As Cass walked across the rock of the Palace floor, it wasn’t long until she heard the unmistakable sound of blaster fire and the commotion that ensued. Her hands were on her hips by then, each gripping the handle of a pistol in its holster, keeping her combat contained until she could assess the situation. Though, it was her droid who did so for her.

[“The Mandalorian party is under attack. Nagai pirates by the looks of it. Team Mando’s hiding in the smoke. One down but evidently alive. Three pirates eliminated. Ooh, Mando has a walker and the pirates are retreating...upstairs.”]

Cass picked up on her droid’s pause right away. Upstairs meant one way. My way.

[“Solid copy. Maintain position and reports.”]

Her pace quickened, hands squeezing handles. Her head tilted just then, a sudden spark of interference barraging her comm. [“Rawl? Rawl, do you copy?”]

[“Uh, sorry, Cass, seems the pirates have picked up on my position on their retreat. I’m—”]

The 4EY Scout Droid found itself clinging to the ceiling one moment and falling to the floor the next, courtesy of a blaster bolt pummeling into the crete beside its position. It was enough to drop the droid so that it fell on its very feet right upon the stairs. Rawl’s first reaction was to look left, look right. On one side was a fading group of pirates. On the other was a lone buzz droid in pursuit. Brave little droid, brave indeed.

//Um...// Rawl called out to its metallic counterpart. //I’m terribly sorry for the intrusion but apparently I’ve been swept off my feet. I’m Rawl, by the way. My master is—//

He didn’t have time to finish before either the pirates’ bolts made him dance or the buzz droid all but shut him up with words or action. Whatever the case, Rawl decided to dodge what he could and keep up his surveillance, floor or ceiling be damned.

[“Rawl? Rawl? Answer me, you crosswired little di’kut, or I’ll—”]

It was Cass’ turn to trail off as she caught movement toward her own position. The hall was behind her, the hallway before her leading to that same flight of stairs that descended toward Team Mando. Coming up, of course, was a group of Nagai pirates, and toward her even if unbeknownst to them. That, though, wasn’t what had stopped Cass in her tracks. Not retreating, she realized as she hugged a wall and peered round the corner to witness more or less a dozen Nagai exit a room to head toward those heading up the stairs. Regrouping.

It made sense. Evidently, these Nagai raiders formed a greater collective that had most likely split up into multiple teams to plunder the Palace and punish anyone caught in their sights. For all Cass knew, there was yet another dozen somewhere else; no telling how vast in number the pirates were overall. Not that she had time to ponder it. These kriffers know what they’re up against now: Mandalorians and a walker at the very least. They just didn’t know about the Mandalorian behind them. They would soon enough, given that three from the second group were heading her way with missile launchers in their grips. Druk.

Twisting her lips, Cass waited until the anti-vehicle combatants were in position, weapons raised toward the stairs and thus backs turned, and then she rounded the corner. Her pistols trained, the bolts pummeled into the backs of two, before the one spun around to fire his missile toward her instead of the AT-RT he had been waiting for. She hadn’t quite expected that. As her eyes widened, Cass quickly spun away and dove just as the wall beside her exploded into a million pieces, a large stone banging on the floor inches in front of her head. Helmet or no, it just might have crushed it.

Head ringing and barely conscious Minerva grunted from the pain. Vizsla's smoke screen and the covering fire provided by Reidi, Dregg and Eisa stopped the pirates in their tracks. Brought to safety by her captain, Minerva stirred and grimaced inside the helmet.

When Vizsla asked if she could walk the young merc uttered another grunt. Moments her vision cleared, seeing her fellow Mandalorian and Eisa close by. “Yea I‘ll manage.” Gritting her teeth Minerva forced herself up just as Curse riding the walker charged the Nagai who fell back now numbering less than beforehand.

As the smoke cleared Minerva saw who the attackers and their looted gear, she paused before eyes narrowed. How dare they! Swifty she drew her vibrosword in the right hand and the pistol in the other. Rushing forward on the left side of the walker she subsequently spotted the trio of Nagai with missile launchers .

“Poodoo.” She exclaimed but then two of the brigands were cut down by blaster shots from behind.

The third fired his rocket toward the new Mandalorian that intervened. Moments after the wall exploded she aimed the pistol and fired two shots that caught Nagai in the back who cried out before rolling down the steps dead.

FOR MANDALORE!

Minerva shouted for all to hear then jettison toward the pirates trying to regroup. She flew straight toward a pair of gunners on the right flank who were caught off guard by the sudden charge. Without hesitation Minerva sliced horizontally, cutting off both of their heads in one swoop.

Subsequently the ex founding flew backward drawing many an enemy to shoot at her in midair. Minerva dodged and evaded above from the hostile fire to keep herself alive and provide a diversion for the others to take advantage of.

