Of course he knew about Rhinnalian wool - because he had Rhinnalian wool rugs in bathrooms at home. He didn’t get the chance to say this before the prettyboy scampered off. Ezra wasn’t sure how much he liked all of these randoms popping out of nowhere, especially because it felt as if he were being ambushed by Jedi.

As if on cue, another one (@Altaris) barged out of nowhere, wet and with rippling muscles. Between being an Orcolan and a Mirialan, the guy was so damn green that Ezra almost missed him entirely against the backdrop of forestry. Now that was some camouflage. He caught Prettyboy gawking openly at this new arrival and his eyes narrowed. Of course, yet another person that drooled over those muscly burly types that looked like his father.

Ezra focused back on inspecting the dead lizard, having overheard some conversation thanks to his sensitive ears. He sighed as the Green Dude said there was no bowcaster. If he could just nab it and run, he would be in the clear. Then again, with no service, he wasn’t exactly sure how to go back the way he came. Damn, he should have paid attention all those times he went on hikes with Pops in an effort to spend time with the icy man while pretending to like hiking.

He watched with his arms crossed as ‘Dash’ inspected the dead lizard and briefly looked like he was straining to do long division. What the hell kinda human name was Dash anyway? Were his pets named names like Bernard and Robert? When Dash finally spoke, Ezra scoffed, “Should be fresh enough for your dinner, then,” Jedi probably ate roadkill since they couldn’t afford real meals. His gaze flicked over to Leon who mentioned a noise.

“Yeah, they’re called flies,” He said dryly as if it was the most obvious answer in the world. Of course, he had no idea that Kashyyyk had dangerous creatures for every spectrum - a simple fly could likely kill them.

Ezra decided to follow along behind the woman, keeping a respectable distance behind her since she still smelled like diarrhea. Slightly up ahead, the more trained Knights would suddenly get the sense that something was very off. That tingling sensation moments before disaster struck.

The padawans and Ezra would be delightfully oblivious.

Regardless of how much she looked around, that feeling of being watched or stalked just didn't go away. Every snap of a twig or rustle of leaves left her wondering what was going to leap out at them, and she wondered if Andros was feeling it as well (@Altaris).

What was quite clear, however, was that the Padawans and the aspiring Hutt weren't aware of much of anything.

out of the near-silence of the jungles, small stones launched from slings and a slew of arrows and spears began to hurtle toward the group. Zathria's lightsaber burst to life and whirled around as she narrowly avoided a spear that had been intended to impale her to the ground.

It was only then that she caught her first glance of the beings who were evidently hunting them and the Wookiee dragon rider.

She brought her saber down, cleaving through a battle axe being brought against her and let the weapon head drop to the ground before raising her leg and launching a nearly rib-shattering kick to the warriors chest.

She fell back to the rest of the group, doing her best to intercept any more warriors before they made it to the others. Time to see if the Padawans had learned any martial skills at the temple, it seemed.

"Uh yeah they're called flies,“ chimed in Jabba (@Sreeya).

Leon shook his head disbelieving, "Then these flies are on stimulants because they are loud as— OW!” his hand shot up to his face as a sudden sting erupted from his cheek. He pulled his hand back and frowned immediately forgetting the flies as he watched a drop of blood slide down his fingers.

What the—” he was cut off again as Zathria’s (@Phoenix) lightsaber ignited. That’s when he realized they were under attack. He was frozen in place as panic struggled to control him. A warrior broke from the fog line brandishing a wicked primitive sword. Instinctively, Leon snatched his blast… knife… he snatched the knife from his belt hands trembling. Guess we're not training anymore... he thought as his eyes met The Warrior’s. The being was big, at least a head taller than Leon. The Warrior fit the stereotype for his title, broad shoulders knotted muscles the whole kit and caboodle. Leon tried to swallow but his mouth was suddenly bone dry.

Okay hello there, uh The Force, I could use a little help here..." he said grasping for straws really. He took a steadying breath and repeated the mantra Fearless taught him, "It's just a duel, it's just a duel, it's just a duel."

Leon opened his free hand and beckoned the force into his palm.

The Sayormi flourished his blade. Leon gripped the bone handle of his knife. A spear slammed into the ground between them.

