The psychic warrior will prove to be a decent meatshield for a little while possibly, with force screen his AC is 18 which is reasonably high for a level one. His sword will hit level one monsters like a truck to the face, although his to hit with it is meh. Cleric might not mesh well with Bee's character being evil, and mine being chaotic with evil tendencies. Although that could make for some interesting RP situations lol. They can make effective meatshields too with their heavy armor and whatnot.

What class would you recommend for a dwarf? I'm a bit out of practice. Haha

Well, I can always try something else in the name of synergy - I'd been considering a bard, too. I remember CoZ being kinda bad themselves.

Does my character sheet need anything special to specify she's a dual-wielder? I'm sort of dumb.

Fighter -> Dwarven Defender is an obvious and easy choice. They're pretty good at pretty much anything though.

Yeah, you take a -4 to attack rolls when dual-wielding without the appropriate feats. D:

Until we start the chapter, you may change up your characters.

As I am much too lazy to read through all of the posts in this thread, how will it operate? Will we be using Roll20, or what?

Also... dibs on Bard.

It'll be more focus on storytelling (rping) with little focus on rolling. We're using the 3.5 edition.

Zarus is the lawful evil deity of human supremacy and domination. I don't think alignment would the the issue ;) pretty sure they might not like the whole race perspective.

Does everyone use skype? We could use a group chat to coordinate stuff and keep track of any of the dice rolling bits, too.

Also, it's really boring to start at level 1. Given the ages of nearly all our characters, would it be feasible to say we start at level 5 or 6 instead?

Theoretically since I'm a half-giant, they have a level adjust of +1 which gives me an effective character level of 2. So in a normal campaign everyone that chooses a race without a level adjust, which everyone else has done so far, you guys would all start at level 2 to compensate.

Specifically, I was thinking of changing to a ranger. IIRC they get an animal companion at level 4, and it'd be nice to have to start with. Is there any way around that?

When I played 3.5e, Rangers were given a companion to start out with. To keep things simple for the new players, I say we just start at level 1 and give you a companion, whose capabilities are also scaled down to compensate.[/st]

Too slow! ;p Taking note of Relent's post, we should probably start at level 2 as well, yes? Damn half-giants.

3.5, I've checked and all 4 characters are within 3.5 rulings.