Dregg Starr

Dregg's A280C overheated, he slung it over his shoulder and drew both of his Westar-35's. There was smoke and blaster fire everywhere. He hadn't been in such an intense firefight for some time. He looked over at the droid manning the AT-RT. There was an explosion as Curse took out three of the Nagai. Footsteps and Blasterfire came from upstairs and another explosion happened. He heard the rubble hit the ground. Dregg vaulted out of a window near where the rubble from upstairs fell. He looked up and jetpacked up through the hole in the upstairs wall. He spotted another Mandalorian, he never knew her name but she was a sister who was on the ground, presumably dodging the missile that blew the hole in the wall, and she was being swarmed by more Nagai raiders. There had been twelve up here just like downstairs, there may be more groups of twelve in other places around the city. Maybe some near the palace. No time think, he had to act. The group upstairs heard his jetpack before he was even on the second floor. Dregg landed in a crouched position to blaster fire. He zigzagged towards them, getting nicked on his left arm by a blaster bolt. Intoxicating adrenaline blocked the pain of the wound. He stepped over the fallen comrade. Fire. Out of his left vambrace five whistling birds shot out, they whistled loudly as the flew towards the pirates. They scattered in a panicked hurry as one by one they fell with an explosion. Their screams of fear and shouting echoed through the building. Now, before Dregg laid five dead pirates. He had six whistling birds remaining in his vambrace. He could make more with any beskar they found on the homeworld. Dregg had missed two raiders who had been to the side of the hole in the wall. They fired at him and he rolled out of the way, they were trying to flee from the onslaught of whistling birds and tiny explosions they had just witnessed. Dregg knew they'd need at least someone to question. He used the whipcord thrower in his right vambrace, it fired out and wrapped around one of the raiders. With his other hand he fired on the other pirate. A blaster bolt hit Dregg in his pauldron in the firefight between him and the last pirate upstairs. Dregg was pushed back with the force of the bolt and dropped his blaster pistols. The pirate laughed and approached Dregg but before he could do anything Dregg had already shot him with the blasters built into his left Vambrace. The pirate fell down with a thud as Dregg stood up and picked his two blaster pistols up. He checked on Casany to make sure she was okay as the one pirate struggled to try and break free of the whipcord around him in the corner. Dregg offered his hand to Casany. "Let's get you up soldier, we've got more of this raiders to kill"

Helping the redheaded ex-jedi drag Minerva to cover, Gett'se was glad when the fallen vod managed to get some words out. None of their own had fallen to the initial ambush though it had been a close thing.

The smoke cleared as the scout walker pushed out of it and up the stairs, and Gett'se was right on its heels. The enemy was on the retreat and Gett'se was more than willing to push the advantage. Running up to the bottom of the stairs he flexed his left hand and then released it, triggering a short burst of his jetpack that brought him to land at the top of the stairs just ahead of the walker and behind the retreating Nagai.

His blaster coming up and firing before his feet even touched the ground, he scorched the breastplate of one of the Nagai. Shifting his aim as he landed he took the man's face off before rolling to the right, out of the way of the stairwell and the oncoming walker.

Coming up out of his roll the blaster was knocked from Gett'se's hand as the 'lead' Nagai brought the hilt of his dagger down on it. Ducking back to dodge a slash, his Beskad came out from his its scabbard over his shoulder in his left hand, coming down to block a follow up strike that sent the dagger low.

Pushing in with an elbow strike to the Nagai's face, he pushed forwards as the pirate staggered back, his blade coming up in a slash that was parried off to the right by the pale faced pirate's blade.

He felt the Nagai's blade penetrate his flight suit and carve a slice through his forearm as he brought his blade back down to clang loudly against the Nagai's gorget, beskar against beskar. The heavy blow sent the Nagai staggering back and an opening flex and then close of Gett'se's right hand sent a stream of fire at the pirate's face.

Gett'se waited out the screaming, waited until he heard the thud of a body hitting the ground before he opened his hand and the flames stopped. Scooping up his blaster as he held his beskad firmly in his dangling left arm, he stepped over the corpse of the skin stealer. There would be time later to reclaim the stolen beskar'gam, for now there was still more enemies to be fought.

"Gett'se behind you!" Kyp called out down to his fellow Clan Vizsla member. The Lepi Mandalorian had answered the call on Mandalorian and met up with his fellow clansmen Gett'se Vizsla in the process. As of right now, he'd been keeping an eye on him from up high on a balcony as Gett'se had made his way to mingle with the other Mandalorians that had shown up. Mingling wasn't something Kyp excelled at or wanted to get better at so he was content staying up here, alone with his thoughts.

That actually turned out to be not so peaceful of a plan after all as a whole bunch of Nagai pirates suddenly appeared and began blasting everything in sight. A strange droid in a scout walker seemed to be doing a whole bunch of damage, while Gett'se gave chase and finished off a Nagai at the top of the stairs. Unfortunately, one of the Nagai had been hiding behind a pillar and was pulling out a gun on Gett'se when Kyp suddenly shouted his warning. The Lepi Mandalorian had a good line of sight on him and with six shots from his rifle, the Nagai had been put down.

After that, Kyp used his grappling line to swing from the balcony to the top of the stairs where Gett'se was. He nodded to his fellow Mando and nonverbally indicated that he'd get his fellow clansman's six.

