Vahliri didn’t miss sight of the Kilik’s that managed to slip through - fingers immediately curling around her lightsaber tightly. The half-Annfyn was all too familiar with the jumping Insectoid, and was prepared to defend herself accordingly - channeling the Force until the last possible moment. Just as the Kilik lunged, however, Vahliri watched as Varyn moved in - attempting to block its attack.

Instinctively, Vahliri brought her saber into a defensive guard - just in case the Insectoid survived Varyn’s attack. Regardless, she nodded towards the fellow Champion - wordlessly expressing her gratitude with the faintest smile.

More importantly, the reprieve allowed Vahliri the opportunity to continue bringing down the tunnel. Uninterrupted, the half-Annfyn tightened her grip on the stone walls - yanking downward in hopes of sealing the passage. Those still inside would have little time to make it out, if she was successful.

Tahiri's vision was spinning, her head even more so, so she was finding it a little hard to keep track of what was going on behind them, but she was noticing enough to see what they were running from, and that Indy was falling behind trying to help her.

"You should run.." She whispered to the Jedi Master as loudly as she could. "I'm holding you back...." Lightheaded as she was, she was able to ignore the pure terror that should have gripped her at what she said next. "Both of us don't need to die, you can make it on your own." If Indy refused then she was willing to try and push against her, make her drop her, she was sure she was strong enough to do at least that, but that opportunity never arose as help arrived. If Indy did end up handing her over to Kaos, Tahiri would keep on protesting, Jedi till the end.

"One life is not worth two, just run."

Tahiri tries to protest, asking Indy and Kaos to leave her behind.

Who would build such a contraption on an asteroid? Why had the starfighter sacrificed itself to save that thing? What an odd mystery to solve. A lightbulb went on. “Please hold together,” he muttered. He weaved up and down to evade his pursuers, then took a hard turn and looped around in his ship so that he was facing the two starfighters tailing him. In another second, he was firing lasers at them both. But John had positioned his ship at an angle such that if the lasers missed, they would hit the engine. Perhaps they would sacrifice themselves as the ship had done.

Despite it all, she didn't stop running. There was little she could immediately do to fight that wouldn't immediately put herself and Tahiri in danger. But a series of things happened that put things at risk. First, that the Sith that was sprinting ahead of her had suddenly changed trajectory and tried pulling Tahiri off her shoulders. The shot from the non-FS, threatening the Sith to cut the door open.

Then the injured Matukai fighter offered to take on the injured Padawan, to which she accepted, not even missing a step. Charging forward, she sprinted ahead of the Sith using the Force, ahead of the gunner guy towards the hangar doors. Two blades blazed to life in both hands; one white, one a brilliant green. She would sink them both into the door, to begin to cut through the material there.

Hearing Tahiri's words only steeled her resolution to channel the Force into her blades, to make them cut faster if she could, trying to trim out a humanoid-shaped hole for them to escape through.

@Nefieslab

Indy lets Kaos take the wheel Tahiri, using the Force to sprint ahead for the hangar doors. She then activates both her lightsabers, and instead channels the Force to enhance her weapons, to faster cut a hole through the doors.

Space!

@John Q

John's erratic movements would be enough to allow him to stave off another barrage of laser cannon fire sent his way but, again, pulling such moves in an already damaged ship was dangerous. Pushing the ship through its paces in such an aggressive manner had its consequences - tearing metal in the back of the ship alerted John to further damage even as he pulled it through another hairpin turn at the last second.

His console would begin screaming at him with red lights, advising him that the escape pod had been disconnected. In reality it was still firmly attached to the ship - it just wouldn't be leaving the ship as the damage spread, tearing at the escape pod's fuel and launch lines.

John would be flying without a safety net going forward.

Flying directly at the enemy starfighters gave John an excellent shot at them but it also meant that they would have a clear and uninterrupted shot on himself as well. As planned, one of the ships shot forward, accelerating to take both of the shots and exploding into a cloud of debris. Through this debris the remaining fighter fired, one of its lasers scoring a direct hit against John's ship, causing his shielding to begin to fail as the starfighter would pull off to one side, breaking the imprumptu game of chicken.

The warrior Killik that had been about to pounce upon Vahliri seemed to coil in on itself in order to pounce but as Varyn attacked from its side, it seemed to snap into action. As the Champion came flying in from the side it re-prioritized and swung both of it's forelegs at Varyn's right side in an attempt to pierce through his side as he was mid-swing through its rear legs but before he could bring it up through its body.

