Making a break for it

Mackenzie was signed up for a dancing competition for her life with another girl. She was starting to get really sick of this. The big fat slob that was her slave master signed her up for this contest to see if she could pull it off against one of his friends slaves. As they made their way to the theatre which is where the dance was being held, Kenzie noticed that it was an open stage for anyone to see in from the outside, plus this could be a good place to make a break for it. She was then caught by surprise and pulled out of her thoughts when the hutt talked to her.

"Better not try anything slave girl." he had said to her. She rolled her eyes and replied. "Yeah you know me, don't think I won't try." the swollen scars on her bare back were still painful from the years she had been beaten nonstop for trying to escape. She wore a skin tight shirt that was open in the back along with skin tight pants with diamond slits in the sides of them. Her hair was also pulled back into a ponytail braid so it was out of the way. It was either that or the mean old hutt was going to slice it all off.

They finally got to the stage and she staged her escape as it was her turn to go up on stage with this other girl. The other girl had a top on that covered her shoulders to her rib cage and shorts that we're skin tight and very short. Soon the music started and the games were off! When Kenzie did her dance moves, she used the force occasionally to help with her planned escape. The girl next to her slipped and that gave Mackenzie a chance to force jump over the entire crowd and she made her way put of the death trap. A whip snapped at her foot, tripping her, but she used the force to grab her sabers from the clearly stunned hutt and cut the whip from her stuck foot. She then noticed four bounty hunters coming after her and she muttered a curse word before taking off, hooking her sabers to her belt and running as fast as she could as she was then shot at a few times getting wounded in her lower back, leg and shoulder.

Than something hit her. Almost literally. She ran into another force sensitive that wasn't letting her pass. His grip was strong and she winced in pain noticing that the sabers on his belt were clearly a Sith's Lightsaber. She continued struggling as she thought of the trailing bounty hunters behind her.

When Josis arrived on Tattoine , he never imagined he would be watching a dancing competition hosted by the Hutt's! All he wanted was a drink and he would of left but a dancing competition got him intrigued. As he sat down on one of the stools near the door, he couldn't help but notice the two dancers that were preforming on stage. He could sense the presence of the force being used and reckoned that it was one of the dancers. As he focused more he narrowed the source down to the girl with the swollen back and winced at her slashed back. He watched as she danced and noticed slightly that she was moving certain objects with the force. He grinned to himself as he quickly narrowed down in his mind that she was perhaps a Jedi! He had been searching for a long time for the order and he knew the imperials would track him here eventually so this girl was his only hope. As Josis quietly reached out, moving objects away for her but slowly, in case someone noticed her plans for escape.

As the girl jumped over the crowd, Josis smiled to himself as he stood in the doorway so that no one else would leave, he noticed her being shot at and as she neared the door. He grabbed her as she ran straight into him, wheeling her around so that she was out the door and he was still standing in the doorway. "Where do you think your going?" he said to the bounty hunters with a large grin on his face. "I am looking forward to killing you bounty hunters. I've not had a fight in ages!" as he drew his double red lightsabers and closed in on the bounty hunters. He swung his lightsabers dashing to each bounty hunter then slashing them. As the bodies of four bounty hunters lay on the floor, he turned his attention to Mackenzie "So do you want off the planet? If so, please follow me to my ship" as he turned and walked towards the parked ship.

Mackenzie squealed slightly as she was picked up and then put on the other side of the door and watched in awe as he killed all four bounty hunters. He had then turned to her asking if she wanted to leave and she nodded almost immediately after his question.

"Yeah, that'd be great!"

She said great fully as she then followed him to his ship. Kenzie was breathing hard from the complicated looking moves she was doing. Her back, leg, and shoulder were in so much pain from the fresh blaster bolts in her skin. They burned like crazy and she limped on the way to his ship due to the unbearable pain.