Battles changed course at the drop of a hat. Reiel, quickly adjusting to it as best as she could, immediately removed herself from her hiding place to follow the scout walker manned by Curse. The Mandalorian switched weapons, trading the blaster rifle for the pistol holstered on her hip. She did not follow Gett'se as he rushed forward, knowing that she was better suited for long-range combat rather than melee.

Minerva's flight successfully distracted some of the pirates. While they fired at the Mando on the air, they posed themselves as easy pickings for Reiel's blaster pistol. Blue bolts struck the targets true, and she was thankful for the fact that not all of their enemies were clad in beskar armor. Three pirates fell in quick succession in her initial attack, and more would've followed had Reiel not been distracted by the explosion from upstairs.

Blaster fire from the enemy slipped past the AT-RT just as Reiel stepped out of the cover it offered her. One bolt whizzed past her shoulder, the other finding its mark on her helmeted head. The impact jerked the Mandalorian backwards, her free hand instinctively shooting out to grab whatever part of the walker it could reach to prevent herself from falling down the flight of stairs they now traversed.

Stand firm, feet apart. Don't let your head get hit in a fight. Whichever way your head goes when it's struck, your body has a tendency to follow that direction. If you can't withstand the force, find something stable to hold on to so you can keep yourself upright.

Gritting her teeth, Reiel sent out a mental 'thank you' to her buir for his teaching. Steadying herself while keeping up with the walker, she let go and resumed firing at the retreating Nagai– no, not retreating. Trying to regroup, most likely.

Nearing the top of the stairs, Reiel rushed ahead of the AT-RT and came just as Gett'se finished roasting one of the Nagai – the one clad in beskar'gam. Before she could ask about his well-being, her attention was stolen by Dregg who was offering Casany a hand. Reiel assumed that she had been caught in the explosion, and was glad to see that the other Mando did not seem to be gravely injured. On the corner was a pirate, bound, but was struggling to get free.

Reiel swiftly made her way towards the pirate before he could free himself, planting one booted foot firmly on his chest and shoving her blaster at his face. She would leave the fighting to her other vode and Eisa and Curse's tandem for now, intent on keeping the pirate under her captive. It seemed to her that an interrogation would soon be in order.

She leaned down at the pirate, digging her foot on his chest and effectively keeping him from struggling any further as she pressed on him with her full weight, heavy armor and all. A wicked grin crossed her face as he flinched away from the blaster.

"Trying to leave the party so soon, buddy? Don't be so rude. Wouldn't let my vod 's effort of wasting a length of this whipchord go to waste if you escape now," she told the pirate in a sunny voice, laced with the venom of a threat. Finger on the trigger, Reiel pressed the muzzle of the blaster pistol on the Nagai's forehead. "No sudden movements, pal. I'm a little jumpy – might accidentally pull the trigger on you."

Reiel soon heard a voice call out to Gett'se in warning. The blaster dug harder against the captive Nagai's forehead as she stayed the urge to rush to his aid. The pirate seemed to sense her conflict and had the audacity to smirk up at her in spite of his fear.

"Aw, kriff, is the boyfriend in trouble? Or is that a girlfriend? Who knows, you Mandos look the same to me anyway." he taunted her. Annoyed, Reiel withdrew her blaster pistol from his face. The relief on the pirate's face was short-lived, however, when she fired at one of his knees. His pained howl mingled with the death cries of his people and the sounds of fighting behind her.

"Oh, damn. Looks like the torture came first before the actual interrogation," she commented, but highly unapologetic of her action.

Srucayr had been hunting a trail of raiders for several days now. The thought of Aruetii on his homeworld made him sick and the fact that the trail had led him to the palace, even moreso. That was until he heard the sounds of blasterfire coming from the inside. Cursing, he'd begin to rush inside, using the fading smoke as cover in his charge.

Fearless, he waded to where the fighting was thickest and Minerva played distraction. "Kad malyasa'yr bic!" he roared as he pulled a warpick free from its beltloop and with a two handed grip, brought it down on the beskar gorget of one of the pirates. The surprise was visible on his face as the pick side punched through, gleaming a bright silver as the beskar punched through. Adding more force until the struggling stopped, he'd kick the corpse to the side, wrenching his pick free. "Eyaytir hut'uun! Nakadr ganar olaror!"

Ancient silver and blue beskar would mark his movements as he slipped the warpick back to its home and pulled his sword and a shield free. The shield would absorb a burst of close range blaster fire and he ducked behind the shield, drawing even more fire.

Well that was the blaster rifle of no kriffing use any more! All it took was for ten bursts of five shots, peppering the Nagai raiders as they attacked and then started to fall back - to have completely spunked the charge of the power cell. And for what gains she couldn't honestly tell, as soon as Curse took the reins of the Atrt the path ahead had turned in to utter carnage. Pursing her lips in thought for the moment, before shrugging and then quickening her pace so she was alongside the scout walker. A slight sound of clattering could be heard behind the buzz droid, as the fiery haired space had clambered up the grab rails and was in the process of stowing her blaster rifle away, and rummaging through the satchel she had grabbed earlier.