The Padawan and The Sayormi Warrior moved in unison the deep thunk of the landing spear acting as their call to action. Leon’s heart hammered in his ears as the adrenaline dump of impending violence seeped into his bloodstream. Time seemed to slow as they hurdled toward one another. The Warrior sounded like he was bellowing underwater as he charged, glinting jagged sword lifted over head and face nearly frozen in a horrific snarl, all playing out in slow motion.

Then they collided.

The Sayormi warrior slashed with his macuahuitl, Leon slipped just under the glass teeth and slammed his knife to the hilt into The Sayormi's rag-covered caramel chest. The Warrior spluttered a surprised gasp. He coughed and then sagged onto Leon. The Padawan heaved his enemy to the ground. His hands were shaking and slick with gore. His breath came in ragged gasps as he stared down at the lifeless body. He couldn't move. He'd just killed that guy. That guy was trying to kill him— The beam of Zathria’s lightsaber snapped him out of his daze.

Leon kept low and moved cautiously regrouping with Zathria and the rest. His knife was back at the ready, even though his hand was still bloodstained and shaking. His free hand still held fast to the gathered force, its warmth helped steady him as more warriors continued to emerge from the fog.

The only thing that tipped Ezra off slightly was the sound of footsteps. His sensitive ears started to pick up that noise amidst the buzzing, but it didn’t help. He wasn’t a Jedi - he hadn’t even accepted that he had the Force. He quickly moved towards cover when the action started, but one of the warriors used a slingshot to fire a stone. It collided directly with Ezra’s head.

His vision went blurry, the stone hitting him just right. He plopped backwards with a thud, knocked out cold right there in the middle of chaos.

Dash’s guesstimate didn’t seem to help the group much. It still left open some major questions. Silvereyes didn’t think much to it, but then nothing seemed to make him happy.

The young Jedi drifted back next to Leon, the other Padawan seemed a decent guy and had a ready look about him that was reassuring amidst the shadows and the sense of danger. If danger was indeed what Dash was feeling - he felt uncomfortable - but couldn’t work out why. "Flies?” He ran a hand through his hair anxiously. Surely not just flies.

Then suddenly it all kicked off. The stones, the spears, the sudden movements in the trees. Figures, angry-looking figures, charging out the shadows. They were actually being attacked!

It all seemed to happen in slow motion for Dash. A gnarly looking man came running at him, a sharp weapon waving wildly and murder on his face. Time seemed to stop and Dash found himself springing to jump, leaping up and over the man and igniting his saber, landing behind and swinging his blade in a flourish that cut the man down.

The Padawan danced backwards from the kill, gulping at what he’d done. He hadn’t quite got used to taking lives yet, he hoped he never would. But he’d done it here, now, almost without thinking.

Another lightsaber flashed in the mid distance and Leon too was sparring with another attacker. Dash hesitated sidestepping away from the frenzy. His heel caught on something and he nearly fell, turning to find Silvereyes on the ground (@Sreeya ).

Jabba, what the hell are you-

Then he saw that the guy was out cold. Was that a trickle of blood on his temple? Dash gritted his teeth, looking from Silvereyes to the safety of the tree line and back again. He could just leave him here and get moving.

But he couldn’t. “For frack’s sake” he moaned, half to himself over the sounds of battle. He extinguished his saber and crouched low, reaching for one of the tool’s trando-booted feet. But then he thought better of dragging the head across the floor. It wasn’t doing so well already.

Dash stepped around, reached under Silvereyes arms and started pulling him towards the tree line. It was slow going, he was surprisingly heavy as a dead weight and Dash was smaller and slighter. Still, gradually he dragged him away.

Thank you Dash, so kind of you, I really am grateful” he chuntered to himself, mimicking Silvereyes’ super posh drawl. If they got through this, the guy better wake up with a new personality.

Andros.. Really couldn’t shake the bad feeling in the back of his mind, echoing through the Force. It was the sensation of being watched from the Shadows - and the premonition that the eyes upon them weren’t friendly ones. Though it didn’t reflect on his largely relaxed and carefree demeanor, Zathria would likely notice the way his fingers twitched and began to flex towards the hilt of his lightsaber.

