The whining discharge of a blaster pistol resounded off the walls of the narrow industrial corridor. In return, almost like an answer to the firing of the blaster pistol, the snap-hiss of a lightsaber blade joined in. A second later the energy ricocheted off into a nearby metal panel. Jedi Master Kai Sera was standing in the middle of the corridor next to his apprentice @Isabella Rae Jarrus with the silver blade of his lightsaber activated. Ahead of them was an antiquated battle droid with its blaster drawn trying to kill them. It fired again, the scarlet bolt flying through the air towards the pair of them. Taking a step forward, Kai's boot clapping against the cold and dusty metal floor. Swing his lightsaber at the blaster bolt, the master deflected it back into the droid, hitting it in its weapon and blasting its metal claws off, disabling it and preventing it from firing back at them again. Taking a moment to breathe, Kai looked back at Isabella. "You alright?"

They had gone there because there were rumors of people disappearing in the old ruins of a droid factory, other rumors that ghosts now lived there, or more realistic rumors that someone had just moved into the ruins and was trying to start up the factory for personal gain again. They were there to validate any truth to the rumors and find out what happened to the lost people. So far, though, they'd been attacked out of no where by an ages old droid. Who knew what else they would run into down there. Kai wasn't going to take any chances, especially not with Isabella standing there with him. Kai had taken the young girl because he wanted to get to know her better and to see how well she did out in the field, and hopefully to help make her a better Jedi in the process. He hoped that with a little real risk he'd get her to come out of her shell a little and see what kind of Jedi Knight she would be.

"Well, Isabella, what do you think?" Kai asked as he approached the disabled droid. Looking down at it with equal parts curiosity and caution in his deep grey eyes. Humming to himself he looked back at the tall, and still surprisingly young teenage girl. "Think this will be an exciting mission?"

Isabella was dodging blaster bullets as they were being fired. Whoever was inhabiting this old dusty place was serious about privacy. The hall Master Kai and Isabella were in, was quite narrow, but with enough space for the two to be able to move around the blasts being shot at them. Both of her sabers were ignited, creating a blue and green glow on the metal walls. More blasts were fired at them as Master Kai stepped forward making a sound on the flooring blocking a blast back at the droid and Isabella blocked two more at the same time back at it before he stepped forward disabling the droid.

When she heard Master Kai's question, her eyes widened tilting her head to the side real quick with a breath before she responded. "Yeah, Im fine Master. Whoever activated that thing is serious about privacy for whatever reason." She said with another sigh. The rumors on the place were quite appealing to the padawan and she had been quite excited to join Master Kai on this mission. The rumors of people disappearing left questions in her mind. Also when one rumor was that someone was trying to reopen the factory. She thought it would be the clone wars all over again.

"Well. First I think that droid is pretty old to be working considering it was already falling apart. But I do think this mission will be pretty awesome." She said with a smile.

"Just call me Kai, Isabella. No need to stand on formal ceremony with me. I thought I told you that?" Kai furrowed his eyebrows at the thought, "In any case, I think you're definitely right. Whoever has set up shop in this old factory definitely doesn't want people to come snooping around. There definitely might be some credence to the rumor that the disappearances are caused by someone taking up shop here. Now the real question is for what purpose has this person decided to set up shop in this old abandoned factory?" Kai hummed as he looked back at Isabella, giving her a shrug and a smile before taking a step forward. The Jedi Master could feel his student's excitement through the Force, and it was getting rather infectious as he himself was starting to feel a little excited about the whole proposition of unraveling a dangerous mystery.

As Isabella spoke again, her words caused Kai to grin with amusement. Letting out a bit of a laugh he nodded. "Aye, I definitely think you have a point there. I will have to agree that the droid was pretty old, and I think the mission will be awesome. But I think that last part is because I'll have good company with me," the dark-haired Jedi threw a playful wink at the teenage girl before turning around and taking another step forward. The droid had been guarding a portal to another room. It looked like an old mess hall for the factory's workers. Something that hasn't been used for ages by the looks of it, and from there three other passages split off from it, not including the small kitchen. Turning back to his Padawan he smiled. "Alright, time to use that training. Where does the Force tell you we should go?"