A wild grin crossed the Spacers features as she looked over to her mechanical crew mate. "Having fun bud?" Eisa casually questioned, not really needing an answer {it was clearly obvious the Buzz Droid was} before removing a cylindrical object from her satchel and then proceeding to stuff the bag away into the walkers stowage and then shifting herself about so she could get some purchase for her legs. Her eyes narrowing as she started to channel the Force through her, directing her gaze and attention towards the surrounding battle, focusing on the Nagai retreat towards a closed in area - it was looking like they were attempting to regroup. Though with more Mandalorians appearing out of the blue, it did look like the battle was in hand, but then again if the raiders had known of the noisy arrival, perhaps this was just part of the plan, luring them into a closed off and narrow area.

"Curse, can you move the ATRT a smidge closer to that ledge will you" The Spacer called out over the din of the walkers movements and weapons fire. As the distance closed in on the over hanging ledge, "Cheers Bud" the Spacer spoke as she patted the Buzz Droid's outer shell, before leaping up off from the back of the scout walker and onto the ledge, before breaking off into a sprint, her eyes panning up to watch as Minerva came swooping down ahead of her, swiping and cutting down the Front raiders - perfect timing it seemed.

Coming out of their cover the Nagai group chased and tracked the flying mandalorian, focusing their attention on attempting to shot Minervas back as she pulled out of her attack. The fiery haired spacer vaulted over the separating wall. A bright flash of a bright green arc of light sprang into life, as the Spacer ignited her lightsaber and brought it down in a diagonal arc, cutting down the distracted raiders, before following up with a short and sharp release of a force wave sending the remainder of the Nagai pirates over the ledge and onto the ground below.

This day just kept getting better. The Nagai seemed determined to put up a fight despite the odds clearly not in their favor, and Curse was happy to oblige, blasting any bit of cover the raiders had to pieces and then blasting them if they lingered in her sights a moment too long. The advance up the stairs was more like a simple stroll, as with the assistance of the still increasing number of Mandalorians there was little resistance. Still, Curse did her best to keep pace with and support her unexpected allies. Until she got distracted.

As she continued the march another droid unexpectedly landed in their path, a little scout droid. Curse stared at it blankly in confusion for a few brief moments, then her programming kicked in. It's attempts to communicate were met with the Pistoeka turning her cannon towards it and trying to blast it to pieces. For all she knew it was with the enemy right? The droid was able to annoyingly evade her attacks however, leading the buzz droid to quickly grow frustrated. She stopped her advance and began turning in place, trying to blast Rawl. When it became clear the AT-RT wasn't maneuverable enough to hit such a small moving target Curse let out an enraged chitter and leapt from the seat, not even bothering to power down the walker. As such, it continued walking unmanned the rest of the way up the stairs and into the chamber, threatening to run over anyone that got in it's path.

//Rawl was it?// Curse beeped out loudly over the chaos of the battle, her circular saw spinning up as she continued to chase the scout droid on foot. //I'm Curse! A pleasure to meet you! Stop moving please!// This chase continued for some time as blaster fire, screams and all manner of Mandalorian gadgets went on around them. Then the Pistoeka stopped in her tracks as she took notice of the fallen Nagai Gett'se had killed. And his beskar. The buzz droid shook with excitement at the mere sight of it and looked briefly around the battlefield. Everyone was still preoccupied for the moment. Taking advantage of the opportunity Curse forgot about the scout droid and immediately scampered over to the fallen alien.

//Just a little piece...// She twittered quietly as she brought her saw towards the beskar, only for it to clatter uselessly against the armor. Curse paused. //Just a...// She grabbed onto the armor and tried to pry it off with her hooks. Then attempted to drill through it. Nothing seemed to have any effect. The buzz droid moved her shell casings up and down as she stared blankly at the armor. //Problematic...// She chirped thoughtfully, continuing to ignore the chaos around her. She'd figure it out though... Just needed some time...

There Rawl was one moment, clinging to the ceiling for dear life, lest the pirates beneath reduce him to a pile of sparks and scrap. The next moment, it wasn’t the Nagai that the droid had to worry about, nope— It was another frakking droid. Out of nowhere, the buzz droid in the AT-RT trained its cannon yonder and the rest was a lightshow of pew-pew, dance-dance, lest psychotic buzz droid get the best of scout droid’s inexistent pants. It was all Rawl could do to screech and yelp, dodging this way and bouncing that way, feeling as offended as a Twi’lek felt when some rando run their fingers through her lovely lekku out of nowhere. What in blazes and blaster fire did I do!? I didn’t ask for this! Why is this maniac of a droid shooting at me!?

Up, up, up the scout droid dashed, squealing at the serial killer behind itself, wondering if the Nagai were the real enemy here or one sodding, sawing buzz droid with few other purposes to existence except to sever and drill and burn every single thing in its path. //AAAAAAIIIIIIIII!!!!// Rawl wailed as he looked to the finish line and wondered if it meant the end of his own existence.

