I didn't find anything in the Player's Handbook about having Two Major Schools of magic at the same time, but I do believe that there is a hole on how to do that. On my character's next level, I can multi class him into Sorcerer. Pretty much making him a full on spellcaster.

Any thoughts?

Where does it say taking a specialization school provides a negative caster level to your other schools? It should just say that you get an extra spell per day of your specialist school at each caster level and a +1 bonus to caster checks made with that school. But you have to give up 2 other schools of magic entirely for that.

Also, why would you go Wizard and Sorcerer at the same time? You would lose out on caster levels in both classes and end up being really weak at both. IT'S A TRAP!

Good point, but I don't think I recalled saying that specialization in a school providing a negative caster level to the other schools.

Hmmm, yeah about the multi-classing. I realize that now that you mentioned it being a trap and also that I never experimented on doing that.

Hmmm *snaps my fingers*

I got it. A Bardic Wizard focusing on Buffs and Debuffs. Weakening the enemies awhile strengthen team mates. The only weaknesses to that is Core Attributes to be used into spell DC calculation, armors, Fortitude Saving throws, Limited Spell Choices, Low Hit points, but I already have those as a Wizard.

I was looking around for examples of this combination, but only found this: LINK

Actually I came across this LINK and read a few of the comments and found that a Cleric/Invoker would be stronger in the controlling aspect I am looking for... but I already started my character down a Wizard track... Kind of hard to et away from that since the RP got started.

As I look more into the multiclasses, I think a Wizard multiclassing a Cleric might work for what I am looking for, as far as offensives and defensives is concerned. And I know Cleric/Wizard doesn't work in DDO, I tried it and I failed. But it worked well when I did the combination on tabletop. It's just wanted to see if a bard/wizard or a wizard/sorcerer would work, but I found out through looking around online that those don't.

Then again, I could go for the Ultimate Magus prestige class once I get the requirements for it. From the Complete Mage, it says leveling in Sorcerer and Wizard helps gain entry into the Ulitmate Magus prestige class.

Feel free to move this thread forward. I'll post with my character when everyone gets outside. As if he were just standing there looking at the sign until Adyern emerges from the tavern.

Should I add, change, or take down my recent post in the RP?

It's a good post. I'm waiting for the others to post before I bring up another post.