"Yeah. You did say that. I thought it was proper to say that." she smiled again. She nodded as Kai was agreeing with her on the privacy thing. "I wonder if the Empire has something to do with this. Or an old clone?" She said. Isabella was a little confused on this one but more often than not, the Empire had something to do with things like this. She then saw his wink and smile and she smiled back as they decided to continue on.

Isabella heard his laugh after her comment, keeping the smile on her face. His next comment made her blush a little. "Well, I'd have to say about the same to you. We can make a pretty good team." She replied. Isabella looked at him after her reply, seeing his wink. She watched as they came to an old area that split into three other rooms. She looked around a little confused. It was silent for a minute until Kai broke the silence and said it was time to put her training into use. "hm ok." She said with a smile. Isabella closed her eyes and let the force tell her which hall they needed to go down. The feeling wavered from each of the three halls until it stopped at one of the halls speaking out to her of where they needed to go. "The middle one. That's the one." She said almost impressed with how that worked.

Shrugging back at Isabella when she asked of this was the Empire's doing or that of an old clone. Kai certainly couldn't discount the possibility without more evidence, it just seemed unlikely to him. After a few moments of thought he replied, "It's possible, but to be honest, I'd find it hard to believe that the Empire would try to establish a droid factory here. It's too far across the border, and with the Rebels beating them back in almost every battle I would think it would be hard to get the resources to send people across the border for an operation like that. It's entirely possible that an old clone is taking up residence here, but my guess is that we're dealing with outlaws, or maybe rogue dark side Force users who are looking to take advantage of the war and the chaos. I just don't see why a clone would do it, unless they were trying to be a problem. But, I guess we'll see who really is behind all of this soon, huh?" Kai remarked with a slight chuckle.

Seeing her blush, Kai chuckled a little more as he placed a hand on her shoulder and gave it a gentle squeeze. "Well thank you, but I'm pretty sure it's all you. You make it all better." His voice was fairly teasing, like the way an older sibling would poke at a younger one. Still, in spite of his playfulness, Kai was being perfectly serious with Isabella. She was the one that was making the mission fun for him. "But you are right, we do make a pretty good team. Let's hope that remains true forever, huh?" He gave her slender shoulder one last squeeze before removing his hand and waiting for her to use the Force to pick a direction. When she chose the middle he nodded, and with a playful look said, "Remind me never to take you to an actual maze. Everyone knows the middle option is a trap." Kai winked at her to show that he was joking, in case the obvious teasing tone wasn't enough, and took a step towards the middle passageway.

As they started down the middle passage, they made it only five meters in before trap doors opened on either side and diminutive and ancient pit droids popped out of the concealed hiding places holding plasma torches and hold out blasters. And there were a lot of them as they started to rush towards the pair of Jedi. Swinging his lightsaber in a wide arc, severing several hands and legs, Kai called back to Isabella, "I don't think these guys wanna be our friends!"

Isabella smiled back at Kai when he commented on her thought of the Empire. "It's not impossible though. If the Empire are sending dark force sensitives to here, thinking that the rebels wouldn't know about it, they probably could be working on a base here for the sith." She suggested. Isabella knew that it now probably wasn't the Imperial side of the Empire, but the sith. Who knew though? "Yeah I guess we will find out." She smiled.

She felt his hand on her shoulder which made her smile when he said it was all her that would make the mission the best. "Yes, I hope we can remain a great team. And I think it will remain forever." Isabella said smiling again. She looked over to him waiting for his response on the middle passage. When he said the complete opposite of what se thought he was going to say, she looked somewhat stunned shaking her head slightly and giggling. "Well, the middle could be either way. It could be a trap, or it could lead to glory." She used a little bit of improv, dramatizing the last part of her sentence about glory. There was no way she could take his joke seriously, so she had to have a come back on that one.

As they started walking down the hall she sensed something wasn't right, right before they fell into trap doors. She gasped as she let out a small shriek before landing hard on the ground. She saw the droids circling around them as she pulled her sabers off her belt igniting them. "You had to jinx us didn't you?" She asked trying to be a little sarcastic still. (Kind of how Anakin would to Obi-wan) She shuttered when she saw plasma torches and blasters. The plasma torches are what made her a little more on edge. She heard Kai's remark on how the droids didn't seem to wanna be friends. "No, I don't think so! My only question is what happens next!" she said cutting open a few droids.