//Rawl was it?// Curse beeped out loudly over the chaos of the battle, her circular saw spinning up as she continued to chase the scout droid on foot. //I'm Curse! A pleasure to meet you! Stop moving please!//

//Stop moving!? STOP MOVING!? Moving is the only thing keeping my metallic rear from being shaved off by an absolute nutter of a Pistoeka, thank you!//

A moment later and his tenacious pursuer had apparently been distracted by a fallen foe—though, as circumstances had dictated, “foe” needed a whole new definition right about now. The worst wasn’t over; now Rawl was dance-dodging blaster bolts from the Nagai. Shaking his little head in defeat, he decided that his greatest defense was his worst offense, which meant bouncing toward that buzz droid if only to duck behind both it and the corpse that it was fascinated with.

//It’s beskar, you uncultured, unprocessed piston-head!// Rawl roared toward the stupid little buzz droid while ducking behind it. //You sure as shaven Shistavanen won’t cut through that armor in time to count how many crossed wires you have from one egg shell to the next!//

Let's get you up soldier, we've got more of this raiders to kill"

Meanwhile, in some semblance of a saner reality, Cass was shaking her head to the rubble around her. No, the Palace was already rubble; what had just burst into the fray was the dust and bones of a shattered reality; the detonation of a bygone world. She would figure out what in the druk all that meant later; for now, she had a hand to grasp.

“Aye,” the red-gold Mandalorian assured as she squeezed the grey hand of her counterpart like it was a Nagai’s neck. “And they will die screaming."

Relishing that prospect, Cass was up and back in action, ready to go guns blazing and blades grazing when she spot another comrade place a boot on a rather receptive chest; a sure sign that these Nagai pirates were but footstools to their Mandalorian opponents.

“Prey…” Cass called between herself, her helper and the battle around them. She felt eyes on her person—a Mandalorian’s? A mural’s? A maddening vengeance? No, a sniper’s a storey above. “...That's what you are, pirates! She shook her head, then her helper’s forearm before two jets of fire erupted beneath her jetpack, igniting a fury she had not felt since . . .

“PREY FOR YOUR MANDALORIAN HUNTERS!

With that, Cass was up and away like a marauder with murder on her mind. A bellowing blaster bolt erupted from the muzzle of a Nagai’s sniper rifle, but it passed beneath the Mandalorian's boots like the wind. As her arms lifted, so too did the pistols in both hands, sending the sniper falling to the floor below with an unceremonious squeal.

It took all of Minerva’s experience to avoid getting shot down. Still several bolts camels inches from ending her. Out of the corner of her t-visor she spotted the newly arrived Srucayr. He raged with a battle cries, killing a pirate with one of his melee weapons and before using a metal shield against hostile fire. Subsequently the firing stopped followed by screaming on the other side.

Twisting around she noted it was Eisa now wielding her emerald lightsaber with torn bodies and a broken ledge.

Red taking this seriously, she doesn't use that thing often. Thought Minerva before nodding in silent gratitude. Can’t be picky right now about what type of weapon one uses right now. Then she saw the now empty walker clanging on as it reached the chamber.

A wounded Nagai was trying to crawl away from the fighting when the walker approached. He looked up and fired before the machine's left leg slammed and crushed his head and shoulder. “Where Curse? So help if that little menace is looting beskar…”

Seeing the walker not stopping and heading straight out a shattered window Minerva dived toward it. Quickly she landed in the seat nearly falling before grabbing the controla, and bringing the walker to a sudden stop just at the edge. Sighing heavily Minerva called out to Eisa.

“Eisa, your pest owes me for this!”

Meanwhile the others were finishing off the Nagai pirates in a great slaughter. This fight is more or less won just with the final act to conclude.

With the concentrated fire diminishing on the shield, Srucayr would charge forward, a bolt striking home beneath his left pauldron. Rage would keep him moving as he pummeled one of the pirates with the shield and shoved him past the lightsaber wielder and into a wall. As the Nagai grunted from the impact, the beskad would slip into his midsection and open it. Leaving the pirate to a painful death, Srucayr would turn back towards the others. His beskad flourished in hand before it caught the arcing slash of a pirate, the shield would then knock the poor victim into the path of the lightsaber.

His visor would do a quick scan of the battlefield, before landing on the buzz droid trying to steal beskar. The blade would slip back into its scabbard before the warpick was pulled free, his gait leading him to the scene.

Gett'se had just scooped up his blaster when he heard his name called out, and a warning. Dropping to one knee as he spun, his blaster lined up with the Nagai behind him but before he could shoot, six blaster bolts flared from a balcony above and sent the pirate spinning off the rail. Nodding to the mandalorian, Gett'se was about to turn back to the battle when he heard the clacking of tiny claws and the buzz of a drill on beskar.

Glancing over his shoulder, the buzz droid Curse was crouched(?), hunkered(?) over the pirate he had just felled, chirping to herself, back turned to him. Shaking his head he turned, he caught sight of a pair of pirates fleeing down the hall and smirked slightly. He sheathed his beskad and reached for the unassuming droid.

"That's not yours." He said as he reached down, grabbing the buzz droid by one of its back pods from behind and swinging her in an overhand throw.

"Cut up something useful." He shouted as he hurled the droid at the back of one of the fleeing Nagai's heads, sending the droid hurtling towards the air to hopefully do what it did best. Disassemble. Raising his blaster, he aimed down sight and put a bolt between the shoulder blades of the other fleeing pirate. He felt no moral quandary mercilessly shooting such a cowardly thief in the back.

