Lightsabers in DOTR

Yeah, she has two white lightsabers. Thematically it represents the fact that she's no longer a Jedi. She's a powerful Force user without any labels. So the white reflects her lack of allegiance to any particular group. Ahsoka, like Anakin Skywalker before her, is ultimately loyal to people and what she believes to be right, rather than institutions of power.

I just started season 2 of The Clone Wars. I know it came out a while ago, but it's really good.

I mean, on lightsaber crystals - I don't see why we couldn't allow a hybridization of the Legends and Canon versions of crystals.

Like, as far as I know, there's nothing stopping a Pontite lightsaber crystal from being a Pontite Kyber crystal, really, if that makes sense. It'd just be a distinct type of Kyber crystal.

That's what MockaDash ultimately settled on. The kyber crystal his character will use will have been called Durindfire but it'll still have been a kyber crystal.

though um...I never got a good answer or forgot it, but um...whats up with the idea of making the category in the template called "Lightsaber Forms" rewrote to be said "Prefered Lightsaber Form"?

Now, what about some of the more niche form of lightsaber, like a krayt dragon pearl? It's nothing that Rhonan's backstory or character arch hinges on, but with his master being Cathar as well, the idea of sending Rhonan on a Blood Hunt as his final Trial and gaining a krayt pearls from the beastly shagnasty for his Knight saber(s) had a particular thematic appeal.

We're not really makign any rules about limits on lightsabers forms, since they're effectively meaningless in actual RP. So whatever you prefer, really.

Now, what about some of the more niche form of lightsaber, like a krayt dragon pearl? I doubt the staff really care strongly enough to say no to something like this, so...sure, go for it. >.>

Your lightsaber still has to be powered by a kyber crystal, though. However the pearl interacts with that in any way is up to you.

Well I guess this is the best place to post this question(s)

Dark Saber. Is that a black Light saber?
How many Dark Sabers are there?
And who gets them? Or it, if there's only one?

So far as we know, there is only one darksaber. We haven't decided what we're doing with it at the moment, beyond vague notions that maybe, depending on how the timeline goes, we'll be able to play out Clan Vizsla stealing it from the Jedi.

I'd say there's only one. Kinda lessens the significance if House Viszla have this ancient heirloom and the Jedi are all 'oh pfft we have 200 of them in storage.'

Perhaps there could be more at the onset, like relics of great Jedi Crusaders or some such jargon and when Vizla makes it out with the Darksaber, the rest are destroyed. Probably something explosion related, because Mandos. It would deepen the significance and value of the darksaber, then, if so much history just went "poof". It'd be like someone setting the Louvre on fire to cover their escape with the Mona Lisa.

Maybe we can create a character whose usage of the darksaber was sort what made it a relic worth keeping around. You know, the good 'ol mythological sword archetype, with the blade itself being unique but the person wielding it having given it significance? Someone who would preferably not have family members, we don't even need a last name really. Like, throwing this out there, Gillard the Bold, and his ledgendary Darksaber, who did some such and stuff stuffs until his death at yadda yad.
