This wasn't Duke's normal type of job but they had no else to do this and regrettably he was stationed for it, along with another unlucky Ranger that he hadn't met yet. Prisoner transports were usually one of the most boring things a Ranger can do. It could be a multi-hour drive where you just sit there and watch what passes by your window and that pretty much be it as the convicts in the back insult the guards in ways people didn't think possible. But it was work and Duke could have used all the money he could get at the moment, his shabby place on Nar Shaddaa now finally starting to show some wear and tear and in need of repairs.
He pulled up to the station with an escort from another officer, giving the man a nod of thanks before stepping out into the pouring rain. Duke had a trench coat on over his clothes and tightened it around his body, trying to prevent the rain from soaking him to the bone as he crossed the short distance and entered into the garage of the station. There was a huge and a sort of armored truck, a line of people dressed in orange with chains around their extremities slowly waddling into the back of it. Duke approached a nearby officer with a clipboard, "This all of them?" The guard looked up from his clipboard at the man, instantly recognizing him as a Ranger and nodding, "Yup, all fifteen of them. You guys should have a fun time."
Duke reached over to the clipboard and took it, flipping through pages until he found their destination. "We're taking them to Elm Street?" There was some shock in his voice. Not only was it far, but they would have to press through a few seedy and crime littered districts to reach it. The officer just nodded as he kept his eyes on the prisoners, "Some sort of block up through the main route. The higher-ups want these guys transported quick so it was the best that could be done." Duke just handed him back the clipboard with a sigh following it, "That's just great."
It was the officer's turn to ask a question as he peered at Duke, "When's your partner showing up?" The Ranger checked his chrono before the entrance of the garage, "Should only be a few minutes."
