Not sure if it was talked about or not, but does anyone realize that a Porsche Carrera GT is made of almost exclusively carbon fiber? This coupled with the fact of a Porsche not having an engine in the front, already has 2 red flags that a collision from the front is going to be disastrous. It could have only been going 50 MPH and that hollow shell of a trunk could have been whacked into nothing more than anything that could be recognized as anything but a car, that when the fuel lines caught fire, that the flames occured. Until any kind of footage of the wreck comes up, he could have been going only like 5 miles over the speed limit, but the force of hitting something very sturdy could have that kind of result.

After I watched the footage (Horrible camera angle too) I noticed the Porsche plowed 1 tree over, then hit the light pole. Easily 50+MPH, but couldn't have been going too over the speed limit. Despite the Porsche Carrera being a rather fast car, that body can't take a hit, especially from a tree and then a light pole.

I could be totally wrong on this, but nowhere in the footage can we see the car itself going ridiculously fast. I think it was a driver error, but then again this was a professional race driver, who could have been dealing with much worse in terms of roads.

Not to be taken seriously, but this is just a small theory of mine, also I don't think someone like him would be that irresponsible.
