Charlotte hadn’t fought with such desperation in years. Thyferra had been a matter of life and death but not her life. She could have escaped whenever she wished. This was a different matter entirely. Her life was in her own hands. Fight or die. Those were her only options. The Queen Mother reacted as quickly as she could to the child’s advice. As the centipedes fell from the all-around, Charlotte’s left hand extended. The Force bursting forth in beautiful flames. The fear…the horror…the shock in her mind lending strength the Darkness. She aimed to burn any that fell towards hers.

She not so out of practice to ignore her surroundings. Charlotte kept her senses extended as best she could and a keen eye around her should anything get close. Her saber was still in her right hand and poised to hack at any horrors that might burst through the flames.
Whatever was happening in the stasis pods was decidedly not good but she was too far away to do anything now.

The centipedes kept pouring and pouring, but the Matukai was not the kind of force user that could deal with such things, the kind that would use the force to create vast amounts of fire to burn the swarms, so he simply backed away from where they were falling, sensing the safest places that were the farthest away from the little creatures as they attacked the sith and they retaliated with even more fire.

"Heads up, something bigger is coming!" The Miralukan said out loud, warning them all of the creature that was coming their way. That would not be all, however, as the Miralukan would also take out his Rodian throwing razor and do what the kid had requested of them, throwing his razor towards the mother that had now begun to move...He did not know what that was about, but he didn't want to find out. Hopefully a vibroblade would be enough to cut through the pod and through her head and, if not, he was sure blaster bolts would soon follow

Kaos warns about big bad monster coming so it doesn't take them by surprise, makes sure to be as far away from creepy bugs as possible and tries to end coffin mama 2.0

It would be foolish to protect the others within this cave, excepting their own. After all, even the Sith that scolded her for splitting her focus didn't seem to mind much the fact that she was doing her best to protect. At the risk of being a broken-record Jedi...

She would continue to protect.

Though she couldn't shield the Sith from the fire or the heat, she could do her best to protect them from the assault from above, and seemingly all sides. She wouldn't be able to protect the gunner on a hoversled, however; he was moving too quickly, and was too far away.

Her lightsaber hummed to life with a hiss in her right hand, and she slammed her left palm on the ground, pouring her focus, her energy, and her abilities into this assault. A ripple in the Force burst out, flinging into the bugs that burrowed above, skittered from the sides, or crawling beneath to be flung away. Mindful to avoid her companions to be pelted by flying insectoids, she aimed to telekinetically fling them into the fire the Sith were spreading.

However, she would still maintain her alertness to their surroundings, and at Kaos's words, she gave a brief nod. She would attempt to keep the bugs away with lashing out with the Force, but if any came too close, she would slash at them with her lightsaber. Whatever was coming... were they even ready?

@Nefieslab

Indy's slinging assaulting bugs into the fire with the Force, attempting to avoid them hitting or biting her companions or herself. However, she's able to keep alert to other dangers, and has her lightsaber ready in case anything gets too close.

While her own defense had gone as planned, Vahliri couldn’t help but wince - visibly recoiled - at the injuries that Varyn suffered, eyes going wide. It was impossible to know if the centipedes were venomous, but the chuck of flesh torn out and subsequent blood loss were enough cause for concern.

Gritting her teeth, Vahliri immediately stepped backwards and towards Varyn, closing the distance to better cover him.

Vahliri knew that the lake of lightning wouldn’t last for long - but it served to immobilize the insects that entered the radius. Angling her saber close to the ground, Vahliri carved the blade in quick, hurried strokes - attempting to slice through anything that came into reach. As the centipedes began to multiply, the half-Annfyn knew she couldn’t cover for them both forever, but hopes it would buy Varyn the moment of reprieve he needed.

The Force flowed through her fingertips once more, manifesting as a gout of flame that flowed outward to bathe the floor. Seeing how the insects reacted, Vahliri hoped her attack would either incinerate them or deter their approach.

“Burn them!” Vahliri barked at Chorizo, attempting to get the Mirialan to contribute to the fight.

