Jan Soammei's Bogan Training

[Emperor Gary]

OOC: Katarn Cabaoth is the master.

IC: Jan was waiting for his master in the training room. He was really happy about joining the Dark Jedi. He had been searching for a way to serve them for a long time now. "Of course, I wanted to join the Jedi at first, but they are pussies. The Dark Jedi are way better." Jan smiled. "This is gonna be fun."

 

[Keinushi]

Katarn entered a room backwards, her attention directed at someone in the hall. "I have a student now, but later!" She pointed at an unseen figure. "Later, you and me! We're torturing that soldier together."

"Its a date!" The unseen voice responded.

Katarn laughed and turned to the room, pulling her datapad from her side. "Ah, Jan right?"

 

[Emperor Gary]

Jan looked at his master with surprise. "A woman? I didn't know women can be Dark Crusaders... but oh well." He thought and spoke Good evening. Yes, I am Jan, Jan Soammei, to be precise. And you are? Jan asked his master.

((you use "" for thoughts and not for speaking???? strange. Where did you learn grammar? ^_^))

"Katarn Cabaoth." Katarn smiled. "I see you were able to find the meeting place alright. That's good. I had to search the entire temple to find my last apprentice. He was meditating in one of the abandoned corridors. Anyway, I will be your master until you finish your training. Now, what is the extent of your expertise?"

 

[Emperor Gary]

((Yes, I find it easier like that. If you mean that my English is bad, sorry, English isn't my first language, I only learned it at school))

Well, I guess I can fight with a sword somewhat. I practiced it when I was a child. But I can't seem to control the Force yet. Jan stood up. That's why I came to the Dark Jedi. To learn these things. To control the Force. To build a lightsaber and be able to fight with it. I am hoping you will be able to teach me those things. Jan looked at his master with cold eyes.

 

[Keinushi]

Katarn smiled. "I can teach you everything you need to know about the force." Katarn then grabbed a small rock from her belt and flung it at the acolyte. If he did not move, it would fly past his head under the power of the force a mere inch from his left ear. She needed to test his reflexes, see if he could call upon the force in a desperate situation.

Jan went and caught the rock with his hand. Um... what exactly was the purpose of this? He looked at his master with doubt.

 

[Keinushi]

"A test of reflexes, psychological profile, and possible skills with the force." Katarn made a couple notes on her datapad. "You can tell a lot about someone from this simple test. I can tell you have good reflexes from the fact that you not only noticed the rock, but caught it as well. However your reflexes haven't spread to force abilities due to the fact that you simply caught the rock rather than stop it or push it aside using the force."

Katarn paused hitting a final button before looking up. "You are also a man of action due to the fact that your first reaction was to 'attack' it by catching it rather than the normal reaction of simply dodging out of the way. It also reveals either a deep trust in myself, a general stupidity, or you are brave to a fault since you caught the rock even though I might have thrown it a a speed where it could damage your hand or the rock itself might have been sharp enough to fly straight through your skin. Hopefully it is the first or third option, as you shall not live long if the second is true."

[Emperor Gary]

Jan looked at Katarn, really surprised. Wow... you can tell that much just from throwing me a rock? You're good. Jan's respect for his master increased tenfolds. You are correct, I am a man of action, I like to take things into my hands. What about you? What kind of a person are you, master?

 

[Keinushi]

"I am an Assassin." Katarn smiled. "I've been assassinating people since I was 15. I keep to the shadows, hide my presence, and at the last second... I use the force to twist their heads 180 degrees breaking their necks where upon I search them for useful items if possible and then leave them for dead."

The whole time Katarn spoke her voice got lighter and lighter, a smile spreading across her face as she spoke of the way she dispatched her enemies.

"Running into a room full pelt, force flying out every which way can be surprising." Katarn explained. "But even if you electrocute every person in the room killing them all instantly with a single bolt of lightning, you have still made a lot of noise, potentially alerting everyone around you to your presence and possibly destroying useful electronics in the room. With small quiet kills I can take out an entire complex without anyone knowing I was ever there, except that everyone is now dead."

As Katarn got to 'With small quiet...' her eyes rolled back slightly as if she were in pure ecstacy at the mere remembrance of those moments.

 

[Emperor Gary]

Upon watching Katarn talk, Jan started to feel very excited. "She's the best master, like, ever! I can't wait to begin my training." When she finished talking, he spoke Wow... you're awesome. I'm glad I got you as my master. Jan smiled.

 

[Keinushi]

((O.O))

"Uh," Katarn was caught unaware by the statement, her face showed her surprise. She quickly brightened however. "Thank you. Now what would you like to learn today?"

 

[Emperor Gary]

Well, I kind of already know how to use a sword efficiently... Jan began thinking. I'd like you to teach me some Force Powers and how to use the Force in general.

 

[Keinushi]

"Of course." Katarn made a couple more notes on her datapad. "Now I'm going to launch several rocks at your face, I want you to try and stop them with the force."

 

[Emperor Gary]

Alright. Jan nodded, closed his eyes and began concentrating. "Okay... I'm supposed to let it flow or something... let it take over my body. Relax. Concentrate." And so he stood there, trying to control the Force inside of him.

 

[Keinushi]

"I just imagine what I want to do and it happens." Katarn commented. "Anyway, here comes the first one."

She launched the rock, she would stop it an inch from his face, no reason to tell him that though.

[Emperor Gary]

Ok. Jan began concentrating again. "The rock must fly past me... the rock will fly past me... I command it to fly past me..."

However, the rock stopped, an inch from Jan's face. He was at deep surprise. "Did... I make it happen?" He thought and looked at his master with a confused face.

 

[Keinushi]

"Unfortunately no." Katarn sighed, hitting some more buttons on her datapad. I allow the first one to be a free-by. The next one will hit you right between the eyes however. Keep trying to picture it stopping before you."

Katarn picked a second rock out of her pocket and lauched it at the padawan. This one would hit, and it would hurt a lot if he didn't stop it.

 

[Emperor Gary]

Jan began concentrating again."It will stop. It will stop. It will stop!" His calling upon the Force worked, and the rock stopped an inch from his face. Jan opened his eyes. I... did it. I used the Force. I can't believe it. He smiled with excitement.

 

[Keinushi]

Katarn smiled and began hitting more keys on her datapad. "Good, the fear of pain I have found is a great teacher. Teaches faster than any technique I know. We'll now spend the rest of the day moving stuff."
