in his hand. The man resisted a second, but when she flicked her blaster at him, he slunk away. Quickly, she popped the cap off. Rather than drink it, as she might’ve in any other occasion, Song found a cloth and stuffed it into the bottle.

Next, she got the lighter.

It wasn’t long before she a fiery concoction in reach, the cloth lit by one of the many tiny fires started by the blaster shots, which she hurled over the bar and onto one of the armored men, who shrieked as he was engulfed in, literally, burning whiskey.

That’s one,” she said, before crawling over to find a better vantage point.

Dolworth watched as the dude went up in flames, a grin forming across his face as he looked over at River, "You sir are a diabolical genius!" he said with an enthusiastic tone, "Oh you would be right at home with the crew I'm with!" he chirped as he counted only two left, "Go out the back and flank em!" he said over a private comm to her helmet, "I'll cover you!" he said as he started blatantly popping up, firing several shots at the thugs to draw their fire.

Diabolical genius. Now, that was something she hadn’t been called before, and it was a name she certainly wasn’t complaining about.

Thanks,” she said, scrambling to the bar’s exit in an effort to get around the crossfire and into a good flanking sot. “And that must be quite the crew you got!

But I prefer to strike out alone.

As the Solus drew the enemy fire, that was when she made her move. She dashed out of her cover behind the bar, speeding like an arrow through the opening her vod had given her. She should have raised her blaster and fired, but Song had something else in mind. Instead, she moved to close the space between them.

With her jump boots.

Song launched forward and slammed her armored foot into one man’s chest, sending him flying back into another table. Though she landed hard one knee, she quickly rose up with her vibroblade in her hand. Swiftly, she flashed it across the second man’s thigh, whose shock turned into pain. Then, she finished him off with a clean punch to the jaw, knocking him out cold to the floor.

She dusted off her shoulder. "Easy."

Dolworth watched as River knocked the remaining Thugs to the ground, grinning from beneath his helmet, "Well Done! Truly you are the pride of Clan Wren!" he said as he picked Yolanda up from his sleeping hideaway. Without another word Dolworth began going over the thugs. The ones that were dead he laid out on to the ground next to the bar and the ones that were still alive he cuffed so they couldn't get away. After confiscating their weapons and laying them on the bar, he then went through their pockets before pulling a large amount of Credits out from their persons.

"Don't bother" he warned River as he sat the credits down on the bar, grabbing a piece of paper and pen and began to write. After finishing the note he placed the credit chips on top of the note and picked up Yolanda once more, "Lets get the hell out of here before SecRan show up" he warned, gesturing River to lead on...

(The note read "Sorry about the mess. they should be able to cover it.")

The pride of Clan Wren.

Now, that was something she really hadn’t been called before, a name which made her swell with pride and honor. There was nothing more she wanted than to stand among legends like Sabine Wren, for her family and for her brother.

If only the Solus could see the wide grin she had underneath her helmet.

As she checked her belongings, she watched the other Mandalorian curiously gather the thugs around, pilfer their pockets, then set what credits they had on the counter as due payment. The Solus was quite the gentleman for letting her finish off the remaining crooks, but now he was footing the bill? How noble.

Though she couldn’t be surprised. They were Mandalorians, and they always cleaned up their messes.

No kidding,” said Song, and at the Solus’ motion, she led them out into the street, keeping her eyes peeled for anyone else.

Dolworth, still carrying the unconscious Yolanda, moved out of the street and made haste. He followed River through the streets, keeping an eye out for any more thugs or even SecRan. After a while the began to calm down and settled near a wall.

“Whew!” Spat Dolworth, “By Koils Eyes! That was a hell of a hunt!” He looked at River and with a laugh Dolworth gave him a pat on the back, “Son of a bitch Vod! Your Sister would be proud!” He said before pausing, “Oh...um... sorry about that.” He said now feeling awkward.

Damn right,” she said, sharing a laugh with the Solus.

