BIOGRAPHY
Duke grew up with only his father on Nar Shaddaa. He was the Ranger in charge of that sector and had no choice but to bring his son along with him. Duke’s mother was killed in an accident and there was no alternative for him to stay elsewhere. Even though it wasn’t the most suitable life for a child, his father did the best that he could. He taught him basic skills like how to fix basic appliances, how to shoot a blaster and even bandage his own wounds. He also managed to keep Duke in school during that time so that he could at least get an education.
But as he got older his father was killed in a gang fight, unfortunately, caught in the crossfire as he tried to save someone. It ended up with him eating multiple blaster bolts and the person he was trying to save as well. Duke was only fifteen at the time when he was completely left without any family.
Hearing of the gang fight on the news, Duke went to visit the crime scene to see where it had taken place. When he arrived, he found his father’s badge near some trash, almost hidden and clearly missed by the police when they cleaned the scene. Ever since then, Duke has always carried it on him, making a promise to honor his father and continue in his line of work.
When Duke was old enough he applied to the Rangers, his knowledge of Nar Shaddaa and the years of preparation by his father making him ready to pick up the mantle of being a Sector Ranger. He joined when he was twenty-five and spent a few years on the force already, solving smaller cases in the outer and busting those involved in his father’s murder. Duke still hadn’t found the true culprit but he would, one day and gave the man the justice he deserved.[/font]

To those who first meet, Duke could be considered gruff but after spending most of his life on Nar Shaddaa amongst people who would sell anybody out for some credits, it was only natural that he wasn’t so forthcoming.
