Megalights make no sense at all - a hard speed limit in space is kinda ridiculous, so I've always thought of it more as a maximum combat/maneuvering speed. Sort of a 'this is as fast as you can go while still actually being able to turn and shit in a timely fashion' type of dealio.

So strictly speaking, the site's hard limit of 200MGLT is there and that's a thing, but a really powerful booster sending a ship hurtling in a straight line... But then Newtonian Physics are a thing and the ship keeps going when the rockets cut off and oh my god megalights are a headache.

Just wanted to state thanks for that Unified Tech List. Its a ****ing gold mine that I have been trying to find for a while. Lol.

Pretty good, 5 of us in all so far. A solid group and I've pretty much put the Rangers back in the present, not a lot actually happened in the five months I was gone.