 

[Cheshire]

"Tell you what. Just this once ill carry you as you are in no state to walk." as he picks up Mackenzie and walked towards his ship. "So you are clearly not originated as a Hutt dancer so tell me, what is a Jedi doing as a dancer?" as he made his way inside his ship, he carefully put Mackenzie down on a small couch. He quickly gathered his medical supplies box "I hope your good at this, as I am hopeless. So where should I set the destination for?" he replied with a small grin

She looked at him as he came forward to pick her up. Her eyes widened as she backed up the very slightest, but he was already picking her up and she put her arm around his shoulder clearly just to hold on for now although she was very thankful that he was helping her. "Oh, thank you, I could have made it, but thank you." she said politely.

Kenzie then heard him ask why she was a Jedi as a dancer for the hutts and she looked away slightly as she then explained. "Well, it was a few years ago, four years to be exact, I was on a mission with two younger padawans and we were assigned to adress the hutts of incoming imperials and instead, we completed the mission and they were forced to leave without me. The hutt that enslaved me, he was mesmerized by my so called beauty and decided to keep me as a servant and an entertainment slave. I've tried to escape ever since then and as you can see, didn't succeed until today. That's what all of the scars. Are on my back, it was from the daily beatings I got when I tried to make a break for freedom."

She was explaining as they boarded the ship and he set her down on a couch. "Well, I have done some practice healing, on my back, but that was hopeless, but this should work for blaster wounds. For the blast on my shoulder I can't exactly reach it, would you mind being able to put this bandage on the blast?" she asked. Kenzie didn't want to sound helpless, but she needed help with that spot. She had put bandages on her leg and lower back and then she handed one to him to put on her shoulder. It was just in such a hard spot for her to reach.

Mackenzie then thought of places to go before she then just said, "Anywhere other than here, I don't have a place to go to so it doesn't matter to much. Just anywhere the hutts aren't." Mackenzie just hoped to leave Tattooine and never return there.

 

[Cheshire]

"Sure ill get the bandage!" As he began to apply the bandage on the wound, he couldn't help but notice the large wounds on her back. "Well sounds like you didn't have a fun time either. Oh I haven't introduced myself! My name is Josis Shatora, nice to meet you" After getting the bandages on the wound that she had requested, he then started to make sure all the other wounds were properly healed before continuing to talk to the girl. "Well I have to ask a question. Do you know where I can become a jedi? Im already on the run from the Sith for what I did...." He faltered before biting his lip nervously "Well i was looking to join the Jedi and I thought you could help me!"

Mackenzie nodded a quick thanks to him and noticed that he found the nasty scars on her back after she told him about them. "No i didnt, plus that dancing was miserable. He barely fed me." she then lit up when he introduced himself. "Well, it's nice to meet you, I'm Mackenzie Bridger, but please, I prefer Kenzie." she said. Once he finished putting the bandages she turned to look at him. "Thank you. And I think I may know one place, but I haven't been there in so long. Four years is a long time as a slave, but that's over. Anyway I think there is one on the planet Kothlis. I don't think the Empire is anywhere near there. I believe that's where I had my training. But yes I could possibly help you." she said with a small smile.

 

[Cheshire]

"Excellent! It would be much appreciated if I could go there. Do you think I could keep my lightsabers, How does the order work..." Josis was in an excitable mood and was grinning like a two year old that had been offered candy. He was so happy to of finally found someone that could take him there! He wanted to cry in relief that someone
could help him instead of hunt him. As Josis sprints over to the cockpit and took off, he flew out of the planets range and jumped to hyperdrive. "Ill be back in a minute!" He cheerily replied as he walked over to his quarters. As Josis got things together, he felt an unease and a sense of dread that had followed him every since he fled Lamia in order to escape the Imperials wrath for the murder of his parents and helping a Jedi. That would certainly be a death sentence. As Josis tried to brush the feelings aside he still felt it from the bottom of his soul. As he tried to act as cheery as he once was he walked through to the couch where Mackenzie was sitting on. "Want some food?" He replied in an unconvincing cheerful accent.

Mackenzie saw his face all lit up and she smiled. "No problem, but the sabers, may want to ask a head master at the temple when we get there. I can tell there is a little bit of a story behind them, but maybe they'll let you keep them as a keepsake, if you say it's a remembrance of your family they'll probably guaruntee that you keep it." She said. The smile on his face made her keep her kind off of her wounds for the mean time. Anyone that could have been near the ship, would sense happiness no matter if they were force sensitive or not, it was very clear that he was happy and that made her happy.