The half-Orcolan had only a split second to react, dodging to the left as a volley of stones and spears hurtled past the treeline. His viridian lightsaber burst to life, swinging into a high guard to defend himself. “Fuck sake!” He growled, bronze eyes snapping between the tribesmen who emerged.

He swung his blade downward to cut through a thrown spear, splitting the weapon into two distinct halves. It was only then that Andros caught sight of Ezra slumping into the mud, followed by Dash moving to defend him. Without thinking, the Knight stepped towards the Padawan - putting himself in front of the pair. “Keep him safe - I have you covered!” Andros barked back at Dash. He didn't know Ezra, but wasn't about to let him - or the Padawan who drug him to safety - be attacked

Andros swung his blade to defend himself those he attempted to defend - causing two of the men to stagger backwards, narrowly dodging the blade of green plasma. But even that wasn’t enough to keep the ambushers completely at bay. Before he elicit a proper defense, Andros felt as the tip of a spear found purchase in his shoulder - driven with all the upper body strength of his attacker. The Knight cried out in agony, feeling as the primitive, stone weapon cut through muscle and flesh, piercing deep into the space between his shoulder and collarbone. He felt the pain that shot through his entire body like lightning, followed by the distinct lack of sensation in his left arm.

The half-Orcolan lifted his other hand - unleashing a concussive pulse to send his attacker flying backwards, allowing Andros to stagger backwards unsteadily, dizziness suddenly setting in. The spear was still lodged in his shoulder, blood gushing from the injury.

Zathria's mind was now fully melted into the Force. Her body continued to move and fight, but it was now the Force that controlled it. It was her, but she was nothing. She was just a piece of the whole.

She could feel the shock of Leon as if it were her own. The way he seemed almost stunned by the life he had just taken. She could feel the pain of the impact to Ezra's head before the lights flashed out. She could feel the fear and frustration from Dash as he dragged Jabba across the ground. And she could feel the numbness climbing up Andros's arm as he was punctured by a spear. She felt all of these things because these were all pieces of the Force. Pieces of the whole.

It roused instincts of protection, the need to keep them all from harm and so she leapt toward the edge of the group and her saber slashed. Rather than bringing down a warrior attacker, though, it cleaved through a nearby tree as the Force slammed out from her hand to direct the tree's fall.

Now on any other world, this tree would have been considered large, but on Kashyyyk it was practically a sapling compared to the kilometer-tall behemoths that covered the planet. This massive sapling cracked and crunched as it began to topple, falling in a direction to cut off the warriors from further attacks on the group.

Go! Run! she said, hoping that someone would manage to wake up Jabba and they could all get on the move. If not... well, things might get more dire. Hopefully someone hadn't skipped their workout days and could just fireman carry him out.

This is bad, thought Leon as he swatted an arrow to the ground. He spotted Dash (@Alhon) attempting to drag Jabba(@Sreeya) as the warriors rushed in to take their kill. Andy (@Altaris) came out of nowhere brandishing his weapon and keeping the enemy at bay. Hope blossomed and withered in an instant as a spear impaled the Jedi knight’s shoulder. Leon’s eyes widened with shock, but this time he didn’t freeze. His legs were moving. He was running for the others. His fear began to melt away as the warmth he carried with him spread across his entire body.

Andy wailed in agony as Leon reached Dash’s side. The Sayormi rushed in but Andros wasn’t done yet. The knight unleashed a force attack that sent the incoming attackers flying backward. At the same time, Zathria (@Phoenix) cut through a tree and dropped it in front of the charging attackers.

Go! Run!” Zathria’s cried.

Leon knelt down beside Dash, “I can carry numb nuts,” he said with more confidence than he felt, “Can you help Andy?” he asked already straddling Jabba, preparing to hoist the unconscious goon up and onto his shoulder. They had to hurry the tree would give the primitives pause, but it wouldn’t stop them for long.

With a grunt, Leon lifted Ezra up and onto his shoulder. “By the force, what in the hell are you made of?” he groaned. Once he was sure the other two were good and mobile he’d trot off as quickly as he could toward Zathria and hopefully safety.