Edin was thankful for the hoversled. He remained elevated and able to take shots from a vantage point. He saw the ‘father’ die and he zoomed higher up in the air to avoid any of the bugs crawling out. From the looks of it, the Forcies were doing a decent job of curbing the problem. Not wanting to take any chances, he slapped in a new ammo pack and leveled his blaster. Like with the dad, he fired two shots - one to break the pod and the next to kill the mother.

The Firrerreo heard one of the mercs shout a warning of what was ahead. However, he had no desire to be the first to venture forth, so he remained with the others to clear out the room.

Tahiri was still a little stunned, but the bites to her feet woke her right up. Pain, the realization that the insects were a lot closer than she assumed, and the realization of that they were on her skin all combined to act like the shock that she needed to wake up from the trance that her earlier action had pulled her into.

She screamed, instinctively jumping backwards, but realizing quickly that did nothing as the insects were on her feet, in her clothes. With the clarity of shock and pain returned the levelheadedness that had been trained into her as a Jedi. She could panic, but it would get her nowhere, so she focused on dealing with the problem.

She reached out with the Force, both hands held at about thigh level over a foot, and closed a tight grip around her own feet. Standing still to avoid throwing herself off balance, she wrapped each foot in a telekinetic hold and pressed down. Hard enough that she could feel the pressure on her feet, and just the hint of pain at how tightly the Force was wrapped around them. Her intent was simple, stop the creatures from burrowing further up her legs and to crush them to death.

Tahiri uses a telekinetic grip on each foot to try and crush the creatures that have climbed up her legs.

Space!

@John Q

As two of the starfighter doggedly stayed on his tail, banking across the exterior of the planetoid in the same manner that he did, the third of the trio of starfighters did not. Rather than chase him in the direction he was coming from, it raced in the opposite direction, burning its engines into the red zones just to eek out some meagre scrap of spare speed.

While the two to the rear fired another two shots, each, at the retreating form of John's ship, the third ship came up across the 'horizon' in front of John. Spinning to make itself a harder target, it would fire another two shots at John's ship from the front.

A simplistic move but one that had the opportunity to trap John between a rock and attacks from two directions - a very apt description of such would be a hard place.

Something that John noticed, as he was attempting to cross the surface of the asteroid, however was something very out of place. Between two outcroppings of rock, John passed over what was, on first glance, a crater of some kind. However, as he passed over it, John and his ship's sensors would confirm that it was not a crater in the rock - it was a massive engine.

Varyn clasped his own, burning, hand to his neck and the flesh sizzled as it was cooked by the flames. The sickly, disgustingly, sweet smell of burning flesh filled the area - a bitter acrid note lingering in the back of the mouth as he managed to burn the venom that had lingered around the wound's surface. Despite burning the wound shut and managing to get the worst of the venom before it could travel very far, some of it had still crept into his body while the wound had held the door open, so to speak.

Luckily for the champion, Varyn was a young man in peak condition and he had acted quickly to avoid it extending unchecked. He would feel lightheaded, from the venom and the pain both, but he had managed to avoid the more powerful effects of the venom. Nothing that some painkillers wouldn't be able to fix he was sure.

As Varyn was busy self-harming in the name of healing, Vahliri literally stepped forward to pick up the slack when it came to actively defending him. Her quick lightsaber slashes would cut through the centipedes that got too close - those that were not immediately burned by the fires stoked by Chirzo and Charlotte at least. With the assistance of Indy, swathes of the centipedes were pushed into the flames, which burned bright enough and hot enough to cause more and more of the crawling creatures to burst in small showers of gore.

To the rear of the group, Tahiri frantically tried to pull herself together as some of the centipedes made their way onto her. Following their instincts, they immediately began to bite and attempted to burrow into and through her skin, to tear through her muscles and blood vessels in their desire to crack into her bones and feast on the marrow. Fortunately, the padawan was able to catch them as they were beginning the journey to the feast of her bone marrow, crushing them and almost hurting herself in the process. However, with a trio of bites, hidden beneath her clothes she would find herself immediately feeling light-headed.

A touch of vertigo as she had managed to crush the centipedes before they could actually do more than tear into her flesh. Intent as they had been on eating, they had not been secreting as much venom as they otherwise might have been - but still, Tahiri would find keeping her vision from swimming would take far more effort than it should have done.

