First I'll need to know if we'll be constituting the campaign's main antagonists or just a group of rivals to the fellowship.
If you'd like, Rom, I (and Samara if he wants to help) can NPC all of the enemies while you guide the plot/other NPCs. That way there are two groups of people fighting each other with no... conflicted loyalties or whatever you'd like to call it.
It also helps because that way Samara and I can keep RPing consistently, since obviously our characters wouldn't appear constantly.
Is it alright if I share thoughts I had based on players choices in PM with you?
I had kinda been thinking that after the Nine failed so utterly at the Ford of Bruein that Sauron would send out a small force solely responsible for taking back the Ring and thought you guys could be that. Not replacing Sauron or Saruman as main antagonists, but being that constant threatening force waiting to strike. Hell, you could even infiltrate the Fellowship if you came up with a good enough reason to justify the how.
Also, should I make a Maiar like Gandalf character for the party or just cut out the wizard entirely or make Gandalf an NPC within the group?
I'd rather we just cut out the wizard entirely, especially moreso than just using Gandalf. I don't know if anyone on this site could really do the character justice, and it's not crucial to the cause.