She had thoroughly enjoyed their meeting and their ensuing firefight, having not pulled an acrobatic stunt like that in a long time. With her armor, it was almost impossible to pull on her own, but thankfully, she had the other Mandalorian to cover her. If not for him, for their fateful encounter, she wondered if she would have been able to seize Yolanda alone.

Safe to say, she wasn’t alone anymore.

Yeah, bet she would,” said Song, smiling at the irony, pleased to know her disguise was still intact after the battle. However, the dip in his tone afterwards made her wonder: what did he mean? Slowly, she looked over to him and said, “What's there to be sorry about?

She was utterly oblivious to what he meant, but she was about to find out just what the other Mandalorian had heard about what went down in Clan Wren.

“Well...” replied Dol hesitantly, “Your Sister? She ran away from home? Cause of your dad right?” He asked clearly worried he may have ruined the moment. He stood there for a bit, not knowing if he should go for his blaster or square up for a right hook...

Oh,” she said, rubbing the back of her neck with one hand. “Yeah.

She was surprised the Solus had heard about her own self-exile from Krownest, but nothing of her brother’s untimely death. But, of course he wouldn’t have heard of it. Her father had wanted absolute privacy after River’s passing. A proper burial. It went even to the point where some in Clan Wren still believed he was somewhere out in the galaxy, living on.

Though, in a way, he was. Through her.

You’re fine, vod. I just try not to think about that. Family drama, you know how it is. Not worth the trouble or the time.” She played it off as best as she could, disguising her obliviousness as forgetfulness, and a general lack of caring.

Her brother had been the same, once upon a time.

Trying to worm her way from the subject, Song thumbed to the unconscious Yolanda and asked, “So, what now?

“Not worth the trouble?” He said, almost a little surprised. He looked like he was about to say something else but he held his tongue, “Anywho, I guess all there is left to do is take chuckles here to a guild house and turn him in.”

He said picking up Yolanda and was about to move when he paused for a moment. He suddenly turned to face River, “Remember that Personal question I wanted to ask you?” He asked without warning, “How long has it been since you saw your sister?” He asked

Turning Yolanda into the Guild would be an easy matter. Knowing the bustling “utopia” that was Lothal, there was bound to one somewhere around the city, and if not, Song knew a few places to head. This bounty certainly wasn’t her first rodeo, having been a hunter now for quite sometime, and she doubted it’d be the last.

Song still had a ways to go.

She turned to find herself and her new partner a speeder, but was stopped in her tracks at the mention of her “sister” again. She balked at the return to the very topic she hoped to escape from, and though she wanted to ignore the Mandalorian outright, he at least deserved an answer. As brothers.

It’s been a long time since I’ve seen her. At least a year, but it feels longer,” she said, and the only person she could think of was her brother, River. Those sharp eyes she gave him during their many sparring matches, or the wide smile he’d have when she beat him.

The thought of him hurt, and it took everything in her not to either lash out, or break down.

Sorry.” She cleared her throat and tried to divert the limelight over to him. “What about you? Any real family worth missing?

Dolworth stared for a moment before sighing, “My own brother, Raza.” He said with an uncharacteristicly solemn voice, “Take my advice: Find her, bring her home, and cherish her with all your heart.” He said as the continued down the street, coming out into an area with unattended speeders, “Trust me...” I’ll never get to He finished in his thoughts as they moved on, “Anywho, sadly the only guild outpost is at Mon Cala.” He stated changing the subject, “How fast is your ship?” He asked.

The sigh, the uncharacteristically low voice. Song knew what he was saying, because it was something she too understood. The Solus’ brother, this Raza, was dead. Why, or how, she didn’t want to ask. Better the both of them kept their secrets. Though as Mandalorians, they were meant to rely on one another, Song wasn’t sure if she could be the shoulder he could lean on.

It was already hard enough carrying her late brother’s armor, more figuratively than literally.