Within the chamber itself, the Mother seemed to grow more aware by the second and she would start muttering to herself. Over and over again, she muttered something in what was clearly meant to be Basic - but her throat hadn't been used in a long time. Croaking noises were the only thing that emerged even as Kaos' thrown blade would shatter the glass - and Edin's duo of shots would blast the woman to death shortly thereafter. As he was taking the shots at his mother, however, the ghost moved in front of Edin, reaching out and trying desperately to tug at the bracers of the assassin.

"Mister... mister, mommy told me why they were trying to send you all away - mister, she says they were something called 'bait' for the bigger, smarter, bugs...! They couldn't speak right so they made me but I kept scaring people..."
the ghost tried to tell Edin urgently, even as his voice seemed to be growing fainter, "Mister, you were nice, deep inside... thank you for being nice..."

As the mother and father were both dead, the child of their creation, of their Wills, began to fade. At first his voice was fainter but, over the course of only a few seconds, he seemed to be growing less distinct. With one, final, tug at Edin's bracer, the boy faded from view entirely. Those with the Force would be able to tell that he had disappeared entirely, his presence in the Force ceasing to exist.

Beyond the main chamber, where the tide of centipedes seemed to finally begin to slow to a halt, the threat that Kaos had felt grew closer. The rear wall of the chamber shook, cracks appearing across the stone. A rhythm was established - a powerful thud reverberating through the entire wall, dust falling from the ceiling as the force ran through the stone.

"We should leave..."
Chirzo spoke up, cutting the flames off from her hands as the last of the centipedes died, "I don't like the idea of being lured here by anything - much less Force Sensitives held in stasis against their will."

As the woman took a step back, a chunk of the rear wall crashed down to the floor as it was bashed clean out of place by the attacker beyond the wall. Black, yellow and chitinous, the creature beyond the wall used the top half of its mouth like a battering ram - the wicked downward angle of it's scythe-like mouth rather distinctive.

Rather memorable.

Charlotte would feel her mind drawn back to the events of Thyferra.

Varyn and Vahliri would remember those stripes of yellow and black - from both nightmares and from Corellia.

wXJnNEB.png

Another chunk of the wall fell away and the hole in the wall widened to almost a foot in diameter. Enough for everyone in the room to see the writhing body of the Killik Warrior trying to burrow its way through the stone to them. It screeched in delight at spotting them - a deep hunger reverberating through the Force that was amplified as the call was taken up by more creatures behind it. Dozens, if not more, of the creatures joined in the chorus and the wall began to shake under the assault once more.

Their bait may have been killed, but it mattered little in this moment as the trap was sprung well enough. The Killiks had brought their prey to their nest and it was time to take them. They would either Join or they would suffer the same fate as those before them - bait to lure in more to come and Join them.

The planetoid you are all currently standing on is, actually, a specially made Killik Shardship!

These are, by design, often made out of asteroids, hence why it was mistaken for one by the miners, by yourselves and by many more people in the past.

By its very nature, it can pretend to be an asteroid in one area of space before moving to another to set the trap again. Each time gathering more miners and more would-be rescuers to add to the ranks of the Joined.

Standard Killik numbers within these style of ships is measured in the hundreds of thousands.

Varyn's mind was pretty well consumed by the excruciating pain that he was experiencing, but the dizziness didn't seem to be getting worse, and he wasn't dead yet, so he took all of those as good signs.

Not that he was near 100% anymore. His normal grace that he had when wielding a lightsaber was much more akin to a blocky, near-stumble as he moved back to cutting through any bugs that got close to him.

And then things just kept getting worse. It was all a trap? The assassin had killed the mother and father (Varyn really couldn't object to that and if they made it out was going to have to buy the guy a round or five), but the problems were just going to get worse.

Starchild faded into nothingness and... oh, of course it was Killiks. Why wouldn't it be Killiks?! Varyn had very unpleasant flashbacks to Corellia and as he listened to his - slightly muddled - senses in the Force, he suddenly appreciated the gravity of their situation. Without the two prisoners there to obscure things anymore, he realized just how much trouble the entire group was in.