"No, it's not impossible," Kai agreed as he shook his head, "I just find it improbable. The Sith are in the same boat as the Empire, really. Besides, they'd have to know that somebody would come investigate if they did it... Although, I suppose it's possible they trained some dark side users enough then sent them here as a sort of independent warrior. They're not really Sith, but they can use the dark side and they're doing things at the request of the Sith..." It was an amusing thought, smiling he nodded, "Good thinking there, Isabella."

Kai knew there was a reason they made a good team, and why he liked the teenage girl so much. She would be a good apprentice, and an even better Jedi knight once she was trained and came of age. Nodding at her when she talked about being a team, he simply added, "Oh, don't worry, I'm more than certain we will. I have faith in you, and the Force, and it's telling me you're going to be something special one day."

Laughing with Isabella when she started giggling and made the comment about the middle path leading them to glory, Kai shook his head with her and smiled. "Now now, let's not focus on trying to gain glory. That's a slippery slope to the dark side," Kai's voice was only half way serious, it was obvious they were just playing with each other, and he didn't want to step on their moment by being too serious, so he added, "But I suppose a little bit of glory wouldn't hurt."

Inside the passageway, Kai had his lighsaber out and swinging in tight efficient circles cutting away droid arms and deflecting blaster bolts. The dark haired Jedi had no idea where these droids got this sort of equipment from, but he wasn't exactly eager to find out at the moment. Perhaps once they took care of this invariable swarm of DUM pit droids they could spend a few minutes investigating, but for now, it was all about survival. Hearing Isabella make a sarcastic comment to him, Kai smiled, "Well, of course, I knew you would get bored if I didn't jinx us. Have to keep you on your toes after all, otherwise this would be a half-way wasted mission!" And when she answered his remark he laughed this time, "I think we'll figure that out once we get out of here! For now, let's just cut our way out of these droids. You with me?" He asked as he started to gather up the Force, focusing it into his hand and blasting it outwards in a wide arc of pulsating green electricity which would fry all the pit droids in front of him. Electric judgment would be a power well beyond Isabella's skill level, but she could easily focus enough Force power to throw all the fragile pit droids back against the walls and away from them giving them some room.

"Yeah, that's true." She stated giving a smile. "And thanks. Guess I have my thoughts don't I?" She smirked. She giggled more as Kai mentioned that glory could lead them to the dark side. "It very well could if the force led me down the right path. Plus I thought it was pride that took you to the Dark side." She smiled still taking it on a sarcastic level. She was definitely trying to be quick with the jokes, which did seem to work a little bit.

Isabella smiled at his next comment. "You really think I'll be special?" she asked curiously. She knew he meant it, but she asked anyway.

Isabella continued cutting at droids, their arms flying to the ground after slicing them off. She heard Kais response to her sarcastic comment. "Well, thats very thoughtful of you as long as it's not painful!" She said as she sliced another droid in half. One got too close to her, grabbing her shoulder and squeezing very very tightly. "Gah!" She winced in pain as she turned, punching the droid in the chest, leaving a huge dent in its old dusty armor which also made her shoulder make a snapping sound, but the droid never budged, so she decided it was time for a new move that would probably hurt worse than the droid squeezing at her shoulder, but she had to do it. "Alright droid I get it my shoulder is bony, but I didn't give you permission to touch it!" She said turning around, punching the droid very hard, the sound ricocheting off the walls as the circuits of the droid suddenly fried from her punch. She then tilted her head to the side quickly with a sigh before force pushing the ten droids away from her. She then looked at him blocking a blast before replying to his last question. "Of course I'm with you, master. And yes I did say master." She smiled turning back using the wall to bounce off of it to slaughter the droids she just force pushed backwards.

