^ This, AND it gives you time to make IC (in character) connections as well as OOC (out of character) ones. It's amazing, after you've been here for a while, you'll be able to go, "Hmm, I need to find a guy to fly me to blah blah...oh wait, I know so and so and he'll probably do it!" :P

Oh, and welcome to the site. :D

I won't say "Don't do it", but just keep in mind that when you write. Ultimately it'll all depend on how you present your character and if it all makes sense in your writing... y'know? 0.o

(i'm not making an ounce of sense, am i?)

I kinda get you, and then I kinda don't, I'm having a really hard time finding a picture of someone holding a blaster and lightsaber simultaneously so I'm gonna go ahead and give him a short sword, dagger, and blaster for now. The saber was never as important as the prospect of having my character able to grow into the character I see he could be (unless he dies of course.) :b

Not quite sure what you're referring to, apologies. I'd like to ask though, are there many bounty hunter/scoundrel turned force-adept? Ideally I'd like to be an aid to the rebellion in the way Han was originally portrayed before he came back to help Luke destroy the Death Star, there's room for character development and dynamic changes with the flux of his adventures and whatnot. I'm guessing being validated on his 'intuition' and being told some things he felt were't because of 'luck' will have a profound effect on him provided he comes under the right tutelage, I just can't see him abiding by a code of conduct like the Jedi code.

There are a few of those types of character, Sess. But usually they're bounty hunters with untrained force sensitivity - which they explore later in the RP. Sometimes they're fresh force sensitives who are beginning their training, who turn from that path, eventually becoming bounty hunter scoundrels. Essentially what Nakoma and I are trying to say is that its very much so an unlikely thing to be both at the time of your character's creation.

There are, of course, characters that don't operate within the Jedi code, and who have force sensitivity - but you've gotta find them, and tap their knowledge in the RP ;)

OH, yeah of course, I wasn't trying to be both at the same time.. that's like a little too powergame-y isn't it? Should I take it to mean if I were more experience and well known with a few mid-ranking characters here I could do that? I guess what you're saying is it might be allowed if I were to prove myself a competent and fair roleplayer, right?

lmfao I didn't mean to come off that way, I really laughed so hard.. No, that's how it is where I came from, I thought that was just the way things were in RP circles. :) No one likes people coming in trying to be the new Darth Vader, or Boba Fett, hehehe. Hoity-toity... *muffled snickering*

These things in mind.. which faction should I choose? Is being independent a viable option?

Independant is a fine option. Its sometimes just difficult to find other characters to get involved with. If you're plnning to walk the bounty hunter line, you can go along the line of joining the Civilian Resistance in the Rebels, or joining the Hutt Cartel. Your call, ultimately.

Ah, ok. Thanks, your input is very appreciated by the way! Can I change factions later?

Yes you can, but it is expected that the change is role played out and makes some sense (although it's not a rule).

Thanks a lot! That's a relief.

I've been writing my whole character sheet for a good hour now. I came to a grinding halt at the bio section. I haven't slept in about 13-14 hours and I have work for the first time iin days in about 7 hours. I cant risk missing work by over sleeping though.. by the time I get out of work it'll be about 25 hours, I hope I don't die. :,) I'll try and finish my bio and hop in a thread or two before I leave though.

Lmao thanks!! I gotta get back to work but do me a favor if you will and check out my character sheet, I've already been warned about not posting works in progress so I'll fix that as soon as I'm out of work, promise!

based on my quick scan, I didn't see any major glares

Simply edit the "WIP" out of the title and minor edits, and I'd say you'll be good to go!

How may I edit the WIP out of my title?
