Mission to Cyrillia

[Ral]

With a dismissive shake of his head, the young master sighed at his Padawan. He was sure that she didn't really realize what they she was actually saying. Whether it was the Force or adrenaline or some strong mix between the two she may not quite have realized how bad her wounds were. Giving her another frown and a look that said 'stop playing tough, it's not cute' he offered her his arm so he could lean on him. He let her hold onto the wood box as they walked. Shaking his head again, his frown growing deeper, he replied, "If it was broken you'd know. Probably wouldn't be walking right now. And having a broken leg is dangerous. If some of your bone marrow gets into your blood stream you could develop a fever and die without medicine, or if it got into your heart you could die that way too. You must have some innate healing with the Force and gotten really lucky when you set it, because you have perfect legs and don't walk funny either." Kai shrugged as they continued to walk out of the droid factory.

As Isabella began speaking of her vision, Kai hummed to himself while the teenage girl described what she saw of the temple. When she was finished he nodded, his expression curious and a little worried, but also thoughtful and very intrigued. "Well, that's quite a tale you've got there. I wonder if that woman is a family member. Ancestor, maybe even your mother..." He paused when he realized what that might mean to her. "You shouldn't dwell onto it too much. If you're thinking about this... ghost, all the time, then you won't be paying attention, focusing on the Force all around you. You have a guardian angel it looks like. That's good, but don't divert more thought to it than is wise, lest you will fall behind on your path to knighthood. Just the way you describe her makes her sound like someone who was very important to you, even if you don't consciously remember it. It... it's why I think she may be your mother." With that Kai stopped and gave Isabella another embrace, this one tighter and more compassionate as he truly understood what it meant to not know a parent and then find out something about them. "I'm here for you if you need to talk about it." He stated. Moving on again, "The temple sounds like it might be the one from Tython, though it could he anywhere I suppose. You have any inklings?"

Isabella saw his look and put her head down a little ashamed. It honestly hurt alot, but she didn't like to complain about her problems. I guess you could say she was a little bit of introvert and extrovert all together. She wasn't trying to be cute as she was just stubborn and thought she didn't need help. She decided that trying to tough her way out of things wasn't going to work with her master. He obviously knew her a little bit better than she really thought... even though she did tell him everything about her."I'm sorry for being so stubborn. I'm used to being told to tough it out and move on. I generally don't complain about wounds. Plus the way I fell back there after being cut and jumping, my leg did feel a little weird. Not just because of the lightsaber burn." She hoped this didnt freak him out. When she finally let her guard down to her injuries she felt that her leg wasn't normal at all. Seeing him offering his arm to her, she gladly hopped a little and accepted his help.

She looked up at her master as they walked further out and she finished explaining what she saw. Isabella nodded until he said that the lady she said may have been her mom. She stopped breathing for a second and looked at him with widened eyes. Isabella then looked down quickly and then back to him with a small tear in her eye. "I... I honestly felt who that was, but I thought that it may have been a sister if I ever had one... I think you are right though." She said accepting his hug, hugging him back. "You're all I know, you're the only one I can go to Kai." She stated simply. When they started moving again she sniffed away the tears and nodded to what he said next. "No, I think it may have been Tython. Because I was in the same place as I saw in one of the holocrons you gave me." She replied.

"Isabella..." Kai's voice was the sound of a disappointed parent. It was quite obvious that the young Jedi was not pleased to hear what Isabella was saying. Not that he was mad at her, but he was about as worried as when a parent found out their child hurt themselves and refused to tell them until it was almost too late. Hearing that her leg felt funny immediately caused Kai to stop and stare, almost deadpan, at Isabella, but also very clearly with a slight edge of annoyed disappointment. Sighing, he spoke, "Did I not tell you ten minutes ago that we're a family? Come to me when you're hurt and I can help you! What if we got into another fight?! That could have made it worse, you could have collapsed and then I'd have had to protect you!" He frowned at the teenager, he didn't blame her as she was obviously not used to this yet, but he has hoped that she would have realized that she was like family to him and that she wouldn't have kept that from him. Shaking his head he swept her off her feet bridal style, carrying her bridal style. If she tried to argue then he'd just shoot her a look that said he's not putting her down, and she can deal with it.

