Not exactly the ending I had hoped for, but oh the poetic irony, a Jedi masquerading as a sith killed by Jedi falling to the dark side. No reason to be cryptic anymore I guess, lol. If you haven't picked up on it yet, Sarisa was actually a Jedi. Has been since I first thought of her.

On a sidenote, do you guys know how hard it is to feign anger when your rooting for your opponents to win? Though I had hoped to draw attention away from Matt's character. Still, interesting way to derail my plans. I had hoped to kill Darth Cain, and possibly even orchestrate something much larger, might aim for that bit with my next character though.

A preview of my next character idea, for those interested:

I never quite understood the concept of spying when it concerns the Force sensitive..especially rogue spies. Killing Cain is something 99% of the Sith want to do themselves.. I know my character would do it when given the chance, so a jedi purposefully seeking to be corrupted by the Dark Side to kill the DL is always a loss.

A Jedi corrupted to steal designs or fleet movements, that'd be useful, but that doesnt concern the Sith. You'd have to join the legion.

tl;dr oh well end of thread.

My suggestion for the future would be if you find yourself in a thread with one of the Jedi AFLs and you are a spy, tell that AFL you are spy. Or simply run away. We will be wrapping the thread up shortly, I don't see anyone falling to the Darkside.

Killing Cain was just a part of what I wanted to do, a step towards something larger. The end goal was basically to do to Korriban what the Sith did to Tython. I also liked the story aspects of a Jedi who sacrifices everything for the greater good, even her own soul, and ends up becoming the very thing she sought to destroy.

You'll find that what motives me as a writer on this site has literally nothing to do with the "war effort" of the main story. My love of RPing is fundamentally inspired by my love of storytelling.

And risk OOC knowledge affecting IC knowledge? Never. I wanted people with sith PCs to treat Sarisa like she was their ally, and those with Jedi PCs to come at her with everything they had. Just so happens it got her killed. C'est la vie. I was perfectly able to mention her true motives on her character profile, if I wanted people to know the ending of a story before hand, there would have been no grand reveal. The Jedi FL knew about Sarisa, as did the Sith FL, that was simply so they were informed form an OOC standpoint, both of them also knew my desire to keep Sarisa's true alignment a secret.

I never said fallen, I said falling, as in that seems to be where they are leaning. Last TL I has my Jedi experience similar instances to this, she was still a Jedi afterwards, even went on to be knighted and teach multiple students.

I will say this though, two people nearly figured it out, @Dark child came the closest, even mentioning Darth Revan's desire to combat the dark side by understanding it.
As I told him, her character profile was a puzzle, everything needed to solve it was there. If your interested in seeing what I mean, reread her profile, literally everything has a double meaning, even her theme songs.

Just a kinda fyi, you should definitely let their faction leadership know you're spying for them. ICly Valen's character should've known that you were a spy, and would've taken it easy on you. Would Kalan have? Possibly not lol but it may have turned out differently for you. Just something to consider for the future.

I let the FL's know out of courtesy. ICly I doubt Valen would have ever know of or met Sarisa, though I suppose it isn't out of the realm of possibility that Sarisa would have known of Valen, since he is a general and all. That being said, "would've taken it easy on you" is the exact reason I opted out of letting anyone other than FLs and the RP Admin know, who at the time was @Dmitri
Next time inform the Administration that your character is a spy as well. All espionage needs to be logged with an admin, otherwise it will be voided. As you did not log this character as a spy with the administration, they were not a spy.

Would you like to be added to the PM conversation? I made sure to get the approval of both FLs and the administrator whose jurisdiction espionage characters fell under, which at the time was @Dmitri

EDIT: As a sidenote, @Arclight I've already asked Gaba to remove Sarisa from the list of active espionage agents. I did so in the same post I had her archived with. If you just checked, she was removed and archived over an hour ago. Link

Well, technically the rules don't require you to. So it's not necessary, per se. Courteous, sure, but not required.

I like the fact that you guys have managed to use my character's death to advance your own character's' development in various ways. I mean it too, one of my main reasons for being frustrated was that it seemed like you all had just jumped in to kill a couple PCs, the fact that you characters will be able to use this thread to further their character development means it wasn't a complete loss. So thank you guys for that.

@Narsi if you want a Jedi that would understand Gren's bestial nature, my Jedi is also a little wild and can lean towards the dark side here and there. Would be interesting to have them work together me thinks. I'm slightly off-put by the idea of Gren wielding Sarisa's former lightsaber if we did do a thread together. That has nothing to do with you or your character, keep the lightsaber, I actually like that Gren claimed it. I just have this personal rule of mine that no two of my characters will ever meet face to face or be in the same thread. It feels weird even imagining a former possession of one of my characters being in the same thread as another one of my characters.

@Zenya I really like your post as well because I'm not sure if Lanna is mad she didn't get to kill Sarisa, or if she's mad that Kalan killed her, which is interesting and leaves it open ended for interpretation.

Completely forgot to reply to this earlier for some reason.
But yeah, I think a thread with some Gren/Emerald interaction could be fun, their respective personalities would certainly clash. For now we'll have to wait though, the TS is getting close and all threads need to be wrapped up by then. Afterwards, sure we should try something.