"I guess you do, don't you?" He agreed with her, his voice still as playful as before. When she made her rather sarcastic remark about pride being the thing that took one to the dark side, Kai simply shook his head and smiled. "If that's so then you might wanna be careful, it seems like you already got a whole lot of that," He put his hand on her head and tussled her hair. "Seeking glory for vanity's sake is a path to the dark side just as much as pride. If the Force brings us glory it has a reason, just try not to relish it like the Sith." When Isabella asked if he really thought she'd be special he placed his hand on her back again and nodded, giving her an enthusiastic grin. "I do. I'm not sure how or in what way, but I foresee you will become a great Jedi one day. Maybe even a councilor if you keep it up. Who knows though, as a great master once said, always in motion the future is."

When she shot back how she thought his jinxing them was thoughtful he let out a laugh. "I'm glad you think so! And besides, a little pain is good for the soul. It builds suffering!" He shouted over the hum of battle. Hearing her cry out in pain, Kai nearly turned about to see if she was alright, but almost immediately realized that it was too dangerous. The droids were closing in and he had to fend them off. Laughing as Isabella made her declaration, Kai cut through a pair of droids with his lightsaber, causing them to tumble into those behind them and making a bit of a pile up. Not really minding the usage of the term master in this situation, Kai smiled, "Good! Now show these droids what we've got!" He shouted. Unleashing his barrage of pure Force energy on these poor unsuspecting droids, Kai blasted the entire field before him into smoldering cinders and the ruined remains of ages old pit droids. Turning about, he saw that Isabella had thrown her droids backwards and was rushing forward to end what remained of them with her lightsabers. Smiling, he joined in, moving his silver blade through the survivors like water, not even stopping for a moment. When he was finished, the dark-haired Jedi Master looked at his student. "You did well, but remember not to overexert yourself when you use the Force. Do that in a fight with a real Sith and you might find that you can't do much else for the rest of the battle. Now, where to? Further on?"

Isabella giggled at his agreement. Her eyes widened slightly when he mentioned that it seemed she already had a little bit of pride in her, which made her despise the sith even more. "Oh no, I'm not meaning it that way, I meant it in a completely different way." She said looking down slightly before she felt him ruffling her hair.

She then felt his hand on her back as he nodded saying that she could possibly become a councilor if she kept up what she was doing. That made her face light up like a lightbulb. She had always wanted to be a councilor and never stopped dreaming about it. "Oh I definitely will keep up what I'm doing. Being a councilor would be a dream come true." She said smiling. Isabella then realize the last thing he said and stopped looking at him for a second. "Wait I know who said that! It was Grand Master Yoda!" She exclaimed still keeping her voice low.

She heard Kai laughing as he responded to her sarcastic remark. "Yeah, I guess so." She said a little bit quieter. She had noticed he tried to turn around to see if she was alright. He then suggested that they show the droids what they had and Isabella gave a smirk and a nod before using the force to keep them back. She guessed that ice was on her mind, because ice came from her hands with the force to push the droids and when she finished she turned and looked at Kai with widened eyes, clearly stunned. "What did I just do?" after that question, she had moved onto chopping the droids apart as Kai joined in.

After they finished, she returned Kai's look, still being slightly stunned at what happened. She nodded to what he said before responding. "Thanks. And yes I think we need to go further." She added with a small smile.

Laughing, Kai shook his head at Isabella, "I know my dear, I'm simply teasing you. Keep your chin up, but remember a Jedi should be humble and never overconfident in your abilities lest you fall in battle, or worse, to the dark side of the Force." He made sure her hair was nice and messy before he stopped rubbing her head. Seeing her hair all nappy and out of place he grinned and laughed, "There, much better." He winked.

He was glad to see how her face lit up when he made the comment about her one day making it to Councilor. Of course he meant what he had said, and sincerely believed that she could make it. "I'm sure it would. Remember that you're only going to make it by being a perfect Jedi and by working hard! That's the secret, that's how I became a councilor. Keep it up and once you've grown up and become a woman and had some time to be a knight we might end up on the council together!" Of course the remark was rather naive, but he still meant it, besides, he didn't want Isabella to start slacking just because she was skilled with the Force. Smiling as she realized who he was quoting he nodded. "You must have been reading your history lessons. Been digging into the Holocrons I've been giving you? That's good, I'm glad."