"Could have been your sister," he remarked when he hugged her, still awkwardly holding her but making it work as he held her tightly in an embrace. Hearing that he was the only one she had, all she knew, the only one she could go to, Kai's heart went out to this teenage girl. He wanted to hold her close and never let her go, he wanted to keep her by his side all the time. Kai made no attempt to hide his feelings through the Force, if Isabella was really interested and really wanted to she could sense his feelings and she'd know. "Oh Isabella..." He sighed, "I..." He wanted to say more, but he wasn't sure it was the right time, despite what he felt for this young girl, despite wanting to help her, to be there with her, to protect her, despite what she was to him then, he didn't want to do something rash. They needed more time together before he would say what he really wanted to say. "I know. Just trust me. I want to be family to you, but you need to realize what it means to be a Jedi and my apprentice." Smiling when he learned that she apparently had gone over some of the old temples and agreed she saw the Tython temple he gave her a reassuring nod. "I wonder why you saw it then..."

Isabella looked guilty when he said her name the way he did. He was disappointed and he had the right to be. Isabella had chosen not to tell him, and now she had the right of being yelled at. "I'm sorry..." She said quietly, looking to the ground. She saw Kai stop and gave her a look and she sensed his annoyance and disappointment. "Yes... you did. I.. I promise, I won't do this again. I'm going to do my best if there is ever a next time, to tell you." She said. Isabella saw his frown and she realized that she had made a more than huge mistake. As he picked her up she gasped, not being picked up like that before and once he picked her up she put one arm around his shoulder and then put her head down next to her arm on his shoulder. She was going to protest, but she figured it would be of no use.

She sensed that he wasn't holding his feelings for her, back at the moment and took it in, realizing they had grown a love for each other. But it was more of a fatherly bond and Isabella didn't mind one bit. She then heard him start to say something but didn't finish. She looked up at him from their hug and gave him a loo that said 'go on, tell me' . She had sensed that he thought that what he was about to say was something he wasn't ready to talk about. "I do trust you." She then heard him say that he wanted to be family with her and she stopped looking up at him again. "I know what you mean.. and I know I'll get a hang of this soon, I've been doing my best in making sure I don't get anything wrong, but if I don't get things wrong, I can never be right." She said not really realizing what she had said from her own mouth. She then thought about the Temple on Tython again and also wondered why she could have been seeing this. Was it because she was studying about it and just happened to be there? Who knows? "I'm not sure..." She responded.

 

[Ral]

"I..." he started looking at her before looking away. "Good, just remember that, because I will as well, and I don't like it when people break their promises to me, you got it?" With a sigh, he started moving with her in his arms. She was fairly light, probably barely weighed over a hundred pounds. He'd need to get her to gain some weight. Right now a Sith could toss her around like a ragdoll with the Force or without. Feeling her arm around him, and her head against his shoulder as they walked felt comforting, like Isabella was actually accepting him and his role as her master and her guardian. Despite the look she gave him, Kai shook his head, he'd keep his thoughts to himself for now. Not that he approved of keeping secrets, but he wanted to make sure they were both ready for what he had to say, and he wasn't sure if he was yet or not.

Hearing her voice tell him she trusted him caused him to blush a little. When she had finished, he hummed, "I'm not expecting you to be right all the time my dear Isabella, but when I tell you to tell me these things, that is supposed to be the lesson! That's when you're supposed to get it wrong and learn and never do it again!" Kai realized he was being too harsh with her, of course she was expected, allowed even, to make mistakes, he realized he just cared for her too much perhaps, his hopes were so high, that he didn't want something terrible to happen to her. With a sigh, he wiped one of the tears that had formed, and looked away. "I'm sorry," he finally said. "I'm not a parent, I'm not your parent, but I am your teacher, I'm supposed to look after you and protect you until I know you can protect yourself without me. I know you'll get this all soon, I know it's not easy transitioning from how you were to what a Jedi is supposed to be, coming into the family so to speak. I believe in you, and I know you'll be fine. We just need to work on you not being so self-reliant!" He smiled at her.