Ezra was having a great time. He was totally out of it and dreaming about a cold, snowy day outside while he was sipping some hot cocoa. He loved those days when he was a kid and dad would read him and his twin sister stories while they were all snuggled up with a cozy blanket. A blanket that felt like the cuddly wool he was nuzzling his face against right now. The very wool he was insulting earlier that was a part of the jacket Dash (@Alhon ) wore. The quarter Sephi was having a great time, thinking back to Life Day memories and burying his face into the pleasant smelling wool that delightfully didn’t reek of mud and shit. A nice tender moment that someone as infuriating as Dash would never let him live down for the rest of his life probably.

That was when the echoes of voices and noises began to resound all around him. Ezra grimaced a bit, willing for it to stop, but it only grew louder. The mental haze began to slowly lift as he suddenly felt a painful throb through his head. His entire body was being dragged and he heard someone complaining. Ezra squinted his eyes, groggily coming back to consciousness, staring at the ground. He realized he was being carried by someone. As someone raised to expect being kidnapped for his wealth, Ezra’s instincts kicked in.

Without warning, he flipped and moved like a rabid monkey lizard, springing out of Leon’s (@Zay ) grasp and landing on the ground. One of his legs jutted out to sweep through the man’s legs to drop him on his back. Ezra may have looked useless, but Pops taught him mandatory self defense and martial arts because he ‘would leave a distress call on read’ if Ezra ever got in trouble. Love you too, Pops.

The downside to Ezra’s triumphant escape was that it only slowed him and Leon down. He staggered to his feet, realization slowly dawning that the latter probably didn’t intend to kidnap him as his memories began to return.

The two were also on the wrong side of the fallen tree that now separated them and the rest of the Jedi. They were left on the side with the warriors. Oops.

Silvereyes didn't drag well. Dash did his best, pulling his unlikely companion along in fits and starts, but his booted feet kept getting caught on shrubbery and slowing them down.

The Padawan was breathing hard, blood pounding in his ears as he tried to get them out of the fight while also trying to keep one eye out for enemies. He half-wished he was the unconscious one, Silveryeyes seemed oblivious to what was going on and at one stage started nuzzling Dash's woollen sleeve contentedly. He didn't know what to make of that.

Sudden cries sounded and two of the grizzled attackers came sprinting towards them, a thrown spear lancing towards Dash. He froze, still holding his charge. He was going to die.

Green light flashed across his vision as the spear was severed in two midair. Then another Jedi was there, leaping between them and the enemy, protecting them from harm. It was Andros, and he'd never looked more magnificent.

"I will!" was all Dash managed to say, nodding fiercely and forcing himself to start dragging again. The promise was yet another reason to try and keep Silvereyes safe.

He'd only gone a few feet when he heard Andros cry out in agony and it struck Dash to the core. The green Jedi had been stabbed with a spear in the shoulder. Dash had to help, someone had to, but what about Silverey- Frack, what the hell were they gonna do?

He flinched as cracking and splintering echoed across the clearing. The lady Knight had brought a tree down to protect them and Dash was still gawping at it when Leon reached his side. He took a few seconds to take in the other Padawan's plan. "Ok, yes" Dash said, letting Leon take over.

He leapt up, bounding over to Andros, his pulse racing. The Knight was still upright, but that tusk-filled smile was now a grimace of pain. "Are you ok?" Dash asked hurriedly, knowing it was a silly question. He touched the spear shaft gingerly, trying to stop it flailing around while it was still lodged in Andros' shoulder. There was quite a lot of blood. "What do you need?" (@Altaris )

Even as Zathria brought down the colossal tree, Andros’ breath came in shallow gasps - wincing through the raw pain that radiates throughout his upper body. He knew the extent of the injury, and knew that his left arm was effectively worthless at this point. Closing his eyes, Andros reached for the spear - pulling it free from his shoulder with a gush. Blood and agony erupted from the wound, followed by yet another stifled groan of pain from the half-Orcolan.

“Nothin’ to sweat over,” Andros muttered through his breaths, playing down his injury to the best of his ability. He clipped his saber back to his belt, one hand rising to press a palm and handful of his own tunic into the freely bleeding wound.

Then came a survey of his surroundings. The tree had fallen to cover this exit, but Andros knew very quickly that only half of them had landed on the correct side. He pondered his options, his expression knitted together seriously. “You heard Zathria,” He forced himself to full stand, eyes fixed ahead. “Go! Cover her, and I’ll help the other two.” His first priority was making sure the Padawan got to safety.

