The whining discharge of a blaster pistol resounded off the walls of the narrow industrial corridor. In return, almost like an answer to the firing of the blaster pistol, the snap-hiss of a lightsaber blade joined in. A second later the energy ricocheted off into a nearby metal panel. Jedi Master Kai Sera was standing in the middle of the corridor next to his apprentice @Isabella Rae Jarrus with the silver blade of his lightsaber activated. Ahead of them was an antiquated battle droid with its blaster drawn trying to kill them. It fired again, the scarlet bolt flying through the air towards the pair of them. Taking a step forward, Kai's boot clapping against the cold and dusty metal floor. Swing his lightsaber at the blaster bolt, the master deflected it back into the droid, hitting it in its weapon and blasting its metal claws off, disabling it and preventing it from firing back at them again. Taking a moment to breathe, Kai looked back at Isabella. "You alright?"
They had gone there because there were rumors of people disappearing in the old ruins of a droid factory, other rumors that ghosts now lived there, or more realistic rumors that someone had just moved into the ruins and was trying to start up the factory for personal gain again. They were there to validate any truth to the rumors and find out what happened to the lost people. So far, though, they'd been attacked out of no where by an ages old droid. Who knew what else they would run into down there. Kai wasn't going to take any chances, especially not with Isabella standing there with him. Kai had taken the young girl because he wanted to get to know her better and to see how well she did out in the field, and hopefully to help make her a better Jedi in the process. He hoped that with a little real risk he'd get her to come out of her shell a little and see what kind of Jedi Knight she would be.
"Well, Isabella, what do you think?" Kai asked as he approached the disabled droid. Looking down at it with equal parts curiosity and caution in his deep grey eyes. Humming to himself he looked back at the tall, and still surprisingly young teenage girl. "Think this will be an exciting mission?"