Sighing as Minerva called out, claiming that Curse owed her again for stopping the run away walker. The fiery haired spacer, simply shrugged for a moment before the blade of her lightsaber barrelled around her to intercept and deflect a stray blaster bolt. "Just add it to the tabb" Eisa called back in response. "You know as well as I do know Curse is just like a loth cat, what ever new shiny thing appears that takes her fancy she wants to hunt it" she added, as a light grin crossed her features, she did like the analogy of comparing the troublesome buzz droid to a cat - the only difference and perhaps the saving grace was that Curse returned with bits of scrap, rather than a half dead animal being dumped in the ship.

Lowering her saber into a passive angle, the fire head, took a look around the area, it seemed that the skirmish was waning and now in its final throws, a few isolated shots here and there but all in, things were starting to reach its conclusion. Looking off to the side the Spacer cocked her head at and angle as she eyed up the missile launchers that was scattered about where the pirates had set up their heavy gunners. That might come in handy, she mused to herself before stepping over to the dropped weapons and picking them up by the straps. New weapons in tow Eisa walked to the edge of the upper level, before stepping off and casually dropping down onto the floor below, landing with a slight grunt beside the scout walker - so she could strap and fasten the missile launchers onto the walkers stowage racks.

So what now? The battle seemed to be well and truly over now, the only thing that seemed to be missing was the ring leader. Well the Spacer assumed that the Beskar covered pirate with the twin blades from earlier was the ring leader, but for all the chaos that ensued he made a pretty quick and solid vanishing act. Leaning against the side of the war walker, Eisa closed her eyes and reached out with the Force, sensing the various life signs that were around her, for all the movement that was around them, there was just one small pocket that was stationary, holed up within an adjoining room or chamber. "Got a few stragglers hiding here" the Spacer shouted, hopefully loud enough to be heard by the near by Mandalorians, so that they could start to muster or least use their comms to spread the message.

Whilst the Mando's could regroup, the Spacer rolled her head back and forth, before loosening up her shoulders with a quick stretch. Before pacing towards the closed doors, placing a hand against the closed surface she reached out and sensed just what was on the other side of the wall - sensing only just a hap hazard build up of furniture and crates to create a crude barricade, but after loosing half her body rushing into a pirates hold out Eisa wasn't going to make the same mistake twice.

"Right, here goes.... Knock Knock!!" the space spoke, though more than likely just mostly just to herself, as she took a step back, drawing and pooling the Force into her before stretching out her hand and releasing a blast of energy that blew the doors clean off the wall, and sending them and the cobbled barricade flying and scattering into the previously sealed chamber, revealing two stunned looking pirates. Their attention focused on where the third had just been standing before he was replaced by a pile of rubble.

Ooc: figured best to try and corral us up to the interrogation bit ;)

Dregg helped Casany up, nodding in agreement with her sentiment. As soon as she was up she jetpacked up into the air, he watched her go up and saw where she was going to. A sniper. But the sniper would soon be dead. As the adrenaline wore off the pain of his flesh wound in his hand set in, a lingering burning sensation. His shoulder would hurt too where he had been hit in the pauldron. But that pain was less of a burning and stinging, it was more of an ache. He looked over at Reiel who was interrogating the pirate, she had shot him in the leg. He quickly approached her, his hand on his arm where he had been shot. He crouched down before the pirate and gripped his hair, pulling his head up to meet Dregg’s T visor. “This is how it’s going to go. You’re going to to tell us where your base is, any ships you might have, who’s there who isn’t, the defences etcetera, etcetera. If you don’t” Dregg flipped the pirate over and smashed the back of his head into the ground, the pirate let out a yelp and groan as his head made contact with the floor. Dregg placed both of his thumbs over his eyes, gently at first “I’ll gouge your fuckin’ eyes out, one at a time” The pirate let out a laugh, before uttering:

“You don’t have the-“

Dregg cut him off by applying pressure to the Nagai’s left eye, the pirate screamed out in pain, asking Dregg to stop. Slowly and slowly Dregg increased the pressure “For your little sentiment, I’m taking an eye Dregg grunted as blood begun to cover his thumb. He stopped gouging the pirate’s eye out as soon as he was satisfied with his work. He wiped the blood off his thumb as the pirate writhed, screamed and cried in pain “Once I’m done with your eyes, my friend here” Dregg nodded at Reiel “Well, she’ll start by taking your toes, then your feet and I think you get the picture. She won’t stop until you’re a head in a jar telling us all we want to know. But if you tell us now the torture will stop, you hear?” The pirate cried out in pain some more, blood seething from where his left eye was just a moment ago.

“C-Concordia” He cried out, looking up at Dregg who was crouched beside him. “There’s a few of us there, a-and then th-there’s a ship. A ship with a-a few more. I-It’s where our teams came fr-from. The base it’s uh, fenced. T-two watchtowers at the gate. S-some mounted guns for de-defence. There won’t be many o-of us there now, you’ve slaughtered most of us down here today.” Dregg nodded as he listened to the pirate, he looked up at Reiel.