Without another word, Andros turned back towards fallen tree - jumping forward in an attempt to scale the fallen tree. He hoped he would be able to reach Leon and Janna in time - or at the very least, see what had become of the pair.

--Link is a very minor spoiler for Andor--

Zathria was doing her best to heard the cats, but it wasn't working out. At least two of them had gone to the wrong side of the tree, the other Knight was injured, and the warriors were continuing to come.

Zathria darted back to the log, leaping atop it only to find another hail of stones and spears, forcing her to drop back on the other side and the cover of the fallen log.

Stang! she hissed, trying to track along the log to get around it in a place that wouldn't have her immediately impaled or killed.

Meanwhile, Ezra and Leon (@Sreeya @Zay) would be descended on by more warriors out of the woods. Two of them emerged with some sort of launchers and fired. Strange, snot-like nets burst out to cover over both of them and ensnare them so the warriors could descend and carry them off to some definitely not at all problematic location deeper in the jungle.

Leon’s legs pumped vigorously as he hurried to safety. He'd over-compensated when lifting Jabba (@Sreeya) earlier and could feel the dude's head bouncing off his ass as he ran. Leon was attempting to pull Ezra higher up his back when the asshole came alive fighting!

STOP—OW—WHY!

The Padawan felt his feet sweep out from underneath him as his gaze shifted from Jabba’s face to the massive skeletal branches far above. The wind was forcibly driven out of his lungs dazing him for a second. Finally, he managed to recover enough to stand. Any force-given serenity he'd found was completely forgotten.

I'm trying to karking save you, dude!” he spat at Jabba. Their argument would be cut short as their chance at escape slipped out of grasp with the arrival of their previous attackers. Instinctively, Leon whirled to face them, putting his body in front of the rich kid's, “Hope you still have some of that fight lef—

Stars burst across Leon vision. The snarling warrior standing in front of him lifted strange contraptions that spit a nasty-looking goo… web? The moist tendrils wrapped encapsulated his body. The Padawan was vaguely aware of a sense of weightlessness followed by a head-jarring collision. He tried to move but his body wouldn’t comply. His vision was obscured by the web, but he could make out boots shuffling across the ground and a stone gently rocking back and forth just a few feet from him. The side he could see was covered in his blood. Then everything went black.

Ezra groaned as he was unceremoniously dragged away, along with the Jedi Padawan. His vision was a blur, but he could hear distant voices in other languages. He groaned as he and the Jedi were propped up against the base of a tree in what appeared to be a camp of sorts. Their wrists were bound and he was tied to the Padawan next to him with a rope threading their wrists. A quick glance suggested that the dude was out cold. Great.

“Excuse me!” Ezra called out to his captors, “I suggest you let us go right now,” He said loudly, “I’m the son of Emryc Thorne, the ISC President. My father will have a fleet-”

One of them slammed him in the face with the butt end of a staff. Ezra gasped in pain, tasting a burst of copper in his mouth from a bloody lip. His eyes widened in surprise as he glanced up at the Sayormi. The man appeared unconcerned, thankful that the prisoner finally shut up.

Unbeknownst to the two boys, the tribe was not entirely aware of the Imperial wars with Kashyyyk. They had simply witnessed the Great Fires from the destruction left behind by the Sith. To them, it was the wrath of their deities. The witches had called for sacrifices and lately the Wookiee or animals hadn’t brought them good luck and plants refused to grow again where there had been destruction. However, a prophecy foretold the ashes of those beyond the skies bringing forth endless prosperity and bounty.

Unfortunately for Ezra and Leon, the two met the criteria for being people from ‘beyond the skies’. As a result, they were prime candidates for sacrifice.

The Sayormi built a fire and began to chant and dance around it. Ezra watched all this from a distance, disgusted and confused all at once. He glanced over and tried to prod Leon a few times, “Wake up, wake up!” He hissed.

He could see two large cages made of bone positioned to be lowered into the fire and he wondered what those were for. But for now, the warriors appeared to be content to party. The sun had disappeared and there was darkness all around. The forests had come to life and Ezra couldn’t be more mortified.

