DESCRIPTION: | One of the current flagship products of Rosenthal Galactic, the MCH-WRR01 Precursor Construction Mech is a hulking son of a bitch with both armour and power behind it. Its construction is both rugged in looks and in resistance, It was designed to operate under almost any conditions that could be thrown at it, from the bitter cold of Hoth to the volcanic heat of Mustafar the Precursor will simply keep chugging onwards undeterred. Of course, a machine wouldn't be much a machine if it couldn't protect its pilot. The Entire cockpit of the precursor is climate controlled and all air that comes in and out of the machine is filtered constantly with chemical warning indicators in the case that they somehow fail. No breathable, filterable oxygen at all? Inside a Vacuum? The Precursor comes equipped with not one, not two, but three ninety minute tanks of pure oxygen which feed into the cockpit while the filters remove exhaled CO2 allowing it to operate in almost any environment you can think of. The cockpit windows themselves are nigh shatterproof and resistant to all but high calibre slugs as construction equipment standards require and are also backed by an energy shield system over each window to temporarily prevent damage from such intensity factors such as plasma jets. Finally, in the event the windows are compromised in some factor, hard metal slats can slide up from the inside of the cockpit and completely seal it, the pilot using cameras and monitors as replacement visuals. It even has a spot for a small shield generator. Though, as a new product, and its current marketing as a construction piece, the precursors extreme modularity allows it to serve in almost any number of roles. Almost every part of the mech can be taken apart and swapped out with another allowing a skilled engineer to bend it to almost any purpose they have in mind, that's everything from armoured plates and computer systems right down to the engines that drive it. As for actual mountable equipment though, the Precursor has large ports and data outlets so that any equipment being hooked up can have some relative form of control and communication with the mech itself. On the sides small to medium sized pieces of equipment are typically mountable, this is everything from mining lasers to small cranes, to water cannons, to actual mechanical arms and tractor beams for dealing with downed rubble. The rear mountings themselves, though can fit whatever is necessary, are generally geared towards much heavier equipment, and are generally used as expansion slots of sorts. Things like power packs, oxygen tanks, or even powerful sensor arrays are often attached. Other times its attachments usages are so simple as functional as a carrier for heavy industrial materials such as steel girders or giant forklift for moving large crates. This modularity lets it be useful in many other areas aside from construction too. That's not to say the Precursor isn't without its own dark side. This mech isn't so one dimensional as many might think when they look at it. It may be marketed as a wholly modular and rugged machine for construction purposes, but someone with a knack for invention might see the truth behind its design. The Precursor is not merely a rough and tough construction mech, but rather a readily available, cheaply made, extremely resilient, easily repaired, and somewhat inexpensive, battle mech that'll fire whatever you can strap to it. |
