Jan Soammei's Bogan Training

[Emperor Gary]

"Damn!" That was the last thought in Jan's head before he was hit with the lightwhip, giving him a burn on the arm. And as soon as he landed, the lightning bolt electrocuted him. Jan screamed in pain, but he still stood on his feet, holding his lightsaber. Now full with anger, he unleashed Force Lightning upon his master, hoping that this would buy him some time.

 

[Keinushi]

Katarn raised a hand, gathering the Jan's lightning as it hit her. Once she had created a nice ball out of the lightning, she threw it back at the apprentice, adding her own lightning to the mix, doubling the size of the attack.

 

[Emperor Gary]

Jan quickly dodged the lightning, moved closer to his master and unleashed a series of strong thrusts towards Katarn.

 

[Keinushi]

Katarn dodged and weaved, deftly escaping the blades burning touch. as she dodged she began to swing her whip so that it came closer and closer to the apprentice's leg until it was about to connect.

 

[Emperor Gary]

"Shit!" Jan tripped while evading Katarn's lightwhip, and fell right down to her feet, dropping his lightsaber. He sighed. This is going nowhere... He said, standing up. We should probably end here today... I need to go have my arm healed, plus I'm really tired.

 

[Keinushi]

Katarn smiled. Deactivating her blade and whip she tossed them aside and knelt down next to the acolyte. A white light emanated from her hand as she passed it over the injured arm. A couple seconds later, the wound was healed.

 

[Emperor Gary]

Thanks... Jan muttered and went towards the door. See you tomorrow... He said and left the room.



The next day, he was once again standing in his master's room. Good morning. Jan spoke. What should we do today? I'm asking for an advice, not a direction.

 

[Keinushi]

"You know the rules." Katarn smiled. "What you decide to learn reflects upon my judgement of you."

 

[Emperor Gary]

Well, since you're an assassin, I was hoping if you could tell/teach me some things on how to assassinate people... I want to become an assassin myself. Jan smiled.

 

[Keinushi]

"The best advice I can give you is of course to not get caught." Katarn smiled. "But I can go further. If you can never get close enough to a mark so that he can recognize you. If you do have to get that close, you better have a good cover story. And never, ever, use anger to power your attacks. Jedi can smell it on you. It blows your cover instantly. Lastly, if your cover is blown, stick to it anyways. I've tricked people into trusting me by sticking to an already blown cover."
