150,000 people die every day, most of them die naturally and not while being an accomplice to a serious driving offense punishable by at least 2 months jail time. Why are people crying about some dude who died letting his friend do something which 1.) was illegal and 2.) endangered other people's lives. Face it, folks. Paul Walker could very well have killed more than just his buddy by letting that idiot drive the vehicle around in a 45 mph zone.

New lessons provided to us by Fast and Furious actors. Driving fast does, in fact, kill people.

Because this one mistake, although fatal to him and his friend, doesn’t negate everything else in his life. He brought joy to millions of people through his work. He had a 15 year old daughter, who just recently moved in with him after having lived in Hawaii for years. He had a girlfriend of many years. He was a very charitable person, and in fact the accident occurred while he was at his own charity event to raise funds for victims of the typhoon in the Philippines. By all accounts, he was a genuinely good guy. Did he make some mistakes, including this one? Sure, but that doesn’t change the fact that he was a good guy.

This wasn’t Kim Kardashian we're talking about here. This was a guy who just lived his life, imperfectly just like everyone, and who people liked and respected for the good things he did. So the real question is, why do you feel the need to criticize people for having feelings?

If it was Kim Kardashian we were talking about here, would that... change anything?

I'd hope so.

There's a difference between people who actually bring joy to people's lives through charity, and are just being abominations on tv for coverage.

If people mourned over the death of a Kardashian, I'd be slightly pressed to point out they've never really done anything to help the world that wouldn't help themselves!

I’d be a little more sympathetic to the “people die every day, why is this person so special?” argument, but I still wouldn’t criticize people for having feelings. Death is sad no matter what. When you know who the person is, sometimes that makes it sadder, and that's the core point.

I agree with this completely! :D

I don't think that's a fair statement to make, Bunnies.

I'm not a fan of Kim Kardashian, but I don't hold any ill will toward her, just ambivalence. Objectively there is no difference between her and Paul Walker; they're both entertainers. And if we're using the Fast and the Furious' success as a positive for Paul Walker ("He entertained lots of people with his movies!"), I think in fairness you'd have to extend that same branch to the Kardashians. Their shitty TV show topped the ratings and went on for like 10 seasons. So how many millions of people did she entertain?

It's not just about entertainment, but the wealth that comes with it and the decisions made with that wealth. Paul Walker is someone with actual talent.

Let me say a few worlds that'll easily enlighten you to the many forms of entertainment, some less morale than others.

Honey Boo-Boo.

Dr. Prospero, Lawyer/Internet Asshole, searching for a way to tap into the hidden strengths that all humans have. Then an accidental overdose of gamma radiation interacts with his unique body chemistry. And now, when Prospero grows angry or outraged, a startling metamorphosis occurs...

150,000 people die every day, most of them die naturally and not while being an accomplice to a serious driving offense punishable by at least 2 months jail time. Why are people crying about some dude who died letting his friend do something which 1.) was illegal and 2.) endangered other people's lives. Face it, folks. HULKERO VAGUELY REMEMBER SAUL. USE MAKE DUMB POSTS ON OTHER THREADS. HERE SAUL KIND OF HAS HALF POINT BUT THEN SHOULD STOP WHILE GET AHEAD OF SELF. DOESNT AND ENDS UP WITH NEGATIVE HALF POINT SO SLYTHERIN PROBABLY NOT WIN HOUSE CUP THIS YEAR.

BECAUSE YES. THERE ELEMENT DEANISM HERE WHERE PEOPLE GLORIFY RATHER GRUESOME AND GRISLY DEATH AND THAT SPEAK TO SOMEWHAT SILLY BUT INHERENTLY HUMAN IMPULSE ROMANTICISM. AND YES FAST AND FURIOUS FRANCHISE HAS MESSAGE ABOUT CARS AND RACING THAT NOT ALWAYS POSITIVE.
BUT YET IT ALSO HAS POSITIVE MESSAGE ABOUT RACE. ART SUBJECTIVE AND ALWAYS INHERENTLY FRAUGHT SO HULKERO PREFER FOCUS ON JOY IT BRING TO PEOPLE AS WELL AS FACT THAT CAR ACCIDENTS DOWN HISTORIC LOWS SO IT NOT REALLY PARTICULARLY FAIR BRING THIS UP AND IN FACT SEEM MORE LIKE RED HERRING ANYTHING ELSE.

BECAUSE ISSUE AT END OF DAY IS IF EVERYONE IMPERFECT IT NOT INCUMBENT UPON THOSE US LUCKY ENOUGH STILL ALIVE TO CUT PEOPLE SOME SLACK WHEN DIE? DEATH ALWAYS A SAD AND WRENCHING AFFAIR AND HULKERO NO LESS SORRY (PARAMOUNTLY WALKERS FAMILY) FOR THOSE SAD AT HIS DEATH DUE TO IRRESPONSIBLE CHOICE AT END.