Dash was a little take aback when Andros didn't want his help. He didn't need his medical cadet training to know the green-skinned Jedi was in big trouble with an injury like that. But the Knight didn't seem to think so, waving him away and pulling the spear out himself in a gush of blood. The Padawan opened his mouth but was lost for words as Andros went staggering on, trying to leap up over the tree and go after Leon and Silvereyes.

He was not going to make it. Dash nearly said so - for a moment - but that was crazy. They were fighting for their lives, Andros and Zathria were trained Jedi, and he was just a Padawan. What the hell was he doing even thinking like that.

He hurried across to Zathria, his saber hilt in his hand as he tried to calm down and do as he'd been told. The white-haired woman looked like more of a warrior than he could ever be, but maybe he could be some small help to her.

"There's only Leon knows how to fight" he said, reaching Zathria's side (@Phoenix ) "He hasn't got a chance on his own - how are we going to get around in time? Do we have a plan?!"

Some of his pent up frustration seeped into his voice. He had been knocked around a lot today - from the moment Silvereyes ran into him and turned a hike back to the port into a living nightmare.

By the time Zathria had fought her way through the warriors and crested the tree, Ezra and Leon had already been dragged off to... wherever they were being dragged off toward.

She nearly took off into the jungle after them then and there but there was still an injured knight and a padawan here. She had every intention of helping the two captured kids, but she also knew that throwing herself to her death in a meatgrinder wasn't going to see that through.

That was when Dash appeared next to her. His anxiety and fear was palpable in the Force... not that she could really blame him.

Be calm, she said, trying to put on a more soothing voice than she felt. Just like on the battlefield clinics. Do what you can. One minute at a time. The Force wills it, she told herself.

We'll regroup and go after them, she assured him. I'm sure Leon will keep them alive, she said. Yeah, definitely. 100%.

Andros! she shouted, having seen the Orcolan Knight yeet himself off after the pair as well. How did they end up so... split up.

Find Andros then find the others, she said to Dash before immediately striking that horrible idea from her brain.

Wait, wait, wait, wait no. We stay together. We'll find them together, she said. Yeah, that was better.

Thin tendrils of smoke leak from a freshly burned-down house. A little boy with wavy brown hair stares, eyes filled with tears, but face expressionless at what used to be his home. A pair of legs protrude out of the front door.

Momma?

The kid starts walking toward the body, then running, falling, sobbing, and screaming. Days pass and the boy can’t leave… he can’t leave… because if he leaves that means it’s real. Suddenly the boy is picked up. Strong arms crushed his little body in a loving embrace.

Leon’s eyes snapped open and he started as Jabba (@Sreeya) prodded him. “I’m awake,” he replied groggily.

The Padawan’s head throbbed with each beat of his heart as his brain started to piece together what had happened. He immediately wished he could forget what he’d just realized and pretend this was all a bad dream. Leon took a deep breath doing his best to calm his terror-soaked nerves. He took in the camp and blew out a disheartened breath...

The scrape of a clay pot startled him and he looked up just in time for a jar to smash into his face. The Sayormi Warrior responsible winced and then howled with laughter. Blood spurted from Leon’s nose as he swore profusely. The jar crashed to the ground shattering and spaying jagged pieces all over between himself and Ezra. Leon barely clung to consciousness as his eyes struggled to maintain focus on the undulating bodies dancing around the enormous fire.

The language of Shyriiwook, distinct from the Sayormi's tongue, rang out towards the captive Leon and Ezra (@Sreeya @Zay) [Virrrrrgins!] jeered a young female Wookiee, whose presence solved the mystery of the missing Katarn rider. Like the Jedi, she was securely bound- a captive of the Sayormi- but unlike the Jedi, she appeared to be taking her capture less seriously than them... perhaps because she wasn't in line to be sacrificed at the moment.

[Crying for daddy and mommy already? Guess they let anyone on Kashyyyk these days] she said, baring her teeth in what passed for a Wookiee smile. [I tell ya, it's a good thing you got caught by these guys because something was gonna get you eventually. What the Force are you doing out here anyways?]

The pursuing Jedi would find it easy enough to find the camp- there was, after all, a party ongoing- but actually getting there would be a very different challenge. Hidden traps and pitfalls, along with occasional Sayormi scouting posts, littered the forest for at least a mile out from the camp, while the scent of blood might attract any number of Kashyyk's wildlife...