Seeing Isabella create ice during their fight, Kai was rather surprised. Not that the Force could do that, but that the first time he had seen it used it was a nubile Padawan. Once the fight was over and they were recovering from their usages if the Force, Kai took the hand that had created the ice into his and gave it a squeeze. "Cryokinesis. I'm surprised, that's a fairly advanced ability for a new Padawan like yourself to have done, but it's not uncommon. Sometimes the Force does odd things in the heat of the moment. I guess you're just a little snowflake! Try not to worry too much though, we'll talk more about it later when we have time and not worrying about who is sending all these ancient droids after us!"

Nodding at Isabella when she agreed that they should move further on. It didn't take them long before they reached a stairway at the end of the corridor. Opening the door he noticed that stairs went both up into the higher levels, and down into the basements. Looking at Isabella he asked, "Alright, how about now? Where does the Force say for us to go?"

Isabella giggled when he laughed. "I'd never be with the Dark Side. They're not my type." She said quoting with her hands at the word 'type'. She then looked up at her hair crosseyed realizing that it looked like a matted mess. Her braid was n the mix of all of it, but she wouldn't be able to find it with all of that hair she had. "Is this supposed to scare the monsters away?" she giggled.

That smile stayed on her face as he explained. She then heard him ask about the holocrons he gave her, which made her smile grow a little wider."Of course! As soon as you gave them to me, I immediately started studying them. I couldn't get enough of them. I played them over and over again." She said clearly excited over it. She remembered going through them also just to listen to Master Yoda's voice. It was overly comforting as it always would be. Master Yoda had some very valuable information and the way he spoke made learning Jedi history interesting.

She let Kai grab her hand as he then squeezed it. "Cryokinesis? Whoa. I never knew that would ever happen." She giggled slightly when he said that she was a little snowflake. "I definitely have questions now!" She said as he mentioned that they should move on now. "Those droids are nasty. I didn't realize their grip would be so strong either." She said he shoulder cracking as it had been shifted out of place when she elbowed a droid in it's metal gut. She popped it back into place not letting pain be an option at the moment as she started walking forward to the top of the stairs to leave the bottom of that place. She heard Kai's question and closed her eyes using the force to locate the source of where she was being led to. "She then opened her eye once more pointing u the stair case. "two floors up and then to the right and then forward from there." She said hoping there wouldn't be another trap.

"Well, I'm glad to hear you say that. Now I won't have to worry as much," Kai smirked at Isabella playfully. When she asked if her messy hair was to scare the monsters away, the young Jedi Master couldn't help but laugh loudly. "Aye, that's exactly what it's for. You look terrifying and mean now. Nobody would want to mess with you when you look like that. Not even the grandmaster!" He chuckled as he made his joke. Nodding his answer back to Isabella when she confirmed that she had been doing her studies as he requested. That was good to hear, he was pleased, and he let his expression show that.

Once the battle was done, and Isabella talked about how she had just used the Force to create ice, Kai nodded back at her. "It's the Force, my dear, just about anything can happen with it, that's why it's so powerful and mystical. Think on some of your questions, have follow up questions. I suspect that this shall be a very intriguing discussion when we are done." As she commented on the droids being nasty he hummed an acknowledgment, wincing as she popped her shoulder back into place. "You should have let me do that," Kai remarked clapping his hands together, "I could have used the Force to make it less painful." Rubbing the shoulder with his hands he channeled the Force into it to heal any damaged tissue and to help dull any lingering pain. After a few seconds he stopped, appearing satisfied.

Walking up the stairs, Kai wondered what they would find. "Those were some awfully specific instructions there, Isabella. Something you not telling me? Like a trap you have planned?" He asked jokingly. They ascended two floors where they came to a locked door. Pressing the button to open it, Kai frowned. "It appears to be sealed. So, do we use our lightsabers or the Force to get past this obstacle?"

She smiled when he said that. She then looked back to her hair and him. When he laughed it caused her to start laughing.she raised an eyebrow as she laughed when she heard his comment. Then she stopped for a second putting her nada up as if they were like claws and pretended to bare fangs and hiss. "Master Yoda would be scared? Wow. Some people should know not to mess with me anyway. Luck never ended well for them when I was on my own. I sent them packing!" she laughed harder as she put her hands down.