The life of a Killik drone was, after all, sacrifice and it didn't care about itself - it only had to care about keeping Varyn busy long enough for him to be caught by the rest of the hive.

Fortunately for Vahliri, Varyn had thrown himself against the enemy who had intended to attack her, leaving her to focus on securing the hold they had on this section of the tunnels. Unfortunately for her - Edin Frost didn't give a fuck about any of that. Using his honed reflexes, the assassin managed to veer out of the way of the descending Killik as it lept and was more than happy to get the hell out of dodge, leaving the creature falling nearly directly at Vahliri from above. With her distracted by the obvious enemy from in front and her use of the Force, she would be hard pressed to avoid being slashed down the back by the falling Killik as it decided that one prey was as good as any other as it would land behind and slightly to the right of her.

The small argument over who would get to carry Tahiti was made, essentially, moot as Edin demanded that the Force Users become less noble and more practical, at gunpoint. He was answered by Kaos, who was able to manhandle Tahini into a fireman's lift without much issue - even with her verbal protests. In perhaps a twist of fate, it was the Jedi Master who actually forced her way forward, unopposed even by the waiting Chirzo as she thrust her lightsabers into the hanger doors.

Swearing from behind the hanger doors broke out before they would be able to hear the voices of the soldiers who were desperately trying to prepare themselves to assist with the extraction. Droids and ships began to cycle up, readying engines and weapons systems as the blades began to carve through the metal of the door. Rather than trying to cut through the locks holding the door in place, Indy had elected to carve a shape out of the door, leading to her blades getting bogged down in the sheer weight of metal, causing it to not be carved open as quickly as she would have expected.

Instead the Jedi Master and the forward-most members of the team were brought to an abrupt halt against the doors.

Chittering intensified and cries of insectoid joy rang out as hundreds upon hundreds of warrior killiks began to emerge from the darkness. Running along the ceiling and the walls, bypassing the molten metal pools all together, they came streaming through the side passage in the same direction as the stasis chamber. Tahiti and Kaos would catch a glimpse, to their right, a secondary entrance to the main mining chamber - dark... but light bouncing off the carapaces of dozens of deadly insect warriors. The advance from this side passage would set this, admittedly, smaller group on a path to cut off Varyn and Vahliri from the rest of the group with their mere emergence.

Time was a commodity of which the team had frighteningly little and it was quickly being eaten away.

Cutting through the doors themselves wouldn't work.

She knew this as soon as she began trying to carve a way through; the metal was probably meant to resist even shipfire. Cursing quietly under her breath, she scanned the door itself to see if there was an easier way to cut their way through.

She could hear the insectoid screams, and that was enough incentive to push forward.

She spotted them. Locks that held the doors in place and prevented them from opening; she'd have to target those instead. Withdrawing her blades, she gritted her teeth as she applied the lightsabers again, this time targeting the locks themselves in a Force-enhanced attack to force the doors to open.

They were running out of time.

@Valen Pelora @Nefieslab

Indy targets the locks instead with her lightsabers to force the doors open.

While the rest of the group sprinted towards the hanger door, Vahliri poured her energies and focus into collapsing the ceiling - ensuring that the passage was sealed, albeit for only a short time. Unfortunately for the half-Annfyn, it meant that she wasn’t paying attention to Edin whatsoever - and couldn’t have possibly known about the Kilik dropping down from above, blade-like appendages poised to strike.

Blinding, molten agony surged across the half-Annfyn’s body as the Insectoid sliced deep into her back - carving through the armorweave exterior of her armor. She screamed as it’s bladed appendages sliced deep into the right side of her back, splitting a deep laceration through the first few inches of flesh, almost to the bone. It was only by virtue of her light armor - and the fact that the Kilik had originally intended to hit Edin - that the appendage didn’t pierce further into her back.

Blood gushed from the open laceration, flowing down Vahliri’s back from shoulder blade to lower back - soaking into her robes and dripping onto the floor below. Her breath came in pained gasps as she dizzily stumbled forward, whipping around to face her attacker with lightsaber in hand. Before she attempted to strike back, however, the half-Annfyn caught a glimpse of the side cavern ahead - sensitive hearing picking up on the sound of.. Hundreds, if not more.

