Heres the real truth guys, eliminate fifty percent of human population, and in one hundred years we'll have a better world. Would this be morally acceptable? No. Would it solve our increasingly growing problems? Yes.

Would I be the one to do it? No, I don't have it in me. But sometimes, in order for a greater act of good to be acheived, an act of evil must be put forth.

There is no good or evil, morally is what we make of it. I strongly believe that our world will come to an end sooner than expected unless we purge it. This is why I would like to see an oppressive regime in power rather than some democratically elected liberalism government.

There is good, there is evil, but the definition differs from each individual. Though the majority, and how I think, killing billions of people is wrong. No matter how you spin it.

You'd rather have a Harrison Bergeron style government...(A short story and movie where everyone is equiped with Handicaps to make them all Equal in every way. Also, if you steal a Penny or do a minor crime, you're killed on Live TV with Murderers, rapists, etc.)

Which leads me to my point...If the definition varies from each individual then it is therefore nonexistent.

I'll take Stalin for example. He killed more than 20 000 000 people to fuel his regime but managed to industrialize it and turn it into a global superpower. If he had not done so, then the shitty leninism russia would have been destroyed by the nazi warmachine, and who knows what might have happened next.

Didn't Stalin once say "The death of One is a tragedy, the Death of Thousands is a statistic"?

Indeed.

And it's entirely true. When you watch the news, you're often more sadden by the death of a single invidiual who got killed in a car accident than by the massacre of a large group of people in some third world country that you can't even pronounce the name.

Most of the time...Not all of the time, though...Most of the time, the tragedy is kinda downsized when it becomes a physics/math problem.

It's downsized because people just don't care, Aaron. You see a report on the brutal rape and murder of a thirteen year old American girl, you're more likely to stop and watch the television, saddened. Then you hear a story about some few thousand women and children killed in Africa, you're more likely to shrug it off, and continue eating supper.

This just proved that you didn't.