Chorizo suggested leaving, and Varyn really couldn't argue. He suddenly wished Altair had been there to call in a couple of Star Destroyers and wipe this whole place out... but he wasn't.

Go! Back to the hangar! he shouted, starting to make that way himself, hoping they could outpace the creatures rather than fight them.

He also opened up his comlink to the pilot droid on his ship O2, get the ship fired up and ready to go, now! Coming in hot! he said.

No. By the Force. No. The walls shook, cracked, and crumbled. Images of Thyferra rushed through her mind. Charlotte stared wildly around. Fear suddenly gripping her chest. Her words were a whisper. A terrified whisper. Shardship…” Killik hives disguised as asteroids. Traps for the unwary. Charlotte simply never thought herself to be among their number. The screech vibrated throughout the ship. The call taken up by dozens of other voices. Charlotte’s eyes locked on the statis chambers. She would not end up like them. Gritting through the terror, she forced her body to move. Move damn it!

Charlotte was near the back of the group…plenty of others in front of her and the Killik swarm. Well, good luck to them. She took Varyn’s advice and took off running. The Darkside fueled by her growing fear and desperation. Charlotte resisted the urge to speeder herself ahead with the Force. She did not want to be caught alone. This is what she got for wanting to make new friends. Charlotte tried to keep her wits about her as they dashed back towards the ships and hopeful escape.

When two Sith decided to jet, it was serious. Especially at the sight of the insectoids breaching. She had heard of Killiks before; she wasn't present at their emergence to the galaxy at large, but she had heard of them.

Running did indeed seem the wisest choice.

Whipping around on her feet, she deactivated her lightsaber, but still held it just in case. Using the Force to enhance her strength and agility, she began to sprint, using her free hand to reach out and grab Tahiri around the waist and sling her over her shoulder, carrying her to escape back the way they came.

But despite the urgency of the others there, despite their fear fueling them to move, Indy felt calm. This terror, this want to fear, was subdued. She had been afraid before, long before being here, but now, there was only the need to protect her own, to keep them safe as best she could. She couldn't save everyone, sure, but she would try to save at least someone. This peace, this level-headedness, kept her from freezing up, and she kept aware of her surroundings, just in case others of the hive would appear.

@Wit @Nefieslab

Indy runs, using the Force to enhance her strength and agility, and grabs Tahiri in the process, carrying her over her shoulder. She is calm, and otherwise able to keep alert for more bugs as they go.

Tahiri felt the puncture wounds, and immediately noticed herself going light-headed. But at least the immediate threat seemed to be dealt with. But then she tried to take a step forward and immediately stopped as her head started spinning. She stopped, trying to look around to see if there were more of the centipedes to keep an eye out for, but failing to concentrate enough to be that observant.

So when Indy tried to grab her, she didn't resist, not that she was in position to even if she wanted to. Instead she let herself go limp, recalling just enough of her first aid training to know what to do to make things easier for the Jedi Master. "I..something bit me..spinning.." She managed to mumble out the words once Indy had slung her over her shoulder, and realizing that speaking was no easier than standing had been, she instead turned her focus inwards, trying to reach for the Force and try and regulate her breathing. She was no expert at healing, but maybe she could use the Force to try and clear her head a little, regain some control over herself so that she wasn't entirely useless if things went south. Further south.

Tahiri lets Indy grab her, and starts trying to regulate her breathing and clear her head a little.

Edin wasn’t exactly a sentimental dude. As the ghost boy made his tragic disappearance, the Firrerreo sighed in relief. What a creepy little shit. He glanced ahead as the wall collapsed and the Killik began to flood out. Goth Boy suggested they all leave and Edin agreed. He watched everyone turning and beginning to bolt in the opposite direction. For his part, he reached for two smoke grenades and tossed them back towards the Killik and the bugs to ruin visibility.

The Firrerreo zoomed ahead of the group and turned back to face them, “Drop the tunnels on them, Forcies!” He called out to the group. With the smoke grenades, he hoped the bugs wouldn’t be able to see well. The building was already compromised from the Killik bursting through the back wall so perhaps the Jedi and Sith could completely bury the bugs.

To assist, Edin aimed and fired bolt after bolt through the smoke, shooting indiscriminately towards the bugs as they made for the exit.

