I just thought about something... Is there still a new spirit portal in the middle of Republic City? I feel like that would have a large impact on all of our characters.​

I don't really think you can get rid of a spirit portal... I think it's safe to say that by now the humans and spirits have come to some sort of mutual understanding with one another, no more vine attacks and such. I'd wager the homes and buildings near the portal would be tourist attractions and the surrounding area a bit of a poor neighborhood due to all the vines and spirits about. The area can be the Portal District.

We could also have the portal have been sealed by the previous Avatar, maybe people kept going inside and getting lost or angering the spirits or whatever. Spirit Portals are able to be reopened by the Avatar during a solstice, since the last Pro-bending match of the season takes place in the winter, we could conceivable have the new Avatar be discovered by reopening the portal.​

Looks good, though there's one inconsistency with lore as far as her discovering and learning bending. For the spirit portal in the center of the city, at least for the purposes of the rp, we're going under the assumption that Korra closed the portal a short time after going in with Asami to prevent people from using it as a tourist attraction later on and perverting its reason for being there. So you would have to change that bit at least to match up.

The portal is going to come into play later, since the avatar can open spirit portals during the solstice and we're starting the roleplay around the beginning of winter, as a possible way of discovering the avatar.

The portal in the southern watertribe would still be open, though protected, so if you want her to have a connection with spirits I'm assuming spirits would wander the earth and possibly settle in places like Republic City and other places but if you would want her to actively live in the spirit world she would need to enter through the South Pole rather than Republic City.

Since @EmilyHuene agreed to the edits, and all characters are submitted, I don't see a reason to hold up starting any longer. I'll get the introduction rolling shortly, if there's any issues with people being able to reply this thread can be used as the OOC for all threads relating to the rp.

Order doesn't really matter, you can reply freely and posting order can just be decided as people post for the thread. Like for example I'm first, whoever replies next is second and so on.