"So I can now use ice as a regular power too? Like the force? Interesting." she said more curious. She obviously wanted to learn the power before trying to use it for everything. "And yes I also believe this will be an interesting conversation." she replied.

As she popped the shoulder back into place it hurt a little causing it to throb. She noticed Kai was watching as she did so and he commented on it. "I've done it before. With the same shoulder. It seems to be weaker than the other one.though it makes sense as when I use my Lightsaber and come to a clash it always hurt." she replied as he then came over and started to rub her shoulder. It felt much better after he finished. "Thanks. Thats so much better." she made a note in her mind to go to him if her shoulder or any bone was out of place.

Isabella shook her head at his question. This is exactly what the face was telling her. She gave him a little look. "No, it's something the force isn't telling us. This is where it sent me. I think it's leading us to the actual person behind this dirty joke." she replied as they climbed up both staircases. As the turned the corner, they found a locked metal door. She looked at Kai as he asked what method they should use. "Lightsabers. You never know what's on the other side. I don't even know." she replied pulling her sabers out.

Nodding as he acknowledged his student's playful remark and silly antics, Kai smiled as they continued on. When she asked about using the ice as a regular power like the Force, Kai let out a chuckle and shook his head at her. "No, Isabella, not like the Force, it is the Force. Instead of using it like telekinesis, you instead can create and control ice. It's all the Force, it's just a different application of it. I imagine you'd have to be careful with it, that seems like a rather advanced power, and you could easily tire yourself if you tried to use it in a fight. Just keep that in mind."

Listening to her talk about her shoulder, Kai nodded as he finished rubbing it and using the Force to help the healing process. Giving a little smile when she thanked him, "You're welcome Isabella. Feel free to ask me for stuff in the future. You're part of the Jedi family now, you don't need to do everything on your own anymore."

Walking up the stairs, he took note of what Isabella said and replied, "I believe you my young Padawan. And I certainly hope the Force is leading us to whoever is behind these events as well." He paused when they reached the door and gave out a slight and amused laugh. "Very well, lightsabers it is!" He remarked drawing his silver blade and drove it into the metal door, melting part of it. He was halfway through when he heard a tapping on the other side like someone threw something metal against it on the other side. His instincts kicked in as the Force told him to move. Grabbing Isabella, he shouted, "Move!" As he dived down the stairs just as a thermal detonator went off evaporating the door and everything around it in a brilliant flash.

Isabella nodded listening carefully to what he said before responding. "Oh. Cool. Is it something you'd be able to teach me to control and use it easier when it's needed?" She asked sounding curious. She was hoping he'd be able to help at all with this new ability she was able to do now. She wanted to learn it and she knew Kai loved helping her as much as she loved helping him.

She smiled back after he finished mentioning to her that she could come to him for anything because she was part of the Jedi family. "I'll keep that in mind." She said smiling again.

Isabella giggled slightly as they melted a part in the door as she then looked towards her master sensing the same thing as he then stopped and they both heard metal tapping which made Isabella's heart beat faster as Kai then grabbed her, gasping, diving down the stairs. She then decided to breath again as they landed at the bottom hopefully safely when her eyes then widened quickly due to thermal denotator evaporated the entire surrounding the door. She was speechless as she stayed closer to Kai not knowing what would happen next. "Whoa. That was a close one." She said quieter to him so whatever was up there wouldn't hear.

(Sorry for the delay)

"Of course, and whatever you need help with I'm sure my personal holocron would be able to pick up the slack," He smiled warmly back at Isabella, of course Kai was going to help Isabella learn and master this new ability she had discovered. She was easily becoming one of his favorite students, and coupled with her brightness and cheerful attitude, he found it hard not to always be smiling around her, even when she sometimes made him a little cross. He had high aspirations for her, and he was certain she could reach them one day with a little bit of help and a whole lot of effort. When she smiled back at him and acknowledged that they were part of the same extended family, Kai chuckled. Then he replied with a teasing remark, "Good, you better, or I might have something to say about that."