@Altaris @Phoenix @Alhon --> Roll a d20 for forest navigation, please. @Andros Sahin makes the roll with a -1 penalty due to injury

Ezra watched with a blank face as the Padawan made himself useful by calling for mommy and then promptly getting smashed in the face with a clay jar. He simply sighed and gazed back ahead, pondering a way out of this mess. That was when he noticed the jagged clay shards. He quickly grabbed one and began to cut away at the binds around his ankles. Every now and then he grimaced at Leon, “Bruh this is Nabooian cotton, quit bleeding on it,” He whispered moodily before getting to work on Leon’s feet binds. Ezra was proud, but he wasn’t stupid enough to pretend he could survive on his own out here.

He had just gotten the ropes off when a Wookiee prisoner began to speak. Ezra stared at the.. Woman? Man? He couldn’t tell with these things. He stared in silence, appearing as if he was very astutely understanding everything she said, but really it was more of this. Ezra promptly ignored her and focused on cutting their legs free. That was when he heard footsteps with two guards walking over. The rest of the Sayormi were completely distracted by the fire and almost sensual dances and loud chanting.

“Damn it,” Ezra growled as he gave up on cutting any further, tossing one of the shards towards the Wookiee in case she wanted to free herself. He pocketed another shard for a weapon as he slowly rose to stand, “Come on,” He whispered to Leon, dragging him along with a rope still threading their wrists together. They each had an arm and their legs free, but one arm was connected to the other person.

Ezra began to scramble when the two guards abruptly stepped into their path. Surprise was clear on their face and Ezra used that to kick one of them in the nuts. When he hunched over from that, he slammed an uppercut into the Sayormi's face to knock him down. The other guard prepared to attack, but Ezra abruptly lifted his arm that was tied to Leon’s and tried to hit him. Unfortunately this resulted in a weak bitchslap to the face from Leon. Fortunately, the move was so strange that it gave the guard pause. Ezra improvised in desperation and grabbed his bug spray and fired a jet of it right into the guard's eyes. The man shrieked and clutched at his face, his cries drowned out by all the chanting and drums.

Marveling at his own luck, he stole a dagger off one of the guards and began to run into the forest, dragging Leon along with him. He felt like king of the world - this was probably what his father felt like all the time. Smug, in control, totally on top and just plain- Ezra unceremoniously tripped over a low root that sent both him and Leon tumbling down into a puddle of mud. Knowing Teras Kasi didn’t mean he suddenly knew how to navigate the Shadowlands. They had a brief period of time before the dancing Sayormi noticed their prisoners were missing, but they had to get moving quickly.

Unfortunately for the boys, they were going the opposite direction from where the rest of the Jedi party was coming. This meant the Jedi would likely intercept the camp of angry Sayormi with Ezra and Leon still missing.

Andros couldn’t help but whimper, feeling as molten agony shot through his shoulder and upper body. Despite his best attempts, the half-Orcolan didn’t even begin to make it over the fallen tree, unable to assist Ezra or Leon as they were taken by the tribesmen. He cursed under his breath, jaw setting into a firm line. His free hand pressed against the injury in his shoulder, blood soaking and saturating the bundle of cloth.

He exhaled harshly through his nostrils, taking a moment to reorient to his surroundings. He could hear Zathria calling after him, and it didn’t take long for Andros to spot her amongst the forest scenery - bronze eyes flicking between both her and Dash. “I’m here,” He called back, pushing off from the ground to close the distance between them.

“Are you both alright?” Andros glanced between the two of them - eyes lingering on Dash for a moment or two longer. He was glad to see the Padawan had come the most unscathed out of all of them, and proceeded to give him a nod. “Thanks back there,”

His attention flicked back towards the fallen tree - and the path where Ezra and Leon had been pulled off, deeper into the Shadowlands. “We’ll need to follow them quickly,” He stated the obvious, expression twisting up uncomfortably. “Who knows how long they plan to keep them both alive.”

Despite his injury, Andros did his best to ignore it - instead glancing around their surroundings. Significant time in the outdoors had refined the half-Orcolan’s perception, and it meant that he rather easily picked out the trail left by the tribesmen. He pointed towards a cluster of trees with branches broken, grooves in the earth indicating where heavy bodies were drug across the ground. “There.”