They had just reached their ship when she told him she wasn't sure why she saw what she saw. Shrugging as best as he could with her on his shoulders, he lowered the ramp and started walking up. "I dunno either. Guess the Force will reveal it in time." He took her to the med bay and set her down on the bed in there. Setting one of the computers to scan her injured leg, Kai got to work on her other injuries using the medkit available. Using a bacta ointment and his own skill in Force Healing, Kai did his best to heal up her shoulder. As he worked, he talked to her, trying to get to focus on anything other than what he was doing, "Alright, well, we can't exactly go to Tython, it's in the middle of Sith space, and we'd have to get bast Coruscant... I have another Jedi temple in mind though, if you want to go there and see if you can learn anything else... Turn around, I'm going to get your back." He remarked as had her lift up her top so he could start putting the bacta ointment on her cuts, and using the Force to aid in the restoration. When he was done he went to grab the scanner of her leg. "Minor fracture," with a sigh he shook his head and got out an injector. "I'm going to have to set it, this is for the pain," he stated as he offered to give her something to numb her leg, but it wouldn't make her high or knock her out. "You might want to hold on, dear." He continued speaking, "The temple is on Galtea's moon, it's a small place, but I think you'll be happy to know it's very alive with the Force. It's actually where I got my own personal holocron. And passed one of my trials for knighthood."

Using the Force, Kai grabbed Isabella's leg with his hands and pulled, using the Force to set the bones into the correct position. No doubt it would still hurt, but hopefully not as bad. Taking out a cast looking tube, he fit it around his padawans leg before filling it with bacta. "There, few hours and you should be good as new!"

She noticed him lost for words for a second until he finally said something. "Believe me, I more than understand. I feel the same way about breaking promises." She said a little bit quieter. She understood that he had been worried for her.

Being so lose to him, Isabella saw his blush and started to smile. Her smile stayed until he started to get more firm with what he was saying and her smile started to fade into a small frown of shame. She realized that this was all out of worry and that he was worrying a little about her. Her response was just a little nod until she heard him apologize. "It's ok. I deserve it. I was a fool and never told you." She said quietly. She listened as he mentioned that he wasn't her parent, but her teacher and she knew that. "I know.." only a whisper came from her that time. She saw hi smile and a small one started coming to her face again.

She felt him shrugging hi shoulders and watched as the ramp to his ship came down. "I guess so." She responded. As he set her down on the bed, she watched as he went to grab the scanner and put it on her leg. She had never really seen things like that before and just acted like it was all normal. She was watching what he was doing with her shoulder until he started talking to her. "Yeah, seeing the Temple would be interesting. Maybe it could have been one other than Tython but we don't know." She said as she then lifted up the back of her shirt so he could heal her back. She looked at him as he looked at the scanner reporting that she had a minor fraction. At least she had the proper care to be able to have it taken care of this time. She nodded as she saw the injector, her eyes widening quickly but then looked normal again. She wasn't a fan of needles, but he had to do something, and he was offering to lessen the pain so she nodded again as she let him use it. He told her that she may want to hold on and she nodded doing what he suggested. Her eyes widened with excitement as he mentioned that the Temple was on a moon and that was where he got his first trial to be a Jedi. "Oh wow!" She said in response to what he was explaining.

She wasn't focusing on what he was doing until he pulled on her leg to set it. She clenched her jaw instead of letting out a hiss of pain. Although it didn't hurt too much, it still hurt a little. She then watched as he pulled out a cast and placed it on her leg filling it with the bacta. She then gave him a tiny smile and nodded. "Thank you." She said.

 

[Ral]

It was good that she acknowledged most of what he said. Kai felt much better knowing they were on the same page and trusted Isabella to keep her promise to him. He hoped that they would have some better communication, and that she wouldn't feel the need to keep things to herself because she could only rely in herself. Isabella was young, headstrong, independent, attractive, and of course smart; all good things for a woman to be, especially a girl of her age. Kai was just worried that she'd not remember she could work with others, to come to them and support them.

