Jon Halleck was a human male gunslinger and former CorSec officer who worked as a Sector Ranger in the Force Eternal era. Born and raised on the streets of Corellia, Halleck was as charming with his words as he was deadly with his twin blasters. A proponent of what he called lazy justice, he would let minor and what he considered insignificant incidents slide, but could be relied upon to get the job done when shit really his the fan.
Born on Corellia, Jon was raised in poverty, getting by on food stamps and community kitchens. When he was old enough he enlisted in Corellia's planetary defense force. As small as it was, there was still a lack of volunteers and he was accepted without much hassle. He served for five years, at the end of which he left the service with a medal or two and recommendations that got him into the CorSec academy.
Over the course of the next six years he graduated from the academy with flying colors and started rising up the ranks of CorSec. His good work was finally recognized when he was offered the opportunity to join the Sector Rangers, an opportunity he did not let slip. Passing the entrance tests and excelling in the interviews, he soon became a part of the Rangers, where he has worked to this day.
Jon is a pragmatic young man, with a dark sense of humor, an optimistically idealistic view of the world, and firm moral compass. But within the lines that he is not willing to cross, he is persistent and stubborn enough to never back down from doing what's right. He is charming and fond of the good things in life, believing that hard work and diligence is useless unless balanced by moments of self indulgence and fun.
Jon's training in the Corellian military academy turned him into a soldier, a more than competent one at that. He is an excellent marksman, be it with hold-out blasters or rifles with their greater ranges, and his time among the Rangers has helped him become good at moving without attracting too much attention to himself. Part of his training in the military involved learning how to take care of himself in case of injuries, and while not a surgeon by any means, he can patch himself and others up in a pinch without making matters worse.
Weapons Proficiency — As part of his initial training he was taught to use weapons such as hold-out blasters and vibroblades. While not bad at close quarters combat, be it unarmed or with a blade in his hand, he is better with a ranged weapon. He would much rather pick targets off from a distance than get in close, partly because he isn't comfortable with taking lives and would much rather do it from a distance than up close where he could put a face to his enemies. He is also a very quick draw, priding himself on being faster on the draw than most he punks he has faced.
Physical Abilities — As a trained soldier, Jon is in peak physical condition, with his speed, balance, and dexterity being one of his greatest assets. He is very nimble on his feet, possesses very quick reflexes, and years of training has made him exceedingly hard to track and hit. He is also a more of a brawler than a martial artist, using his size and speed to his advantage.
Technological Aptitude — Part of his training at the military and CorSec academies involved rigorous technological training, partly because of his intelligence and general aptitude for technology. He is a skilled slicer, capable of breaking into secure systems with relative ease and moving into and out of systems while leaving barely a trace. Having learnt how to fly at the academy, he greatly improved his skills as a pilot during his years as a Ranger, and while not an ace pilot any means, he is nonetheless a good pilot and a navigator, and has also learnt enough about starship repair and maintenance to be able to fix a ship if the need so arises.
Ranger — Over the course of years in active duty, Jon has become rather good at the ways of the Rangers. By learning from his mistakes, he has grown with each passing day. He has been forced to learn how to make the best of limited resources, to improvise, and to never leave any stone unturned while following a trail. He is a smart and meticulous investigator, and mostly importantly capable of identifying when he needs help and humble enough to ask for it.
@MatureContentWarningx sorry to make you do this but the character just wasn't working out so I redid it. Could you take a look at it once more? I kept it fairly short and simple, so hope it's not too much additional load!