At the door, Kai was thankful he knew the sound of grenade hitting the metal door so well. As he effectively tackled his teenage apprentice down a flight of stairs to escape the large blast radius of the thermal detonator, he felt that there was a presence approaching. Feeling Isabella close to him, he gave her a pat before drawing his lightsaber again and standing up. "Indeed it was. Come on, Isabella. We have to find out who wants to kill us my dear." Walking up the steps again, this time cautious and ready to use the Force to throw back any grenades tossed their way. At the top of the stairs Kai could see through the now blasted opening. There was a man with horns, a Zabrak, he had tanned skin, and thick tattoos covering his face. In one hand he held a lightsaber, its bloodshine red blade glowing off of the metal walls. Glancing to Isbella, Kai whispered, "I hate to say it, but I think you were right."

(its ok)

Isabella kept a smile on her face as her master agreed to help her with the new skill she could possibly use in the future and she was more than happy to learn it and embrace the power to protect her new family of Jedi. It would however be very useful in the future. She obviously loved her master as the days went by. This mission had probably been on most favorites list, knowing that she was going to learn another skill to be able to use.

She felt that something was definitely not right when they approached the door. She had chills up and down her arms from sensing darkness and cold. She then very lightly jumped when she felt her master's hand patting her back. She had been staring up the stairs the entire time, her survival mode kicking in after she had landed and Kai's hand made her come from thought of what would happen next.

Isabella nodded at what he said as they both got up igniting their sabers. "Ok." She responded getting up to follow. He had said something that meant so much different in such a soft tone that made her smirk a little before gripping her sabers and following him up to see the Zabrak with his saber glowing a bloodred crimson color through the smoke and it's light reflected on the man's face as he stood there. He reminded her of.. Darth Maul. She new they looked very much alike and thought that maybe the apple didn't fall far from the tree. Maybe he was offspring? Who knows? Her eyes widened as she tried her best to hide her tiny tremor of fear in her heart. What would happen next?

"Master? Who is that?" She whispered to him standing next to his side.

Looking to Isabella as she asked him who that was, he simply shrugged. He could feel the fear running through Isabella at that moment, and he wanted to say something to her, to tell her not to be afraid, but he couldn't risk it. If this presumably dark side using alien had heard him, then he would focus on attacking, possibly even killing Isabella. And Kai couldn't allow that. She may have been talented, but it would be negligent for him to not protect her against a clear and obvious danger. Turning back to face the crimson lightsaber-wielding Zabrak, Kai only whispered, "I don't know, Izzy. Keep your guard up."

As he took another step forward, the Zabrak spoke, his voice gravely but smooth, almost like fine sand. "I see that the Jedi have finally decided to take an interest into my little operation here. I knew I should have handled those snoopers better, but hindsight is twenty-twenty as they say." The Zabrak grinned at the pair of Jedi deviously, like he knew something they didn't, and in truth, Kai had to admit that he probably did know something they didn't.

That's when it happened. The wall panel to Kai's right practically exploded right off. Not enough to shred the metal plate, oh no, that was still intact. Instead, Kai was battered with a large, heavy piece of metal that sent him careening into the opposite wall. It was at this moment that the Zabrak decided to attack. The man charged Isabella whilst Kai had just been knocked off of his feet and was recovering. Bringing his lightsaber back a little so he could slash at the teenage girl, hoping to catch her off guard with what had just happened to her master, and a quick burst of Force-enhanced speed to close the distance and be upon her before she could properly react.

Isabella's eyes were widened until she saw Kai shrug telling her to keep her guard up and she simply nodded before also looking back to the sith standing in front of them. She sensed something bad was going to happen but didn't know when it would be put into action. She watched as her master took a step forward to the sith which she took a deep breath to calm herself down focusing with the force.

Her eyes narrowed at what the Zabrak said and sensed something was just about to happen. And she was more than correct. "Master watch-!" It was too late, Kai had already been forced backwards as she shaded her eyes with her arm at the explosion. Then something was off.. she turned luckily in time to re-activate her sabers and block the Zabrak's attack. She had realized that he was trying to trick her with her master, but she wasn't like that anymore. She wasn't vulnerable and she had the force on her side to help her out a bit also helping with her focus. His strength was almost surprising as he was close to knocking Isabella off of her feet, as she was almost half-bent backwards. She closed her eyes letting the light side of the force build up in her before she opened her eyes and shoved back on his saber pushing him back two feet.