TL;DR IT MATTERS LESS HOW HE DIE THAN HOW HE LIVE.

Or maybe, just like the baiting of Pros that you've specifically talked about on my visitor wall, you're both acting like stupid trolls?

I'm going to go with that.

ACTUALLY HULKERO DEFEND LUCID. IT HONESTLY PRETTY FUNNY WHEN SOMEONE TRY BAIT SOMEONE ELSE AND IT OFTEN SPUR DEBATE. LUCID NOT KNOW HULKERO WEAK SPOT (HINT: CHOCOLATE AND RYAN GOSLING) BUT IT HEARTEN HULKERO SEE SOMEONE TRY.

AND HULKERO NOT TROLL. THIS OFFEND HULKERO. NOT BECAUSE IT INACCURATE: HULKERO OFTEN ASSHOLE NOT TREAT PEOPLE HALF AS WELL AS THEY DESERVE. RATHER BECAUSE IT SO CLEARLY VIOLATE CANON. IF BAC KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT HULKERO HE KNOW FROM ASS-TONISHING TALES CREDIBLE HULKERO #1 (LEE, KIRBY) THAT HULKERO ORIGINALLY EXPERIMENT BY DOCTOR PROSPERO BANNER FOR MYSTERIOUS DARPA PROJECT.

HE WOULD ALSO REALIZE IF HE READ CROSSOVER HULKERO: ABYSS (AND TIE-IN ISSUES HULKERO #664 AND CAPTAIN GABARICA #315) THAT HULKERO REALLY REIFICATION OF UNDERLYING DOCTOR (FINE ARTS) PROSPERO PSYCHE AND ULTIMATELY SYMBOLIZE OBNOXIOUS DOCTOR INNATE IMPULSE APOSTROPHIZE AT AUDIENCE. WHAT HULKERO MEAN TO SAY IS THAT HE HIGHLY LITERARY GAMMA-IRRADIATED PSYCHIC PROJECTION WHO ALSO USE CAPS CRUISE CONTROL FOR COOL.

ALSO AS REGARD KIM KARDASHIAN. SAME PRINCIPLE APPLY. YES HULKERO FIND HER BANAL BUT THAT NOT REALLY HULKERO PLACE JUDGE. IT NOT LIKE SHE SOMEONE CAN BE JUDGED BY CONCRETE LEGACY SO IT ULTIMATELY COME DOWN TO PRINCIPLE ABOUT NOT BEING TOTAL JACKASS ABOUT SOMEONE DEATH VERSUS CULTURAL EFFLUENCE. AND CULTURAL EFFLUENCE LIKE KIM KARDASHIAN ALWAYS EXIST.

H.P.S. HULKERO NOT MUCH OF BASS PLAYER. HE THINK HE DEFINITELY SHRED PIANO UP. SWEET SCULPTURAL IVORY RHYTHMS OF HULKERONIUS MONK. PIANO JAZZ PLAYER.

...

So he must let the world go on thinking that Prospero is dead, until he can find a way to control the raging spirit that dwells within him.

So, in your mind, Paul Walker's death is more of a tragedy than if Kim Kardashian were to die, because he... was an actor? An actor who, at least by critical accolades (the closest we have to objectivity on the subject) was entirely mediocre?

I don't think how someone becomes famous is a decent indicator of their value as a human being.

I don't think we have any business declaring ourselves arbiters of what one should deem as the value in a life, because quite frankly, it's none of our business.

When you boil it down, a man of considerable notoriety, whose profession involved creating entertainment for millions of people, died. What's the point on deciding whether or not he was a good person? Are you a medium? Telepathic? Are you the ghost of Christmas past who witnessed his every decision or action? No?

Then **** off with your disingenuous assertions.

That was the point I was making, yes.

If only I could find a way to voice my thoughts as sexily as you do.

You never will.

Though try developing a dependency on drugs and alcohol, I find that helps.

Well weren't you just the coolest person in High School.

More like the person who thought he was the coolest person in high school, the kind of emo kid who leaned up against the wall while smoking a cigarette and watched everyone else pass him by while saying things like "this place is so lame" and "**** the system man.'

Nah, sorry to ruin your weird sex dreams/fantasies but if anything I barely turned up.

Which is a hilarious example of how non attendance of second level education can still get you into a Masters programme.

Yay Ireland!

Even if someone had voiced sadness when Osama died?