Gritting her teeth through the pain, Vahliri instead pushed off her left foot - sprinting past the Kilik and towards the mine exit. Her lightsaber was positioned closest to the Kilik, prepared to meet the Insectoid if it attempted to follow. What strength she had remaining was channeled through the Force, flowing into her extremities to enhance her own speed and agility. With her injuries, the half-Annfyn was still moving slower than normal - but she hoped it would be enough to reach the hanger.

As she ran, Vahliri couldn’t help but catch sight of Indy - watching as the Pantoran handed off the Padawan and started bolting for the door. More importantly, she watched the Jedi Master effectively abandon her and Varyn to the Kiliks, as they attempted to seal the exit for the entire group. The sight sent a distinct spike of anger through Vahliri, eyes narrowing into daggers.

As she bolted through the mines, Vahliri brought the commlink up to her lips - barking orders to the troopers stationed in the hanger bay. Only Varyn would be close enough to hear what she commanded.

There was perhaps no skill that Varyn had honed more than his bladework as an auditioning Blademaster. Perhaps that was precisely why he had already kept his second saber in a defensive position. When the Killik swung its legs at him, he flicked his wrist so that they would cut themselves directly off on his own saber rather than strike him.

That maneuver cost him about one singular second and he was already taking off running back toward the hangar again and leaving the crippled bug behind. As he ran, his sabers flashed and he pulled the Force to himself and blasted back the Killik that had injured Vahliri, wanting to call out to her but not wanting to waste even a minute as he continued to fall back to the hangar.

He would then let the Force flow through him to boost his speed as well, unencumbered he should pass Kaos and Tahiri in short order and made no attempt to help them.
They were not his friends, and in the desperation of the moment, the only thing he cared about was getting himself and Vahliri out of here. Clearly the Jedi didn't care about helping them either... typical Jedi, and precisely why he'd left the Order. They claimed to care about others, but when the pedal was to the metal, they would simply leave you to die.

All the while, he kept himself alert to whatever may come next. He heard what Vahliri had said, but it wasn't his priority now either. He'd let her do what she chose - not like he could stop her anyway - but kept an eye on her in case she started falling behind for any reason.

With his ship in a damaged and critical state, John had only option. He had to land the ship. The jump to hyperspace seemed too risky at this point. Red lights flashed and he could smell smoke from somewhere. But wait! The hangar he had taken off from was still functioning. If he could just get there.

John flew his ship away from the engine and back to where he had taken off. The hangar came into view. Slowing down, his ship passed through the shields. Ha ha, not so tough. Then he remembered his landing gear had been damaged. Oh shit.

John's ship had a rocky landing, skidding a few meters, and bumping into a wall. But it was down. He got out of that ship as soon as he could and took a breath of fresh hangar air.

John goes back to the hangar and lands his ship

The blaster bolt pinged in front of her. Stopping any thought Charlotte had for running back for Indy and Tahiri. Really…what had she been thinking. The Darker instincts within came furling forth. She leveled an equally hard stare at the assassin. She clicked her tongue. Fighting each other would only result in everyone dying. “Riiiight.” She nodded and pushed the Force into her body. Her focus shifting to the massive durasteel door. Charlotte’s eyes flicked to Indy, the do-gooder cutting away at what appeared to be locks.

Charlotte’s own red blade quickly joined hers. The Force pumping into her arms and legs to add strength to her movement. She was keenly aware of the growing chittering around them. The press of joined life in the Force. That fear in her heart grew ever stronger. She fed it to the Darkness. Fueling the fire of the Darkside. Cut faster…cut harder. “Keep them off us.” She gritted through strained breaths. There was one way out and they were running out of time.

Edin didn’t give a shit who died, as long as he lived. The only way to ensure that was to get this door open. He glanced back as the bugs drew closer, but he was also banking on the injured people lagging behind to provide enough of a feast to let him escape. The Firrerreo did a double take as the Jedi from earlier practically teleported over. If the door was successfully opened, Edin would be the first to zoom out above the heads of the people below and directly towards his ship.

If the door remained jammed, he would keep shooting till he ran out of ammo. A billion people didn’t need to try and open the same door so he glanced at Chorizo, “Use the Force to send them back!” He would call out if they were all still stuck.

With the benefit of a few moments of stability while everyone was discussing who would carry her, Tahiri was able to catch her breath and feel a bit more in control of herself. She tapped Kaos on his tree trunk of an arm, and spoke in words that came out much more coherently than before.

"I can move now, let me down." She spoke with a sense of pleading urgency. "I can help, we need every hand we have." She winced at her choice of words, only realizing how cruel it might have been to Kaos after she had spoken the words.