She watched and giggled slightly as she saw him run over to the cockpit expressing excitedly that he'd be back in a minute. "Ok! I'll be here." she said that knowing that she couldn't go anywhere anyway. Kenzie decided to help him and she would be there all the way. Her response was much happier due to his excitedness. She then sensed that something wasn't exactly right after he had disappeared and she narrowed her eyes the very slightest. When he came back she knew he had depressed a little since he left and his response wasn't as cheery but she pushed that much aside and responded to his offer of food. She nodded before responding, "Oh, yes please, food sounds really good."

 

[Cheshire]

"Is a Shrimpycup alright? Its all I have left I'm afraid." As Josis started to prepare one for himself. He was quietly thinking about his new life as a Jedi and that nearly bolstered his mood. He didn't know much about the order or how it operated but he did have some Old Jedi Order books that he picked up from worlds that he visited. The Old Order stated that someone always had the dark side inside them but what they could do was try to conceal it within their person. Well Josis was fairly certain he had the dark side within him, after all he was raised by the Sith's. He tried to conceal it for Mackenzie but the he couldn't help but get into a fight with the bounty hunters. The problem with the fight was that he actually enjoyed it. He kept thinking to himself as he placed the Shrimpycup down on the table next to Mackenzie

"Uh, yeah, that's fine. I'm just really hungry right now." she said politely smiling. Kenzie watched as he was then preparing them and waited patiently for hers. She wasn't a big fan of seafood, but right now she needed to eat something and it was good enough. She wondered what would happen on their journey to the Order. She wondered if there would be sith, more bounty hunters... a shiver went down her spine at the thought of bounty hunters. She was then pulled out of thought when the cup was sat down on a table next to her. She then scooched over closer to the table where it was and started eating. "Thank you. This actually tastes really good after having nothing for a month." she said politely.

 

[Cheshire]

"YOU HAVEN'T EATEN FOR A MONTH!" Josis exclaimed "Right we are stopping off for some food. Pick your posion I don't care but im as sure in hell getting you food"

Mackenzie jumped at his exclamation, her eyes widened and her heart had a start. "Well, uh, yeah, they didn't feed me very often." she said hesitantly. His burst out had clearly startled her.

 

[Cheshire]

"So where do you want to go? I don't mind as long as it is on the way to Kothlis. Im getting you some food. You must be starving!" Josis couldn't believe how she had survived on no food. She desperately needed something. "Plus we can get you patched up on the way"

Mackenzie thought for a second, "I think we could probably get some stuff on Kothlis, as it is, we should almost be there." She was kinda surprised on how he was taking this.

 

[Cheshire]

"Sure. Ill get myself into a better state and the we shall be off!" as Josis walked into his quarters, he couldn't help but feel slightly nervous for meeting the Jedi for the first time. He started to get changed into formal black robes that gave all the vibes of a Sith and tried to think clearly and calmly about the situation that may unfold. As Josis steeled himself, he could still hear the whispers of dread and sorrow in his head. He pushed them into the back of his mind before jumping out of hyperdrive as he had reached his destination. Josis carefully landed the ship down on one of the sandy beaches and put a determined face on. "We're here"

Mackenzie nodded with a smile. "Ok." she watched as he went into his quarters and then she finished the cup off quickly and waited for him. Once he came back out the ship had emerged from hyperspace and he said that they had arrived to their destination. She looked at the planet and sighed. "It's just as beautiful as it was when I left. But I'm guessing it had to have changed since I left."

 

[Cheshire]

"Not all things change. Especially people. Is there anything I should know before arriving at the temple?" he said as he was walking out the ship. "Ill follow you. I have no idea where we are going"

 

[Rae Anne Jarrus]

She looked at the planet for another minute and then looked at him responding. "Nah, the planet should be pretty safe because of the temple. Everyone here is generally pretty nice and hospitable. I hope that hasn't changed.." she said.

 

[Cheshire]

"I'm still keeping my guard up. Its only natural that they feel threatened. I look like the biggest Sith ever. Lead the way!" As he waited for Mackenzie to go