Answering her remark on the temple he smiled, "We'll figure it out, just trust in the Force. I know you can do that, it's partly what makes you such a good Jedi!"

"Mhm," he hummed back to her response of his description of the temple. He began placing the bacta casing around her leg which would immobilize it and prevent her from walking on it. Well, prevent her from walking without falling over. Sitting down on a stool he place his hands on top of hers and looked into her bright beautiful blue eyes. "You're welcome." The young Jedi gave her a smile before he moved on. "So, what do you think of that little mission we just went on, huh? Do you have any questions? I know you wanted to talk about your power. Is there anything else you wanted to talk about?"

As he sat across from her, Kai waited to see if Isabella would say anything to him, or if he should just start talking. So, he sat there looking into her eyes, studying her pretty face, and reached out to touch her presence in the Force to see what she was thinking.

Isabella could tell that they were already on a better path as she sensed he felt better and his shoulders weren't as stiff as they were when he'd found out she was badly hurt more than he had known. She had relied on herself for so long, that she didn't realize how she needed to rely on him now, because he was there for her, and she wasn't alone anymore.

She smiled when he said that they'd figure it out and why she made such a great Jedi. "Well, if it wasn't for you, I probably wouldn't be so great."

She watched as he placed more bacta on her leg. Isabella then looked to her hands seeing his on hers. Blushing slightly, she returned the smile and listened as he asked a question on her thoughts of the mission. "It was pretty crazy to be honest. But, I loved it because we were together and it was adventurous and dangerous at the same time. It was truly perfect even if I got hurt." She said he smile fading a little on the last part. "But yes, I still would like to talk about the new ability. But I don't exactly have anything else on mind though." She replied.

She noticed as he was looking into her eyes and she looked into his own deep dark colored eyes.

 

[Ral]

With a simple, but somewhat wry smile, Kai glanced at his Padawan as she commented that without him she wouldn't be so great. It was a kind thing for her to say, even though he felt that he didn't deserve such praise from her. Shaking his head slightly as though to dismiss her compliment he replied, "Oh, now you're just being too kind, my dear. The truth is you don't need me. You are already great, I'm just here to show you the path and make sure you don't stumble and hurt yourself." He chuckled humorously at the teenager, giving her a gentle rub on the head. "Just don't let that head of yours get too big."

Seeing her blush, Kai worried that he might have overstepped some unspoken boundary and embarrassed Isabella or made her uncomfortable somehow, though he wasn't sure how or why. Taking a few seconds he realized he was just probably overreacting and calmed down again. Listening to the young woman speak of their experience, Kai found himself laughing lightly at her remark, and nodding in agreement. When she finished, he gave her a warm and endearing smile. "Well, I think I'm in agreement with you," he answered as he looked into her blue eyes. "I think I rather enjoyed that adventure, even if it was pretty crazy, and I have no doubt it was because I loved the company I was with. As for you getting hurt..." his voice trailed off to her leg then back to her face as he gave her hands a squeeze. "It'll make for some good stories down the road, I think!"

"Now," he remarked as he got a bit more settled for their talk. "Your power, it's interesting that's for sure. I've never really tried to manifest ice or snow, so this is something unique to you in that you were capable of manifesting it like that. It's not a bad thing, of course, just means that it's really up to you to learn how to control it. I can help, but only to give suggestions and remind you of things when you get frustrated. Do you have any questions about it? Otherwise, I'd say just listen to the Force, focus yourself, and try and recreate what you did before when you first used it!"

Isabella saw his little smile and couldn't resist also smiling. Even if he thought he didn't need any praise he'd have to deal with it, because that's what she thought. When he said she didn't need him, her heart sunk a little. She never wanted to leave him. "Kai, I think you know you mean a little more to me than just teaching me and then you're gone." Her smile started to return when he rubbed his hand on her head and told her to not let it get too big. "I'm not an alien. It's not like it could get 100 times bigger." She giggled.

