3.5 is definitely the way to go, much more room to do actual roleplaying. I've been playing d&d for about seven or eight years, 3.5 for the majority of it so if you have any questions about anything I'd love to actually use all the useless knowledge in my brain for once. :P

When I do have questions, I'll ask you or Saul(I'm only familiar with DDO and a few forgotten realms books). The OOC and info for Chapter 1 is up.

Count me in. It's always good to have a Thief on your side.

Alright, now we just need people to post up their characters in the OOC.

Are there any restrictions as far as race or class goes?

I'd hit up Relent. I've RP'd before on-and-off, but almost entirely with amateurs so I still consider myself an amateur. Just, enough of an amateur to be cavalier about playing 4th edition. I assume that this will be an honor system version of AD&D where it's more roleplay and less die rolling, and die rolling is more of an honor system where we trust what each other says they rolled?

That's what I'm going with. I want it to be more story telling (hence Chapters).

And now there's 2 great characters:D

A little late, but I might be interested in this. I'm not familiar with edition we're using, though.

Where are people posting their characters?

I'm kind of interested, too, if you guys don't mind more company. Were you actually wanting to play a session of Dungeons & Dragons or do Forgotten Realms-style narrative?

Are prestige classes available in some capacity? I'd love to write something like a shadowdancer/rogue, but I can stick to the basics as well.

Was using a sheet generator and kind of laughed when it spat out a 5 hit point rogue. Here's hoping there's no strong wind where they're going.

I might bump it to like, 7 or 8? And take a couple skill points out to even it up. I'm not sure. But it's pretty funny.

5 hp is right. The rogue uses a d6 (at level 1, you get the full 6) and the CON modifier is -1, for a grand total of 5. Which should be fine for a rogue, you shouldn't be taking the hits anyways and 0 doesn't mean dead - I was hoping my fighter would be the one getting swatted at anyways. Although, I'm beginning to wonder if I want a fighter, or possibly a Cleric, Paladin, or Knight. It's not too early to change, I presume? The Cleric would probably be a Cleric of Zarus, just to throw some human supremacy in. A Knight might be a bit amusing from an RP perspective... Opinions?

Be our meatshield. Also, thanks for the heads up! Clerics of Zarus are the evil-ish ones, right?
