I will totally organize it... we can do a LotRO style story if no one has any complaint - a team of Heroes fighting against the dark forces of Angmar and Mordor while the Fellowship makes it's way to the Mountain of Doom to destroy the ring...

Or we can make our own fellowship and let humorous hijinks reign supreme.... OR we can take it back in time to one of the other ages, possibly back to the War with Morgoth (picture entire armies of Balrogs and Dragons... yeah)

Well I vote for more of a plot-driven rp than a nation rp.

Well first a couple of things:

Do we want it to take place during the War of the Ring?
Do we want to make our own Fellowship and depart from the usual course, seeing where our choices and ambitions lead us as we quest to destroy the Ring (or perhaps take it for ourselves....)?
Do we want to recognize established fellowship members, or just wave off their existence and create a canon of our own?

It would be interesting if our characters, save maybe a GM who either roleplayed with us at the same time or guided the storyline, were part of a caravan of adventurers or mercenaries assembled during the War of the Great Jewels, which culminated in the War of Wrath.

Something like that anyway. My knowledge of LotR canon isn't exactly comprehensive. :P