“You get all of that? You think that’s enough? Because I’m not quite sure myself, maybe you can get him to talk more” Dregg said as he looked back down at the pirate who was now crying for his life. Dregg had no sympathy for the thief. He’d made his bed when he decided to band with beskar’gam stealing pirates, now he must lie in it.

"I'll check it out." Kyp said grumpily to Gett'se as he heard Eisa say that she had found some stragglers. His natural quickness carried him even further than usual as the thought of more violence put an extra spring in his step. As he was running, he heared a booming sound followed by a crash. As he rounded the corner, he saw that the tiny reheadead human had somehow managed to breach a hastily fortified door. Two Nagai pirates were standing stunned, looking at Eisa and Kyp took that as his cue to send a laser bolt into one of their chests. The other one put his hands up to cover his face. Kyp growled as he noticed that he had beskar bracers on his wrists.

"Did you want this one?" he snarked to Eisa as he kept his rifle trained on the surviving Nagai. He might not relish the thought of working with an outsider but this human had been the one to find the stragglers and breach the door so he was willing to allow here this kill if she wanted.

If truth be told, cruelty made Reiel sick – but only when innocent individuals were the ones to be subjected into it. But the Nagai under her was far from being blameless, and the beskar on his chest simply added to the anger she felt towards him and his fellow pirates.

Thieving scum. Chaku'pel'gam. Skin stealers.

She let Dregg handle the initial interrogation, ready to shoot at the pirate's other knee should the latter refuse to divulge information. But the way the older Mandalorian handled the discussion did not require any other threats of bodily harm from her – Dregg did it for her, and even acknowledging what horrors she could offer should the Nagai lie and remain uncooperative. Reiel holstered her blaster pistol and retrieved one of her vibroknives to support her ori'vod's claim, twirling the weapon between her fingers menacingly.

When Dregg turned to her, asking her if the information given to them still might not suffice, Reiel tilted her head to the side and regarded the pirate quietly. The only indication that she could be a physically intimidating presence in a room was her heavy Mandalorian armor and the weapons on her person. Once her height had been realized, people were quick to dismiss or poke fun at her. Torture was not even her forte, and whenever they're on a joint mission she would more often than not leave it and the interrogation to her buir who – by all standards (to her, anyway) – perfectly gave off a most intimidating and threatening aura.

But she was good at improvising, so at least Reiel could start with that one.

"You know what they say, 'great minds think alike'. Or something along those lines," Reiel replied brightly, removing her foot off of the pirate. She stepped aside, only to crouch down and eventually sit on the Nagai's chest, crossing her legs and gazing down at him with a wicked grin he could never see. "I think he's withholding info. Are you?"

The pirate whimpered, bloody face turning to look up at her. "P-Please, I've told you everything you need to know! Don't– Don't kill me, I'm begging you!"

She sighed and shook her head dramatically in disappointment.

"Wrong answer, bud."

The vibroknife went into the pirate's shoulder and he screamed in pain. Reiel would already be chuckling if she was an entirely cruel person. Lucky for him, she was not – but it did not mean that she was not beyond enacting torture.

"Tch. Wrong stabbing place. My brother here did say that I'll start cutting those toes off. Guess I should've started there, huh?" Pulling the blade free, she would resume her questioning. "Are you sure you got everything we need?"

"We have a ship docked a mile east of Sundari!" shrieked the pirate, tears spilling free from the only eye he's left. "For– For transport and reinforcement! We have a heavy repeating b-blaster onboard, speeder bikes, m-more looted Mando gear in storage!"

"How many men? Any mounted guns on that ship?"

The pirate was sobbing by now, and Reiel hadn't even begun slicing toes off – let alone take off the kriffer's boots.

"T-Ten, at least. N-No mounted guns, the heavy repeating b-blaster... You've killed m-most of– of us here. Please, please don't kill me, I'll help guide you to them, just please...!"

Eyes narrowed behind her helmet's T-visor, Reiel proceeded to swing her vibroknife down his skull and stopped just shy of his remaining eye. The pirate froze, horrified, and she could already imagine him seeing his life flash right before him.

"Are you sure that's everything? Base and all?" she asked one last time, free hand flying to his neck and blade primed to sink into his skull.

The pirate closed his eye, seemingly accepting his fate. He let out a shuddering breath, and shakily replied, "Pet rancor o-on Concordia base. Mounted... Mounted guns on t-the ship here."

Reiel might be a bounty hunter, but she still had manners. She withdrew her vibroknife, and switched it for her blaster pistol once more. Removing her other hand from the pirate's neck, she tipped her helmeted head at him in acknowledgement.

"Thank you."

...and proceeded to put a blaster bolt between his eyes. It was what he deserved, along with his group. And it was what they should've expected. Stealing from Mandalorians – from the dead – was unforgivable, and the only payment they could offer in return to make amends was their deaths. No more, no less.

She stood up and gazed at Dregg, head tilted to the side like a curious massiff. "There we go, chief. Got everything covered."

