I was going to make a little figure of Ebberla Daw with a hand that automatically detached in a brilliant spray of sparkles and confetti when in close proximity to sharp objects, but 9 out of 10 testers were struck in the eye by the hand. It was just too doggone dangerous, so we benched the entire Daw project.

If spots ever open up, I'd be down for this.

Foreign Relations would depend entirely on whether you intend to be involved in the Sith in any significant capacity moving forward. Do you plan to do that?

Just to query - Is anyone else having as much trouble pulling together a post for the first congress session as I am? For some reason I'm only drawing up like... 4 sentences of a post at best... And they're crappy at that.

ugh, i hate politics.

Well... you don't really need a big post. I mean it's kinda just introducing your character and then giving an opinion on whatever it is we're discussing. If your character doesn't have an opinion or doesn't care that much then you can just wait until he does. Nothing wrong with that.

You don't even have to post yet if you don't want to. If you don't have something to say yet, don't force it. Let it flow naturally, since I'm sure there will be a natural entry point for everyone.

So, I don't really remember what Bac said nor where, but I'm pretty sure 'gentlemen' isn't a proper plural pronoun that should be used in Congress. I believe 'gentlebeings' was fine, but I remember it being 'honorable representative', 'senator', and something else.
I mean, 'gentleman' is only referring to (human) males, which leaves out a lot of people.

I just wanted to get that cleared up for my next post because it'll effect it.

I've been trying to say Honorable Representatives or Representatives to avoid the Gentleman thing, yeah. Gentlebeings just sounds weird.

Please note that I'll be replying after Maverick fills in his saved post.

Let's not reserve posts like that anymore. Reply when you can, but don't hold up a thread.

I think everyone will get a better hang of it as we move along. If this was a real political meeting, none of you would've been talking yet. There's a parliamentary procedure involved in these types of meetings that I hope to work into our Congress meetings as we move forward and people get used to it. You'll get a hint of that in my next post.

I believe you mentioned that there are always open slots for this, so (as I`ve freed up space for characters) I would like to join with a new character.

Planet Choice:
Leritor (I have only selected this planet, as I noticed that nobody else is using it, if it`s a problem I can look around and put in other choices as well)

Committee:
1) Science and Technology
2) Foreign Relations
3) Commerce

I'll look into your post in a bit, Radi.

Now that I've posted, let me follow up. Fyston is going to post his specific motion next, then I'm going to post again to officially open up debate on the proposal. When I do, I will also include a posting order. Every Representative will get ONE post to respond to the proposal, meaning you won't be going back and forth with each other. Once everyone who wants to post has posted, in the order I set out, we'll vote on the proposal.