If he did let her down then she would begin running with him, or more likely after him, as they moved towards the door. At the same time she pulled her blade off her belt and prepared to defend against any threats if the need arose, well aware that she was bringing up the rear.

Tahiri asks Kaos to put her down, and if he agrees then she starts running towards the door on her own two feet..

To be honest, Kaos had considered just dropping Tahiri the moment he realized Indy was going far ahead without them, not quite what he wanted her to do, yet...he felt somewhat conflicted about doing that. It was quite strange, at one point in his life he would have not even considered leaving an ally behind...In another point in his past she would already be Killik food as the Matukai would throw her towards the creepy bugs...But what did he want to be at the moment? He didn't know, he didn't remember, it was what he had come all the way here for but he hadn't made his mind yet.

Leave her, carry her, leave her, carry her, leave her, carry her...

Fortunately, he wouldn't hesitate for long as the voice of the padawan reached his ears and so Kaos would do exactly what he had been told, dropping Tahiri on her feet before immediately using the force to increase his speed and reach the hangar door as fast as he could. He decided to do both things after all: Don't just leave the padawan to die but he would try to put his life over the others as well.

Once he eventually reached the hangar door, Kaos would take out his razor thrower and get to throwing it now that he actually had time to stay still and aim. Focusing on taking out the ones closer to jedi and sith alike as the blade would go through any Killik that got closer to them and then returned to him, cutting again on the way back as if it was the galaxy's deadliest boomerang.

Dropping Tahiri, force speed to gtfo and covering people with what is totally not a vibro boomerang

Space and Hanger

@John Q

As John realised that his ship was becoming more and more unstable as it continued to fly in a dogfight it was not ready for, the allure of the hanger bay returned. It might seem counter-intuitive to return to the scene of the terror, where even now his coms signal would tell him that the Sith and other vessels within were beginning to panic a little bit themselves.

Luckily for John, the remaining starfighter broke off its pursuit to begin patrolling the exterior of the massive Killik ship instead. After all, John was heading right back where they wanted them. Why would the Kind care for the reasons as to why he was heading back? He would be heading into the waiting jaws of the Killiks within and would, assumably, soon be digested or assimilated.

Without landing gear, however, the landing within the hanger bay was far from safe and sound. He was able to steer it but even as he did his ship crashed along the side of the parked Sith ship, sending it juddering to one side before his ship came to a halt against the wall.

John would be able to depart his ship freely, however, he would do so to find himself being accosted by a duo of angry Imperial soldiers waving their guns in his general direction.

"Sir! Sir we have confirmation of Killik contact - surrender your weapon to prove non-Joined status!"

Both of the soldiers held their rifles at the ready, stuns at the ready should John go against Imperial/Killik protocol and not immediately begin complying. The other four members of the Imperial away team received their orders and checked their own weapons as well - this whole thing just went from shady to FUBAR in five minutes and the Imperial soldiers tried to steal themselves to doing their duty. Two of them collected their heavier weaponry, which was just good sense in Killik-Situations and set their Repeaters up on their tripods for stability.

As Vahliri's blood splashed against chitin and stone, the warrior Killik engaged with her screeched its victory. Pain, such pain, would distract her. She would be ripe for the conversion to one of the Joined, surely. All she needed to do was tire, to falter, and she would be taken - she would be dragged into the depths of the ship to be forced to convert.

Her compliance was not a factor worth considering to the Killiks.

Vahliri attempted to rush past it, to avoid fighting it if she could, but Varyn was able to use his preparation to deal with his own enemy quickly enough to swipe it aside with the Force. The Killik was prepared to slash Vahliri's tendons, its blades already moving, but the Force Push from Varyn sent it skidding across the stone away from her. It screeched its fury at being denied - a call that was taken up by the throats of hundreds of Killiks as they swarmed closer from the side passage.

The two Sith would almost blur past Kaos and Tahiri as they came to terms with what they likely ought to do. Tahiri would be allowed to stand on her own two feet and she would find herself able to walk - but no one had bothered to stay long enough to see if she had the sense of balance to manage to actually get up to pace. Instead, Kaos raced ahead as Indy had done before him and reached the doors, preparing himself for some longer-range throws with his blades.

Tahiri would stumble her way into a run towards the door but as she did so, the Killik that Varyn had sent skidding would return - attempting a pounce to pin the young Padawan under its weight from behind to allow it to snap its jaws shut and cut her head in two.