The best she’d give him was a sincere nod, which said more than enough, what words usually could not express: sympathy and respect.

The subject switching back to the task at hand, Song descended onto one of the unattended speeders and began wiring the engine for use. It was a much better alternative than walking, or using a few of her remaining credits to buy another.

Then again, her ship wasn’t too far.

Fast enough,” she said, and with a spark, started the airspeeder up.

Song slid into the driver’s seat and gestured the Solus into the passenger’s side. As for Yolanda, she figured he could throw him in the back. Or the trunk, for good measure.

Solus tossed Yolanda in the passenger seat, climbing in the back and pulling a blaster out. After setting it to stun, he nodded for River to move on, "In that case after we put this one in binds, I propose we get him settled in your ship. As for who takes him in personally. I'm down with you turning him in. You get the credit of turning him in and when you can give me my cut of the reward" he said, wondering how she would react to the idea.

Sounds good,” said Song, and she revved the engine and accelerated out onto the street. She kept Yolando in the corner of her eye, making sure he wasn’t faking unconsciousness and waiting for the opportunity to strike, but she could relax knowing the Solus Mandalorian was keeping a special eye, and blaster, out.

She didn’t know where she’d be without him.

Song kept her focus up front, swerving by traffic in an effort to get to her ship as soon as possible. She doubted they had already dealt with the last of Yolanda’s crew. Lothal was a big city, and there was no telling what else laid in store for them.

That was when she saw it.

A glint in her sideview mirror. Another speeder close on their tail. In the rear view mirror, she noticed a man in the passenger’s side was aiming a blaster rifle right for her head. It was a second later that a trigger was pressed, and a shot was made.

The windshield shattered. Song had ducked at the last instant, and hands tight on the wheel, swerved onto an intersecting street. Another shot popped off, this time at the other Mandalorian.

You’ve got to be kidding me,” she said, trying her best to stay ahead of them, her foot heavy on the accelerator. “Vod, do you think you can get them off us?

Dolworth ducked the moment he heard the shot, looking over to see the speeder persuing them. He groaned as he clicked on his comm, “I’ll do you one better!” He snarled, “Keep em busy! Just got to hold out for about...” He looked at his chrono, “Five Minuets!”

Five minutes?” she called back to the Solus, almost sneering. “I don’t think we have five minutes!

Another shot shattered through the windshield again. Shards of glass fell over the dashboard, then slid aside as Song made another sharp turn down a new avenue. Though there were less vehicles ahead of them, pedestrian traffic was thick, and several bystanders were nearly smashed by the hood of the speeder, leaping away at the last second.

She waved her arms viciously, yelling at any bystanders even though she doubted any of them could hear her. “Move! Move! Get out of the way!

She swerved by a vendor, but one of the headlights caught onto the stall and sent local fruits flying. Onto the windshield, onto her, and onto the pursuing men behind them. Juice and fruit sap trickled down the cracked glass.

In most cases, Song might have been enjoying herself. In this case, not too much.

Dolworth growled as they made twists and turns, forcing him to duck after a bolt nearly hit him, “Just try!” He snarled.

He turned, taking a shot at one of their persuers. A man yelped and fell from the speeder, “Damn!” He spat as he looked back at River, “I was aiming at the driver!” He explained, “ Where the hell is he?!”

What do you mean where is he?!” she spat back, too busy with her eyes up front than behind. “You’re the one shooting, not me! I'm just trying to drive us out of this mess!

She took a third swipe of the wheel, narrowly avoiding another shot to her helm, and instead flew by her and into a traffic stoplight, shattering the red glow which told her to stop. Song didn’t have the time to appreciate the irony of it all, trying to maneuver her way through a sea of pedestrians and other speeders.

Song glanced up into her rear view mirror again, but that too was quickly shattered by another blaster bolt. Now, without eyes on her rear guard, she’d be forced to rely on the Solus to manage their tail.

How’s it holding up back there?” the Mandalorian said as she continued to rocket down the city street.