The Miralukan steeled himself as the presence came closer, his throwing razor returning to him before he put it away now that the mother had been slain. Kaos didn't quite care for the kid, but he did care about the amount of things he had sensed at once, both the big one that was probably the one to catch his attention and the many, maaaaany ones that were standing besides it...So this were the so called Killik, huh? He didn't know quite a lot about them, their main debut in the galaxy happening while he had been rotting in jail, but the fact that they had used force sensitives as bait in such a manner was chilling.

"Good thing my legs weren't spewed on..I'll lead the way, come with me if you want to live!" The Miralukan said before running towards the hangar. Matukai training didn't really make it easy for him to use the force in a way that would allow to drop the tunnels on them like Edin asked, not without getting into punching distance at least, but Kaos' Miralukan origins made him very proficient in the use of force vision, something that he had used to sense the bugs and something he would use to make sure they got out.

The Miralukan's senses would grow even sharper, attempting to use them to see the best way out and towards the hangar and trying to notice both attacks directed at them now that they had turned their back on the main horde while also making sure they wouldn't catch them off guard should they come from another side...It was foolish to think such an horde wouldn't try to swarm them from every side they could, after all.

Kaos will also gtfo, using the force to enhance his Miralukan radar and make sure the team takes the safest way out

John’s grip on the steering wheel of his ship tightened. He could see there were two starfighters tailing him. He spun and whirled down and to the side. The shots missed except for one, which grazed the side of his ship. Red lights flashed and steam hissed in his face. John was not a great pilot. He was a great miner. A hulky guy good at pounding rocks. He shouldn’t be up here. Rocks, rocks, rocks. Rocks and more rocks. John had an eye for such things.

That’s how he saw it. A crater in the asteroid? No such thing. Rocks weren't shaped as such. This didn't have that tougher, rougher texture. This was manmade. Maybe even mechanical. An engine? An opportunity.

As the last starfighter came at him from the front, John dove down in his ship even closer to the asteroid. The front ship's lasers would just miss him. John sighted his target, positioned his guns, and fired at the engine as he flew over it. One, two, three, four laser shots. Just another day in the mine. Just another rock to pulverize.

When faced with losing odds, he had to change the playing field. Whatever happened might create a diversion… or might do nothing.

Between the manipulations of the Force and graceful swipes of her lightsaber, Vahliri began to feel the first beads of sweat run down her face - pangs of exhaustion washing over her. Luckily, it didn’t take much longer for Varyn to recover - once more cutting through centipedes to re-distribute the load.

Though the last of the centipedes were incinerated or sliced into pieces, things only got worse from there. The walls began to crumble, and Vahliri felt the color drain from her face. Recognition dawned upon her immediately, as her mind was transported right back to Corellia. It had been a trap all along.

Whatever danger they believed to have been in? Paled in comparison to the reality.

“MOVE!” She barked to no one in particular, immediately sending out a concussive pulse towards any Kilik that was first through the wall. The half-Annfyn very quickly turned on a heel, beginning to bolt towards the exit.

“This is Champion Kahtal!” Vahliri spoke into her commlink, attempting to reach the soldiers that had been left with her Imperial Shuttle. “It’s a trap. This place isn’t a mine - it’s a Kilik Shardship. Prepare the engines to leave, and prepare to defend yourself.” She knew that the Swarm would attempt to seal off their escape. They needed to be prepared.

Regardless of result, Vahliri’s gaze quickly snapped towards Edin. Without a word, the half-Annfyn reached up - expanding the Force into the ceiling just behind her. Though it caused her to slow down almost completely, Vahliri poured her focus into seizing the stone and expanding any cracks formed, yanking downward. She attempted to bring down the ceiling right down behind them, in hopes of collapsing the tunnel. Anyone who decided to drag their ass would be left behind.

Space!

@John Q

John's ship would creak around him under the strain of pulling off the tight turns while having so recently taken hits from the laser cannons of his pursuers. If he wasn't careful, pulling over the same moves that would keep him from being blasted into pieces would cause enough instability to rattle his ship apart. It was a well known thing that it space there wasn't any resistance from atmosphere but one's own ship could do just as much damage to existing damage.