She knew Kai had seen her blush, and she sensed he was worrying about something but he apparently decided to not worry about it. She just wondered what it was. He hadn't gone too far, she just found him charming. She heard his laugh and giggled with him also seeing his smile again."Well. its good to know you agree." She teased scrunching her nose up at him real quick, teasing him. She smiled more when he mentioned that he was loving the company he had while on the mission. "Yeah, they could make pretty good stories. Do you think, they'll end up staying there as scars or will they go away completely?" She asked curiously.

She listened to what he was saying carefully, taking it all in. She nodded when he finished. "No, no questions yet, but there probably will be soon. {rpbably next time I accidently use it again." She stated with a small smile.

Through the Force, Kai could see that she felt a little disappointed when he told her she didn't really need him. It was written across her face, and he was rather surprised to get the feeling that Isabella wanted to stay with him forever. He almost wanted to ask why she felt that way, but he figured he'd rather enjoy the mystery for the time being, unless Isabella felt that it was drastically important to tell him right then and there. As she spoke he looked at her straight in her big blue eyes, a slight smile on his face which turned into a laughing grin when she told him she wasn't an alien. "Oh just a little, huh? Well then, I see I clearly don't mean all that much to you!" He was clearly teasing with her. "And how do I know you're not an alien. Some of them can shapeshift ya know! Maybe you're one of them, maybe you're a changling! Can you change? Well, can you?" He began to poke her face like he was trying to get her to shift form.

Seeing Isabella scrunch her nose up at him he smiled and commented, "Your face is going to get stuck like that if you keep doing it, ya know?" When she asked him about the scars he shrugged. "Bacta does a miracle, but if you want one we can remove the cast early and give you something you can point to when telling those stories." He winked at her playfully. Kai then have her an up and down bob of the head when she told him she understood, "Good, well, you can always try and use it now. Well maybe not in here but in the cargo bay. It would be good practice!"

Deep inside of her little mind, she knew Kai was looking through her with the force, not to mention she let him. When he said that he must not mean that much to her, she gave a him a look and took her arms and wrapped them around him in a big hug. "You mean everything to me!!" She giggled. Isabella knew he was teasing but she hugged him anyway because she wanted to.

Once she let go a minute before he started poking at her face she gave a little smile. "I ain't no alien!! Maybe you can shapeshift!" She then made silly faces as he poked in different spots. She then decided it was time for humorous revenge. Isabella moved close enough and started poking his face to see if he would shapeshift.

She saw his smile and giggled. "It can only get that stuck if you're on Hoth. It'll freeze your face in place." She said with another giggle. When she heard his suggestion about the scars, she gave a small smile. "Nah, I was only asking. Not saying I wanted one, just asking." She said, her smile widening. Isabella nodded when he said that she could practice the ice and she got a mischievous look on her face. In her mind she imagined a lightsaber hilt that was very much like hers, and she put her hands together, closing her eyes. Next thing she knew, there was an ice replica of one of her sabers. "Had to try it." She noticed it was a little frosty and she handed it to Kai so he could look at it. It had almost every detail her lightsaber had.

 

[Ral]

With a smile on his face, Kai hugged Isabella back, holding her back with one hand, and with his other hand he rubbed her brown hair. "You mean everything to me as well, Bells, my dear," he laughed lightly as he squeezed her tightly before she let go. When she gave him a smile as he poked her face, he shrugged at her reply, "Maybe I can!" He said ridiculously as he stuck his tongue out at her. "How are you going to find out?" He gave her a wink as she started to poke his face in return.

"Well, maybe we should take you to Hoth then!" He laughed with her as she giggled. Nodding at her when she replied that she didn't want a scar, he gave her a little shrug then a playful smile. "Oh? You don't want a scar? But it would be sooo hot!" His voice was quite obviously sarcastic, meant to playfully poke fun at his young apprentice. Watching silently as she drew on the Force, Kai excitedly anticipated what would happen next. Much to his delight, Isabella created an ice sculpture of one of her lightsaber hilts. Giving her a happy nod when she told him she had to try he laughed, "I'm glad you did. Keep it up, you might get really good with it."