Upon the yelled instructions of Edin, and seeing masses of Killiks approaching behind Tahiri and her foe, Chirzo decided that she didn't much care for standing around playing hero - instead she started Pulling. She lacked the formal training to be effective at range against the Killiks so she didn't have to. Instead she started pulling on the supports of the tunnel behind them as it approached the hanger doors. The supports tore off the walls and ceiling as parts of the ceiling above began to fall.

Rock began to fall, beginning to narrow the available space for Tahiri to escape through and for Edin and Kaos to attack through - more rocks beginning to fall as she Pulled with all her desperate might.

At the doors themselves, the addition of Charlotte's blade to Indy's made all the difference. Adding her blade to her's made the difference and immediately both of them would begin to notice the difference as their blades first heated and then cut through the main lock of the door in the centre. As the doors were flung open, the orders were already being carried out even as Edin would be able to swoop over the heads of those below him with some difficulty.

The difficulty being the bottom of the hoversled catching a blaster bolt, making it suddenly start to steer like a pleasure yacht overfilled with Hutts.

Two medium blaster repeaters opened fire on the centre of the doorway as the doors sprang apart, aimed at the centre where the blue lightsaber had been cutting through. A barrage of a dozen blaster bolts each were put down range by the Imperial troopers as they saturated the middle of the doorway with fire. They had been ordered to aim at the Jedi but they had already fired by the time they realized that a Sith was also in their firing line - Indy and Charlotte both would be faced with a hail of blaster fire on orders from Vahliri.

Tahiri hadn't tried using the Force, keeping her concentration on just staying on her feet and keeping up as best as she could with everyone else. So when the Killik pounced for her she had no warning, and the best she could manage was try to swing her elbow backwards to whack it and possibly delay the cranial buffet the killik was looking for.

She fell to the ground under the weight of herself and the killik, and in that moment she felt not the clarity that the holomovies spoke off, neither was she greeted by visions of her life. All she had was panic, fear of what was going to come, and surprisingly a sense of acceptance. Maybe it was the self-sacrificing crap she had been trying to sell to Indy and Kaos when she had asked them to leave her behind, but some part of her seemed resigned to what was about to happen. But a larger part of her wasn't ready to just fade away, and in a moment of defiance she would try to grab the Force and push. Not at the Killik, but towards the escaping group, a blind push hoping to pound more rocks onto the collapsing entrance.

With no defense agaisnt the Killik's attack, she would succumb, with the slight consolation as she went. At least she had tried.

/Le Fin

Tahiri tries to elbow the killik in an attempt to buy time, and as she goes to the floor she unleashes as much of a force push as she can to assist Chorizo's effort to block the entrance.

Varyn had raced passed both Tahiri and Kaos with barely a glance back at them. He took no joy in the death of the Jedi, but if it bought Vahliri and him the chance to get out, he'd have traded a hundred Tahiris.

Reaching the door, Varyn's right blade sprung to life once again. He'd heard the order Vahliri gave, and he wasn't going to risk being undefended if the Jedi decided to retaliate... well, not that they were likely to be alive.

His priority, still, was to get out, and if the line of fire was clear, he'd start making his way over to the ship that his droid had already fired up. He would, however, make sure that Vahliri was still getting clear.

The joined forces of their sabers quickly worked through the locks. The doors sprang open, and the immediate sound of blaster fire followed. She had precious moments to respond. She hurled herself sideways with the Force in desperate hopes to avoid the blaster bolts, careful not to crack into the wall. There was little hope she would be able to deflect any bolts with her saber, instead wrapping the Force around her body to try and deaden any that crept through. It was truly unlikely she would remain unharmed. She could only hope the combined efforts of her armor and the Force would be enough to save her life.

When she landed, assuming she could talk, her eyes would flick to the Sith Troopers. “Not me! Her hand lashing out at the target she imagined they were aiming. If Charlotte could walk, she would immediately head for the Sith transport. If she could not, again she would look to the Troopers. “Help me up.” She did not want to die in this stinking asteroid.

Indy had many regrets.

The first, that she couldn't reach back to Tahiri in time to save her. The second, that she even thought that by working with the Sith to survive, they would have let her go. That was blind faith, and it would have her killed. The third, was her own arrogance. She was well-aware of this; her confidence in something that seemed like another dig, would be more than that, and far more catastrophic.