Thankfully for the miner, his ship was a tough old workhorse of a starship and it held together even as he pushed it to its absolute limits. The astronavigation calculations continued to whirl on the screen as the ship did its best to plot a course for his ship out to hyperspace.

As he began to fire upon the engine of the ship, however, he would be able to watch as the ship that had flanked him raced down. In front of his very eyes, the first two of his shots landed against the engine, blasting parts of it off, before the starfighter flew straight into the remaining two. It exploded into fiery debris and John was down one pursuer - one who had rammed itself into his attacks to 'protect' the engine.

The remaining two doubled down on their pursuit, however, screaming after him and opening fire with another duo of shots each aimed at the rear of his ship.

Chirzo didn't actually wait for the confirmation from the rest of the group - as soon as she spotted something beyond the wall at the back of the chamber, the miner had decided that she would be much better off literally anywhere other than where she was. She turned and ran, sprinting back the way they had come with the recklessness of someone who didn't care about those she was leaving in her dust. As far as she was concerned she didn't need to be the fastest but she did have to out-run at least one of them. Unlike Charlotte, Chirzo didn't seem to mind getting too far ahead of the group to be seen and she quickly was out of sight, disappearing through the tunnel towards the hanger bay.

As the group began to fall back to the hanger bay, with a touch of alarm in their step to be sure, the Killiks screamed in their insectoid way as they sighted their prey and their escape attempts. Indy would find herself given little trouble in hoisting Tahiri atop herself, though even with the aide of the force the Jedi would find herself one of the slower members of the group. Tahiri would be of little immediate assistance as the sudden movement would sen

d her vision spinning even more than it had been before.

Ahead, Kaos would be able to feel the presence of more of the Killiks around them - through the outer walls of the mine. As though the entire mining operation had been encircled by Killik tunnels from the very beginning.

The smoke grenades arced from Edin's hands, their payload pillowing from them at a rapid rate that quickly began to fill the whole chamber that they had been in previously. With none of the group wanting to stay and stand their ground, they would be able to see the chamber filling with smoke but were not caught up in it themselves. Through the Force, those with the insight would be able to feel a growing sense of frustration, confusion and a little bit of pain or discomfort that came from the Killiks to their rear. As the only true 'attack' on them so far, it was logical to conclude that the Killiks were, somehow, being effected by the smoke grenades.

Angered screeches from within the smoke sounded out, louder, as Edin fired into the smoke. The sounds of blaster bolts slamming into stone and into chitin rang out clearly to the hovering assassin. However, a much less welcome sound was the sound of falling stone - followed by rushing feet. Before the mass of Killiks could rush through the doorway, however, the ceiling began to collapse as Vahliri was brought to a halt as she pulled down the support of the ceiling - cause a cave-in to begin at the edge of the chamber.

Rocks fell and outraged screeches rang out as they did so, against a backdrop of rocks striking and breaking chitin. Despite the barrage, however, three of the warrior Killiks burst out through the debris, one of them rushing too fast and slamming itself into the side of a wall, one of them skidding forward on uncertain feet and one delaying in place to gather its wits.

A large rock fell, crushing the last one. The other two, however, were damaged from their sprint through the falling debris but they were not ready to just lay down and die - as one they turned to their prey as they were now clear of the smoke.

The one closest to the wall screeched as it sank its legs into the stone of the wall - before skittering up along the wall, running across the wall and up to the roof before throwing itself bodily toward Edin's hovering form from the ceiling.

Back on the ground, the one that had skidded to a halt lowered itself slightly to the ground. It was a position that both Varyn and Vahliri remembered well - it was the way that they coiled themselves to give extra strength. Indeed, the creature launched itself at Vahliri, pouncing with its front two legs extended forward in an attempt to impale the young Sith through the chest.

Within the hanger, the Sith troopers brought along by Vahliri would begin firing up the engines of her transport ship even as a trio of them jumped out in their full armour as the utility droid seemed to just watch them. The hanger had long since been resecured since the departure of the two ships previously and the utility droid simply waited, expecting the order to prepare the hanger bay almost before the soldiers could give the command.

The doors to the hanger, however, remained firmly shut.