Isabella smiled back, feeling his embrace in return. She had smiled even wider when he said that she also meant just as much to him. She giggled with him in return. She laughed at his statement as he stuck his tounge out at her. "Maybe, your face is going to stick like that if you keep doing it!!" She giggled more letting out a stream of giggles. When he asked how she was going to find out, she tried to make a mischievous face, but humorously failed as she couldnt stop laughing. "I have my ways!!!!" She said hysterically.

"It would be nice and cool..." She thought about that a little more thoroughly. Isabella then started laughing really hard again when he said that a scar would be really hot. "Is that so???" She asked with more sarcasm in her voice. As she made the replica for Kai, she sensed his excitement which made her smile. "This should actually last for a long time I think. I had a friend a loooooong time ago do it. I'm surprised I never remembered. She had said that things like this, should last a lifetime. It's like a never ending piece of candy, but instead it's ice. And it's for you." She said after she handed it to him.

 

[Ral]

When she told him that his face was going to get stuck like that he simply retorted, "Yeah? Well, I'll still be better looking then you!" The pair of them seemed to be enjoying themselves as well as a shared giggling fit as Kai couldn't help but laugh himself to tears with Isabella. If there was one thing he knew about Isabella, it was probably how infectious her laugh was. Shaking his head at her remark about having her ways he just kept laughing. "Well, if that's true I want to see these ways otherwise I'm not gonna believe it!"

Snickering he gave a sigh, "Nice and cool? Was that a joke? Were you trying to make a pun? Are you trying to be punny? That's shameful. Terrible. You're better than that, you can do sooo much better than that, c'mon girl." Kai enjoyed that Isabella found his teasing comment to be so funny, and judging by how hard she was laughing she must have found it to be hysterical. Nodding at her question, "Totally. It would make you like two hundred times hotter. Scars do that. Don't you know? I have a couple of my own in fact. You're just not cool enough to see them." He winked back at Isabella. Looking to the piece of ice shaped like her lightsaber hilt, he took it into his hand with a thankful and polite smile. It was gorgeous, despite how cold it was. "It's beautiful Isabella, but I don't know... thank you. I'll keep it as a momento of our bond and friendship, and hopefully as a reminder if everything that we have yet to do." He placed a hand on her cheek, giving it a light tap.

Isabella scrunched her nose up again making another face at him. "Oh Really?? You'll look better than me?? uh-uh, I don't think so! I mean you'll look good, but not as pretty as me!!" She giggled more in response, retorting back to him. She giggled more and more until he put her to a challenge. "Oh, was that a challenge??? Because if it is, CHALLENGE ACCEPTED!!!!!" She said with a funny look on her face. She then used the force, making his hair stick straight up in the air. "Hm, you're good." She said sarcastically. When she stopped pulling on the force, his hair dropped back down to his head and Isabella laughed really hard.

Isabella shook her head, still laughing. "Maybe I was!! Being Punny is so funny because funny can be punny and if you're not funny, you must not be punny!" She said quickly, not skipping a beat when she said it. Her face was straight for a second and then she burst out laughing again. Isabella nodded with her eyebrows raised. "Oh not cool enough now, aye? I have a few where the new scratches and scrapes are. You just didn't see them." She stated. She watched as Kai observed her ice lightsaber. She saw his smile and smiled back. "I'm glad you like it."

 

[Ral]

"Pfft," Kai made a face at Isabella as she tried to give him a retort, "Well you can think what you'd like, I know better though, 'cause it's a fact. Ya know." He winked at her as he kept laughing more. "It is a challenge, because I know you can't do it!" The young man answered as Isabella started using the Force to play with his hair. Giving her a disapproving look he waved his hand making her brown hair become undone and stand on end before curling into a heart shape on her head. "I can do it, too! See? I'm still not sure about you, though." Kai scoffed as he released her hair as she released his. The master felt that fuzzy warm feeling in his chest as he grinned at Isabella. "Come here you," he remarked as he pulled the young girl into another hug, a tight warm embrace resting his cheek on the top of her head. "I meant what I said, though. You do mean a lot to me... I wouldn't want to lose you."