She had mere moments to react when the blasters flashed to life. Flashing her twin lightsabers in a defensive guard, she covered Charlotte's movements to escape, managing to deflect a few of the blaster bolts away.

However, one hit in a critical place.

It burned over one of her lungs, and she buckled to the ground, hissing in pain. She knew she ought to feel despair, or anger, or rage... but for once, she felt calm. Peaceful, almost. The one thing that was denied her, that she wanted ever since losing Roland and Hans, would be coming.

Perhaps now, she would finally die. She only hoped if she did, she could face them both in the next life with her head held high.

I'm sorry... I tried.

She would not fight back. There was no point to; it would hinder their escape. Instead, she glanced at the other Sith, her gaze cool. Her voice still a calm, but now much breathier, rasp.

"Stop shooting, you're wasting your time. I'm already dead. Run."

She still gripped her lightsabers and looked. Beyond the hangar, the twinkle of stars beckoned. Stars she'd never see again... and she was alright with that. "I'll hold the door."

She didn't care what they'd do next; she hoped they would continue to flee. Was it foolish to help the Sith live? Perhaps, but then again, it didn't matter. She'd already failed protecting Tahiri; this death was the final rest she had yearned for. She'd do it protecting their lives, even at the cost of her own.

Extinguishing one of her blades but keeping the other up as a guard, she prepared the Force in her other hand, to unleash it on the Kiliks if they breached beyond. Whether by blaster fire or by the Killiks, she wouldn't make it out of this asteroid...

And she was prepared for just that.

@Nefieslab @Altaris

Indy gets hit in the chest. Her blaster vest does mitigate some of the damage, but it's critical, bad enough that she knows she won't survive it, with what little time they have. So she turns off one lightsaber, and prepares to hold the door to let the others escape.

You can't save everyone, that was what he had said to the other jedi before, wasn't it? Although it was what he had told Indy, although Tahiri herself insisted on walking, although he was pretty sure that should he had kept carrying her it would've resulted in his dead...It was still a bitter feeling to see a young girl, one that fought alongside him and basically saved his life not long ago die like that.

But Kaos had no time to dwell on it, he put his thrower away once more and kept running, approaching the hangar door as it was forced open by the blaster fire only to narrowly dodge stay blaster bolts from people on the other side. He didn't know what to make of it at first: Was it joined? Did they manage to ambush them from that side as well? Were they completely surrounded?

As he reached the hangar door and got outside he quickly realized what had just happened, confusion turning into anger in a moment "Out of all the fucking times to kill each other, you choose NOW?" Why was he even surprised? He knew what the sith were about, backstabbing, selfish vindictive bastards, the lot of them...But even then, couldn't they notice their priorities were a bit wrong? That there were hundreds of better things to kill at the moment? Their scumminess defied logic itself.

Of course, that was only half the reason he was pissed: The other is that he knew how it felt being stabbed in the back all too well. The jedi should have known better...But so should had he in the past. The Matukai looked at Charlotte for a moment, the only other person from their group that had any hopes at surviving now. He knew she tried to help the two jedi a minute ago and she was almost killed by this sudden betrayal...How did she feel knowing that, out of everyone in this mission including his teammates, the only person alive that might've given a shit about if she lived or if she died was passing away right now, betrayed by the hateful empire she was a part of?

"Have your ships stick together, in case space is about as safe as in here" the Miralukan would say, he would not dwell on such things for long, it was not the time for it. Making his way towards his ship. He would, however, walk past Indy in the process of getting there, should she still be alive and not completely taken out by the imperials by then, that's it "...Thank you again for healing my arm" With all said and done, he would board his ship, allowing anyone with a ship of their own to come aboard should they want to.

Get angry, get to his ship, hopefully get the hell out of here.

Edin cursed as one of the bolts hit his hoverboard. However, he quickly sprang off and dropped into a crouch, the board spiraling off in a separate direction. Damn. He wanted to keep that thing. Edin, unlike Kaos, was a real criminal and didn’t have any sort of religious epiphany just yet. Which meant that he was more than thrilled at the prospect of more bodies piling up to keep the bugs distracted and troopers firing into a tunnel where those monsters were attempting to escape. In fact, if he had still been inside, he would have shot Kaos and the others in the knees to slow down the bugs and allow him an escape.

The Firrerreo rapidly made his way over to his ship that his droid had fired up already. Without looking back, he ran up the ramp. The only one he would wait for was Chorizo as she could ensure he would get paid. Otherwise, his ship would take off.