As Curse continued inspecting the beskar, trying to puzzle out how to get it off the corpse, the little scout droid returned and started hurling insults at her. //Quiet scrap.// The Pistoeka replied dismissively to the droid, keeping her photoreceptors focused on her prize. //I'm thinking...// She poked at the beskar a few more times. Clearly destroying it here and now wouldn't be feasible. She should have realized as much earlier. So the question instead became how she was going to get the whole breastplate off of the dead Nagai. Unfortunately that question wouldn't be answered now as Gett'se came in from behind and grabbed the buzz droid by one of her shell casings, lifting her into the air.

Suffice to say Curse did not respond well to this action, reflexively hissing and flailing her limbs wildly, trying to cut and stab at her assailant. A burst of fire from her plasma torch even licked at his armored gauntlets as he hurled her through the air. Without curling into her ball form the Pistoeka's flight path was less smooth than it should have been, with the droid landing and clinging on to the fleeing Nagai's back.

The pirate yelped in fright, and reached a hand over his shoulder to try and grab her. The very displeased buzz droid turned her ire on him unfortunately, burning his encroaching palm with her plasma torch. As he recoiled she pulled harshly on his long hair with one of her pincers while using her saw to cut through it, using her drill to stab at his neck. The Nagai stumbled and fell, giving the Pistoeka an elbow for her trouble and sending her tumbling off to the side before scrambling away from the little droid on his hands and knees, whimpering and missing half a head of hair, blood running down the side of his neck.

Curse jumped to her feet and chased after him, letting out a mechanical growl as she burned his heels. The Nagai managed to get back to his feet, dropping his weapons and making a break for it. As he fled the scene he began cursing and crying in some unrecognized language as he tore off a beskar bracer he had pilfered and threw it aside. Clearly he had learned his lesson. "Bloody droid!" He screeched while clutching his bleeding neck, disappearing down a corridor leading away from the fighting.

Curse opted not to pursue, instead making a beeline for the bracer he dropped. That was until she noticed another Mandalorian coming towards her with a war pick. And despite the masked face he looked decidedly less amused than the others. And that was saying something for Mandalorians. //Uh oh...// Curse warbled, and immediately changed course, skittering off in the opposite direction of the silver Mandalorian, looking for any sign of her companions to hide behind.

Srucayr would pause in his pursuit of the thief due to her fleeing from any beskar as well as the loud crashing sound. Diverting course, he'd come up between Kyp and Eisa, launching the warpick at the remaining pirate. The weapon would spin head over haft several times before a sickening thud accompanied the the pick side embedding between his eyes. As the head snapped back and the pirate crumpled, Srucayr would walk up to the corpse.

"Gar tal malyasa'yr sheber Kad b ne'waadas par jii." He muttered as he closed the gap to the corpse and gripping the haft firmly, would give the weapon a less then gentle tug, spraying brain matter, bone, and blood everywhere.

Music OOC

Down, down, down the pirate fell, his fervent farewell suddenly cut short as the duracrete silenced his scream. Whilst he took a tumble, though, his executioner floated toward the opposite direction. Reaching the sniper’s perch, Casany’s blasters swept over the area for any further tangos, though the dance had died upstairs even as the music blared below. There’s something. She grinned as her jetpack coughed a final breath and she crouched into the nest, her hand scooping up an object as prized as a mother’s egg. No simple sniper, hm? Going by the little flashing thing in her hand, her prey had been as much a scout as her own droid.

[“Rawl?”] Cass remembered on that note.

[“Y-Yes, Cass?”]

[“What the hell happened?”]

[“A farkling maniac of a BUZZ DROID happened, Cass!”]

She hesitated on how to respond on that note. Her droid sounded existent enough, at least, but with her latest intel that dynamic might soon shift. Moments later, after the battle died down like a sniper from a ledge, Cass reached her troupe; Mandalorians, every one of them so much more living than their Nagai victims.

There was a pair of grey beskars looming over a mangled pirate, whose one remaining eye had gone out moments before. Cass thought little of it as she addressed her companions, and anyone else in the area. By that point, she had already been brushed up on current affairs; Rawl, her Scout Droid, had since entered the scene and relayed the dread if dead pirate’s spilled beans over the comm. The Mandalorians, O this brave and brutal bunch, they had the whole scene on lockdown, the battle all but ended, but the war had just begun.

“Catch,” Cass called as she tossed a small something toward the very same vod who had helped her off the floor, while speaking to anyone who would listen. “Emergency beacon.” She eyed the one-eyed corpse. “I tend to have reservations about actual torture—a soul will say anything to get out of it—but this one appears to have spoken truth. That distress beacon sent a signal to said mile east, so our quarry not only knows we’re here but is waiting to welcome us.”

She shrugged. “That’s unless they come to us, but I doubt it. They have a ship and more to defend and, eh, other channels to broadcast as to the mighty Mandalorians who have spilled blood and thirst for more.”

Pausing, Cass stepped toward the dead Nagai, bowing her visor to his one naked eye that gazed up at a cracked ceiling of Royal Sundari which would not sympathize. “Oh well. This is the way... For a Mandalorian to stretch out toward the stars between planet and moon, squeezing her enemy’s soul in a fist, it is almost...mandatory?”