"You know what they say, she who would pun would pick a pocket," He teased back at her, shaking her head at the overuse of the word punny. "You'll have to rhyme better than that if you want to impress me, Bella, dear." He rubbed her hair again as he gave her a wink, shaking his head at her when she mentioned the scars on her back. "Maybe I did see them and just didn't say anything 'cause they weren't cool enough." Laughing he gave a little sigh, "I do like it," he picked her up from the table, "Let's get out of here, eh? I think we're done with our mission." Kai remarked as he started carrying her to the cockpit.

Isabella giggled when Kai made a face at her. "Oh, yeah uh huh. I know." She said sarcastically. When she messed with his hair, she saw his look and only gave a more determined look."Well, if you were the alien I thought you could be, your hair would have come out." That was, until he started messing with hers. She felt it coming out of its ponytail and twisting into something. She looked up crosseyed, her hair long enough for her to be able to see it. Bella saw that her hair was twisted into a heart and she looked back at Kai, narrowing her eyes playfully. She felt a warm feeling between the two at that moment, When he said for her to go to him, she immediately got as close as possible, and wrapped her arms around him tightly. She felt his cheek on the top of her head and she smiled. "I don't wanna lose you either."

She looked at Kai when he said a little line. "I think you just came up with that. But it's viable. I have picked pockets before." She gigged slightly. "Imperial pockets..." She said remembering the Agent who would specifically wait for her and try to capture her when they thought they both weren't looking. Isabella shook her head when he said that another thing wasn't cool. "Not cool enough again, aye??" she said giggling one last time as he then came, picking her up and taking her to the cockpit. Isabella snuggled in a little bit until they would get to the cockpit. she put her arms around him and laid her head on his shoulder again.

Smiling warmly and widely at Isabella, Kai enjoyed the moments they were making together, enjoyed the close-knitted sense of belonging he got from her, and he was sure by now, her from him. It felt good to hear Isabella say those words again, that she didn't want to lose him, even if he knew it, even if he knew she had said it before, he would still relish hearing her voice say those words. Rubbing her back with one of his hands, Kai just delighted in having her close to him. Even though she was still a young soul in Kai's eyes, Isabella seemed to connect on him in some manner through the Force, a manner that managed to help balance him out and bring him back from his jadedness.

"I did not, it's a well known saying. At least from where I come it is. People don't like puns if you're born into high society. They tend to turn their noses up at it," He explained, laughing lightly, a smile still on his face. Nodding back at Isabella, he replied, "Yeah, you need at least five more 'cool points' before I'll consider you cool." He winked at her. As he picked her up, he found her snuggling up against him as he held her across his front. Feeling her arms around him and her head on his shoulder he smiled, "Comfortable much?" He asked, slightly teasing, "Do you want to sit with me while I pilot the ship, too? I mean, you just seem so comfortable I wouldn't want to ruin it." He stuck his tongue out at her again. Even though he was teasing her about letting her sit in his lap while he flew, he'd let her make her own choices. She was old enough for that he deemed.

Isabella seemed to find that they were pretty unseparable. She sensed that he was happy to hear what she said. It was true though, she never wanted to lose him. He seemed to be her long lost family. Entire family. He made up for all of the years she lived without a family. She felt his hand rubbing her back and she smiled again. He was definitely more than her master to her.

"Hm, well, guess I just never heard it. Or I haven't heard in a long time." She smiled slightly when he mentioned that people born into a high society hated puns. "Well, theyre gonna have to learn how to be not so stiff." She responded her smile widening a little bit. Isabella nodded at his little comment. "Yeah ok." She giggled as she saw his wink. After he picked her up and started walking with her, he asked if she was comfortable. "Yesh, I am comfortable." She said keeping her head on his shoulder. "I would sit with you while you pilot.. but isnt that dangerous if you need to reach something quickly, but have me in the way on your lap??" She asked.