"I regret to inform you that the doors to the hanger bay appear to be sealed at a higher level of security than I can access." the droid informed the soldiers, "Do your friends possess cutting tools?"

Varyn continued to fall back, his primary concern other than making sure he got out alive was making sure Vahliri did as well. He glanced back and saw her pulling down parts of the ceiling at the merc's behest and... well, it seemed to be working.

He also saw one of the creatures begin to taking a position he recognized all-too-well, and he moved without even really thinking about it.

He launched himself at the creature from the side, looking to chop the back legs off before it could make its leap and preventing it from attacking Vahl. He knew such moves worked because he'd used them on Corellia, and if he was successful, he would continue to carve through the creature with his saber while keeping his other on the defensive just in case the bug got any other plans.

Charlotte rushed through the tunnels. Her mind laser focused on not being caught unaware. Chirzo raced past the Queen Mother. Clearly one of them did not care about being separated from the group. All she wanted was to get to hangar. Dimly, Charlotte could hear the rush of stone breaking…she could feel the Force being worked. She had no desire to find out what was going on there. Instead, her head titled to find Indy and Tahiri bringing up the rear. For half a second she was torn. Chirzo having raced ahead…why would Charlotte stay? She was selfish, prideful…a Sith.

But, a little secret existed deep in Charlotte’s heart. The Darkness was her greatest ally while surviving the horrible trials of the Order. She survived because of her strength. She survived. Years away from the Sith…years away from living constantly with the Darkside. She had started to remember who she used to be before that life.

Charlotte growled. Fuck it. She ran back towards Indy and Tahiri. Telling herself she was only helping because they stood a better chance together. She threw her weight under Tahiri, pumping the Force through her body. “I won’t ruin my chance of getting out of here because you’re too slow.” Charlotte was careful not to let her concentration slip.

Edin saw the Killik scuttling up the wall and towards the ceiling. He purposely hovered until the last minute, whizzing back abruptly to let gravity do the work. As a result, the Killik would likely fall right down to the ground. The downside was that it likely landed right by the Goth couple. The upside was that Edin didn’t give a shit. He would spin and hover his ass right out of there. If by some miracle his abrupt dodge didn’t work, he would still attempt to veer back and then blast the Killik with a few bolts.

The hoverboard was proving to be a godsend as he zoomed above the others and through the tunnels. He shot past a group of people and caught up near the Sith (@Valen Pelora ) that was ahead. She paused, hesitated and began to run back for her comrades. Without wasting a moment, Edin aimed and shot a bolt right near her foot. The gesture was on purpose and she would know the next one would go through her head. He moved quicker than she did and he would drop her ass if she tried anything.

“Cut open the fucking hangar door now,” He stated icily with his blaster leveled as he remained on the hoverboard. There was no time for anyone to be a hero right now and he would kill this woman, take her saber, and do the job himself if he had to. But she would not be going back to help her friends that were likely getting butchered. At the same time, he signaled his droid to get his ship ready to leave at once.

The Miralukan didn't exactly know what to do, this situation was not one he exceeded at, not in his current state at least: He wasn't close enough to take on the bug in the distance, his arm was fucked up so he couldn't grab his ripper staff to cut that hole himself and his force radar wouldn't help him further now that he knew for sure they were basically surrounded on all ends...The best he could do is use his head and think things through, herd the others and help them group up

"He is right, don't worry, they'll catch up by the time you're done carving that path, now go!" Kaos barked at the sith champion after Edin had just threatened her life, even if he was a self serving man, he was totally right. That being said, it was also wise to stay as close to each other as possible, finding strength in numbers, so Kaos let Indy catch up to him so she could run alongside her "You're in better condition than I am, jedi, give her to me, it's for the better that you do the fighting"

Should Indy listen to him, the Matukai warrior would now be the one to fireman carry the padawan on his shoulder and running towards the hangar. The Matukai may be down one arm, but he was still a very big, very strong Matukai that could run carrying a small woman on his shoulder without too much of an issue, he was more worried about his surroundings as he expected bugs to surprise him from anywhere now.

Offering to carry the padawan so the jedi master is able to fight effectively, other than that he is still running.
